Nationstates olympics

Hi there. The olympics have been a part of my life every four years since i was a young lad. I have enjoyed the entertainment and peace brought on by this special occasion. The small, athletic nation of Fruitables2 has limited resources to run such an event on its own. I would like to ask you all for your help in making this happen. Thanks.

Do not fear. There is already an established Olympic comittee and the Summer and Winter Olympics are run once each every year (the 11th Winter Olympics in Electrum have just finished).

This here thread is a good place to start to get a feel for the Olympic community. It also has links to prior RP, results and other threads from our previous Olympic festivities. Our next Games (XI Summer) will take place later this year, likely in late summer or early autumn.

I recommend reading up on the VI Winter Olympics and the VII Summer Olympics, for obvious reasons.

Any other questions, just ask away in the thread I linked to. Someone will be able to help.

If you don't want to wait that long, there are a few regions that run their own regional Olympics-style multi sport events. Have a gander through the forum; I'm sure you'll find something that takes your fancy. You may even find a new region to inhabit, too!
