Whoops. Yes, that should be Gunnar. He's the 25th driver in a spreadsheet which was originally designed for 24 drivers, so there's still the odd gap here and there. This was just a mistake with how final results are sorted, so didn't affect the race at all. Won't happen again.

Cheers for the heads-up.

Is there a particular reason for Terho finishing 22nd on the grid in the Aels qualifying, like an RP penalty or something, or was it just random bad luck in the scorination process? Not butthurt or anything, just wondering

Probably just bad luck. There'd be no reason for a RP penalty, or maybe your RP bonus degraded before this race.

Of course there is,

21 other randomly generated times were 'faster' than his :)

Does seem like horrible luck all things told, i'm sure he'll race fine as it should average out better than it does on a flying lap when you don't have the luck of the draw.

On the results, Ashburton and Souzare have flipped teams. Ashburton races for Ensadrink, Souzare for Archer.

Whoops! The two-tier qualifying spreadsheet hasn't been amended to auto-generate the car pictures yet, so I did them manually and, it appears, ballsed up. Fixed now.

Just a small note to say thanks to everyone for their contributions to what has so far been a really enjoyable and busy season. We've beaten the entire post total for WGPC13 already after just four weekends. Great stuff.

Next weekend will be the practice event in Frenline Delpha. There is no race, and no points to be accrued. Scorination will be at 9pm UTC next Sunday.

In fact, from race five onwards, all cut-offs will be at 9pm UTC; two hours earlier than they are currently. Tomorrow's race in Liventia will still be cut-off at the usual time of 11pm UTC.

The first mid-season practice is just about to be scorinated. The Sword Bloke's Marcus Melton will not be taking part, due to TSB's public and immediate retirement from NS in the World Cup Discussion Thread. His seat in the third WGPC Motorworks car will only be available if a new user shows willingness to RP. *Glances towards The Royal Barangay and a supposedly returning Han*.

In other WGPC Motorworks news, the team are open to the idea of replacing both Alexander Kohlon and Gunnar Lindstrom too, OOCly due to RPs that are far too short or too infrequent, ICly due to poor performances and Kohlon's disciplinary problems when it comes to social media.

Considering the news above, I'll throw in my hat. No problem at all if my sign-up comes too little, too late but I'ld be glad to get some first experience in this, possibly as test driver, bystander, ...

NAME: Galicio Palembe
GENDER: Male
NATIONALITY: Banguelan
TRIGRAM: BNG
NUMBER: 57
ABILITY: Aggression 2.6; Technique 1.6; Reliability 1.8
BIO: Car racing can not really be seen as a popular sport in Banguela, an air of big cash still hanging around the whole thing. And quite correctly so, to be fair. Previously restricted to the colonists, it did not become any cheaper once these were eliminated from the social structure. But for the small group of local, wealthy tycoons, being seen at one of the races of the Golden Wheel Series is a status symbol. Partaking was even more prestigious for a while but currently, they seem to prefer not risking their life in the second-rate vehicles that grace our tracks and leave that to rash youngsters.

Galicio Palembe, however, is still an old-school son of a wealthy construction boss with too much time on his hands. At sixteen, he already partook in the Golden Wheel races and seven years later, he has three overall victories and seventeen won heats on his scroll of honor. A society figure, he is often portrayed as arrogant, too self-assured to be good and simply a bloody bastard. That is a bit harsh on him as he will always show respect to his mechanics but he's a pain towards his few fans.

He's an all-out racer who knows little about the mechanical side of things but wants to make the tactical decisions. As he's the top dog domestically, that often turned out well but one could wonder if he handles that at a higher level. Because being the best in a pond doesn't tell foreign investors much about how you'll handle the ocean, Palembe enters the circuit with a fine amount of cash from P&P Constructions (daddy's firm), Randoil (main oil company) and - although denied by official sources - some black cash from the state. Maybe the interest from head of state Kavenge dos Riva, a tycoon himself and a good friend of the Palembe's, has something to do with that.

I'm sorry about my short RPs but the setup of story I'm using requires short RPs in order for it not to get boring.

I didn't mean for that to come across as a threat. Your RPing has been acceptable and you're under no obligation to do more/less if you don't want to. However, all teams are free to hire and fire drivers throughout the season, including WGPC Motorworks, and if latecomers are willing to get involved and RP at an Abovelandian-esque level of effort then naturally there'd be competition among all teams for their signature.

Well, this is embarassing. I just scrolled to the bottom of the RP thread looking for last night's results I'd posted last night, and couldn't find them.

For those wondering why the 'cut off' post stayed up for 12 hours without the results actually being posted, the best answer I can give is that I never actually pressed 'send' after previewing the post. I am an idiot.

Expect qualifying results to be posted in the next half an hour. Sunday's race will be scorinated early on Monday evening (about 8pm UTC) to account for the error.

*mutters to self: "great timing Audio..."

Seeing others still signing up, and the news from WGCP Motorworks, may I still sign up a driver? I was interested when I first saw this, but discovered NS too late, so it was already too late when I saw it. :(

Allright then:

NAME: Mick Schramm
GENDER: male
NATIONALITY: West-East Timor
TRIGRAM: WET
NUMBER: 25
ABILITY: Aggression: 3 Technique: 1 Reliability: 2
BIO: Born in 1993 in Isnalkorvburg, West-East Timor, Mick Schramm started in kart racing, driving his first kart race at the age of 8. When he was 12 he won the West-East Timorian First Kart Championship in his class and did it again the following two years. At the age of 15, he drove his first race in the Formula WET4, a junior series, which he won the next year. After that, Schramm drove for the little team Urlash Racing in Formula WET3, and surprisingly won the championship. Next year he drove for the same team in Formula 2WET and got 5th. Then, in 2011, Mick signed at Little Cheese Racing, the junior team of Formula WET1 top team "WET Cheese by Nick Newman" in Formula 2WET. He won the championship and in 2012 and at the age of 19 he drove his first season in the prestigious Formula WET1 for Neumayer Racing, as team mate of Bernd Neumayer, whose father owns Neumayer Racing and is a good friend of Nick Newman. He got 10th in the championship and changed to WET Cheese for the next season, in which he got second, what was no surprise, because his team mate were the experienced driver Michael Proose. But in 2014 Schramm won with a difference of 50 points between him and his team mate. The next year he did it again and at the moment he is at the top in the 2016 Formula WET1 Championship Drivers Classification.

He had been promised a seat for this season by SinoMotors. However, internal strife in the People's Republic of the Glorious Han and investigations into SinoMotors' practices led to the closure of the team and the nation's complete withdrawal from the competition.
