Whittoria wrote:ROLEPLAY CUTOFF: 8:00 PM

Get it in before 8 tonight; each roleplay will earn you one point for your style modifier; there is no limit to how many RP's you do, but put some effort into it (no ":LoLz we won coz' we're the BeSttttttt!!!!", actually write something out). After the cutoff if you roleplay you will not be awarded the bonus for that week but it will be added for the next week.

I'll check your RP's and add modifiers accordingly either, but it's a little easier when you go back to the signup thread and edit your modifier there after each RP.

I thought about this for a while, and I've decided that rosters will also give you a bonus modifier. I still encourage those who already/are going to post rosters to actually do a newspaper article or something of the sort. I'll do it for each roster posted; if you mention more than one team in an RP (like how I went through all four of my teams in mine), you will get one point for each team; IF you so choose then you can distribute the points differently (like me taking all four of those points and funneling them al into USCR and UB, WU, and TC getting none) If you choose this then OOC: at the end of your post and tell me how you'd like them distributed. I don't know of anyone that does anything like this, so yeah.

Also, I'm toying with the idea of doing individual awards (like the Maxwell & Thorpe) or an All-SAC & All-Independent teams (or both); each team would nominate their best 2 or 3 players and we all vote on the best based on RP stats (nothing rediculous, although every once in a while we all get someone who IS rediculous). Just something to think about.

RP Cut Off in 1.5 hours WOAH!!

If anyone's interested and has an image editor like Photoshop (or is just really really good with MS paint), would anybody want to design a logo for our conference?

Dig, mane.

Throw a few stats out there too, otherwise I'd just have to pick at random (stats or %age of a stat)

In the Future we'll have a committe of three or four people who will pick these, but for now I'll just take the best guy with stats.

Whittoria Submits:

Offensive MVP:
RB Marvin Walton
-1,180 rushing yards
-11 rushing touchdowns
-570 receiving yards
-4 receiving touchdowns
WR David Amos
-1,060 receiving yards
-15 receiving TD's

Defensive MVP:
CB Chris Galloway
-11 Interceptions (2 returned for TDs)
-56 deflected passes
-47 tackles (3 for loss)
-1 Sack
-2 Forced Fumbles (0 recovered)
DE James Broome
-122 tackles (34 for loss)
-7 sacks
-20 deflected passes
-4 forced fumbles (2 recovered)
-1 INT
-2 defensive TDs

Special Teams MVP:
K Jeffrey Miller
-100% Field Goals
-1 reception for 15 yards
-2 TDs
-1 INT (for TD)
-10 Touchbacks on Kickoffs

KR/PR Buck Henry
-2 PR for TDs
-2 KR for TDs
-1,600 return yards

Of course, now that I've put mine first you can just make all of your stats better than mine.

But then you'd be a dick! :)

unless they all just had better stats, which sometimes happens

Like I always say, if yer gonna be a dick, better pretend to be a HUGE one ;)
Though it has to be said, we did outscore everyone, so don't be surprised at my offensive claims

Offensive MVP nominations
QB: Stuart Frain
180/240 completed 75% passes for a total of 1,824 yards
24 touchdowns thrown to 7 different receivers
1 touchdown run in

WR: Kent Jillson
1,380 yards receiving
15 touchdowns

Defensive MVP nominations
RCB: Hans Geering
8 interceptions (1 returned for TD)
43 deflected passes
41 tackles
3 sacks
3 forced fumbles

SA: August Madison
3 interceptions
77 tackles
2 sacks
19 passes deflected
2 forced fumbles

Special Teams MVP nominations
KR: Mark Bernardino
42 returned for 1,001 yards
2 touchdowns (98 and 102 yards)

K/P: Chase Dentremont[/quote]
field goals 17/18 (1 missed, from 55 yards)
PAT conversion (near) 98% (1 blocked)

So my offense guys are a little better (stat wise) and my defense players a little less good (stat wise) ;)

Tharmenstein Saints don't want to be independent, so if anyone does, we'll swap. Also, for next season, we'd like to make a formal name change request to the "Mikhaylovka Saints"

The name change can be done; is that for the mascot name or the school name as well?

No need to worry about being independent; all current independents are going to form the Big Midwest Conference.

ICAA Offseason Updates:

Okay guys, the number of bowls for Season 2 is going to increase. Seeing as how I've already got two bowl games in Whittoria I'd like to see you guys come up with stuff. (Because these things should be spread around everywhere) Right now I'm thinking we could add 3 more bowl games.

If you want a bowl with a cool name then go for it. If you want it presented by a sponser in your nation have at it. Or if you just want it named after a sponser then that's fair game too (I do request that no one submitt anything stupid). I know Saint Haden wanted a bowl last year named after a sponser; SH if you still want to submitt it go ahead man. Tutlingburg had a pretty cool idea too with the Tulip Bowl. (I'm hoping someone will submitt the Peach Bowl. hint hint wiink wink nod nod)

Also, if there are any specifics on who goes to your bowl game then make that clear (the only example that I can think of is that The Rose Bowl always takes the Pac-10 and Big Ten champs; so if there's anything like that throw it out there).

Also Also: How does everyone feel about going to a longer schedule: 14 weeks, 12 games, 2 byes?

Also Also Also: Any opinions on playoffs? Personally I'd like to have 4 conferences before we have a playoff, but if we can get to three then I could dig it. What do you guys think?

One more thing: I remember someone telling me that with the NSCAA they were a little disappointedd that all their teams were in one conference. If anyone wants to spread out and have one or two in all rather than all in just one tell me here. I personally would like to move Tuttle College to the BMWC and Whitt U to the SAC, so make those requests here.

Finally: Any ideas on anything post 'em here. B/c I wanna know.

Alright, readysetGO!

From the hosting end of it, as far as providing timely scorination, you did a decent job. Though if I had participated, I would have been on you about typing out the full names of schools in the standings rather then the alphabet soup look of your tables.

I could tell you were annoyed by the lack of RP during your first season. This is because you didn't listen to my suggestion before and wait until the World Cup was over, partially, but also because you didn't considering the histories of those that had signed up to participate. Other then F1-Insanity and Lithatrius to an extent, none of the participants had any history of RP so to think they were all of the sudden going to start participating was way too ambitious. You were eager to begin, and you did, I can't really blame you. The important thing is that you showed you have good ability to host.

But now, you can't just start up a "season 2" doing the same things as "season 1". For instance, when you start up another conference and someone says they aren't going to RP, then you flush their hopes down the toilet, especially when it is yet another person who never RP's. No ones going to take you seriously, and this will never get off the ground more then it has to this point. Take it slow, do not allow one person to have more then two schools right now, and if the person never participated in the first season, then don't even allow them to have two schools.

That's a start. I think you have very good potential, but you're letting those who don't have much of a reputation swing you in the wrong direction. F1-Insanity is the only participant I see that has good experience here. The regulars have tried to help you, don't put their advise aside in favor of some of these people that sign up and then disappear.

I have two teams in here, one in the Big Midwest Conference and 1 independent. and I am a newcomer for season 2. I was wondering how you schedule thing, especially for independents. Is it the 4 non conference, 8 conference, and conference championship? and how do you do it for independents?

The main point I would like to make is that I like this idea, but having it at the same time as the World Cup of football (soccer) certainly did not do this good idea any favors. So I'd say this is best done between qualifiers and world cup football (soccer) and/or after the football (gridiron) world bowl.

Not to mention it also conflicted with World Baseball Classic 14, another heavily RP'd tournament.... and one with most of your "American" NS Sports base (which is obviously the target group here) that participates quite a bit. I'd recommend starting season 2 after world bowl, using the world bowl to try and attract people to this. Signups should start halfway into the World Bowl. But that's just me.
