You'd almost think it was a joke...

I was just searching the forum's archives and found this post. Must have been back in at least May 2015. So long ago! Is The Jeckish Union is still active? It'd be cool to see what he's up to after all these years.
Anyway, I'm back everyone. Did you miss me? I haven't been active since World Cup 71 but I'm still up for RPing!
Nice to see a few old faces like Kaboomlandia and Madesu are still around.
See you soon!

Completely up to you; it's a concept called fluid time. The two main 'ageing rates' are 4 years per WC and 2 years per WC (which more or less works out at 1 years per UICA cycle), but there have been others. One nation, Candelaria and Marquez IIRC, had their politicians (or was it players?) age in real time, but everybody else aged at 4 per WC.

There's also Sanctii-Gregoryisgodistan time (1 day in RL = 1 day in NS) and Republican time (1 year = 1 WCC cycle).

Does that mean that, technically, Sanctii players could play for 30 straight World Cups on a purely age basis? 30 WCs is only around 8-10 years, so...

They don't necessarily have to be actual 'Scouts' as such, just youth movements that include suitable 'outdoors' activities in their programmes, that aren't tied to a specific church (although individual groups within the movement can have religious affiliations) or a specific political party, and that aren't used as reserves or a cadet-training system for their nation's armed forces...
The Babbage Islands has already expressed interest in participating, and hopefully will be willing & able to scorinate a few sporting contests between attending groups -- as they did last time around (during WC 56, or thereabouts) -- too.

A reminder to you that this is open.
TBI has confirmed that they are willing to scorinate a few contests during this festival -- probably the same three as last time, which were Orienteering, Tug-of-War, and Croquet -- although if we get alot of sign-ups then the number of places available may have to be rationed.
So far, apart from nations belonging to either myself or TBI, we have one other country sending participants.
