Dunno, if it's important or not, but seeing as most chapters were on a World Cup... Eh, whatevs.

http://www.nationstates.net/nation=nort ... /id=389276

I decided to take some time up and do this list of every single Radio Esportiva chapter, divided by seasons and what not. Feel free to revive any chapter you might have liked.

(Keep in mind the chapters might have some problems, but because I find it funny to point out my own mistakes, I'll keep them as it is and try to avoid screwing up on newer chapters)

I decided to try something different and have a Prom season open for all.

Since WCQ will be happening at July to September of 2018 in Quebecois IC time, I had felt that this may be a good thing to RP on for this WCQ. With QBC Proms being with history, tradition and variety in its contents from all across the Quebec and Multiverse (not to mention the user behind this don't know how he can fill in all min. 75, max. 102 slots for QBC Proms), it'd also make sense for it to have some foreign participants as well.

So.....Go ahead and TG me with the information of the performers and the pieces, as have shown (as an example) in this post. Since I haven't decided on how many proms there'd be this season, I'll leave it open for some slots. International groups are welcome, but groups not fitting the criteria (OOC: not typing in enough or proper information with great details) will not be accepted.

Anyone who wishes to be involved in this may telegram me. It is essentially a rip-off of sorts of this, however, all the actual talks are my creative work.

I am open to anything in regards to collaboration. If you would like to make your own speaker, you may use the logo and the header format and write your own talk in your own. Or, you may just give me a speaker's name and a topic and I will write the actual talk in one of my posts. Either way, please telegram me first.

I've got more bad news for you all. I never signed up for WC 71, and yet somehow I am participating in Group 11:

Putting aside the fact that I have no idea how you got entered into the World Cup as, as you say, you never signed up for it...

Maybe I have some not bad news.

I don't think anyone (Who actually signed up...) got left out in your place. I mean, naturally, someone could have still signed up to take that place, but thats water under the bridge at this point.

I ran a comparison on the signups vs. the entries and they check out. There were only 161 unique entrants in the final 'official' sign ups list posted in the signup thread. There were 162 nations listed, but one of them, Azrea, was listed twice. Minus the hosts; both lists have just 159 nations.

Then, randomly adding Neu Engollon in to fill out the field at 160. Makes perfect sense? :) I guess the questions are:

1) How did you get added in to the tournament despite having never signed up

and...

No, thats probably the only relevant question here!

I am relieved that no one got bumped because of my unwarranted appearance, really I am. It is an excellent question as to how I was thrown in the mix. I did a search of the sign ups for WC71, because it was plausible that in a late night, drunken state I may have changed my mind, but...No, I really did not sign up.

But he was wrong. It was he who was the traitor, he the dictator, he the true tyrant. I returned to above the waves and presented the location of the merpeople's treasure to the dictator of Stvoto Latoli, who greedily took the coordinates without thanking me. As I leapt atop my broom, I could already hear the wailing of the merpeople from the depths; their last shred of dignity, the last remnant of their kingdom, their last symbol of hope; raped by the tyrannical humans.

I think it would be great if Azrea would post a Roster and/or RP considering they were so excited about this competition that they actually did sign up twice (2 separate sign up posts), presumably the root cause or at least a contributor to this confusing situation :)

In fact, Gylias was the last nation that signed up and got included in the final field. Conservativland, Kaboomlandia and Catarona were all left out despite actually signing up, so somebody did get left out due to the bizarre decision to include Neu Engollon without a signup.

Yes and no

Yes, they could have played, I think some of them I interpreted that they wanted to play in a BoF so that could be interpreted as them wanting to wait.

However, no one was left out as in, No nation who was on the official list of "You will be in the World Cup 71" was omitted in favor of Neu Engollon. IE: No one was told they were going to be in the World Cup, but isn't.

Azrea signed up twice for reasons unknown, nobody caught it until, presumably, one of the hosts noticed when setting up the groups (?) - and then somehow Neu Engollon made their way in instead of the signups being opened longer or one of the 3 you cite claiming that spot.

But, no one who was told they were in, was left out, at least.

IC that sounds like part of the same confusion that's led to Group 8 now having two different sets of results (the first of which was RPed about before being replaced) for Matchday 1: The Bears will blame it on lingering side-effects of the Multiversal 'Crisis of Infinite Mirth' that Bears Armed was already RPed as being affected by during the last few Cups.

Sarcasm is probably not really helpful.

The best thing to do is stay the course. Every World Cup has its clerical errors - it's an exceptionally hard and thankless event to host - and these ones have both been resolved. Besides, Neu Engollon's even RPed, which is probably more than any of the unranked nations who didn't get into the World Cup would've done.

Agreed. I don't see a problem with the Neu Engollon situation, other than at some point, a possible comment about how two entries from Azrea became an Azrea + a Neu Engollon.

It doesn't really matter though, no one is talking about restarting, no one is complaining about being left out even though they were told they are in.

Look at it this way, every cup ~5 of the debutant nations (or more) CTE and/or never post and/or never participate again.

With Neu Engollon, we've already done better than that. Far worse things have happened in World Cup history - and nothing was done other than to stay the course then, either.

First off, thanks for realizing the fact that even though there are gasp real people behind each nation, who actually make mistakes. Well appreciated and thoughtful commentary on your behalf. /s

And to explain why I somehow added Neu Engollon to the mix, what occurred (at least to the greatest recollection) was that while I was organizing the first few pots last Monday night in the wee hours, I was sleep deprived and for some reason, my mind thought "hmm, Neu Engollon is missing from the sign-ups, so I should add him" and added Neu Engollon into the mix because of the aforementioned reason. This situation is totally my fault because I had done both the pots and the group draw all by myself, without Felix (which most likely would have prevented this mess-up in the first place).

I would like to apologize deeply for the situation I've created here. I know this situation could have been prevented, but it wasn't due to my naivety. But the show must go on, and the best will be made of this situation.

The only people who really have any particular ground to criticise World Cup hosts are those people who have hosted a World Cup in the past - and these people know exactly how much hard work and effort goes into one of these competitions (when I hosted WC69 for example, the entire process took nearly three months from planning a bid to the final took three months, even if there was only a week or so where I was required to scorinate and grade a lot each day), and as a result, former hosts don't tend to criticise much.

It's a World Cup, people always make mistakes, and so far all the mistakes made this World Cup have been incredibly minor. Criticising the hosts will not help anything - it's enough hard work as it is.
