Question for hosts, will the knockout phases be in the RL World Cup bracket (Winner Group A vs Runner-Up Group B etc.) or the bracket used in World Cup 69 (Winner Group A vs Runner-Up Group D etc.)?

pff, as if that question really matters to the two of you... ;)

***cackles grimly then runs to hide in hopes of not being lynched***

I would venture to guess it will go back to the standard one (RL version) based on ES's last host with Cass (WC 67), but that's just a guess and a pony will do what a pony will do. After all Chaps do some strange things now and then..

Knockout phases will be as the RL World Cup bracket as you said Sarian, there's no changes in that matter.

Will all the teams from Groups A-D be on the same side of the bracket (and the same for Groups E-F) or will it be possible for a team to switch from being scorinated by one host to being scorinated by the other before the final? In RL, teams from the same group can't meet until the finals, but in past NS World Cups, they could meet in the semifinals since they were on the same side of the bracket to make scorination easier. And will it be the same for the Cup of Harmony?

For people feeling understandably let-down by Ruentenbach's failure to post a roster, there's a version in his factbooks which is at least more recent than WC69.

As one can note in the RP thread, I made a list of the seventy best players at the World Cup. Note the use of the word 'a' instead of 'the' list. It's nowhere near a 'definitive' list and it certainly doesn't pretend to be one - it's just 'a' list that 'a' magazine in Buyan could consider the best ones. Of course are IC comments, complaints and disagreements more than welcome, as are OOC corrections and notifications, but it was and is just a fun RP - that asked a lot more time than I had first in mind - which gives a view on some of the big players created by the participants to the World Cup.

As you'll note, I've added a little poll to it as well. Each and everyone of you - so also nations who aren't in the final 32 - are more then invited to list the 'best ten' the way they seem most fit and send it to Ministerio. Once again, an IC/OOC comment isn't necessary, but certainly appreciated. It doesn't pretend to be 'the worldwide survey and the Golden Ball', just a simple view of the readers of a simple magazine in Buyan. If I would have created the list on another day, the order would be completely different - although I think that most of the top ten would be the same.

My apologies if I made a mistake in the descriptions, I've did a lot of research on it but can't promise everything is correct. Also my apologies if you feel your player(s) have been underappreciated - but know it was done with the best of intentions. And my apologies if it would overstep someone's RP permissions - don't hesitate to TG me if that's the case.

CoH Host Announcement

Ok, so a lot of people got confused when exactly the cutoff was going to be for the first matchday of the CoH Group Stage. People didn't know that I and my co-host were using the dates for cutoff in UTC time. So, after a consultation with my cohost, we've decided to postpone CoH MD1 by exactly twenty four hours; a break day will be removed from the schedule to compensate for this.

Well, I'm here to say that I'm extremely sorry by the errors I made last night with the Worlc Cup Finals tables for Groups A-D, and wanted to say that I assume full responsability by the mistakes who happened with the tables, nothing was deliberated, the tables were made manually instead of doing a most secure process that could have avoid this mess. Right now I fixed the tables by creating one with the table generator of xkoranate, something that I must have used since the beginning to avoid this. Once again, I feel ashamed by doing this, I hope this was one of my first errors and my last error of my hosting portfolio.Apologies for this mess that shouldn't have happened.

EDIT: Nothing sinister, merely human error. And also I want to give my commiserations to all of the nations who get elimination, I hope that Maggie rewards your effort the next time. :)
