Anglatia wrote:I've already begun working on my RP series for the World Cup, which, without spoiling any details, is half about the members of the national team when they're off the pitch, and half about the interaction between sports and organized crime in Anglatia. For the first time I'm trying something new and giving you guys the choice of who the main POV character is. Here's the options:
Sami Haawk: The disgraced Bathgate City star is under investigation for a slew of crimes, although the one that everyone knows him for is being an accomplice to a murder. Haawk's girlfriend is behind the death of youth star Ajay Oyekan, but Haawk and Danicic left the country to avoid prosecution. In addition, certain people in Ross have reason to cover up his wrongdoings, ranging from the Emperor himself to Haawk's sponsor, Monarch.
Wilson Tahiri: Not many know who he is. They just know that the immigrant manager has led the team to beat expectations on numerous occasions. With changes in his home country, Tahiri is bracing for skeletons to begin flying out of his closet left and right.
Isa Tangemen: Possibly the biggest flop in Ross United history, before she's even played a full season. Tangemen won the Imperial Cup with United before suffering a bad breakup and trying (but failing) to kill herself. She missed most national team training camps because of her personal problems, but she's still the nation's number one keeper with Eli Shan in early retirement. She's more concerned with finding love than playing well, but much to the annoyance of her managers, those two things are tied together.
Cassius Sparks: A wheeling and dealing young agent who will do anything to get ahead. Cassius Sparks never had a good career with athletics, and went into agency after college. He notably represented Zahara Santana, who now truly despises him for reasons that are still unclear. He does however represent young stars Maura Vera and Alvin Escelara. He's been called a sociopath, though he doesn't know why he has this label.
Maurico Jaco: The hot blooded backup to Isa Tangemen, Jaco is the definition of a loose cannon. The Barriga keeper has fought with everyone from teammates to fans, but is undeniably talented. He's also quite cutthroat. (I'm not hinting anything, but...)
Marco Saint Paul: Marco's fame has been a detriment to him, but the Emerald City midfielder is still a good prospect for the national team. It's been a rough last season for him, because of off the pitch drama, but on the pitch, Marco has been sensational in the few appearances he has with his nation. But his fame and his relationship with Blaze Chrzanowska could bring him face to face with some people who could end his career real quick.
The poll is here: http://www.strawpoll.me/11171100
I look forward to seeing who wins, and the only other hint I'm giving about this series is that the title of it so far is Ross.
