What hasn't been taken over by either the alt-right or the SJWs, with their equally repugnant bigotry?

Hello everyone, sorry if I do derail this conversation any further. But I just wanted to put an update out there. Many of you may not have known this, but I was going to University to Teach English, but that was quite derailed last year when i was somewhat unceremoniously forced out of the teaching program, the last three or so years have been hard on me, and my family with my mom having multiple strokes, and me being away and going through a lot of stuff at school beyond what was going on at home. I did manage to graduate school with just an English degree, I do hope to go back to school to get my teaching certification next year or the year after (perhaps at a different school than I graduated from). In any case I have been far from keeping in touch with the goings on of NS world, and although still involved in some events, for the most part not staying involved in much beyond the first few matchdays of the world cup, the first half of the Grand Prix, and my bi-monthly updates of the Premier League. Anyways I just wanted to let you all know I am hopefully going to redouble my efforts to be apart of NS once again, and not to be a ghost in the abyss of darkness that I seemingly have been.

In some non-NS related items I have recently started some resume building enterprises to help in case I fully decide not to go back to school, at least for a while, based on the love of writing I had before I discovered NS, almost what...9 years ago. In any case you can find my work both on opinionatedgaming.com (or Itunes, its a gaming podcast), or at http://section215.com/category/philadelphia-union/ where I continue to write about soccer. It would mean a lot if the community that embraced me for such a long time, would take a chance at some of my work. Thanks.

Congrats to Turori/Vilita.

Given my inability to RP while in Argentina - and my missing all but the last two matchdays - I felt a little awkward about reaching the final of an RP-based tournament, so I'm pleased (and a little relieved) that the more active RP'er won.

Just a gentle reminder for those of you who may be considering World Cup bids, please try to get these in order so we can start the signup process properly.

It sure doesn't seem like it. If I was bidding, my bid would have already been up a week or 2 ago. :p

On the other hand, that doesn't necessarily mean that I *won't* bid if nobody else steps forward or I have some kind of serious concern with the bid(s) that are put forward. ;)

Relax, there is a bid about 3/4 of the way to being finished. All we're waiting on now is to figure out if one of our planned 4-host quartet is actually going to participate or if we're going to need to go with the regular two-person bid.

Considering that the sign up thread stays open for at least a month, and the BoF, qualifications, world cup proper and cup of harmony probably lasts a month and a half or 2 months and we have 3 or 4 months cycles, I think it's not too early to start the signup process.

Prusy Krolewskie is planning to come back in the next world cup. :)

Thanks! Last year I wasn't happy with Pays d'en Haut's results at the world cup and lost interest in NS sports, then school started in september, and my nations eventually CTEd in february or march. Then I came back in may when the school year was over but it was too late to join the world cup. I'm planning to stay active even when I'll go back to school in september but I'll probably enter just one nation in most competitions.

Your new president's first decree* is to ban the traditional inter-cup argument about how long of a gap there should be between one World Cup and the next.

Not only are we not going to have fewer than three WCs per year, but we also are not going to start signups the very second the final whistle blows in the preceding final.

* Not an actual decree.
