You could RP in the AOCAF, or other similar competition, as a build up to your return :)

Or host an invitational tournament of your own in the offseason?

True. I'm spending time updating databases and bouncing ideas in my head at the moment, but I'm sure I'll get something off the ground at some point.

Apologies for not stating this in the signups thread, but the window for host bids for the WC and BoF will end on Saturday 13th June at approximately midday UTC+1.

Also note that PIS and I are coming to the end of our run as Prez/VPrez dream team this World Cup, so I'll also be accepting nominations for WCC President for WCs 73-75 during that host vote as well.

I'll post this all in the sign-ups now as well, so it doesn't get buried in here as well.

Has there been a delay in the Di Bradini scorinating?

My name's been misspelled in the Di Bradini scorinating. It's written as Kaboomblandia.

It may be more effective to telegram the host, Equestrian States, directly rather than post about it here. There is no guarantee that EQS will read this before scorinating the next matchday of the DBC.

Especially since the Di Bradini Cup, while a respected tournament with considerable overlap of participants, isn't a World Cup Committee-recognised event, and therefore technically doesn't come under the purview of the WCDT.

Not that I'm suggesting that the DBC can't be brought up here - no harm done there - I'm merely noting that the WCDT isn't necessarily the first place someone might come to to raise minor points of order about the running of the tournament.

Hello all,

I am alive. The first year of my masters hit me like a bucket of lead, and, I expect the second year will hit me even harder. This accounts for my woeful presence here in recent months, a truly sorry amount of activity, and a frankly shameful treatment of my duties and commitments in various sports. For which, of course, I apologise profusely.

However, I have zero intention of leaving, and will spend this summer getting back up to date with everything, and preparing myself so that next year - when my uni commitments come thick and fast - I am prepared with rosters, results, and RPs in my back pocket all ready to post so I can keep up my presence without needing to scupper my chances of ever qualifying as an architect.

With that in mind, it will come as little surprise to anyone I hope that I will be publicly and visibly declining and refusing any nominations I may receive in the coming WCC elections. In the light of my recent absence, VP Apox has done a dutiful and sterling job that deserves much praise and congratulations from everyone. I dropped him in it, well and truly, and for that I also apologise publicly, but also commend him on the fabulous job he's done.

It has been my honour and my privilege to be your president for the past however many cycles, and perhaps one day I can return to that side of things. Until then, I will be around to offer advice and guidance where necessary to the next presidential team, but for the forseeable future I will be seeking forgiveness, not re-election.

*manly, tearful salute*

For those of you with players in my league/my players in their teams, let me know if you've done anything to move them around in my absence - all such moves will be accepted by me without argument, as is only fair. For those of you looking to explain things away like I will be, the RP-line that I will be pursuing is a geographical and meteorologically appropriate one. Namely, that a nationwide blizzard and deep freeze rendered shipping, flights, and outdoor pursuits almost impossible for long enough stretches of time that the league was unable to run, my anti-freeze technology was overcome, and the national team couldn't commit to travel abroad for the Copa. Some players already left when they had the opportunity to do so to a more non-frozen league, and that suits my storyline just fine. My league will be picking up where it left off, and considering the last year a write-off.

I will also be putting up a storefront for my kits soon, on a casual basis. Making kits and badges is one of the things that got me into NSSports in the first place, and a little trip back into that world can't hurt me as I ease back into being active here.

Thanks,

PIS.
