Day 1: Namor gets gold
Medals won in swimming, weightlifting, shooting

HARTLY, AININ - Day 1 of the Esquarian Games in Hartly, Ainin has seen great advances made by the Namorese team. In only one day, Namorese athletes won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal, putting it on #2 of the medal count list after Britanno, which won the same number of gold medals but has more silver medals than Namor (which currently has none).

In streets of cities nationwide, Namorese are watching the Esquarian Games live, with much excitement for the action packed as well as for their athletes. The thrill brought by the three medals led to many cheering wildly, waving the Gukchi and singing the national anthem as the awards ceremony took place. It is anticipated that as the Esquarian Games continue, and the Namorese continue to do their best, more will be attracted to see the Games unfold from their television screens.

The performance of Namorese athletes are focused here today.

Boxing

In the Men's Bantamweight Boxing, Namorese boxer Wangchang Jen knocked out Caucasia's Desmond Yotaman. That's all there is to say here. Whether Wangchang can keep up his decent show in the next round is something time can only tell.

Most Namorese spectators are surprised that Namorese athletes can go this far in boxing.

Baseball - Day 1

The Namorese baseball team was defeated by that of the Nihilistic View, not being able to get any home runs in all nine innings. Although the Nihilistic View's team is considered just as mediocre, they managed to sneak one point in the 2nd, 4th and 6th innings, leading to them defeating Namor 3-0. This brings Namor on the bottom of the Group C list.

Football - Day 2
Another defeat for the Namorese men's football team. In a faceoff with Orientalia, Namor lost 0-2 to Orientalia. Like baseball, Namor is ranked last in Group D. Some say that this is a humiliating scene---Unolia and Luziyca are in the same group, and they are way ahead of the Namorese; however, the truth is that only foreigners play football, so who cares about football, really?

But here's the "better" news---the women's team tied with the Tarcticans, whose team is badly funded thanks to the country's anarchic situation. But Namor is on the bottom of Group C in women's football.

Both teams were unable to score a single goal. No surprise, and this is coming from a Namorese sports commentator.

No facepalm needed though. Who cares about football?

Gymnastics Preliminary Round - Men's Individual
An embarrassing start for the god-tier Namorese gymnastics team. Jeff Caldwell of Ainin is unexpectedly leading the round. Namor's Dong Hua is tied with Crolacia's Daniel Paskal in fourth; both Sing Sang and Txo Mang are tied for ninth; Chen Men is in 30th place, tied with Luziyca's Zitomir Brodszky. Both Elo Si and Aksa Kudesi were eliminated.

Men's Shooting
This is where Namor won its first bronze medal in the Games. In the qualification round, Tzo Jing scored a total of 578 points, putting him behind Fabian Belamy of Kastiya and Ainin's Michael Hunt. The 10m Air Pistol Final resulted in Belamy taking gold, Hunt taking silver, and Tzo taking bronze.

Tzo says he is satisfied with his medal, but adds that he could have done better.

"There is room for improvement," he told PTH.

Swimming
Namor's Miko Sangjan initially did rather well in the 100m Breaststroke Qualification with a time of 1 minute and 1 second, but fell short in the final round, when he turned out dead last with a time of 1:01:99. As a result, Miko ended up winning nothing in men's breaststroke.

"We have to be honest with ourselves and what we got," Miko said.
Image
(From left to right): Lang Tzu, Peng Gladys, Youja Kana
and Tam Yang, the four Namorese who won Namor's first gold medal

But here's news that good for the ear and soul to hear---the women's team was able to put up a glorious show for the Namorese team, winning the first gold medal for Namor. In the women's 4x100m Freestyle Relay, the Namorese relay team won gold, while North Daecon got silver and Caucasia won bronze. Tam Yang and Lang Tzu dived into the pool first, and while the race was fierce and Lang almost fell short when she almost reached the finish, Peng Gladys jumped in and turned the tide for the team, separating her from the other swimmers. And when Kana jumped in and swam, it was over for everyone else; Namor had won a gold medal in the relay with a time of 3:37.83.

News of the Namorese victory was met with crazy excitement among Namorese fans, all of them astonished and happy to see their country win the first gold in the Hartly Gold Rush in only a short amount of time.

"You know, this was quite well-deserved," said team captain Youja Kana, panting once after she did the final lap in the relay. "We worked hard, we worked together, and this is what we get. We had our eyes set on this."

Tennis
In women's tennis singles, the Namorese played against each other. Na Selin ended up eliminating fellow rival Gong Haivang.

Volleyball
In Day 1 of Indoor Volleyball, the Namorese men's volleyball team tried to even things out with the Michillians, known for their expertise in volleyball, both indoor and beach. Yet ultimately Michillies defeated Namor in all three sets, tying Namor with Luziyca for last in Group B.

Moving on to beach volleyball, the women's pair Shenwo Nakume and Jiao Chen lost 13-21 to Unolians Conla Stanson and Lila Oh in the first match, and 18-21 in the second match. This makes the Namorese tied with the Aininians in Group D for now.

Weightlifting
Another moment of glory for Namor as Ya Ruo took the second gold the team has acquired in Hartly in the Women's 48kg weightlifting. She narrowly defeated Vyvland's Ahaga Unjrebruj and Luziyca's Slavica Vilenkin. The red can be seen on Luziyca's face as The Constitution mentioned only Slavica, but not Ya Ruo.

Once Chilipa, Namora (Namor's national anthem) was heard for yet the second time since the Games opened, many Namorese fans went wild. Some even hooted "Tuchilapa, Luzeyika (Тучилапа, Лузеджика; You mad, Luziyca)?" after the anthem was played, Ya saluted and walked off the podium with her gold medal. It was an insult quite entertaining to hear for anyone who had some steak against the Luzzies.

The Bottom Line
This is a day that will go down in Namor's history as a sporting power. Although the Hartly Games is not over yet, and the Namorese athletes still have a lot of medals to win, the fact that Namor has already won two gold medals and one bronze medal shows that this is no longer Brookopolis for our fans. With that, we finish the bottom line off wishing our athletes good luck as the Esquarian Games in Hartly continue.

Other news
  • Nevan narration of Hartly Games opening ceremony criticized by anti-racism figures - Nevan television's coverage of the Hartly Games was met with heavy criticism from many who are opposed to the country's racist political system. Nevan television was said to have reiterated the importance of "traditional values," and even spouted slurs against blacks and other non-whites, calling the Nevan team the "purest" of all teams in the Esquarian Games.
  • Central Council members propose act banning usage of anti-Namorese racial slurs - Some Liberationist representatives in the Central Council proposed a bill which, if passed, will throw heavy punishment on people caught saying Namophobic racial slurs. The opposing New Democratic Party has not yet voiced its position on the bill.
  • Chiang Biao mowed at last? - Unolia's state paper, The Firebrand, somberly expressed disappointment at national favorite Chiang Biao's performance in shooting.

Yet another Refrigerium commercial: "What makes Refrigerium so great?"
(feat. Guest Speaker Nushen)

A gymnast is stretching before a competition. She is sweating, and a little worried of the outcome of the competition. Suddenly, someone places an arm around the gymnast. The gymnast looks around, and meets face to face with Namor's national personification, holding a sword as well as a bottle of---

"Refrigerium?" asks Nushen, waving the bottle in front of the gymnast's eyes. "You'll need it."

The gymnast is astonished, and gives a modest grin. "Heh, thanks, Nushen, but I don't need it now. I have a competition to face and medals to win."

"You have to realize, Refrigerium is what makes this world such a great and interesting place," begins Nushen on her short lecture on what makes Refrigerium so great. "It was created by the creativity of Namorese minds, the fruits of Namorese labor, and is a representative of what it means to be Namorese, and what our country is destined for.

"But it's not just about our country. Refrigerium is what brings Esquarium together. Here in the Esquarian Games, Refrigerium is the brand that reminds people the importance of unity and building a better world for all Esquarians.

"Now are you going to drink Refrigerium or not? Because I don't have all day."

The gymnast smiles and takes Nushen's bottle, drinking it and everything inside, before letting out a refreshing "ahhh."

"This is nice! I feel energetic!" exclaims the gymnast. "Thanks, Nushen, Refrigerium is definitely what brings us all together!"

Nushen frowns. "We...were supposed to share that bottle?"

The gymnast's smile fades before the commercial ends.

Analysis: Day -1 and the First Medals
Britanno unexpectedly leads; Ainin 4th
Image
Day 1 Medal Tally
HARTLY, LK ― Day 1 was the first true day of the Esquarian Games, and there certainly was a lot of action. While Team Ainin didn't reach first place on the medal table as we would have wanted, we did get a medal of each colour on this day, hailing from swimming, shooting and fencing. And, adding to the hilarity of the ridiculous jingoism espoused by the Luziycan media, Team Lulziyca was locked out of a gold medal victory anywhere.

Boxing

On this day were contested the first rounds of the Middleweight and Bantamweight men's boxing events. In Bantamweight, Aininian athlete Kristopher Douglas defeated North Daeconese boxer Nathan Muscio by judge decision after the scores were tied at the end of the fight at 8-8. Meanwhile in Middleweight, Aininian Abner Hadley got off to a rough start in the first round and ended up losing by points 12-9 to Hank Jones of Bormeatri.

Fencing

The only fencing event contested on Day 1 was men's team sabre, and we got a bronze medal! The Aininian team, consisting of Kelly Dennis, Jeremy Fernandez and Darren Hale, eliminated the North Daeconese team with an impressive 45-41 win and then followed the accomplishment in the quarterfinals by absolutely sweeping Team Masseau with a huge 45–28 differential, the largest seen so far. Our luck ran out in the semifinals when the Britannon team, Adrian Gallant, Gareth Black and Edin Cordero, edged us out by one point (44-45) and stopped our advance there. They went on to be defeated by the Vyvlander team, who pulled off an unexpected gold. We then proceeded to the bronze medal match, sweeping the Caucasian athletes 45-26, one-upping our previous achievement.

Football

Today was an off-day for both our men's and women's teams, and we remained at the dead bottom of our group in the men's event and at a steady second in the women's. There's really nothing else to say here, other than the men's team's performance so far is rather disappointing, especially coming out so strong of the Coupe d'Esquarium.

Gymnastics

We pretty much dominated the preliminary men's individual gymnastics. The talented Aininian athlete Jeff Caldwell swept the competition with a flawless performance that merited a score of 15.625 and propelled Ainin to first place, closely tailed by Crolacian Antonio Buros. In 12th place came second Aininian gymnast Herbert Hayes, who with a score of 14.925 guaranteed Ainin two athletes advancing into the next round. Unfortunately, coming in at 75th place and 47th place, respectively, Lamar Gonzalez and Lester Wolfe failed to qualify, but we will still have a strong delegation moving onwards to the medal rounds.

Handball

Does anyone even watch handball? I sure as hell didn't. But either way, we defeated Britanno 27-21 and are now second in our group.

Shooting

Today were contested the Men's 10m Air Pistol and Women's 10m Air Rifle events. Our star athlete Michael Hunt placed second in both the preliminary qualification round and the medal round, bringing us a silver medal! We expected a gold, but there's still numerous other events for our star athlete to prove himself in. And, hey, silver isn't bad, after all.

Swimming

We didn't do all that great in swimming this time around. However, we did do great in the Men's 400m Freestyle, with our star swimmer Désiré Monte placing first in the preliminary round with a time of 3:43.64, an entire 30 milliseconds faster than the second place swimmer. He held steadily and gave a stellar performance in the medal round, coming once again first with a time of 3:45.43, three seconds before the second-place Bormeatrian swimmer. This brings us our first gold medal of the summer, and here's to plenty more!

To end the article on a high note, the misogynist twats that climbed Ainin Airways Stadium during the Opening Ceremony have pled guilty to reckless endangerment and trespassing in the Court of the Republic for Linack, and are expected to be sentenced tomorrow. Serves them right.

And, as always, go Team Ainin!

TNV TIMES
Heartbreak for Roberts

As the dust settles on day one of the games our nation can be very please with the results, our only medal hopefuls the men's archery team came away with the Silver medal whilst a surprise Bronze was won by Philomena Clark in a shot off with Jill White. This was quite a shock as nobody expected anything out of the women's 10m Air Rifle event yet in the end one could say it was an opportunity missed. Both Clark and White shot very well in the Final to get within striking distance of a medal. What might have happened if they had had some confidence in the first round perhaps they may have got another medal between them. In the end our two shooters had top have a shootoff between them to decide who should take the Bronze. This was a bit of an anti climax to the day as it was known that TNV would score the Bronze it was just a case of which Woman would take it. They have both been quoted as wishing that the medal was shared as opposed to having a shootoff, the Women are practice partners and clearly Clark felt quite bad about what happened as she did not seem that happy on the podium.

As for the Men's Archery team this was in the end a case of golden opportunity missed, it was the final shot of the match for the TNV and only needed a 5 to win the Gold by putting it out of reach of Michillias but bottled it, Percy Roberts could only score a 2. The predominantly Nilistic crowd went silent at this and Roberts was inconsolable with his mistake with the final arrow. Still a silver is a good result and one which the team can be proud with their performance, Roberts is only young and at 17 will have plenty more chances at future games to win Gold. Look out for the team next year, they have a point to prove and Roberts will almost certainly be seeking redemption!

Day 2 @ Hartly: Battles, challenges and lots of sweatshed
Iglesiantis makes surprise leap to top of medal count, unexpected victory over Luziyca in men's football, heavy competition in gymnastics
Image
August 13, NMR 2369

HARTLY, AININ - Day 2 of the Summer Esquarian Games in Hartly passed with more medals won for many athletes and more fiercefulness in the race for gold. We are talking about women’s gymnastics, where the qualification round began that day and Namorese gymnasts and favorites are facing challenges from beyond and within. Also, we are talking about unexpected victories in lacrosse and rugby. But last but not least, Namorese attention towards the Esquarian Games has risen to a new high after news of a surprise Namorese victory over Luziyca in men’s football.

Besides the Namorese team, the Games also saw a leap in medals for the Iglesians, who won four medals in one day, sticking between Britanno (who’s still leading the medal count) and us. Argh, this sucks, but hopefully we’ll catch up.

Women’s Diving

Vang Huamei and Jeong Ching did not win anything in the 3m Synchronised Springboard, reaching 10th place, making the Namorese second to last place in this round. North Daecon’s Kayleigh Hutchinson and Hannah Ashton went on to steal the gold, as the Michillians and Iglesians pounced for silver and bronze, respectively.

over Luziyca unfold

Football

The most senior Namorese sports commentators did not know whether to facepalm or cheer once it was known that the all-crappy, abominable Namorese men’s football team defeated the formidable Luziycan team 1-0. News of the unexpected Namorese victory over Luziyca---although it won’t help the Namorese get to the top of their group much---was met with laughter and disbelief when it first appeared on PTH Sports. We even received some calls from some people telling us to cut it out and stop joking around, but we’re talking truth here---we beat the Luzzies. Many are most likely waiting for The Constitution to explain that with their fascist jingoism.

"Tuchilapa, Luzeyika (Тучилапа, Лузеджика; You mad, Luziyca)?"

Namorese spectators who know how bad we are in football finally believed we weren’t pulling anything when they saw the match for themselves. The Luziycans were definitely on a off day, unable to score lots of goals as many feared they would when facing a weak team like the Namorese. Then, in the last few minutes, offensive player Ang Wu tossed that ball around and snuck it past the Luzzies’ goalkeeper. When it all ended, everything went pandemonium.

One can recall the last time the Namorese and Luziycans faced each other off in the football stadium---that was back in the Unolia Coupe D’Esquarium (otherwise known in Luziycan as the what, "Chalkboard i Esquarium?") when the two teams ended up tying, with no clear winner or loser. The Namorese and Luziycan players refused to respect each other when their national anthems were played, and there was even a threat that whoever won would get (or keep, if the Luziycans had won) Nantai.

And now in Hartly, similar actions were taken, but in a more respectful way. The Namorese players did stand in silence when the Luziycan anthem was played, but afterwards, some of them began chanting “Luzeyika Koseng (Лузейика косенг),” which means “Take that, Luzzies!” at the Luziycans; others sang the Internationale. The chanting and singing of the Namorese underdogs definitely scared the Luzzies, and we believe it was a contributing factor to the Luzzies’ much-anticipated loss.

Back home, the Namorese victory led to many Namorese---most of them in their twenties---to flood the streets and celebrate, congratulating the team and encouraging them to fight on. In Namo, there were even threats to burn down the Luziycan embassy, but police made sure that didn’t happen. When Vyvland defeated Luziyca in the Unolia CdE, celebrators surrounded the Luziycan embassy as well, trying to scale its walls. For a people that has, in the past, come under Bethlehem’s harassment and oppression, any victory over Luziyca, in the words of one spectator, “even if it was in a chess match,” had to be celebrated with flair.

"I left work early just to see this," one person from Mojing said, "and my boss agreed to let me go, and he himself left early. In fact, he allowed everyone to go home to see the match and the store closed early. At first I thought this would be a tormenting experience because the Luzzies are so good, but when it was announced that the Luzzies lost, it's maybe the best night of my life."

We sincerely hope that The Constitution covers our reaction and sell themselves to The Constipation.

In women’s football, the ladies suffered a 0-5 to North Daecon. Nothing to see there.

Women’s Gymnastics

Who knew that a Vyvlander would manage to outperform all of Namor’s female gymnasts in the qualification round! Vyvland’s Rebeka Nefervrumeer led the qualification round with a total of 16.475 points. Following close behind is Kang Tzang from our country, with 16.050. Judges believe that Nefervrumeer’s performance was more “elegant” looking than that of Kang’s, but as a people who love to see our athletes excel in stuff like this, we wish to disagree….
Image
Teammates and rivals: Lu Jin (left) and
Kang Tzang (right) a few days before the
opening of the Hartly Games. Although in the
same team, this does not prevent the two from
trying to outmaneuver each other in national
and international competitions.

Moving on though, the qualification round was a surprising blow to the other Namorese athletes, especially Lu Jin, the youngest athlete to earn the title of Master of Sport (HT) and expected to win them all in the Hartly Games. Lu finished 4th in the qualification round, right at the heels of New Daecon’s Stephanie Harbinson. The others---Van Nen, Wu Zang and Jiao Huan---finished 9th, 10th and 26th respectively, saving themselves from elimination.

Lu Jin herself looked really startled when a fellow teammate and rival, Kang Tzang, had a higher score than her, revealing a swift and brief frown before proceeding to talk with her coaches.

In the Regional Championships last year, Lu Jin (Lenfa) had won gold in artistic gymnastics (uneven bars) and Kang Tzang got second. It was only one of the many times when Kang was placed second after Lenfa, earning Kang the nickname “Lojeh (Miss) Runner-up.” From her looks, it’s clear that Lenfa didn’t expect “Lojeh Runner-up” to triumph her in the qualification round.

Kang, in the meantime, looked proud when she faced the cameras, but even then there was a hint of surprise in her face, presumably because as well as she did, she 1) didn't expect to get a higher score than Lenfa and 2) she didn't know how the heck a Vyvlander worked her way up to first, but we'll leave the real reason to her.

“I did well,” said Kang, flashing a smile, “but like anyone in my team I’m shooting for number one. I really don’t want to be Lojeh Runner-up anymore.”

Was that why she looked a little surprised? Maybe.

Handball

In an intense match, the women’s handball team lost to Tarctica, 27-31. Namor is currently placed second to last place in Group A, only a few notches above Rutuba.

Field Hockey

Alright, lots of stuff going on in field hockey! Although the ladies didn’t play today, the men did, and tied 3-3 in its first match against Ainin. Namor and Ainin (both in Group A) are tied in fourth place; Chorea and East Nautarya are on the top. Although the Iglesians did not score a single goal, they still topped both the Namorese and Aininians, and are now tied with East Nautarya in second place.

The Namorese have a serious track record (in a good way) when it comes to field hockey, so do expect more wins to come in the next few days.

Lacrosse

The Michillians destroyed the men’s lacrosse players 9-4. For the millionth time, we find ourselves in the bottom of the group list in a sport that involves hitting stuff around.
Image
Crushing West Cedarbrook, Namorese style

But whoa, what a great performance the women’s lacrosse players put up! Although few Namorese (or us) paid attention to how well the lacrosse players of Namor will do, the women unexpectedly crushed West Cedarbrook 16-9. Again, the Namorese find themselves paralleled with the Aininians, who also crushed North Daecon 13-3. In Group B, Namor and Ainin are on the top of the world, but they’re not tied; because the Aininians crushed North Daecon in a fashion more “destructive” than the Namorese did, they edged out a bit and are now leading the group, with the Namorese following behind. But because the women’s lacrosse team was never that good, chances of it pulling off another feat like they did to the players of West Cedarbrook are pessimistically grim.

But it’s the Namorese we’re talking about here, why be pessimistic? Come on, be a patriot and cheer our lacrosse players on! NAMORA, NAMORA, NAMORA!

Shooting

None of the Namorese qualified for the 10m Air Pistol for women’s shooting. Nu Yang got 17th place, so she got the ax.

Rugby
Image
Kaisi Chanbosi of the Namorese rugby
team ducks to prevent a Nihilist
opponent from stealing her precious
"treasure."

The women's rugby team was defeated by the Nihilists 14-15.

Softball

Life isn’t fair, and that’s why the Namorese softball team lost to Vyvland 0-3. We’re on the bottom of the list again (damnit)!

Weightlifting

Ko Chung only got as far as 10th place in the 56kg for men’s weightlifting.

Tennis

Namorese players Bei Long and Wang Chiu played each other today. Bei Long edged out Wang with a 13-12 win in the singles; in the doubles, Bei and Wang defeated the Saint Jamesian team 19-15. Quite an impressive act there.

The women didn't do bad, either---Na Selin and Gong Haivang defeated Tarctica's Amelia Quinnaton and Olivia Kasukouea 17-14.

The Bottom Line

The question we want to ask is---why are our ladies taking everything? So far, it sounds like our men (with the exception of the Namorese footballers with their victory over Luziyca) are not taking as much bacon as the women are. And don’t forget--so far, most of our medalists are women. We don’t have anything against that at all, but we’re just pointing a fact out. You men better shape up or drop and give us twenty. No, a hundred.

Nonetheless we are optimistic, optimistic that the Namorese team will win more medals soon. The gold is waiting, so let us take it. If the Namorese footballers can perform miracles, so can anyone else. Let us wish all of our athletes good luck.

Other news
  • Qianrong "recognizes" Namor - Qianrong said it will announce Namor following the fall of the Peitoan authority regime, although the country's acting chancellor still held baseless allegations of Namorese assistance towards separatist militants and defended Qianrong's nuclear program.
  • Namor welcomes Qianrongese recognition - The Foreign Ministry said it welcomes Qianrong's recognition of Namor, calling it a "positive step in maintaining peace in the East Sea."
  • Man gets concussion after hit on head by coconut - A middle-aged man received a concussion after he reportedly got hit by a coconut in the head when walking down the street in Namo.
  • After 1-0 victory, Namorese FM jokingly requests Luziyca return Nantai - The Foreign Ministry spokesperson jokingly requested that Luziyca return all the occupied territories of Nantai to Namor as a consequence of the Namorese victory over Luziyca in men's football. "We are sure that Luziyca will prove itself to be a civilized state that does not turn back on its word, and it will remember the deal made during the CdE. They lost, so that means we get Nantai." Many journalists at the scene chuckled and laughed.

Hartly Day 3
Today was a sort-of miserable day at the Esquarium games. The day started with Vasta Jarvinen being by Netzer von Auschlogen. It started out as a close match, until a knockout punch was thrown and the game was decided from there pretty much. Caucasia's Mens football team was defeated by Orientalia (3-2), which put an end to Caucasia's Mens football winning spree. Today was a better day for the Caucasian women's football team, when they defeated Masseau 1-2. In women's gymnastics, Marina Minarova made it through the qualifications, while the rest of the Caucasian gymnasts were eliminated in the qualifications. In women's handball, the Caucasian team was defeated by the Iglesian team 25-27, in this very close match. Caucasia was defeated in Mens field hockey by Britanno 1-2. Caucasian Women's field hockey match with a tie 1-1 with the Iglesian team. In Mens lacrosse, the Caucasian Mens team was defeated by the St. James Islands 13-10. Caucasian women's lacrosse team was defeated by Nevanmaa 10-9. Caucasia got 4th and 10th place in the Women's 10m Air pistol, as well as 4th and 8th place for skeet shooting. Things got much better today in Women's rugby when the Caucasian team beat Britanno 0-6, a landslide victory. Things got even better in Women's Softball when Caucasia beat Bormeatri 6-0. But then things got lower when Caucasia got 19th place in the 56kg Mens weightlifting. Caucasia was doing well in Individual Sabre round 1, when Dmitry Sorgoshev defeated Derek Page, even though Vladimir Rodimoff was defeated by Louis Breton (FRC). Sadly, Dmitry Sorgoshev was defeated by Danial Zulan of JRU. In Skeet shooting, Yulia Slovachko got 5th place, and Nina Formarova got 8th place. In Mens singles, Slava Serdinov lost to Bajko Dworschak of Luziyca, however in the Mens doubles, Caucasia was able to beat Britanno.

[camera focuses at Bob Campbell, his face facing the camera and being at center of view]

Bob Campbell: Welcome, welcome, welcome, Tarctican men and women and children! We are now in Day 2 of the Summer Esquarian Games, and we'll drop off today's progresses by both our country and others! [camera gradually zooms out] I am Bob Campbell, your lovely sportscaster...

Jordan Harrington: [camera turns right] And I am Jordan Harrington, your other good ol' commentator! [whispers] And Campbell's best buddy. [Campbell chuckles lightly]

Campbell: Now that we have this introductory yiddy yadda (whatnot), let us get to the tally of this day. You wouldn't want too much spoilers now. [scene switches to tally board] Now what we are seeing is that Britanno is at the top, having two golds and two silvers from the Games. Coming after Britanno are Iglesiantis - two gold, one silver, one bronze - and Namor - two gold and one bronze. By the way, something weird is on this tally, Jordan... can you guess what it is?

Harrington: It's obvious now, Campbell! [Harrington giggles and smiles] And it's official: the Tarcticans abroad have gotten hold of not one, but two, medals! A shiny gold and bronze is now for us to cherish. It's certainly a great day for us.

Campbell: But not for the Revivalists. [one-second interval] Or Socialists. [1s interval] Or Aquilonians. [1s interval] Now let the news of Day 2 begin.

[footage of Women's Team Archery is played]

Campbell: You should know by now that our archers failed to qualify for team events, although they did compete in individual ones.

Harrington: New Zepuha's team brought down the gold, and trailing behind is The Nihilistic View, The Silver-Holding Nihilistic View. Bronze is owned by Michillies, and that is mostly all for the Women's Team Archery.

Campbell: The results ain't something good for us... but there is more to come. We shouldn't stagnate here. Allow Men's Boxing to lead the way, dividing into Lightweight Round 1 and Welterweight Round 1.

[footage of Men's Lightweight Boxing is played]

Harrington: Our Lightweight boxer, Calum Peskor, is not scheduled to compete on Day 2, but we have already seen some competition. So what is up in this area, Camp?

Campbell: We have four winners of Lightweight. Aaron Leigh of Michillies knocked Vyvland's Abraham Kasprov out, Asif Makram of East Nautarya lost to Daniel Delrue of Francilie, Atlantica's Hasal Adall superseded Concordia's Harry Joneson, and Danny LaGuardia of Masseau didn't achieve victory over Doug L. Barrington of Gibberan.

Harrington: [turns to Campbell] So to remind the Tarcticans, Camp, who would Calum Peskor face in the next round?

Campbell: Peskor is slated to engage with Kaa- Kaah- Kaarh- Kaaarl Geiger of New Zepuha. Our opponent's first name has three A, if you wonder. Now let's get into Welterweight. Netzer von Auschlogen of New Zepuha won over the Caucasian Vasta Jarvinen, The Nihilistic View's Ernes Baker knocked down Ike Jerringla of Unolia, and Luziyca's Kazimierz Shostakovich failed to bring down North Daecon's Joel Kotai.

Harrington: It's Captain-Obviously active here, and in the next round we will see our Welterweight boxer Jason Macmaster take on Thomas Bee of Bormeatri.

Campbell You probably remembered that Bormeatri prevented us from reaching for a bronze medal a few days ago, so hopefully Macmaster can do some or more retaliation. Now let's bring up some Welterweight yiddy yadda.

[footage of Men's Welterweight Boxing is played]

Campbell: Now let's get into Women's Diving. [footage of the event is played] Sadly, our swimmers Cassandra Lefebvre and Amelia Miller came in last, having reached 283.57. Well, North Daecon won gold thanks to Kayleigh Hutchinson and Hannah Ashton, Christina Flynn and Inez Farron earned a silver for Michillies, and Iglesiantis caught bronze with the help of Karla Ana and Marya Neyse.

Harrington: What do you call a popsicle that comes from Iglesiantis? [3 second interval] A popsIgle-

Campbell: Yeah yeah yeah, we all know that lame joke about popsicles, and I'm pretty sure any Iglesians watching this won't be too happy about it. But it's sad that we didn't achieve victory here.

Harrington: [nods] We should've be able to kick some butts [gesticulates with hand to imitate kicking motion while making sounds]. Now for some Men's Fencing. [footage of Individual Sabre broadcasts] No Tarcticans made it beyond Round 1, and of course it was very well a premature ending.

Campbell: Louis Harper lost to Cale Hercules of The Nihilistic View 7–15 as Craig Thomas was brought down by Michillies's Dean Norwood 11-15. Ouch [word is accentuated]! The Nihilistic View's Steven Dinner fenced the gold, the racist-as-usual Nevans snatched silver thanks to Tommi Lehtimäki, and the Vyvlander Simon Apel took bronze. The medalists can pat themselves on the back. But not the Nevans. Now bring up more Men's Football!

[footage of event is shown]

Harrington: Now Tarctica slumps to the bottom of Group D, and we are lower than the Namorese by both points and average. The good news here, Camp...

Campbell: [says in bright, happy tone] We scored one point. Yes, that's stupid, but we finally got up from the zero doldrums and we tied with Unolia. That's better than losing to an opponent or something, as we can suppose. Orientalia is at the top of Group D, as Iglesiantis, Gibberan, and East Nautarya are at their groups' tops. And what about more Women's Football, you say? [footage of event is released] Tarctican women here did better than the men as usual, winning over Atlantica 2-1. We are now at the top of Group C, after the same opponent took the top last Day.

Harrington: Some sweet retaliation in sports is suuuuurely appreciated. In other news, Ainin, Caucasia, and Vvyland topped their Women's Football groups. [turns to audience and Campbell] You want to hear a joke about Vyvland?

Campbell: Now you're going to tick off TWO nations. Let's go on to Women's Gymnastics. Qualifying gymnastics. [footage of event is depicted] There's not much to see here other than the fact Jacquie Kingston was the only Tarctican to survive the elimination oblivion, reaching 15th place.

Harrington: All the others? They fell into that infinite oblivion we and others fear so much. The first position belongs to Vyvland's Rebeka Nefe- Neferf- Feferver- Rebeka Nefervrumeer, and the second position is for Namor's Kang Tzang. Third place is occupied by Stephanie Harbison of North Daecon. Other than that, Campbell was right that there ain't much to see here.

Campbell: Then here we go, onto Women's Handball! [footage of event is demonstrated] Y'see, Tarctica won against Namor 31-27, so that's something to be proud of. It's really decent, and for some reason [laughs] funny, to beat Namor.

Harrington: But we aren't the top of our group. Gibberan is... the land of Gibberish is. Veselinovi, The Nihilistic View, and New Zepuha took the first places of their Handball groups.

Campbell: Now, Harring, let's gibb (talk) about what happened in Men's Field Hockey. [footage of event is broadcast] You shouldn't see our team here because they aren't supposed to compete this Day. So don't wonder why it wasn't listed on the tally. That means we can't claim any victories, but we won't have any losses or draws too.

Harrington: Let us thank Captain Obvious for his lecture [Campbell glares at Harrington briefly], and let us show you the tops of the groups - Chorea, The Nihilistic View, Britanno, and Francilie. Hey, I found something weird with Britanno. Hypothetically our team could be able to overpower the Britannons, because they would go BritanNO against each other!

Campbell: Congratulations! You've now offended three nations! Well, two actually, but still... we should give you the female counterpart. [footage of Women's Field Hockey shows] Now the men were better than the women in this event or events. The Tarctican team lost to Unolia 1-2, but the good news is that we did better than the racist Nevans, who got a round 0 for goals for and a beautiful 1 for goals against.

Harrington: [gives double thumbs up] That is good I guess, but it'll be better if we won over Unolia. Ainin, West Cedarbrook, Michillies, and The Nihilistic View are at the front of the groups, if you want to know. Time for some lacrosse, eh? [footage of Men's Lacrosse and Women's Lacrosse are demonstrated] We can claim some victory in lacrosse. In the men's section, we narrowly defeated the popsIgles [Campbell glares at Harrington briefly] 12 to 11, while the women knocked the Saint Jamesians down 14 to 9 and the Tarcticans are now the first in Group A.

Campbell: What splendid progress! Well, Michillies, Saint James Islands, and Unolia can claim the top positions in Men's Lacrosse, while Ainin, The Nihilistic View, and Masseau takes the first place of their groups. But we should bring up Women's Shooting soon, and here it goes with the 10m Air Pistol. [footage of event is broadcast] Nobody got through the qualifications. Our Jeanna Laurence shot only to 21st place, but we aren't the worst of those in this event.

Image
Alexandria Cortsapie, now a gold medalist

Harrington: However, there is a good side to Skeet. [footage of event is shown, particularly focusing on a Tarctican] Our participant in this field, Alexandria Cortsapie, not only qualified for the finals and landed at first place, she went on to win a gold - our first medal - in the Esquarian Games! What a lovely, lovely, LOVELY win that Cortsapie had given for Tarctica!

Campbell: WHOO! Lupa Pèscaras of Michillies took the silver as the bronze was sent to the Aininian Mandy Baker. There was a shootoff in which Pèscaras emerged more victorious, by the way. Even with the good from Cortsapie, we don't see much good in rugby, unfortunately. Let's give it up to Men's Rugby first. [footage of event is shown] We were better than Ainin in skeet, but in Men's Rugby, the Aininians were considerably better, beating us 2 to 10. A big, big ouch we sustained there. Luziyca, Michillies, Britanno, and our sports foe Ainin are leading the groups.

Harrington: ...and as for Women's Rugby... [footage of event is depicted] ...the women did better than the men again, defeating Bormeatri 12 to 6. That should ease some of the hits that the Aininians had given to us. So here, we can see that Gibberan, Michillies, Vyvland, and the popsIgles [Campbell rubbed his face quickly] topped the groups in Women's Rugby.

Campbell: Initiating the plans to move on and stop calling the Iglesians "popsIgles," we will bring you some Women's Softball. Unfortunately, our network did not have access to footage, probably because the Revivalists bombed our horrible telecommunications and other whatnot infrastructure. In any cases, you'll just have to do without viewing what the people did. Unolia slammed us 6 to 2 and we sunk to 5th place in Group A. Vyvland and New Zepuha are the leaders of this field, and hopefully Harring won't give us a Zepuhan joke.

Harrington: [turns to Campbell] Yo, I wasn't planning to give a joke about New Zepuha! But let's talk about Weightlifting, starting with Men's Weightlifting.

[footage of Men's Weightlifting is broadcast]

Campbell: Our Rob Prentice did not land in any medals or any of the top three places, although he was well away from the elimination oblivion. It may be safe to say he's somewhere fairly above the middle, I guess - not too well, not too not-so-well. Interestingly, Juhana Väyrynen of racist Nevanmaa secured gold, Iglesiantis's Mayau Nyvaylen took silver, and bronze is awarded to Corey Watkins of Masseau. In the Women's Weightlifting... [footage of event is depicted] ...we won a bronze medal thanks to Julianne Cottsdenn, but Hilarie Obadges was at thirteenth place. Gold belonged to Rycharda Keylayen of Iglesiantis and Michillies's Jessica Whitmore had the silver.

Harrington: In the final events of Day 2 comes Tennis. We'll show you what the men and women did, dear audience. [footage of Men's and Women's Tennis are shown] In the Men's Singles Round, Tomas Robertson lost to Dell Duck - what, Dell Duck, what - of Masseau. Robertson scored 13 but Duck [Harrington laughs] had 16. But over in the Men's Doubles Round, Robertson teams up with Ray Saunters and defeated Vyvland's combination, consisting of Mafjas Maler and Niklas Klemensen. We got 13, and they got 9, so I guess that is awesome to hear.

Campbell: And in the Women's Doubles Round, our Amelia Quinnaton and Olivia Kasukouea did not overcome Na Selin and Gong Haivang of Namor. Tarctica had 14 while Namor had 17... what a way to conclude Day 2 and this commentary.

Harrington: So our conclusion? This day can be just a little bit better, but we are already grateful we earned a gold and a bronze, and the athletes are sure proud that they have a whole country behind their backs.

[air siren plays at background]

Campbell: Uh-oh, Harring, the air siren is going off...

Harrington: Ah, audience, looks like the stupid Revivalists are on their way to bomb Coldsberg! This is the Arctican News Network reporting on Day 2 of the Summer Esquarian Games, and we bid you all a goodbye as we prevent the Revivalists from bombing our butts! [Campbell, Harrington runs off quickly]

Adam Vurishnikov's Hippiest Blog

AUGUST 12, 2014
The Games are cool, innit?
Hai, guys. I guess y'all know that the Esquarian Games are going on, eh? I bin watching the LRT coverage of da Esquarian Games for da past few days, watching as many sports as I could, because I'm hip and copacetic, 'n I'm with it.

So, let's go through the sports, shall we, bros? Ya? Good. If not, too bad, please stop reading here, you mofo.

For women's team archery, our Luzzy niggahs in Group B were defeated by the niggers from Michilles, 204-210. Despite all their swaginess and cool, they lost because they ain't working hard. So let's follow dem Michilles. They lost to da Aininians, 212-216. Sucks to be those Michillian hipsters, amirite? Ya, they are. But they have a chance.

In gold, Ainin goes against dem New Zeppies. Zeppies win 217 over dem Ainin niggahs. In bronze, dumb Nihilists go against the copacetic Michillians, and Nihilists lose 208-210. That should teach 'em, suckas!

Thus, Zeppies get some gold bling, Ainin gets silver bling, and Michilles gets bronze bling.

In boxing, my fav sport, we cannot into lightweight. Dunno why. We're awesome and pretty good, man. In welterweight, Kazmierz Shostakovich lost 5-9 to Joel Kotai from, NDA? I dunno where the hell dat nigga country is at. Iglesiantis, maybe? Don't care.

In women's 3m synchronized springboard, our hoes never got in. They shouldn'ha been raped at dat brothel before they competed, dawg.

In men's fencing, my hero Evidio Mura and Rafael Jansson dug it out. We lost 10-15 to Nevan niggah Rafael Jansson. But we got 'nutha Luzzy on da field. Agape Vincenti rocks my socks, 'n he wins 15-5 to dat NDA niggah.

So I'll follow and cheer for that nigga. Rafael Jansson loses 12-15 to Iggy Karyn Tekytea. Boy, does Tekytea have some swag 'n bling. Agape Vincenti loses 5-15 to that nigga from the FRC, Gerard Guery. Fuck him. God gave us Amadeo Villella, and he win 15-5 against dat Sage asshole from Michilles. Tekytea defeats Nevan too!

Next round, Villella defeats Aininian Hale 15-9. Hale can go fuck himself. But he fucking competes against Tonyland from Unolia and loses 10-15! OH NO! Tekytea gets defeated by Steven Dinner from Nihil!

I can't be assed to finish it, so basically, Nihils win gold bling, Nevans get silver bling, Vyvland gets bronze bling.

For my second favorite sport after boxing, is football. I watched the game, us Luzzies tried to score, but the Namormen played keepaway. We tied 0-0 at end of first half, then we were close to a draw when da Namormen scored a goal few seconds before end of game! Dey win 1-0.

In regards to kitchen football, played by those who should be in da kitchen, it was boring. Didn't pay attention, because they should go cook for us lads! Ainin wins 1-0. No surprise there.

For kitchen gymnastics, for wimmin cannot be gymnasts, Baritza Yankovic qualifies at 8th at 15.475, Probka Khaimov at 14.925 and 24th place, tied wid Betty Gregory from Ainin, den hoes Ming Ling fro Nantai, man (41), Lidka Sendula 'n Vesna Guzina at 63 place, ma favorite numbah, den major bitch Sudanka Hrdlicka. Gud riddance tu bad ruddish.

Nuther sport played by wimmin? Fine. Us Luzzies ain't in, so thank god that our bitches ain't playing! They can go back to da kitchen like dey should!

Finally, back to stuff dat matters to us man! In man's field hockey, we lose 4-1 against Nihil douchebags. We scored a goal early on, then in next half, they all scored four goals. I think. I may be high again.

Kitchen again? WHY. Fine. Ainin won 2-1. That's all you getting, biatch! *headdesks*

Men's lacrosse. We ain't in. Wimmin's lacrosse. Ditto. Now, go make me a sandwich. NOW.

Kitchen shooting. They can't hold a gun straight. Our finest ho was Danitza Bukowsky, 11th. Nicholya Svelha was 15th, and that's all. For skeet, that skunk Milanka Slavik got 15th, and Vlasta Orelik got 17th.

Ah, rugby... We did very well, scoring 11-4 over East Notasia. Our lads can definitely defeat dem towelheads, and because they wear dem towels, they always lose! THAT'S WHY WE WIN! Kitchen ruby, we lose 16-18 to Francilles. Good riddance, biatches!

Softball? 3-2 to Masseau. WE'RE ON A ROLL. NOW, GIMME DAT SANDWICH. NOW!

Now, 56 kg for men. Dragomir Pelikan got 6th and Vyacheslav Kolev got 18th place. YEAH. We ain't winning, but who gives a shit?

53 kg for pussies. Dunya got 9th, Libera got 12th.

For men's tennis, Bajko Dworschak got 6-2 in first round over Slava Serdinov, den 6-0 over him. We won 12-2 to dem Cockasians! BEAT DAT. Velko Slovatzky defeated Gibberish Bane Meddleson 6-4 in first half and 6-1 in second, so 12-5. Bane is a bane to all of us, and he should stop speaking Gibberish.

For doubles, Iggies Nay and Kyn got 3 while Stanij and Msciwoj got 6, or 6-3. Next half, Reznikoff/Yellin got 6-3. WE WIN there.

To wrap it up, no kitchen tennis for us! THAT'S GREAT.

(The following commercial was aired many times on Namorese Radio-Television (PTH) during prime time coverage of the Esquarian Games)
Refrigerium commercial: What Makes Refrigerium So Great?
A gymnast is stretching in preparation for the coming competition in the Esquarian Games. She longs for some refreshment, not to mention a break. That's when someone pats her back. The gymnast turns her head around, meeting face-to-face with Nushen (the national personification of Namor), sword in one hand and holding a bottle of---

"Refrigerium?" asks Nushen, waving the bottle back in forth in front of the gymnast's eyes. "You'll need it."

"Oh, thank you, but not now," says the gymnast with a forced smile. Although she knows she needs refreshment really badly, she felt it polite to refuse something coming from someone that significant.

"Oh, really, you really don't need Refrigerium? Don't you know what makes Refrigerium so great?" asks Nushen.

The gymnast shakes her head.

"You see, Refrigerium is a soda made by the hard work of Namorese," says Nushen, "it is a reflection of what we can produce as a people through hard work, dedication and a correct mind and spirit. But it's not only us---Refrigerium is what brings Esquarium together, no matter if you're white, black, or anyone in between."

"Like us," laughs the gymnast.

"So, back to the question: You really think you don't need Refrigerium?" continues Nushen.

"Yes, yes I do!" the gymnast takes the bottle and drinks everything in it in one gulp, before letting out a refreshing "ahhh."

"This is great, Nushen! Refrigerium is what brings Esquarium together!" exclaims the gymnast. "Refreshes me, too!"

Nushen frowns. "Uh...we were supposed to share that bottle?"

The gymnast's smile fades.

"Make Future Esquarian Games More Efficient Yet Enjoyable"
Memo to Esquarian Games Committees by Nathan Sen, President of the Esquarian Games Committee

IN LIGHT OF RECENT controversies regarding Hartly's preparation for the Summer of 2014, we are presented with a fear of logistics that we did not realize before: actual and real preparation for the Esquarian Games being placed on a nation with maybe eight months of preparation time, at most. This is also coupled with the sport selection process given, in particular with the Summer Games. The Office of the Esquarian Games Committee on an International Leval is taking review to these issues and will compile a more advanced assortment of option to remedy the situation, but I would like to focus mainly on the actual event aspect of this.

First off, it is the opinion of the Presidential Office that the amount of games should be cut from twenty-eight overall sports to fourteen individual sports and six team sports. This will mean we will cut eight sports from the program from this year to next year. It should be noted that these plans will not apply to the Winter Games, but we are also open to changing the sports taking place.

However, we must name sports that will be inherently protected from elimination. These, on the team side, includes football and water polo. On the individual side, athletics will be protected. This is because of the basic and historic nature of these events and it would be redundant and idiotic to not include them in future games.

We intend on debating these sports at the Second Session of the Esquarian Games Conference, and we will have a concise list for the 2015 Summer Games consisting of the requirements laid above. We will, of course, also hold applications and a host bid for the 2015 Winter Esquarian Games, should we choose to hold them. Since we did not vote on sports for the 2015 Winter Games, the same sports held in Brookopolis 2014 will be held for the 2015 Games.

Thank you for your time, and keep the Spirit of the Games alive.

Nathan Sen,

Chairman of the Unolian Games Committee

President of the Esquarian Games Committee.

<Koyro> (Democratic Koyro) NSG senate is a glaring example of why no one in NSG should ever have a position of authority
The Emerald Dawn wrote:"Considering Officer Krupke was patently idiotic to charge these young men in the first place, we're dropping the charges in the interest of not wasting any more of the Judiciary's time with farcical charges brought by officers who require more training on basic legal principles."

DEVELOPING STORY | Esquarian Games Catchup: Day 2 at Hartly 2014 - Everyone Goes Nuts
The 3m Synchronised Springboard Team wins gold in Hartly, crowds around the country ecstatic
Douglas Salanda, NDBC Sports Correspondent | Written on 12 August 2014, 10:41pm NDST | Updated on 13 August 2014, 12:57am NDST

A deserved visit: A viewing area, such as this one in Alyston, Dalshire
WATERWITT, SAC-WT/HARTLY, LINACK, AININ - At the end of Day 2, in sports bars, living rooms and outdoor viewing areas, many people are celebrating our gold medal win that gripped the country the moment the national anthem was raised in Hartly. Many surprises were in store for most of the countries attending Day 2, and many disappointments were in stock as-well. Britanno are still on top, but Iglesiants have been pushed up to second place in the medal race, sticking themselves between Namor and Britanno. This is Day 2's summary:

Diving
Most of the North Daeconese crowd at Molfton Island were expecting a Top 10 placing at the 3m Synchronised Springboard event. But most really didn't expect that Kayleigh Hutchinson, a 16 year-old sophomore at Alyston Dalshire College, and Hannah Ashton, a 20 year-old college athlete at the University of Waterwitt, that they will get a Top 3 placing, let alone a medal. But the pair from Alyston, Dalshire were picked for Team North Daecon for the Esquarian Games on July 28th, 2014 based on excellent performance at the 2014 Dalshire Diving Competition, which they scored 1st place at the 3m Synchronised Springboard event.

In a Interview with Robert Stiles of NDBC World News, Kayleigh said that she and diving partner wanted to do "something that will surprise everyone, including her [Ashton] coaches at UNW". She quoted "I think.... that since we are facing against world-class athletes, from Namor, Iglesiantis, and Michillies, we ought to do a dive that is out of our comfort zone.". The dive was kept a secret until the day of the medal sport, and the only hint, was "you will have to guess". And we were not disappointed.

The dive was a Reverse 2 1/2 Somersaults, 2 twists in the Pike Position dive, a dive very complicated most university athletes woudn't get. Most sport analysts were actually very surprised at the selection of the dive, saying most athletes would not go for it in university.

The crowds went ecstatic when the score came up on the scoreboard: 314.00, 1st place and the gold medal. Huge crowds in Waterwitt, Port Holland, Dalshire, and Alsette went wild as a result. As a sign of patriotism and respect, most of the crowds went silent for the medal ceremony, but started celebrating after the national anthem was finished, with most fans waving. Kayleigh, after match was reportedly awfully shocked, as did her partner, after they realised they won the gold medal for Team ND.

"This is just plain madness" one sports fan from Alsette said, "everyone is celebrating on the street, cheering, hugging, and high-fives and handshakes, pretty much everything you can think of. Also, I didn't actually believe we would win a gold medal, actually..........."

With first place occupied by Team ND, Christina Flynn and Inez Farron of Michillies got the silver medal, while Karla Ana and Marya Neyse of Iglesiantis scored bronze. We may be not a superpower in sports, but

Women's Gymnastics
In the Qualifying round, 19 year-old Stephanie Harbison managed to place in the top 3, at 3rd place, with a score of 15.850, while her team-mates, Madeline Thomson, Alannah Clare and Deana Hawkins at 4th, 18th and 20th place managed to get past the elimination threshold, while Amber MacPherson and Kasey Haynes at 50th and 54th place were eliminated from the running. Kang Tzang of Namor and Rebeka Nefervrumeer of Vvyland, are at 2nd and 1st place, while Lu Jin, the Namorese Lenfa or Lotus, scored a respectable score of 15.800, just under the score of Stephanie.

Boxing
Although we didn't play in the Lightweight round, Joel Kotai, from the town of Albion, Caxhe, managed to beat Kazimierz Shostakovich of Luziyca, with a score of 9-5. Joel was quoted, "It was a tough match, he was strong, tough, but he didn't really think about what happens if you throw your weight around too much, since I managed to score at least 4 points from that." The other competitiors, Ernes Baker of The Nihilistic View and Netzer von Auschlogen of New Zepuha managed to survive the cut, while Vasta Jarvinen of Caucasia and Ike Jerringlan of Unolia were eliminated, along with Shostakovich.

Asoc. Football
In soccer (it's Daeconese English, by the way), The men's team managed to utterly crush Veselinovic with a score of 7-2, with Samuel Summers scoring a hattrick. The women's team scored 5 goals against a very weak Namor side, with Amy William's goal keeping duties earned the respect of many fans. After a draw and a loss, the men's team knew that they have to work harder.

Tennis
In Women's Doubles, the Jamieson sisters (Talia and Teagan) managed to win in straight sets against Ana Vrynes and Naysawa Kuyen of Iglesiantis, winning 6-2 and 6-1 in 2 sets. In the men's events Bryan Leazer lost to Paul Seymour of Britanno, while Milton Wommack won in 3 sets against Darret Jarund of New Zepuha. Men's doubles ended in failure as Dean Hayward and Francisco Pugh lost to Howard Jackson and Arthur Harrison of The Nihilistic View, losing in 2 straight sets.

Shooting
In the 10m Air Pistol, Scarlett Ewen and Rose Zox were eliminated from the running at 14th and 23rd place. Gabriella Fahey and Milla Birtles were also eliminated in the skeet. Alexandria Cortsapie of Tarctica won the gold in skeet, while Blyra Nyvaye of Iglesiantis won the gold in the 10m Air Pistol.

Fencing
Both athletes competing in men's fencing got eliminated in the first round. Marcus Snyder lost to Damian Fowler of Masseau, while Agape Vincenti, a Lombardian from Luziyca proved too much for Cory Secord in this regard.

Other Sports
In Field Hockey, the women's team lost of Chorea 1-2. In Lacrosse, we lost to Unolia in the men's division, and lost to Ainin the women's division.

Summary of Day 2
Since our first gold medal was scored here today, we can safely proclaim that we have all 3 medals in our possession, and our country can celebrate in peace. Stanley Manchester didn't even think his prediction would have come true but now, it has. We wish Team ND the best on Day 3.

As we know, Ainin is going through a move right now so he has handed scorination off to me in the interim. As soon as he feels fit, scorination will return to him.

One order of business: In baseball, there are two The Nihilistic Views and no Unolias. I will take the one in Group D, since it is lower in the ranks as compared to the one in Group C.

Anyways, will post rest of the results here before the night is up.

Baseball is Best Sport. Life long StL Fan.

And in Sports, West Cedarbrook 1 coverage of The Esquarian Games in Hartly continue this week, breaking into scheduled programming when individual West Cedarbrook competitors are on deck in medal rounds.
So far, our individual events haven't come up. WC1 scheduled coverage of Redhawk Baseball as Group A play continues as planned. And, a change in the WC1 coverage of the the games, as commentator
Sara Ben-Yakov is replaced in Hartly by Wanda Lannion, Sports Director for our station in Ironton, E5N2. Wanda has run sports coverage at E5N2 for two years, before that covering Ironton Snow Leopard
Football for the station. She covered Air Force Academy Wildcat basketball during her years at the school, and came to our Ironton station after her Air Force service.

Coming after the break: Coverage of President Feld's press conference in Osserheim, Gillenor as part of the first leg of his Central Ocean Tour, and an extraordiary kindergartener in ATR.

Julien, Carine and their girl Juline are Francainians, they were born and raised in Ainin but their ancestors were Francese immigrants. For the Esquarian Games, Julien decided to write a letter to SRF Central Esquarium. He says what he is doing and what he saw. It was made by Julien Croquerot, it was made by you.

Ambre Torres, with his gold medal, the first ever for Francilie

TALONEE / AININ - The water is hot. The competitors are ready. This is the start : now, there's the power.
Ambre Torres won the first ever medal for Francilie, but also the first ever gold medal for our nations : but don't be fooled, as we totally suck in Football.
In Handball, the Cyans are quite good too...

...#TousEnCyanBle...

that's the most trending topic on Contakt, our national social network. Tous ensemble, tous en cyan. This motto will be a legend. The legend of our first Esquarian Games ever.

I am Julien Croquerot, and i am 37. I live in Lac-Résolu, in Ainin. I am Francese, but i was born and raised here, in Ainin. I decided to go to the Esquarian Games, cause Francilie participate this year. My wife Carine and my 3 years old girl Juline loves sports, my wife is even a private tennis teacher !

We arrived at Talonnée 1 week before the Esquarian Games. This was already a giant celebration...fireworks, concerts...we can't sleep because of that ! Even in the suburbs there's agitation ! I think that it was unbearable for this beautiful city of Talonnée. To sleep, we had to go back to Marlane !

Then the Parade of Nations. Beautiful.

These games are really good for me ! Hope you understand !

Julien Croquerot

Esquarium's favourite French-speaking federal republic gone far-right once

I'm neither a rightist, a centrist nor a leftist; I think all of them have good and bad ideas.
