Zack White (EST) 3 5
Elia Xal (CEN) 6 7

Zack White fell to Elia Xal in straight sets to lose his first match of the qualifiers. This is a painful defeat for White who had until today ran through the competition with relative ease. The talent level of his opponent was far greater than any of his previous matches, which is one of the reasons why White wasn't able to perform as well as he is used to. Another reason could be his over confidence after winning his opening two matches. It wasn't as though White played badly and made a lot of mistakes. He still performed fairly well in the match, but Xal was just a little bit better, especially when it mattered the most. Whenever White made a great shot, Xal always seemed to find a way to keep it in play. Of course that is what is expected when playing the top seed of the qualifiers. Even with this loss White is in prime position to advance. A win in his final match against Master Larry should, if our math is correct, be enough to push White through to the main draw. Larry is a good player but going by talent alone, White has the edge. It will still be a tough match for him, especially coming off a loss, but as long as he remains focused White should continue to be successful.

John Wilmer (EST) 1 6 9
Piper Antoine (SLL) 6 3 7

John Wilmer shocked Piper Antoine in three sets, including a 16 game final set, to move atop the group standings. Antoine was a heavy favorite to win this group and move on due to her experience level but instead she finds herself at the bottom with no wins and two losses. It has been a tournament to forget for her. Meanwhile Wilmer is having the complete opposite experience. He has exceeded all expectations and finds himself in great position to move forward to the main draw, that is if he can win his final match. The match between the two of them was a very interesting one. Antoine won the first set with ease as most expected. But in the second set Wilmer found a second wave and battled back to force a decisive third set. Both players gave it all they had trying to win the final set but neither gave any leeway. Finally when it was tied 7-7, Wilmer was able to get the break which allowed him to serve for the match. Once he had the lead he closed it out without too much trouble. This surprising win is brining a lot of attention to the young Estopian who is very quiet and not used to a large media presence. With his reputation growing he needs to get used to the spotlight. Going forward Wilmer has a great chance of moving on to the main draw. He is currently positioned in first with only one match to go. A win against James Shanson should be enough to seal his advancement but it is tough to tell for sure. Group 2 is a very competitive group with everyone having at least one loss. This leaves many scenarios where tiebreakers may have to be taken into account to determine who advances.

Taylor Hetner (EST) 6 6
Deanne Smith (ETM) 1 1

Taylor Hetner dominated group leader Deanne Smith to win his second in as many matches. The Electrum star found herself atop the group table after defeated both her first opponents in straight sets. Hetner, who had only played one match previously, was well rested and was riding a huge momentum wave. The match took hardly any time at all as Hetner came out very strong and kept up the high intensity for the length of the match. He is playing with a chip on his shoulder after many at home discounted his chances at making any noise in Ceni. For all the talk about Zack and Sam White and Jack Lewis, Hetner is the last Estopian to remain undefeated. He has taken this tournament by storm so far and it will be interesting to see if he can keep it up. He is a very consistent player, and has always been one, but in the past he seemed to lack true competitiveness. Hetner is used to finishing runner up and really has never had much taste for championships except for his amateur title that he won just before the start of the Cenial Masters. That title has really appeared to affect Hetner is a positive way. He play has improved vastly as he appears to be playing with much more passion than he used to. It's as though now that he has tasted victory, he won't be satisfied with anything else.

Jack Lewis (EST) 6 6 4
Malcolm Press (ETM) 3 7 6

Jack Lewis continues his inconsistent play, losing to Malcolm Press in three sets. While loss really wasn't took much of a surprise, after all Press is a seeded player, it is still a disappointment to see Lewis come so close but fall just short. Lewis played really well in the first set and even the second set until the tiebreaker. After losing the second set tiebreaker, Lewis seemed deflated in the third set and wasn't able to play as well as he was earlier. This defeat leaves Lewis on the outside looking in for a chance of moving on. The only way he has a chance is for no one to have more than two wins and even then he would have to get lucky with the tiebreakers. Even though Lewis most likely won't be moving on, he has gained some valuable experience from his first professional tournament. He is still one of Estope's hottest prospects but making it in the pros isn't an easy process. It takes a lot of entries before one can break through. The lessons learned here will benefit Lewis in the next tournament and they will keep building upon one another until he can finally make it. With the talent Lewis has, it really shouldn't take long for him to make the transition and be successful at this level of play.

Ikechukwu Ihejirika (COB) 6 3 2
Louis Hurst (EST) 1 6 6

Louis Hurst battled back after falling flat int eh first set to breeze through the final two sets and defeat Ikechukwu Ihejirika. It really is surprising that Hurst has done so well considering the fact that he barely even qualified to make it here to the qualifiers. Of all the players Estope brought, it is a general consensus that Hurst has the least talent and the least potential. Yet somehow he is atop his group table with only one match to go. And with a win he will be able to advance to the main draw. Despite all of this, Hurst still is not garnering the attention that one would think would go along with this. Instead, Hetner and Wilmer are being billed as unlikely heroes when in fact their performances have not really been all that impressive. Everyone knew that they had talent whereas very few even had heard of Hurst, let alone if he was descent at tennis. The only way for him to make a statement is to win his upcoming match and advance to the main draw. If not then the lack of attention to him would be easily justified.

Sam White (EST) 6 6
Dioro Hansil (CEN) 2 3

Finally Sam White was able to get a win here in the Cenial Masters. This victory, a quick two setter against Dioro Hansil, was a relief for the disheartened Estope star who came into the tournament with high hopes but has nothing to show for it. Today on the court he looked like a completely different player than he did in the first two matches. He appears to have finally settled in and is more comfortable than he was in his previous matches. White didn't try to force shots or do too much with the ball, but instead played a much more controlled game. It was unusual to see such a talented player struggle as White did in the previous matches but it is a little understandable since it was the start of his pro career. With one match to go White is currently in second place but that shouldn't hold up. It would take a miracle for White to advance but that shouldn't stop him from going out on a good not with a win. The experience he gained here will be helpful going forward for the young player.

Aaron Murphy (EST) 0 3
Darcey Baslet (BRI) 6 6

The doubles player Aaron Murphy showed why he doesn't usually play singles in his embarrassing defeat to Darcey Baslet. He played horrible and just wasn't able to cover the whole court and also missed a lot of shots wide. After somehow winning his opening match, reality finally set in for Murphy in this match. He is just not cut out for singles tennis.

The second set was an ease for Darmawan. A 3 straight wins for Darmawan begins the set. Susilo break it in the forth game but Darmawan back in the fifth game. Susilo takes another 2 games to shortened the gap but Darmawan rise back and win the next 2 games to win the set and the match.

Master Larry (BRI) 2 5
Zack White (EST) 6 7

All Zack White needed today was a win against Master Larry to clinch his spot in the main draw. With that in mind, White came out strong in the opening set and was able to take the first set by storm. Larry recovered and made a much better effort in the second set but in the end White was able to claim that one as well. White has played exceptionally well thus far in the Cenial Masters, aside from his one hiccup against Elia Xal which was understandable considering the difference in experience between the two players. White is the first Estopian qualifier to clinch his advancement. The young star has a bye before his first single elimination match in the main draw. Xal will be playing and with a win will take the top spot while White would advance as runner-up. The young star though could care less about which seed he gets as he is just ecstatic to make it this far. Despite being only 16, White has a lot of raw talent and training. Being the younger brother of Jared White, he also has a lot of second hand experience of professional tennis. This is a real exciting opportunity for White and, while he probably won't be able to get far, he does have the talent to win a match or two. Climbing the rankings is a long process and it isn't done in just one tournament. It is more important for White to just gain some valuable experience and ATP points for the future. Zack White has positioned himself as the flag bearer of the future generation of Estope tennis. As of right now he is the guy to become Estope's next tennis superstar. While Brett Roley isn't going anywhere anytime soon, he has not been able to take the next step in his career. Perhaps White will be able to go where Roley wasn't able to or at least put some more pressure on Roley to perform better.

James Shanson (PPL) 7 2 2
John Wilmer (EST) 6 6 6

After a shaky first set, John Wilmer was able to gather his composure and win the match in three sets against James Shanson. The match started out very tight as Shanson was really putting pressure on Wilmer to make plays, which he didn't do a lot of the time. However, as the match progressed Shanson lost some of his intensity and Wilmer was able to respond with two pretty solid sets. With Wilmer having played all his matches, and the rest of his group mates having one match left, his fate is out of his control. Wilmer currently is positioned at the top of Group 2 but Aulia Sadaq and Lewis Diver each also only have one loss as well. If they both win in straight sets, all three players would be tied in the number of points and the set differential. That would lead to some other way of deciding which two would go on. Wilmer can remain confident and hopeful about his chances since if either player lose the match, or even a set, then Wilmer will be able to move on. This has been a strong showing for Wilmer thus far and he hopes to carry this on to the main draw. He is the type of player that can be easily overlooked but really shouldn't. Wilmer is very talented and has a great ability to overcome adversity. Time after time he is able to turn a match around and respond in times when many players would just give up. Wilmer is a fighter and will continue to fight on in the main draw, maybe surprising an opponent of two. That is of course if he does end up in fact moving on, which is not guaranteed at this point.

Matt Grady (SLL) 2 4
Taylor Hetner (EST) 6 6

Taylor Hetner has been on fire this entire qualifying round of the Cenial Masters. Not only has he not lost a match yet, he also is yet to drop a set. He has played the best of any Estopian so far and maybe even any other player in the entire tournament. Yet no one has been talking him up as much because he does not have nearly the star power as many of the other stars. Instead he quietly does his best and doesn't worry about anything else. This philosophy has worked very well for him so far. Like Wilmer, even though Hetner is currently the top of his group, his advancement is not assured. Unlike WIlmer though, Hetner will be in action tomorrow against George Willis. A win against Willis will be enough for Hetner to move on as the top seed from Group 5. Even with a loss Hetner is not eliminated. It could come down to a tiebreaker in which we are fairly confident Hetner would come out of. Hetner has been somewhat of a dark horse in this tournament. Many were aware of his talent but few expected him to perform so well. He has a ton of momentum that he has been carrying with him from the Estope Amateur Championships all the way until now. It will be interesting to see if this momentum will last him into the main draw or if the competition level will finally get to him.

Ibrahim Ikajovich (PPL) 6 4 4
Jack Lewis (EST) 1 6 6

Jack Lewis' qualifying campaign is finished with many questions still remaining. He has been very inconsistent in this tournament, winning two and losing two matches. The good news is that he is able to respond to each loss with a win and he has constantly continued to fight to stay alive, which he still technically is. A loss by Mario Angrisano would give Lewis a chance to move on while a win by Angrisano would eliminate Lewis. Either way, there is a lot of lessons that Lewis can take from his experience here in Ceni. He is still a talented prospect and will be a contender eventually. It is just a long process that will take some time.

Jonathan Murray (EST) 7 3 6
Jacob Hunter (JAC) 5 6 4

Jonathan Murray won to keep his hopes of advancing alive. It was a battle throughout the match against Jacob Hunter since both were in the same boat and needed a win or else they would be eliminated. In the end Murray emerged victorious. Murray has one more match to go and needs a win in order to move on. Even with a win there is no guarantee as Marc Burns probably would need to lose as well in order for Murray to have a chance. It will be important to keep an eye on both of their matches to see how this group pans out.

Roger Boucharde (PPL) 5 7 7
Sam White (EST) 7 5 9

Sma White finally came out of his slump and is playing a bit better now. He has won his past two matches, although this past one against Roger Boucharde was a real struggle. Unfortunately for White he began playing better a little too late. Even though he sits atop the group standings, he has little chance of moving forward. The only way that he can really move on is if the group ends up a messy three or five way tie. Then it would come down to a tiebreaker in which it could be anyone who moved on. White can do nothing now except watch the matches tomorrow and hope for the best.

Sonya Gredello (ETM) 4 0
Aaron Murphy (EST) 6 6

Like pretty much every other Estope player in the qualifiers, Murphy finds himself in a position to advance. in order to do so his match tomorrow is a must win. He is actually playing pretty well right now, which is surprising considering his lack of experience in singles. Regardless, he finds himself in prime position to advance. We will all get to see if Murphy is really serious about his single's career. Tomorrow's match is extremely important for career in singles. A win may see him focus more effort in practicing while a loss would probably be the end of his singles career.

Lusavik Radio 96.9 AM
3:00 p.m.

What's that new tune that's got everyone out on the streets dancing? Surprise, surprise, it isn't any new song! It's actually a vicious disease called The Groove! This horrible pandemic makes its victims dance and sing uncontrollably! It is highly infectious, so be careful out there. Scientists have not yet found a cure, although they suggest large doses of alcohol help to curb the effects.

We now interrupt this message for our scheduled 3:00 show, an interview with none other than tennis player Jonathan Iesous!

Jonathan, let me start off by asking, do you have any strong feelings on the way the tournament is going so far?
At first I was afraid. I was petrified.

I see. And has that changed over the course of the tournament?
Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side.

I'm... uh, sorry, what?
But then I spent so many nights thinking how you did me wrong. AND I GREW STRONG! AND I LEARNED HOW TO GET ALONG!

Wait a second. THOSE ARE SONG LYRICS!
AND SO YOU'RE BACK! FROM OUTER SPACE!

He has the Groove!!! Everyone out! Run for it before you catch it- catch- c-c-c- I can't - I can't move...
I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face!

I- I- I should have changed... that- that stupid lock.
I should have made you leave your key!

If I had known for just one second!
you'd be back to bother me!

*bzzt*

We at Lusavik Radio would like to apologize for the audience for having to hear that. Rest assured that a biohazard team is already en route to deal with what has just happened. In the meantime, enjoy your day!

"Every morning there's a halo hangin'", sang Josiah Benton-Waddick softly to himself as the plane from Free Swiss States to Super-Llamaland zipped through the sky. With only ten minutes to go in the flight before landing, Josiah's sedatives had worn out due to a miscalculation of dose, and he was in the groove.

"from the corner of my girlfriend's four post bed", he warbled, coughing on the sleeping person next to him, who began to subconsciously snap her fingers in tune.

"I know it's not mine but I'll see if I can use it foorrrrr", the groove silently spread throughout the entire row.

"the weekend or a one-niight staaaand," crooned Josiah in an off-tune manner, along with the entire row, most of which was sleep-harmonizing. Flight attendants walking by to ask them to stop ended up singing along. The groove quickly spread throughout the entire airplane.

"Couldn't understaaaaand," Josiah, along with the entire airplane, sang.

The pilot, who was from Free Swiss States, knew about the groove, but he didn't know that he was the only healthy one left on the plane.

"Initiating landing," he crackled over the intercom, "flight attendants, please return to your seats."

"How to worrrrk it outtttt," came the response.

"What?"

"Once again as predicted left my broken heart open, and you ripped it outtttttt,"

"Oh crud. The groove," whimpered the pilot. He quickly grabbed duct tape and sealed his door shut. Just as he finished, a wave of bodies pushed against the door, which groaned in agony.

But duct tape is duct tape, and it held. The bodies kept pushing, though, and he heard the slightest rrrrrip. And then: "Ooooooohhhhh...every morrrrning!"

"Requesting backup!" he yelped into the radio. "The entire crew and passengers have the Groove!"

zzz...crackle...

Ooooohhhh...every morrrning!"

"Oh god oh god oh god"

The radio buzzed. "ETA until landing!"

"Three minutes!"

"Can you hold them off!"

"No!"

"You have to do it! We can't get on the plane!"

"Alright! How do I secure the door!"

"I don't know!"

The pilot stepped up and grabbed more duct tape.

"I don't know!" LeBlanc shouted into the radio. Ground control was hard.

"Set up the quarantine! We have an entire plane infected with the Groove besides the pilot!" he screamed to ground control. They began to set up the quarantine.

"Status, pilot!" he called. "We are initiating quarantine, please hold out!"

"The duct tape is breaking! ETA one minute until landing, but I won't hold!"

"Parachute out the plane then!"

"What!?!?!"

"Parachute! It's your only chance now!"

"What about the plane though?"

"Set it into auto-land and then jump out!"

"...alright!"

LeBlanc looked up and saw the airplane. The pilot leapt out with orange parachute and began to drift safely.

Meanwhile, in the cabin, oxygen masks manually popped out. The pilot had hit the wrong button, and the plane flew over ground control.

"...um."

The plane somehow made it out of the airport, whereupon it ran out of fuel and careened, slowly heading towards downtown New Llama.

"...Oh god. EMERGENCY! ROGUE PLANE DRIFTING TOWARDS DOWNTOWN! ACTIVATE CODE RED! INITIATE NOW!" LeBlanc screamed.

The plane suddenly stopped drifting and began falling. LeBlanc estimated it would fall about sixty miles off the center of downtown, possibly in a suburb.

"EVACUATE WESTERN SUBURBS! EVACUATE EVACUATE EVACUATE! WE HAVE A ROGUE PLANE - NO - A ROGUE PLANE INFECTED WITH THE BLOODY GROOVE IN FREE FALL OVER WESTERN SUBURBS!"

Postby Estope » Sun Aug 03, 2014 2:30 pm

Six out of the eight young Estope tennis players entered into qualifying have advanced on to the main round. Three Estopians finished as the top seed from their group. John Wilmer had a bye on the final day but still was able to emerge on top. Wilmer has played well in the qualifiers but is still a little off the radar of most. He is so quiet that he often gets over looked. But from what he lacks in star power, he has in the intangibles, especially when it comes to dealing with pressure. In the first round of the main draw WIlmer was matched up against Shi-woo Park. Taylor Hetner emerged as the group winner after an impressive two set victory over George Willis. Hetner was impressive all tournament thus far and has yet to lose a match, or even a set. He has the most potential of the three group winners to go the farthest in the main draw, especially if he continues to play with the same intensity he has played with in the qualifiers. His first match in the main draw will be against Tony Kravitz. Louis Hurst also clinched the top spot from his group with a straight set victory over Mia Cassington of Electrum. Of those three, Hurst was the most surprising since he barely even made it to the Cenial Masters to begin with and just doesn't have the talent level of any other Estope player. However, his hard work has paid off for him and he didn't just advance, but won his group. He will have to face off against Michael Yu in the opening round.

Three other Estopians reached as the runner up in their respective groups. Zack White clinched his spot yesterday and got the day off to rest before the first round of the main tournament. White is a talented young star with loads of potential. Of all the young stars from Estope who played in the qualifiers, White may be the most talented. He had a tough group with the top seeded qualifier Elia Xal in his group. He did drop his toughest match against Xal but other than that looked very impressive. He will have to face Millie Thatcher in the first round of the main draw. That will be a tough match for him but he does have the talent to win if he brings his very best game with him. Jack Lewis, Estope's other top rising star, also qualified second in his group. His road was a little rougher and it involved him losing two matches. In the end he was able to advance. He also has a lot of potential and has the personality to make him a true fan favorite. The friendly rivalry between White and Lewis will be fun to watch in a couple of years when they are both near the top. His road begins with James Lindsey. Similar to White, this will be a tough match, but not an impossible one for Lewis. He will have to play really well though in order to have a chance. Aaron Murphy was surprising successful in his transition from doubles to singles. He has qualified for the main draw in his very first attempt. He will have the toughest match of all Estopian players when he faces off against Mark Markos of Super Llamaland. He probably will not be successful but he has already exceeded all expectations. Only two Estopians did not qualify to move on, Sam White and Jonathan Murray. Both finished in third place, and actually Murray finished tied for first but lost out on tiebreakers. They will be looking to rebound from that in the upcoming future. Some other Estopians will be in action for the first time. Mary Moore and Marget Murphy are kicking off their campaign in the first round after automatically qualifying due to their rank. Brett Roley, Jared White, Bishop Lou Kelly, and Javier Bochenek will start tomorrow since they received a first round bye.

Round 1 of Cenial Masters

After the long qualification round we came to the main round with top 96 players compete in the main competition of Cenial Masters singles tournament. In the first round, there are 16 matches between bottom 16 and the qualifier players. 7 Rarungan players compete in this first round with only 3 that advance to the second round.

The first match were between Rarungan players, Nadia Hapsari and Lanang Prabawa. Both were veteran players of Rarungan although Prabawa is mostly known for double competition. The first set was very tight where both players didn't back down with their performance. Prabawa was behind at first but able to push up and force a 5-5 deuce. Hapsari makes a lot of unforced errors in the deuce time and this was taken by Prabawa as an advantage. He win the first set by 7-5. Hapsari performance continue to decline with numerous unforced errors and serve fault that give Prabawa advantage. Prabawa win easily in the second set by 6-2 and continue to the second round. However in the second round Prabawa will meet 8th seeded player, Lance Mance from Britonisea. It's going to be a hard match for Prabawa but fortunately he could pull through.

Olivia Karsono met qualifier player in the first round, Colonel Selav Tukerawan. It was an easy match for Karsono. At first set, Karsono easily beaten Tukerawan with ease by 6-0. Tukerawan try to rise in the second set but couldn't keep up his performance to Karsono. Karsono win again by 6-1. In the second round Olivia Karsono will meet Javier Bochenek from Estope, a 9th seeded player in Cenial Masters.

Another qualifier, Putra Darmawan met Ione Denzil from Gloriax. It was the first time Darmawan get into main round of an international tournament and meeting Denzil was a heavy match for him. Darmawan gets cornered from the start and lost 3 game easily. He try to rise up and able to takes 2 games but Denzil was to strong for him. Darmawan lost the first set by 6-3. In the second set, Darmawan's confidence was crumble. He makes a lot of unforced errors and most of his shoot was out of the field. He eventually lost 6-2 to Denzil.

Next is Reihan Ahmadi which played against Electrum's qualifier, Deanne Smith. Smith shock Ahmadi at first with his performance and difficult him with result of he losing the first set by 6-2. Ahmadi rise up in the second set and got into his best performance to outplayed Smith. He eventually take the second set. 6-2 for Ahmadi. Smith performance decline in the third set and this taken into advantage by Ahmadi. He grab the third set and continue to the second round. In the next round, Reihan Ahmadi will meet Jonathon Edwards.

In the other match, Aulia Sadaq met Greg Meares from Electrum. It was a tight match for both players. The first set was very tight with no one wants to back down with their performance. They ended in a tie-break that eventually won by Aulia Sadaq. On the second set, Meares give his best performance and try to toppled Sadaq. Sadaq able to keep her performance but she just couldn't make it right in the last that makes Meares takes the second set. The third set was again went very tight. Sadaq was not back down and gives her best performance to difficult Meares. They got into a tie-break but Meares successfully outplayed Sadaq and win the match.

The last performance from Rarungan was Mira Gandamayu which played against Derek Kyle from Anollasia. It was another tight match for both players. Gandamayu successfully difficult Kyle in the first set that makes them into tie-break. But Kyle able to takes the set. 7-6 for Kyle. In the second set, Gandamayu seems to be out of focus. She makes a lot of unforced errors and wide shoots that makes Kyle wins easily by 6-1. Gandamayu rise up in the third set and try to redeem her bad performance in the second set. They end up in a very tight tie-break but eventually Kyle could trick Gandamayu and win the match.

Together with Olivia Karsono, Lanang Prabawa and Reihan Ahmadi, 2 others Rarungan players will start their competition in the second round. Komang Ayu Yuliani which is currently the highest rank of Rarungan players in ATP will meet Lemon Tree Island player, Young-soo Lee. While Ketut Sudiarsa will played against Tamsin Strickland from Gloriax. Hard match will be faced by Olivia Karsono and Lanang Prabawa which will meet the 9th and 8th seeded of Cenial Masters. Hopefully they all could keep up their best performance and continue to the third round.

Mark Markos (SLL) 3 4
Aaron Murphy (EST) 6 6

Although primarily a doubles player, Aaron Murphy has made the transition to singles without too much trouble. He had some trouble early on in qualifiers, taking three long sets to defeat Keigo Redfoot in his opening match and then losing to Darcey Baslet in straight uncompetitive sets, but since then has completely turned it around. He won his final two qualifying matches in straight sets and looked like a completely different player than he did in the beginning. Murphy then carried that momentum with him into the main draw. Facing very tough opposition in Mark Markos, ranked 28th in the world, Murphy was unfazed. He came out strong and was able to get an early break on Markos in the first set. Murphy was able to hold serve the rest of the way to win the set. The second set went pretty much the same way with Murphy getting a single break and holding his serve to clinch the match. It was an impressive showing for Murphy, especially considering the talent level. Markos is a highly ranked player and this is a huge upset for Murphy. The upset is surprising considering where Murphy was at the beginning of the qualifiers. He has come a long way since then and hopes to keep it going in the second round against Tim D'Aub. This will be another tough round for Murphy. D'Aub is ranked 35th in the world and is a very strong player. If Murphy can keep up his play, then he might have a chance in this match. D'Aub is a heavy favorite though for a number of reasons, including his talent level and having much more rest than Murphy does. Regardless of the outcome, Murphy has exceeded expectations thus far and has put himself in a great position for his future career.

Millie Thatcher (ITN) 6 4 5
Zack White (EST) 2 6 7

Following a stellar qualifier, Zack White followed it up with a clutch victory against 53rd ranked Millie Thatcher. White had a shaky start and lost the first set 6-2. In that first set White looked uncomfortable on the court and couldn't seem to find his rhythm. However, he settled down and was able to force a third set. The final set was close throughout as both players gave it all they had. White just had a little more in the tank and was able to outlast Thatcher and take the match. It wasn't always pretty but in the end the result was desirable for a young player looking to advance his career. Despite any talent that White has, he will always be the underdog in these matches until he can prove himself. Up next for him is world number 17, Aylmer Blake of Glorax. This will be an incredibly difficult challenge for the young star. Realistically few give him any chance of moving on. White is just too young and immature as a player to compete at this level so early in his career. He has talent, that is for sure, but so do most others on this tour. His match today was a prime example of that. Thatcher pushed White nearly to his limit and he really had to dig down deep in order to come away victorious. In the qualifiers things came a little easier for him, but he did finish second in the group. He failed to deliver when it came to Xal, his toughest challenge. It is not impossible for him to win this next match, but it will not come easy by any stretch of the imagination.

Mary Moore (EST) 6 3 2
Samantha Deux-Brady (SLL) 3 6 6

Mary Moore lost her first round match, nothing new here. Moore is really not talented at all. It is amazing that she refuses to retire even though she hardly ever wins any matches. The only reason she still plays is because her ranking points allow her to automatically qualify.

Tony Kravitz (ITN) 2 7 1
Taylor Hetner (EST) 6 6 6

For Taylor Hetner tennis has not always come easy. He has always been a hard worker, but there never seemed to be any rewards for his efforts. Time and time again Hetner finished runner-up, or just short. That was until he finally was able to break through and win a tournament, the Estope Amateur Championship. Even after that he never really garnered much respect. It was considered a fluke performance. The big two of the up-and-comers were still Zack White and Jack Lewis. But after his performance in the qualifiers, Hetner made a strong push to change it to the big three. He went undefeated in qualifiers and failed to even drop a set. That momentum carried him right into his math against 64th ranked Tony Kravitz. Hetner didn't miss a beat, winning the first set with ease. He struggled a bit more in the second set and for the first time this tournament, lost a set, albeit in a tiebreaker. Hetner didn't lose and hope and instead was even more motivated to close out the match, which he did quickly to the tune of 6-1. Hetner has been playing the best of any Estopian thus far in the tournament. Up next for him will be his toughest challenge to date. Ardil Navsal is ranked number 5 and will be playing in his home country of Ceni. This is an incredibly tough draw for the young star who has already proved so much in this tournament. A win here is pretty much out of the question for Hetner. Navsal is just too good and too experienced to lose to an unranked qualifier. Hetner just needs to turn out a good showing and maybe force three sets for this to be considered a moral victory for Estope. Regardless, Hetner has proved here that he is a serious competitor and will be a force to be reckoned with in the near future. He has a lot more potential than people give him credit for.

Michael Yu (CHI) 3 2
Louis Hurst (EST) 6 6

The biggest underdog of all has lived to see another day. Hurst never should have even been allowed to represent Estope in the Cenial Masters. However, he made a deep run and was able to snag up the last spot Estope had. Upon reaching Ceni, he struggled at first and lost his opening match. After that he caught fire and won ever match since. He even managed to finish atop his group. In the main draw he has performed even better than he did in the qualifiers. Despite tougher competition, he ran through Michael Yu without any trouble. It took two quick sets for Hurst to secure his spot in the second round. There he will face #12 Kika Dovan of the host country of Ceni. This will be his first real test and probably be the one that ruins his Cinderella story once and for all. Hurst has played very well in this tournament to this point and surprising might have a shot at winning this match if he can play like he has the past four matches. Right now he has really hit his stride and is performing at an exceptional level. It will be very interesting to see if he can maintain this level of play or if he drops back to his former self at the first sign of trouble.

Shi-woo Park (LTI) 3 6 6
John Wilmer (EST) 6 4 4

This was one tough situation that Wilmer couldn't overcome. Time and time again in qualifiers Wilmer found himself down but was able to come back and win. When all hope was lost he never gave up and kept on fighting. His role seemed reversed in his match against Shi-woo Park. Wilmer won the first set 6-3 and so was at an advantage for the rest of the match. However Park turned up the heat on Wilmer and was able to win the last two sets and the match. This is disappointing for Wilmer who has come so far but yet wasn't able to produce when it mattered the most. The good news is that he made it through qualifiers and to the main draw and gained some valuable experience in the process. Wilmer is a tough kid and will no doubt be back on his feet and ready to go in no time.

James Lindsey (MLW) 7 4 3
Jack Lewis (EST) 5 6 6

Jack Lewis flirted with danger but was able to score the upset and move on to the second round. Lewis' qualifying campaign was very inconsistent and he took an unusual path. He lost his first match, won his second, lost his third, and then won his final match. Yet somehow his 2-2 record was good enough to move on. His inconsistency carried over to his first round match against James Lindsey. The firs set was really tight and both players were not playing their best. In the end Lindsey came out on top. The second and third sets were also tight but Lewis won both of them. It was not a very good match by either players but in the end Lewis just played less bad on this day. Lewis is better than this though and really has a lot of talent. Being on such a bigger stage than he is used too is probably causing him nerves that is affecting his game. Regardless, he is staying alive and continuing to fight. Next up for Lewis is a tough test in number 27, Dustin Willenger. This will be a much stiffer test for Lewis and if he doesn't straighten up his game he won't stand much of a chance. The inconsistency has to stop. He needs to calm down and refocus himself. Willenger is an incredibly difficult opponent to face and it will require his best game for him to stand a chance. This is a manageable game though because of Lewis' raw talent but it will require a little more focus out of him to really reach his full potential.

Margret Murphy (EST) 6 7
Malcolm Press (ETM) 3 5

Margret Murphy, the sister of Aaron Murphy, won her opening match today. Like her brother she is primarily a doubles player that plays singles on the side. She actually looked pretty good against Malcolm Press today and won in straight sets. Murphy is really opposed to the fact that women are forced to play alongside men in the ITA and believes that they should be split in order to make it more fair. She still competes however and when playing only three sets she typically performs pretty well. Her next opponent will be tenth seeded Amancio Raimundo Belo. This will likely be the last mach of the tournament for Murphy and, if she falls from the top 64, the last of her career. The Estope Tennis Association has banned women from competing for qualifying spots for co-ed tournaments. Instead they can only compete in the women's only leagues. At this time there is only a consistent national league with the occasional olympics or regional tournament.

16th ranked and 82 year old Bishop Lou Kelly finally begins play against McKayleigh Robertson in the second round of the Cenial Masters. The retired bishop will retire at the season's end but hopes to play as much tennis as he can between now and his retirement. He has had a surprisingly successful tennis career at such an old age. Bishop Kelly is very thankful just for the opportunity to be here but is a fierce competitor and is in it to win it. He has made a deep run in the Lzher-Jeckland Invitational but lately has been slowly falling in the rankings. That semifinals appearance is his only tangible tennis achievement. He really isn't all that talented nor physically fit. However he is able to counter that with his strong faith life and positive attitude. With his days numbered, Bishop Kelly is looking at making one last good run. His goal is another semifinals appearance before he retires.

Jared White's younger brothers have been in the headlines quite a bit lately and now it is his turn to take the stage. Zack White was done very well for himself thus far and is widely considered the future of Estope tennis. Sam White did not do as well and failed to qualify for the main draw but still has a bright future ahead of him. Jared White is Estope's original tennis star. He opened his career with a bang, finishing runner-up at the World Tennis Tournament. He followed that up with an impressive string of semifinals and finals appearances. He never could win an international tournament though. Lately he has been in the decline and many feel his should just retire and pave the way for Estope's next crop of tennis players. He is no longer considered the top star for Estope, Brett Roley claimed that title long ago, and he isn't even in the top three of Estopians as far as the rankings are concerned. White continuously tries to regain his foundation but just can't make any progress. He hopes to turn the tides beginning with his upcoming match against Ione Denzil. This should be an easy win for White but if he were to lose it would be absolutely devastating to his confidence. White is extremely upbeat about his chances here at the Cenial Masters so we will have to wait and see how it pans out.

Javier Bochenek, now ranked number 9, has an opportunity to become Estope's top seeded player. He is currently the second highest ranked Estopian and is only 3 spots behind the great Brett Roley. Bochenek is one of those players that has been overlooked his whole career. He never really got much attention and was just kind of there. Now he has turned around his career and has become relevant in the world of tennis. He performed well at the Electrum Slam but is really hoping to take another step forward at the Cenial Masters. It all starts tomorrow against Olivia Karsono. This is a tough first round match as shown by Karsono's 6-0, 6-1 defeat of Colonel Selav Tukerawan in the first round. She is no push over and Bochenek can not afford to overlook her. That being said he should be able to move on. Bochenek really wants to make the semifinals and has been training extremely hard to reach his goal. This could be his tournament but we must wait and see how he comes out playing before a judgement can be made about his chances.

Sixth ranked Brett Roley begins his campaign in the second round against Mitch Carlton. Roley has a lot of pressure on him heading into this tournament. It has been a while since Roley won anything and people back at home are beginning to get restless. The pressure heated up as the media began to tout all this new up and comers as the future of Estope tennis when Roley, who is only 22, is still at his prime. Tennis is a big deal in Estope and mediocracy is not acceptable. While Roley has been fairly successful and is consistently in the quarterfinals and usually even the semifinals, he has slipped up a lot more often lately. He needs a statement tournament to rejuvenate his career. Roley is no doubt still the best player in Estope. He will continue to be a factor at the professional level. He just needs to speed up the process a little bit. Roley has unbelievable talent but he doesn't always take full advantage of his talents. Hard work is important at this level and until he really decides to dedicate himself, he will only be able to do so much. He says he has been training to really prepare himself for the Cenail Masters but he will have to prove it on the court.

Electrum Tennis Magazine - Qualification Part 2 - Cenial Masters

Time to pick up the pieces...

In one of the worst performances ever seen by Electrumite players, the top players comprising of Maya Cassington, Samuel Gates, Mia Cassington and number one player, Sonya Gredello. Meanwhile, Deanne Smith and Malcolm Press who managed to qualify into the main draw were also eliminated in the first round, leaving the only automatic qualifier, Greg Meares.

Serious questions are being raised by the Electrum Lawn Tennis Association regarding the training regime of the players, with talks that some coaches are about to face the sack very soon. So far, there has been no break out performance by any Electrumite players in any of the major tournaments so far, with no player ever reaching the finals stage of a tournament ever since they joined international competition in the grand slam held in Ceni earlier this year. Meanwhile, the Estopian players are blitzing the field with all eight players in qualification managing to advance with ten players overall in the main draw -- the Electrumite players have been thrashed by a wide margin -- and it's time for them to learn what mistakes they have been doing instead of stagnating in the bottom of the draw.

Nonetheless, after their abysmal performance in the singles, Electrum can look forward to the doubles action, where they traditionally dominate. The main competition, which starts in two days time, will feature Sonya Gredello and Rosa Levinsky as the first seed. Should they beat the qualifier, they can potentially set up a match with the Cassington twins, who will have the pairing of Romao and Delgado of Costa De Ouro, two formidable players in the singles side of competition.

On the other side of the draw, Samuel Gates and Greg Meares will face off against up-and-coming Dalcheri and Rentos of Ceni. In what promises to be a close match, they have the opportunity to play against Gloriax's Hardy and Akerman who is expected to win this side of the draw. With the margins as close as ever, every set will count.

Doubles tennis offers very different things compared to singles tennis. Gredello and Levinsky, who rank very low in the singles circuit are in fact the top ranking team in the entire tournament. Meanwhile, the Xal twins who also rank lowly in the singles competition are actually ranked second in the doubles. Teamwork and excellent reflexes are key in doubles play, and if Sonya and Rosa just manage to keep their wits about them, they should be able to go deep into the competition.

Betty flopped from the court and into an awaiting glass of water.

She'd won ... somehow in straight sets. None too shabby a result for a water-dwelling creature. She wondered briefly why no tennis games were ever played in water before realising that the fact a tennis ball floated would make for neverending matches. If there was such a thing as underwater tennis though, she was sure to kick ass at it, given how well she was coping on dry land.

At some point soon though, she'd become a frog or a toad, maybe a newt, she wasn't sure. An amphibious body would make things a lot easier for her. Granted, nearly anything would make life easier for her. It's hardly simple to maintain a rally when the ball itself is bigger than you and you can't breathe.

These humans just don't appreciate how easy they have it ...

Half In Half Out

After the end of Round 64 Cenial Masters, there are only 3 players of Rarungan that left in the competition with Olivia Karsono and Lanang Prabawa was stopped by their opponents. Only Ketut Sudiarsa, Komang Ayu Yuliani and Reihan Ahmadi which continue to the third round. Yesterday also mark the beginning of double competition of Cenial Masters with qualification round in progress.

As been predicted before, Lanang Prabawa was going through a hard match against Lance Mance from Britonisea. Prabawa was easily defeated in the first set by Mance with 6-2. But Prabawa rise up in the second set and manage to difficult Mance. He eventually ended win the second set by 6-4. The third set as a very tight one with both players give their best performance to win the match. But unfortunately, Mance is still too strong for Prabawa. He have to admit his lost and give the third round spot to Mance.

Another lost coming from Olivia Karsono who met 9th seeded Javier Bochenek of Estope. Karsono shocked Bochenek in the first set when she manage to outplayed him and win the set by 6-4. But Karsono performance decline in the second and this give Bochenek an advantage to take the set. Although Karsono try to rise up in the third set but it just didn't manage to actually outplayed Bochenek. Karsono manage to difficult Bochenek at first but she eventually lost the set and the match.

On the other hand, Reihan Ahmadi manage to go through the next round after defeated Jonathon Edwards. It was a relatively easy match for him. Ahmadi win fast in the first set with 6-2. Edwards try to difficult Ahmadi in the second set and gives deuce to some games although Ahmadi manage to break it and win it. Ahmadi eventually win the set by 6-3. In the third round, Reihan Ahmadi will play against hometown players and 12th seeded, Kika Dovan. It is going to be a hard match for Ahmadi but hopefully he could manage it in order to advance further.

Another win was taken by Ketut Sudiarsa. He met Tamsin Strickland from Gloriax. Strickland gives a shocking performance in the first set and manage to difficult Sudiarsa at first. But Sudiarsa eventually win the set with 6-4. Strickland performance couldn't improve in the second set and was overshadowed by Sudiarsa. He win easily by 6-2 and win the match. In the third round, Ketut Sudiarsa will meet Mitch Carlton who surprisingly defeated 6th seeded Brett Roley from Estope.

The last win in single competition coming from Komang Ayu Yuliani. Playing against Young-soo Lee of Lemon Tree Island, Yuliani win easily in the first set with 6-2. Lee try to strikes back in the second set and although Lee manage to difficult Yuliani at first but Yuliani was still too strong. Yuliani ended win the second set by 6-4 and advance to the next round. She will meet 11th seeded, Brianna Powell from Kannap in the third round.

While in double competition, Yoga/Yogi Putra Antara have to admit Jeremy Lasturias/Damon D'Moore superiority. Lasturias/D'Moore manage to win the first set after Antara Brothers forced a 5-5 deuce. In the second set, Antara Brothers give their best performance and overshadowed Free Swiss States's double to take the set easily with 6-1. The third set was a tight one of super tie-breakers. Both teams didn't want to back down and give their best performance. But eventually Lasturias/D'Moore manage to take the last 2 games to win the match.

The other Rarungan double team, Lutanto Twins manage to go through the next round after defeated Mario Rossi/Neil Murphy from Cobmeister. Dwiyana/Dwiyani manage to takes the first set easily with 6-3. But in the second set Rossi/Murphy makes some difficulties to the Lutanto Twins with forcing a deuce in some games. But at the end Dwiyana/Dwiyani Lutanto manage to take the set and win it to advance to the main round. In the first round, Dwiyana/Dwiyani Lutanto will meet 6th seeded Jared White/Margareth Murphy from Estope.

Another Rarungan double team that automatically qualified to the first round is Lanang Prabawa/Linda Astuti. The current 10th ATP ranked will play against Eva Fabia Soares/Vera Adriana Soares from Costa de Ouro.

Montis de Surmar squashes Park in Round of 64
Janna Valdis -- Anditon Free Press

Al Montis de Surmar overcame a poor start to the Cenial Masters to quickly turn around his game to defeat Shi-woo Park in straight sets. The former #1 ranked player in the world was down 3-0 before storming back to take six in arow from Park creating 15 break point chances during the course of the two games. Park had been playing well to this point, most recently defeating John Wilmer of Estope (3-6; 6-4; 6-4), but apparently Montis de Surmar, the now #2 ranked in the ATP, was too much for Shi-woo to handle. Al will continue on in the round of 32, but his opponent has not been declared as of yet.

In other Cenial Masters news, Tim D'Aub also will advance following a dominating defeat of Aaron Murphy of Estope. Though Murphy was able to take the middle set (7-6 in extra time) it was D'Aub who only allowed a combined three games to the Estopian in the other two sets (6-2; 6-1 respectively). This match was par for the course for the wildly inconsitent D'Aub, who has yet to advance past the round of 32 in any tournament he has entered. He is sure to be an underdog in this next match so he will need to take a page out of his teammate Montis de Surmar's playbook.
"When you come on the court for the first time again, you want to be good," D'Aub mentioned during the post game presser. "You want to see if your practice was good or not. So I was a little bit more stressed than I should have been, because of that, my game suffered a bit and he caught me while I was worried, but in the third set, I played well and found a way to win."

Unfortuantely, not all of the news from Ceni was good news as Oscar Varscara inexplicably lost to a tadpole. The 9th ranked player in the ATP was livid following his loss to Betty the Homeless Tadpole and was not available for comment. Nonetheless, he did shout many obscenities (rather loudly) during the second set of the match, which could have removed his head from the game. At one point, he even questioned how the tadpole was able to hold the racket.

We wish all Anditon players luck as they advance in the Cenial Masters

Willinger Unconcerned over Fearsome Tadpole

Dustin Willinger expressed his doubts over Betty the Homeless Tadpole, who inexplicably defeated world number nine Oscar Vascara despite not having arms and being smaller than the tennis ball, not to mention a poor upbringing, in three sets at the Round of 64 in Ceni.

"I mean, wow, to beat Vascara, that's a mark of a player who can hold his...er, her...its...their...his? Uh...the player's own. And I have no doubt that Betty is a great player, but seriously, it's a tadpole. And at the end of the day, those with opposable thumbs are best suited to playing tennis.

Willinger defeated Estope's Jack Lewis in the Round of 64, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5.

Estope - Super-Llamaland rivalry brewing at Ceni?

Not counting qualifiers, Llamaneans have faced Estope three times in the early rounds.

Mark Markos 0 - 2 Aaron Murphy
Samantha Deux-Brady 2 - 1 Mary Moore
Dustin Willinger 2 - 1 Jack Lewis

Mark Markos and Samantha Deux-Brady of the Llamaneans played Aaron Murphy and Mary Moore in the Ro96. While Murphy swept the highly-regarded Markos with ease, Samantha Deux-Brady beat out Moore two-one to advance as well, while Dustin Willinger gave us the lead today with a win over Jack Lewis.

"Coincidence," Willinger said over the fixtures, "but hey, makes for a good storyline I guess."

Hernandez Looks Forwards to Beating Britonisea's Larry

In years prior, Llamaneans and Britonish were friends. But after the media of Britonisea made repeated attacks against the state of Llamanean tennis, the players' opinions on them have soured.

"I'm looking forwards to it," Brendan Hernandez said (over his game on Peter Larry). "Wipe out some Britonish smirks and get a Ro16 position, that'd be nice. The guy apparently sucks at mentoring (Master Larry failed to qualify), and I think I can overwhelm him. To be more serious, it should be close, but I have faith in my backhand!"

back pain besets navsal as he looks for another title
still steams past hasselhoff of super-llamaland

New Cenial, CENI >>> Despite back pain caused by a pulled muscle, Ardil Navsal has steamed pass his last two matches. He won against qualifier Taylor Hetner of Estope 7-5, 6-3 and against Rory Hasselhoff of Super-Llamaland 6-0, 6-3 to advance to the Round of 16 in the Cenial Masters. During the first match, both men held steady. His nation's hopes were placed upon Hetner, an up-and-comer in the Estopian tennis world. Hetner played well during the first set, holding all of his games. Navsal did the same. The match was tied at five all, and the match advanced into win-by-two territory. Navsal adopted a strategy in the match to keep the rallies short, using volleys and powerful forehands to keep his balls in. As the match wore on, though, Hetner used his games to wear out the hurting Navsal. Navsal still refused to retire, feeling that his pain was manageable. In the eleventh game, Navsal was serving, and he came to the net, volleying in. He believed he had found Hetner's weakness for the twelfth game: shots on the corners of the court. He successfully hit corner shots to take the set. The next set was easier as Hetner started making more mistakes. In his next match, Navsal bageled Rory Hasselhoff in the first set as the match was awash with errors on Hasselhoff's side. The next set was better for Hasselhoff, as he broke the former no.1 in the first game. Navsal, however, came back, taking the next few games. Hasselhoff took only two of his next games, and the match was over when Navsal aced Hasselhoff.

Navsal hurt his back during practice when he pulled a muscle serving. He thought it would only be a day and continued practicing until his doctor examined him, diagnosing the pain as a pulled muscle. He advised plenty of rest, hot and cold pads, and light exercise. It was unclear whether Navsal would play in the Cenial Masters, but Navsal was feeling well enough in the past couple of days to continue with the previously planned tournament. "My back started acting up a few weeks ago, and I couldn't hit the ball without straining the muscle<" Navsal said in a press conference. His serve had suffered as he wished to avoid damaging his muscle again. "The pain was just a dull throb, but a hard wear and tear on it would not be beneficial for me," he said.

Other Cenians playing in the Masters included first seed Elaine Foyner, 12th seed Kika Dovan, 14th seed Kika Dovan, and 20th ranked Johmer Vales on the singles side. While Dovan lost to Reihan Ahmadi of Rarungan and Botack Andiam lost to Reagan Harris of Super-Llamaland, both Foyner and Vales swept over their opponents. On the doubles side, second seeds Elia and Fia Xal, fifth seeds Perger and Ricpeer Rianor, Kika and Neia Dovan, Coosal Darlcheri and Gyrachor Rentos, Ellela Thotan and Ciache Nagya, and Les Lo and Bethaa Surr were all in action today. Only the Xal sisters and the Rianor brothers won their matches in doubles, with the rest losing to various opponents.

Victorious in Single but Losing in Double

On the continuation of Cenial Masters, Rarungan's single players were victorious with all 3 players advance to Round 4 of the tournament. On the other hand, the double team were getting kick out of the tournament after defeated by their opponents.

In Round 3, Reihan Ahmadi have to faced the 12th seeded and hometown player, Kika Dovan. Ahmadi shocked Dovan in the first set by taking the set easily without any resistance from Dovan. But on the second set, Dovan back to her performance and difficult Ahmadi. They stumbled into a tight tie-break after a 6-6 deuce but Dovan manage to outplayed Ahmadi and win the second set. The third set was going in a tight play. Both players didn't back down and gives their best performance in order to win the match. Another tie-break taken place after Ahmadi forced a 6-6 deuce. Dovan try to take the 13th game but lost the last shot to Ahmadi. And in the 14th game, Dovan widen backhand make her lost the match. Reihan Ahmadi continue to the Forth Round where he will play against another Ceni's player and 5th seeded, Ardil Navsal. With Navsal back pain injury hopefully Ahmadi could takes the opportunity and continue to the next round.

The second single match were between Ketut Sudiarsa and Mitch Carlton. Carlton gives a hard time for Sudiarsa in the first set when he forced a 5-5 deuce. But Carlton couldn't make it through the end after several unforced errors that he made. Sudiarsa win the first set by 7-5. Sudiarsa rise fast in the second set and didn't give Carlton room to improve his performance. Although Carlton could still steal 3 games from Sudiarsa but Sudiarsa eventually win the match and advance to the next round.

On the last single match of Rarungan's player, Komang Ayu Yuliani successfully defeated 11th seeded Brianna Powell from Kannap in a tight 3 sets match. In the first set, Powell show her class by outplayed Yuliani with ease. Yuliani couldn't develop her performance and gave up 2-6 to Powell. But in the second set, Powell seems to be in trouble when she got over confidence and make some errors. Yuliani takes the opportunity and continue to cornered her. Powell then surrender 2-6 to Yuliani in the second set. In the third set, both players seems to be in an equal position. Powell find back her confidence while Yuliani continue her great performance. But Yuliani bring difficulties to Powell on the last of the game and takes the set to win the match. In the next round, Komang Ayu Yuliani will meet her fellow friend Ketut Sudiarsa which previously win against Mitch Carlton. It is going to be a second time when both Rarungan players meet in the Cenial Masters after the meeting of Lanang Prabawa and Nadia Hapsari in the First Round.

A big upset coming from double team of Rarungan when both team that advance to the main round failed to continue to the next step of the competition. Rarungan main double team, Lanang Prabawa/Linda Astuti was taken down by Costa de Ouro team, Eva Fabia Soares/Vera Adriana Soares with 2 sets. Although the first set went very tight after a long tie-break but Costa de Ouro doubles eventually win the set. Prabawa/Astuti seems to be lost their confidence in the second set and continue to make more errors that they should be. They surrender 4-6 to Eva/Vera Soares.

While a tight match was presented by The Lutanto Twins. Dwiyana/Dwiyani Lutanto met Jared White/Margret Murphy from Estope. Dwiyana/Dwiyani successfully win the first set by 4-6. But they eventually lost in the second set after got in to a 5-5 deuce. In the third set, The Lutanto Twins seems to be out of focus. They make several errors that advantage Estope double team. White/Murphy eventually win the set by 10-6 and continue to the next round.

With this overall result, Rarungan will only be depended on the single tournament with one spot that already taken by Rarungan in the quarterfinal after the meeting of Ketut Sudiarsa and Komang Ayu Yuliani. While Reihan Ahmadi have to work his way to defeat Ardil Navsal in order to reach quarterfinal.

Only Mace and Toli Remain, While Hernandez unexpectedly beats Larry

PLACE: Ceni

Round of 32
Lance Mance (BRI) 6 6
Jared White (EST) 3 0

Javier Bochenek (EST) 6 3 6
Abi Forrest (BRI) 2 6 2

Ricardo Toli (BRI) 6 6

Aline Luiza Romao (CDO) 6 6
Leo Garry (BRI) 1 4

It has been a very bad day for Britonisea as 5 Britonish players turned to two and an unexpected fall for Mr Peter P Larry. Britonisea has never been good in tennis when Britonish players play in Ceni or Costa de Ouro. We always start of well but near the end there is a massive "lul" in our performance. It is back luck for Britonisea. Lance Mance and Jared White played yesterday and it was a fairly easy match for the World Number 8. He beat poor Jared in straights set and in one of the sets, he thrashed him 6-0! Jared White never plays this badly but maybe he something on his mind. When he comes back to full health he will be beating the likes of Ardil and Ricardo. Javier from Estope played poor Abi Forrest who was beaten in a deciding set of 6-2. She was not very happy in the court as she fell over on her face, But we guess that Javier wanted pay back as his fellow player Jared got beaten by a Britonish. Ricardo Toli, who is world ranked 4, played Violetta Tiefta of Super Llamaland. This was a fairly easy match for Ricardo Toli bringing him in to the round of 16. Ricardo needs to get to the quarter finals to stay in the top 10 and Semi-Finals to stay in the top 5 so he needs to be more alert. The overall score was 6-2 6-2 was not too bad but again another nation wanted pay back as Peter P Larry was booted out the tournament after playing Hernandez from Super Llamaland. Peter P Larry was furious and said "I am furious! Hernandez better watch out as I am after him. To the next hosts, put me and him in a group. I will give him something to cry about" BVC needed to edit that out because he started to get angrier. Then walking off. He needs to get ready for the Olympics as he will be taking part in badminton along with Korran Dispach. Finally the bad day ended with Leo Garry being beaten by Aline which doesn't help his ranking. At All. Maybe we should replace him with Dunkun Newman. Leo Garry replaced Dunkun earlier June. But maybe Dunkun should get back on the scene. Anyway Leo Garry was also disappointed and wanting to get revenge but these Britonish men need to calm down.

Doubles - Round of 32

Leo Garry/Elizabeth Quehall (BRI) 6 7 10
Luciano Ziccardino IV/Colonel Selav Tukerawan (VKL) 7 5 8

Peter P Larry/Lacey Turner (BRI) 6 6
Ellela Thotan/Ciache Nagya (CEN) 2 4

Leone Na/Abi Forrest (BRI) 4 7 8
Samantha Howell/Brianna Powell (KAN) 6 5 10

Lance Mance/Ricardo Toli (BRI) 7 4 10
Jeremy Lasturias/Damon D’Moore (FSS) 5 6 4

The four teams from Britonisea was in this round and 3/4 of the commenced to the next round which is good. Let us see if Britonisea can be the best in the series we only have the Ro16, quarters, semi and the finals which could be long but the pairs have to face lots of good tennis players from other nations. The best result today was Peter P Larry and Abi Forrest who beat Thotan and Nagya from host nation Ceni. They beat them in straight sets and was rushed of courts quickly. Leone Na and Abi Forrest lost against Powell and Howell of Kannap which was quite expected. Toli and Mance was tired of there win earlier so didn't play as well. But still pulled through.
Overall today at tennis was bad. Good Luck to Britonisea for the future!
