Electrum Tennis International - Hamilton

Due to a series of bizarre weather events in Nyucia (OOC: Inactivity), ranging from raining meatballs to the sun rays vaporizing everything in existence, the Association of Tennis Professionals has decided to move the event to Electrum. It has been rebadged as the Electrum International, and will be the first one of it's kind.

The event will be scheduled in Hamilton, approximately two hours north of Centralis by plane. Hamilton is a hot and windy place, making it very tough for players to do well. This is a Tier 1 Event.

Now you may be thinking, how on earth will the doubles players get from the Cenian Open to Electrum? It turns out that there is an interdimensional warp between the two countries, available at the centre of each tournament. The warp is located outside the front entrance of the Hamilton Tennis Courts in Hamilton, Electrum.

RP
The RP ranks will be graded from 1-5, then multiplied by a factor of 50. Ranks are cumulative, and will be directly added onto ranking. Theoretically speaking, it is possible to go from rank 0 to having a rank higher than the first seed in 6 days. The first cutoff is here. In other words, the cutoff will be 5pm Melbourne time. If you need to know when Melbourne's time is, click here

*Doubles rankings works in the same way as singles, but all bonuses are halved

Schedule
12th May - First Round
13th May - Rest Day
14th May - Second Round
15th May - Round of 16 (Bye day for doubles)
16th May - Quarterfinals
17th May - Semifinals
18th May - Final and Third Place

Pre Day 1 Commentary - Network ENN

Mark Williams: Welcome back folks, and we are here today with the inaugural Electrum International, where it will be held at the sunny Hamilton Tennis Courts in Hamilton. It is a searing hot 43 degree day with sandstorms on the horizon, but organizers say that this shouldn't be a problem in the early morning. Afternoon players are warned about the incoming sandstorms and are advised to take shelter if a sandstorm comes, unless if they want the clay around the eyes. Nonetheless, all 10 courts will be in action, with 48 matches in total.

Here will be the schedules for today in the main courts --

-- PLAYING ORDER --
Phillip Maxwell Arena - Morning
Ardil Navsal (CEN) [1] vs Maya Cassington (ETM) [WC]
Brianna Powell (KAN) [4] vs Vova Horak (BKM)
Duncan Newman (BRI) vs Samuel Gates (ETM)
Aline Luiza Romao (CDO) [3] vs Greg Meares (ETM)
Phillip Maxwell Arena - Night
Al Montis de Surmar (AND) [2] vs John Bruck (ZJE)
Elia Xal (CEN) [24] vs Sonya Gredello (ETM)
Show Court 2
Brett Roley (EST) [5] vs John of Re (ASN)
Peter P Larry (BRI) [7] vs Monica Rexendal (ASN)
Bishop Lou Kelly (EST) [6] vs Lucy Danstar (ASN)
Andre Pedrinho Delgado (CDO) [8] vs Nasuada Germenia (ASN)

Some of these players are also competing in doubles matches back in Ceni today, so that means that some players will potentially play three matches today, but nonetheless, Electrum officials have agreed with Ceni officials on the timing of events, so that the matches don't clash with each other. First up in Phillip Maxwell, will be first seed Ardil Navsil against wild card Maya Cassington, Navsil to go through. Next will be Powell of Kannap, 4th seed against Vova Horak. Next, the crowd's favourite, Newman from Britonisea and Gates from Electrum. Expect the crowds to go wild as they fight. Finally, it will be third seed Romao from Costa De Ouro against another home player, Greg Meares. At night, it will be second seed Surmar against Bruck and Elia Xal of Ceni against top seed of Electrum, Sonya Gredello.

In Show Court 2, seeds 5-8 will play, and it's Arctic Snowlands day with most of them in action in Show Court 2. Expect a very large arctic snowlands contigent there.

Montis de Surmar draws night game for opener of Electrum International
Janna Valdis

In the bizarre series of events that lead up to the move of the Nyucia Open to Electrum, Al Montis de Surmar has kept himself focused on the goal - compete and do decently.

"Many things have been distracting, the movement of the tournament, the garishly hot temperatures, the travel from Ceni... its just so strange - just a painting that the ATP needs to be organized to disallow these overlaps in tournaments - it hurts the quality of the game with too many. Evenso, I stay focused on my game and will do my best" Montis de Surmar stated in a press conference before the Electrum International. Unfortunately for Montis de Surmar, the excitement of Anditia has been focused on their Gridiron Football team competing in the World Bowl. When asked about the lack of support from Anditia he replied "Right, the support has been thinner than times in the past. I'm glad that the Wolves are doing well - it helps all of Anditon sports really. Even still, I think that I'll gain more support as I continue on past these openers."

The number 2 ranked Montis de Surmar faces John Bruck in the opener (luckily for a cooler night game). We expect him to dominate the game to continue on in the EI.

Player Profiles: The Top Ten

Image
The current world no.1, Ardil Navsal, has been stung by a quarterfinals exit in the Cenian Open, his hometown tournament, to current world #9 Amancio Raimundo Belo of Costa de Ouro. The 22-year-old Navsal has been on a good run so far with the ATP ranking system after doing not-so-well in previous tournaments. His earliest exit from a tournament has been the quarterfinals, shared between the Second Kinterten and the Cenian Open. Navsal shares a strong rivalry with no. 2 Al Montis de Surmar, and the two have faced off several times. It is very common to see one or both of them in the final of an ATP event, with the Cenian Open being the first tournament so far in which neither of them have been finalists. Navsal's playing style is aggressive and balanced between the net and the base line. He often takes advantage of approach shots to head down to the net, while his forehands and backhands are still unflinchingly accurate although not without fault. His opponents never take for granted any winners against Navsal, for he is known to try and get a racket on every single ball, saving a point, although some enterprising players will take advantage of this to tire him in matches. Navsal's titles include the Lzher-Jeckland Invitational, the BCA Challenge, and the King Pedro Clay Court Championships.

Image
Al Montis de Surmar was the first no.1 player in the ATP and one out of only two no.1 players, the other being current no.1 Ardil Navsal. Montis de Surmar is an expert on spin control and loves to make wicked combinations with the spin in order to challenge opponents. His strategy revolves around his use of spin to hit drop shots and hitting shots way in the back of the base line. With these tactics, Montis de Surmar has been able to take home the title in the Second Kinterten and Antillia Masters, although he is vulnerable to strong forehands. As said before, Montis de Surmar and Ardil Navsal share a fierce rivalry, but they also share a fierce friendship and respect for each other. Indeed, there has only been one tournament in which neither of them has been a finalist, which shows this duo's grip on modern-day tennis.

Image
Aline Luiza Romao, along with her compatriot Amancio Raimundo Belo, has been on an upswing recently, although she has fairly consistent play. She is known for being just the fourth player and second woman to win a tournament, prevailing over many of the top seeds and her countryman Belo to take the Cenian Open. Other shining moments in her ATP career include a semifinal play in the Antillia Masters and a finalist berth in the King Pedro Clay Court Championship. Indeed, the Cenian Open has been her first major showing off her home soil, and it has increased her confidence. Romao hits powerful forehands and backhands and is known to return shots that others take for granted as winners. Romao is one of the most consistent players on the tournament and this is one of her greatest advantages.

Image
Brianna Powell, current no.4, ascended to the heights of ATP tennis by defeating Al Montis de Surmar in the final of the Kannapian Invitational, becoming only the third player and first woman to win a tournament, after Montis de Surmar and Ardil Navsal. Powell plays an erratic game with many winners and many unforced errors. In some tournaments, she does well, while in others, she is eliminated by lesser opponents who take advantage of her. Especially vulnerable for volleys, Powell only goes for balls she knows she can return, saving for energy for strong backhands straight down the corners of the court. She has one of the best serves on the tour but makes many careless mistakes off of equally good serves. Powell prefers to take the baseline rather than the net any day. Overall, Powell can have good play when she puts her heart into it, but sometimes she is known to falter.

Image
The career of world no.5 Brett Roley has been a roller coaster, from the highs of the semifinals of the Second Kinterten and Antillia Masters to the lows of a first-round exit in the Kannapian March Invitational. Roley has never won a tournament in the ATP and is desperate to win one. Therefore, he takes many risks when hitting the ball, trying to force winners and drop shots. Unfortunately, this strategy leads to many errors, and Roley is not confident in his abilities to play with his string of early exits. Roley tries to take an aggressive lead to points and has a hard time transitioning from aggressive shots to defensive shots, but when his aggressive shots go in, they are often impressive winners.

Image
If one word had to describe Bishop Lou Kelly, the word would most likely be old, as the 72-year-old is the oldest player on the tour. Kelly's stamina is his God, as he is a Catholic bishop in Estope. Unfortunately, sometimes his stamina is too weak, and he falls for drop shots many a time, although he has strong accuracy and a fast serve most of the time. He was dismissed for his age at the beginning of the ATP season, but surprised many when he reached the quarterfinals of the Antillia Masters and semifinals of the Lzher-Jeckland Invitational. Like his compatriot Roley, Kelly is dying to win a tournament, but cannot take risks do to his frailty and lack of stamina, so he tries to hit powerful groundstrokes to make up for it, and Kelly can rarely be found at the net.

Image
Not exactly known for his stellar record on the ATP tour, Peter P Larry is the world no.7 and the no.1 player from Britonisea. His main disadvantage is perhaps his overconfidence, believing that he has winners when he doesn't and not running for balls that he thinks will go out, only to have them head deep into his court. On the other hand, Larry does have a strong forehand and strong volley, although curiously, he has never been able to combine the two to create an effective strategy, one that would probably do him good. Britonisean media has been constantly surprised when he is eliminated although other pundits accurately predict his exits. Larry's best performances have been a quarterfinal showing at the Kannapian March Invitational and the Lzher-Jeckland Invitational. Otherwise, his career has been a rollercoaster between the two tournaments.

Image
Andre Pedrinho Delgado has a good combination of powerful forehands and backhands and uses it to good effect against other players. His record before the King Pedro Clay Court Championships was uninspiring, but he switched coaches and his career is going up, with a semifinal spot in the King Pedro Clay Court Championships and a third place showing in the Cenian Open. Delgado also has a good serve and uses it to good effect, regularly getting aces and service winners or setting up a strong backhand or forehand shot. Even if that doesn't work, he often moves up to the net for a smash or volley. Delgado's greatest asset is his versatility and adaptability with all types of shots, and he is not afraid to take advantage of it.

Image
Amancio Raimundo Belo, the world no. 9, has been on an upswing recently, taking home the finalist's trophy at the Cenian Open. He has a record of defeating high-ranked players, including both world no. 1 Ardil Navsal and world no.2 Al Montis de Surmar. Belo is one of the taller players on the tour, at over 2.1 meters, and he uses his height to his advantage. His serve is extremely fast and he clocks large numbers of aces. Belo's height also helps his serve-and-volley strategy, which is extremely effective, as he can reach most balls and slam them down into his opponent's court. Much of the reason why his rank is less than his record is that he missed 3 of the last 7 tournaments and was eliminated in the first round of the Lzher-Jeckland invitational. He can be inconsistent at some points and loses several points in every match due to a high ball hitting the base line. Overall, however, he is a rising star in tennis and an extremely effective serve-and-volley hitter.

Image
Elaine Foyner, a 65-year-old Cenian, is one of the older players on the tour. Her main strengths go to her unflinching accuracy and ability to return the ball of a groundstroke. Like Bishop Lou Kelly, she is susceptible to winners and drop shots, and her opponents try and peg her with shots at the net. However, unlike Kelly, she has a strong volley as well and is more than capable of returning them at the net. One of her main advantages is that, in her own words, "players look at this [pointing at her white hair] and they underestimate me. Boy, they sure are surprised when I kick butt." Even though she has an accurate serve, forehand, and backhand, and a capable volley, Foyner can be run too far and tired out throughout the match, leaving more room for error in opponents' play. Foyner's best performances have been a pair of quarterfinals results in the Cenian Open and Lzher-Jeckland Open. Her best asset is her consistency, a trait that many other players do not have.

Post Day 2 Commentary - Network ENN

Mark Williams: The number of players has once again halved after another terrific day of tennis. After Electrum's slaughter in the first day, where all 7 singles players said good bye, we now only have one doubles team left, Gredello and Levinsky, after their win over Estope's Jared White and Margret Murphy. The Electrum International was a stifling hot day today, with the thermostat reaching 42 degrees at 3pm, and temperatures only dropping at night. However, there was a reprieve in conditions after yesterday's matches were cancelled due to a sandstorm, kicking up the dust and clay used in the tennis courts, meaning that the tournament had to be delayed for cleaning. First, let's check the schedule for tomorrow where it will be entirely singles action. We have reached the third round now, and this is where things get serious, the field of 16 will now be whittled down to just 8.

Here will be the schedules for tommorow in the main courts --

-- PLAYING ORDER --
Phillip Maxwell Arena - Morning
Al Montis de Surmar (AND) [2] vs Jared White (EST)
Brett Roley (EST) [5] vs Javier Bochenek (EST)
Aline Luiza Romao (CDO) [3] vs Samantha Howell (KAN)
Phillip Maxwell Arena - Night
Ardil Navsal [1] vs Ketut Sudiarsa (RAR)
Tamsin Strickland (GLX) vs Aymler Blake (GLX)
Show Court 2
Malcolm Courtney (GLX) vs Elaine Foyner (CEN)
Chiache Nagya (CEN) vs Ricardo Toli (BRI)
Ione Denzil (GLX) vs Amancio Raimundo Belo (CDO)

Now, let's go onto some analysis of today's match of the day with Gredello/Levinsky of Electrum against Margret Murphy and Jared White of Estope.

Gredello and Levinsky are the last team standing for Electrum, after another horror day in Day 2, which saw two of Electrum's teams knocked out in two very tight matches. Gredello and Levinsky held the ground and upset White and Margret, who were the power couple from Estope, they came into the tournament as sixth seeds. Gredello and Levinsky started the first set after winning the coin toss and went straight to work on holding their service games. White and Murphy also kept their service games until a break point in their final service, 4 games to 5. It was 40-30, with the Electrum team on one break point.

White served into Gredello's hand where Sonya did a backhand down the line, something of which caught Margret by surprise and off guard, handing Electrum the first set. The second set was a familiar affair, but this time Levinsky's serve broke down, but once again, Gredello worked especially hard to get the two girls back into the set and they broke back straight away. Once again, they were at square-one with Electrum in the lead 5 games to 4. Murphy's wayward returns sealed the deal for the team as they broke for the game, set and match.

Next up for this final pair will be an even tougher assignment, going up against third seeds Belo and Garcia of Costa De Ouro in the quarterfinals. This seems to be the marquee match and you can catch all the action live on Network ENN tomorrow. Until then, good night.

Post Day 3 Commentary - Network ENN

Mark Williams: In what has been a thriller day of singles action, we are proud to announce two new announcements from the Electrum Lawn Tennis Association (ELTA) has revealed that: The Electrum International, which will be rebranded next year as the Hamilton International which will lead up to the new grand slam held in Electrum, after the Jexxus Open called the Electrum Open. This will be one of four grand slams held throughout the year, with the Cenian Open held in April, the Jexxus Open held in June, the Electrum Open which will be held in Centralis in July and the Kannapian Open in October.

This has been heralded as the new era for tennis sports and the association of tennis professionals with a new ranking system and bidding open for the minor tournaments held throughout the year. There has been some speculation with other cities throughout Electrum, that is, Agri and Prescott looking to hold their unique takes on tennis tournaments. Anyways, I have incoming information which has revealed the schedule for tomorrow. Tomorrow is quarterfinals action where we will see the doubles players back on the court as well as the singles players. All of these matches will be a best-of-5 matches, and we expect to see some brilliant tennis there.

Phillip Maxwell Arena - Morning
Samantha Howell (KAN) vs Aylmer Blake (GLX)
Ardil Navsal (CEN) [1] vs Amancio Raimundo Belo (CDO)
Brett Roley (EST) [5] vs Ricardo Toli (BRI)
Phillip Maxwell Arena - Night
Al Montis De Surmar (AND) [2] vs Elaine Foyner (CEN)
Gredello/Levinsky (ETM) vs Belo/Garcia (CDO) [3]
Show Court 2
Ivory/Massimo (NYC) vs Xal/Xal (CDO)
Larry/Turner (BRI) vs Mance/Quehall (BRI)
After suitable rest
Howell/Powell (KAN) vs Goodman/Goodman (KAN)

Tomorrow night will feature the marquee match of the tournament, as Gredello and Levinsky fight it out against favourites, Belo and Garcia from Costa De Ouro for a place in the semifinals. This promises to be a thriller match as they are both fresh from cinching their group stage matches in the Cenian Open. Although they will be tired from the interdimensional warping, it promises to be a good one as they are on a roll. Speaking of the Cenian Open, Electrum is doing very well in the doubles tournament, with one team already qualified, and two more on the verge of qualifying as well.

Although Electrum is not well known in the singles tournament, you can expect us to have a larger and better presence in the doubles circuit. So join us next time as Gredello and Levinsky prove their mettle against their hardest rivals yet.

Montis de Surmar still stands in Electrum International
Janna Valdis - ELECTRUM

"Not much has really flustered me much so far. I don't know what to think about Elaine [Foyner of Ceni], but from what I've seen so far, she's doing decently well and has in the past. I mean, she's from Ceni and the tennis community is strong there. Luckily I've got a bit of info from Timmy [d'Aub; who lost to Foyner earlier in the tournament] so I think that I should be able to do something with this." Montis de Surmar was terse in his responses when describing his upcoming opponent.

Foyner is one of the older competitors in the tournament, and Montis de Surmar may be able to take that into his ability. Ranked 10th in the world, she is very accurate in her serve but tires easily - something that he should be able to take advantage of during their upcoming match. Al has done well to this point in the tournament and is hoping to continue his success. In general he hasn't dominated many of his matches fully and in order to continue his stronghold on the 2nd position overall in the world, he will need to up his game to be able to contend. If Montis de Sumar is able to get past Foyner, he will most likely face either Brett Roley or Ricardo Toli in the semifinals - either of which could be a difficult match (Roley is ranked 5th overall and has done well in the past including a semi-final appearance in the 2nd Kinteran).

We expect Al Montis de Surmar to defeat Foyner: 6-4; 6-3; 6-3

Post Day 4 Commentary - Network ENN

Mark Williams: It was quarterfinals day in Electrum where we saw the field reduced from 8, down to the final 4. From there we are approaching the semifinals tomorrow, with the grand prize the day after. Let's go through the predictions for each of the remaining four players and teams in both the doubles and singles tournament.

Singles
Ardil Navsal vs Ricardo Toli

This looks like to be a close one, but we expect the world number one to once again come out on top with another victory over Britonisea's Toli. Toli has had a good run so far, defeating Quest, Garcia (who coincidentally beat someone with the same name as me from Estope, Mark Williams), Nagya and just today, triumphed over favourite Roley. He has the capacity to pull the big upsets, but will he be able to go one further and beat Navsal?

Al Montis de Surmar vs Aylmer Blake

Once again, it is the second seed that goes through in this half, potentially setting off another showdown between the world number one and world number two. In the way however, is surprise package Aylmer Blake from Gloriax who has breezed through an easy draw, missing out on number 6 seed, Kelly from Estope and third seed Romao from Costa De Ouro. Nonetheless, it is now time for Blake to show his worth by going up against de Surmar who is in a ripper form at the moment. It seems like he is unstoppable.

Doubles

Elia Xal/Fia Xal vs Lance Mance/Elizabeth Quehall

In a surprise doubles tournament, all of the top four seeds have been knocked out, with Mance and Quehall remaining as the highest seed in the whole competition. The Xal siblings are in a ripper form as well, dropping one set on the way to the semifinals. Mance and Quehall however, have the finesse and teamwork required to continue on to the final.

Walter Goodman/Samuel Goodman vs Sonya Gredello/Rosa Levinsky

This side of the draw has opened up, with the 10th and 11th seed facing each other in the semifinals. The doubles tournament regularly brings upsets as a flaw in the teamwork can lead to disasterous consequences. Nonetheless, Gredello and Levinsky, who have already cinched qualification in the round of 16 in the Cenian Open, will also be looking to advance to the grand finals in their home tournament. Although the interdimensional travel may have worn them all out, it seems like they will win in the home crowd, unless the Goodman brothers from Kannap pull something spectacular out of their very large bag of tricks.

Here is the schedule for tomorrow, with matches starting at 3pm, and going onwards until night.

Phillip Maxwell Arena - Twilight
Al Montis de Surmar (AND) [2] vs Aylmler Blake (GLX)
Xal/Xal (CDO) vs Mance/Quehall (BRI)
Goodman/Goodman (KAN) vs Gredello/Levinsky (ETM)
Ardil Navsal (CEN) [1] vs Ricardo Toli (BRI)

Tune in tomorrow at 3pm to see the tennis action of the semifinals, where the final two spots will be revealed for the grand final? Will it once again be de Surmar and Navsal in the final? Will dream team Gredello and Levinsky enter their first grandslam final? Will the Xal twins overcome the power couple from Britonisea? All will be revealed tomorrow. See you then.

Britannual News

Britonisea's Ricardo Toli has beaten favorite from Estope

Place: Electrum

Britonisea's Ricardo Toli was set to play Estope's Brett Roley who was the favourite to win, but thankfully, Ricardo Toli stepped his game up to win and go through to the next round of the tennis tournament against world number 1, Ardil from Ceni.

Yesterday there was anticipation for Britonisea as Ricardo Toli (Britonisea's no.3) played a higher ranking Brett Roley who was the favourite to win! The match took so long and it was a 5 set match. The overall result was good for Britonisea as Ricardo Toli won.

Ricardo Toli (BRI) 3 3 6 6 6
Brett Roley (EST) 6 6 2 4 3

It only happens once in a tournament. A 25 year old, Ricardo Toli came back from 2-0 to Brett. It was amazing as he fought back to win a deserved match. Firstly Brett took advantage of his backhands as he gave him 120mph backhands down the line. This made him lose the first 2 sets but once Ricardo saw what he was up to, he showed Brett how to play like a man. He firstly beat the man from Estope 6-2 then 6-4 and it was back in game. Could he do it? He looked like Andy Murray after 6 hours of play. He wacked that ball to his weak spots. Finally he got what he wanted. But now there is a problem. He has to play world number 1 from Ceni, Ardil Navsal. We are looking forward to that match! Ricardo Toli says " did not expect to win this match. I wanted to quit but my heart and mind said no so I carried on, which was the right decision"

Also, good news and bad news for the doubles as the 2 brit couples played each other and one won and one lost the game, surprisingly unexperienced Elizabeth Quehall and Britonisea's no.2, Lance Mance, won against Peter P Larry, no.7 in the world, and Abi Forrest.

Peter P Larry/Lacey Turner (BRI) 0 7 4 6
Lance Mance/Elizabeth Quehall (BRI) 6 5 6 7

It may have been less longer than the match with Ricardo Toli and Brett but Peter and Abi bites the dust as they thrashed LARRY and TURNER (previous Britonisean winners) 6-0 in the first set, then the won the next set 7-5 only to lose to MANCE and QUEHALL 6-4, 7-6. It was sad but fun and we hope to see that again very soon!

Post Day 5 Commentary - Network ENN

Mark Williams: And with that the players or teams that will be playing the finals have been revealed. Let's go to tomorrow's schedule to see who will be playing who tomorrow for the all important Electrum International Trophy.

Phillip Maxwell Arena - Twilight
Doubles Finals - Not before 12pm
Xal/Xal (CEN) vs Goodman/Goodman (KAN)
Mance/Quehall (BRI) vs Gredello/Levinsky (ETM)
DOUBLES FINALS CEREMONY AT CONCLUSION OF GRAND FINAL

Singles Finals - Not before 5pm
Ricardo Toli (BRI) vs Aylmer Blake (GLX)
At not before 7pm
Ardil Navsal [1] (CEN) vs Al Montis de Surmar [2] (AND)
SINGLES FINAL CEREMONY AT CONCLUSION OF GRAND FINAL

Tomorrow night will feature the start of the doubles finals at 12pm, with the third place playoff starting first, then the grand final starting immediately after the conclusion of the first. Mance and Quehall of Britonisea, the surprise winners of the competition will be going up against home favourites Gredello and Levinsky. Then, at 5pm, Toli of Britonisea and Blake from Gloriax will go up against each other in the third place playoff. Finally, after the conclusion of that match, or at 7pm, whichever is latest, will see the grand final event, the top two seeds once again battling it out.

Navsal and de Surmar will be battling for the new Hamilton Trophy, a cup made of solid gold, as well as silver lining throughout. This represents Hamilton's mining dependence and how it contributed to Hamilton. The runners up will be getting the Hamilton Plate, a pure silver plate with pieces of (unradioactive) uranium sticking out of it, showing Hamilton's reliance of nuclear energy to power Hamilton as well as the entire nation. The doubles tournament will see similar trophies, but smaller.

In other news, the Electrum Lawn Tennis Association have been underway preparing the National Tennis Center in Centralis for the third grand slam of the year, the newly announced Electrum Open. The Electrum Open will be a prestigeous, but fun event. It will also be the second time where the newly announced qualification system will be used in the grand slam, with 96 spots going to the top 96 players, 8 given to Electrum, 8 given to wild cards and 16 more spots to qualifiers. It is surely an interesting time in the world of tennis, but join us at 12pm tomorrow to see the conclusion of this tournament. We shall expect to see Navsal and de Surmar climb up the rankings, after being pushed down at the rankings update. See you then.
