Gregoryisgodistan National Cup:

The Gregoryisgodistan National Cup is held following the league season to determine a spot in the Globe Cup. All 8 GSL teams participate, as do 32 local teams representing the 32 non-slave districts (the Capital District does not get a team.) This means every District from 1-36 except 5, 9, 23 and 27 sent a team. The 32 local teams will play two opening rounds by random draw first, then the 8 remaining teams and 8 GSL teams join, still random draw. All games are played at the home of one random selected team, and will include extra time and penalties if necessary.

Results:

Opening Round:

District 20 0–1 District 10
District 18 0–2 District 32
District 1 0–1 District 35
District 33 0–1 District 8
District 6 0–1 District 24
District 28 2–0 District 4
District 22 0–2 District 21
District 31 2–2 District 25 (3–2 AET)
District 34 1–1 District 12 (2–1 AET)
District 3 2–1 District 26
District 17 2–0 District 29
District 30 1–1 District 19 (1–1 AET) (3–4 pen.)
District 7 0–2 District 16
District 15 2–1 District 2
District 14 2–3 District 13
District 11 0–0 District 36 (0–1 AET)

Second Opening Round:
District 10 1–0 District 36
District 15 1–0 District 35
District 3 0–0 District 32 (0–0 AET) (5–4 pen.)
District 16 0–0 District 24 (2–0 AET)
District 8 0–2 District 34
District 28 2–1 District 21
District 19 0–1 District 17
District 31 3–0 District 13

Round of 16:

GSAZ FC 0–0 District 3 (0–0 AET) (4–2 pen.)
District 10 0–0 District 17 (1–1 AET) (4–2 pen.)
Loyal Friends 1–1 November 5 SC (2–1 AET)
District 34 0–1 FC 17 June
District 31 2–1 District 16
Coastal Soccer Club 3–3 Island Soccer (4–3 AET)
Slaves FC 0–0 Prune Farmers FC (0–0 AET) (4–5 pen.)
District 28 4–2 District 15

Quarterfinals:
Coastal Soccer Club 2–0 District 10
District 31 0–3 Loyal Friends
GSAZ FC 3–1 District 28
Prune Farmers FC 0–1 FC 17 June

Semifinals:

FC 17 June 0–0 GSAZ FC (1–0 AET)
Loyal Friends 1–3 Coastal Soccer Club

Final:
Coastal Soccer Club 0–1 FC 17 June

Accordingly, FC 17 June is the champion of GSC 1 and Coastal Soccer Club is the runner-up. As FC 17 June has already advanced to the Champions Cup and Coastal Soccer Club to the Globe Cup, Prune Farmers FC will receive the spot reserved for the Cup Winner by virtue of finishing fourth in the GSL.

Normally, the Cup Winner would go to the CEdC along with the League winner, but FC 17 June won both. That place is therefore allocated to the winner of a playoff between the league runner-up and the cup runner-up (if they were the same team, it would advance automatically.) Therefore, November 5 SC and Coastal Soccer Club played a one-game playoff. By rule (unlike in the Cup) there was no extra time/penalties, and a replay would be played if necessary at the team randomly selected not to host the first game, repeating as necessary, switching host sites each time. Coastal was randomly selected to host the playoff.

Results:

Coastal Soccer Club 0–1 November 5 SC

November 5 SC takes the second CEdC spot.

Final Qualifiers:

Gregoryisgodistan (GGS) Qualifiers
UICA
Champions Cup: FC 17 June
Globe Cup: November 5 SC, Coastal Soccer Club, Prune Farmers FC

CeDC: November 5 SC, FC 17 June
Cygnus Cup: FC 17 June

Additionally, the Gregoryisgodistan FA announced a change for next cycle. Beginning next cycle, the third Globe Cup spot will automatically go to the fourth place team in the GSL, while the Cup Winner, regardless of whether it is participating in UICA events, will earn a spot in the Cygnus Cup. This was a moot point this year, as FC 17 June won the league and the cup.

Gregoryisgodistan Soccer League

The Gregoryisgodistan Soccer League (GSL) was founded in 2014. There are currently 8 teams participating in the GSL, though it may be expanded. The GSL does not follow the normal transfer rules due to oppressive policies about entering and leaving the country. Transfer is only possible within the GSL, not to foreign countries, and no foreigners can compete in the GSL. Teams play a double round-robin schedule, 14 games, home-and-home. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top 2 teams play a championship match at Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium. The winner is champion, and the loser is second place. The Champion advances to the Champions Cup, while the runner-up and third place teams go to the Globe Cup. A single elimination national cup will also be held to determine a Globe Cup spot. The winner will advance to the Globe Cup, if it hasn't already. If it has, or if it has advanced to the Champions Cup, the runner-up will advance to the Globe Cup. If both the champion and runner-up have already advanced to one of the two tournaments, the fourth place team in the league will go to the Globe Cup.

The Gregoryisgodistan FA also includes the Gregoryisgodistan Special Administrative Zone, even though that is also eligible to send its own national team to World Cup. This is because the Gregoryisgodistan Special Administrative Zone is a Gregoryisgodistani territory and is too small for its own domestic league. Furthermore, all residents of the GSAZ are Gregoryisgodistani citizens and eligible to compete for the national team. (OOC: the GSAZ is known on NS as "Gregoryisgodistan Special Admin Zone" due to character limits.)

Teams:

Note: The information on the clubs' respective skills was correct heading into Season 1. It may no longer be accurate.

FC 17 June: Named for Lord Almighty Gregory's birthday, this team plays its home games in the Capital District at 617 Stadium in District 7, Ward 10, which seats 35,000. It is the best team in the league on paper, containing numerous national team stars. Their primary kit is red with gold numbering and red shorts, and their secondary kit is the inverse - gold with red numbering and gold shorts. Their unofficial nickname is the Junebirds, thought to be a corruption of Junebugs.

November 5 SC: Named after the day in which Lord Almighty Gregory supposedly created the multiverse in the year 0000, this team is also one of the top clubs. Most of the national team starters who don't play for FC 17 June play for November 5 SC, as do a few backups. They play in District 3, Ward 10, at Creation Stadium, which seats 27,500. Their primary kit is blue with gold numbers and blue shorts and their secondary kit is white with blue numbers and white shorts. Their unofficial nicknames are the Novas, as reference to their name, and The Great Creators, in reference to their ability to create goals and the fact that November 5 is Creation Day.

Loyal Friends: A team consisting of loyal friends of Lord Almighty Gregory. They were chosen for this team for their loyalty to Lord Almighty Gregory, not their soccer skill. They play at Friends Field in the Capital District, Ward 4, which seats 4,500 fans. It is open only to government VIP's, as is all of CDW4. Their primary kit is orange with black numbers and orange shorts and the secondary kit is the inverse.

Coastal Soccer Club: Coastal Soccer Club plays on the southern coast of Gregoryisgodistan in District 30, Ward 3 at Coastal Stadium, which seats 11,420 fans. It consists mainly of recreational soccer players though there are a few good ones. Its primary kit is cyan with gold numbers and cyan shorts and the secondary is the inverse.

GSAZ FC: GSAZ FC plays in the Gregoryisgodistan Special Administrative Zone, a territory of Gregoryisgodistan. It consists of loyal friends of Lord Almighty Gregory and other Government VIPs who live in the GSAZ. The GSAZ is a small territory of Gregoryisgodistan with different rules. First, it is a WA member to give Gregoryigodistan a vote on the WA, so is subject to all WA resolutions (unlike Gregoryisgodistan proper.) Second, it is a place for government VIPs to live without worrying about supplmentary Gregoryisgodistani laws like not saying "coconut." They don't have to follow those anywhere, but this makes them less subject to scrutiny. As mentioned above, all of them are citizens of Gregoryisgodistan as well and eligible to compete for the senior team, though none currently do. They play at GSAZ stadium, which seats 1,500. Their primary kit is white with red numbers and white short and their secondary kit is black with red numbers and black shorts.

Island Soccer: This team plays its home games on Gregland Lake Island in Section 21, Ward 11. It is located in the lake between Gregoryisgodistan and San Jose Guayabal, obviously in Gregoryisgodistani territory. Their home stadium is Island Stadium, capacity 2,000. There is still an international question as to what to name the lake, but the island has been named. It is only accessible by ferry, so players will have to take one from Section 21, Ward 10. Its primary kit is navy with white numbers and blue shorts and its alternate kit is lime green with blue numbers and lime green shorts. The team consists of mostly locals as it is so ridiculously inaccessible that nobody wants to play for them. Their unofficial nickname is the Islanders, for obvious reasons.

Prune Farmers FC: A team founded by the Prune Farmers of Gregoryisgodistan for their members to participate in. All players are prune farmers. Their only notable player is national team starting goalkeeper Prune Farmer 3818F. The team is trying to recruit Prune Farmer 91388 but he currently plays for FC 17 June. Their primary kit is purple with white numbers and purple shorts and the secondary kit is the inverse. They play at Prune Rec Field in District 2, Ward 2 which seats 1,300. Their unofficial nickname is the Pruners.

Slaves FC: A team of slaves since there aren't enough soccer players to fill 8 teams. If they win the league title, they will be liberated. They won't most likely as they are bad. Their primary kit is brown with yellow numbers and brown shorts and the secondary kit is the inverse. This was deemed the ugliest kit possible, perfect to humiliate slaves. They play at Slavery Field in District 23, Ward 13. It seats 300, all of which will be slavemasters making sure the slaves don't escape. The field is located inside a slave district where slaves work on manual labor. Not all slaves are based in slave districts, since some work directly for masters, but these slaves in the slave districts farm food items for Government VIP's who can eat whatever they want, to be shipped off to their homes, as well as making other items for government VIP's such as clothing. The slave districts are also used for people sentenced to slave labor for crimes.

GSL 4 Expansion Teams:

Gregoryisgodistan Soccer League announces expansion for season 4

Gregoryisgodistan Soccer League announced that eight new clubs will be added beginning in Season 4, which will as a result start earlier than previous seasons so it can finish in time. Furthermore, as a result of the GSL now containing 16 teams, there will only be one preliminary round in the Cup featuring local teams, with the 16 winners and 16 GSL teams playing in the First Round Proper. Here are the eight new teams.

Military FC will consist of soldiers and other military members, such as SuperGenerals. They will play their home games at Military Stadium on Gregoryisgodistan Military Base in District 31, Ward 3. This stadium seats 1,300.

Slave Beaters United will consist of a team of Slave Beaters. Naturally, their rival is Slaves FC. They will compete at the Slave Beater Lounge and Park at the Slave Colony in District 5. This stadium seats 2,100.

Gruelmakers consists of, well, gruelmakers. It will play its home games at Gruel Field in District 21, Ward 9, next to one of the largest gruel factories in the country. It seats 750.

AC Pervert Chasers will consist of Pervert Chasers. You do not want to streak during this match or you will pay dearly. They play their home games at Pervert Chasing Park in District 2, Ward 2. Its capacity is 300.

Horse Beaters FC is made up of Horse Beaters. They will ceremonially beat horses before every home game, which will be played at Horse Beating Ballpark in District 24, Ward 11. It seats 950.

Police Squad consists of Police Officers, including Secret Police Officers, from around the country. It will play at Police Park in the Capital District, which seats 3,000.

Club de Executioners consists of executioners. They will execute a prisoner on the field before every game. They play at Execution Rec Park in District 8 Ward 8, which seats 1,110.

AC Enemy Crushers consists of Enemy Crushers who weigh at least 500 pounds each. They play rough and may crush their opponents to death but are not very good or nimble. They play at Crushy Crushy Field in District 13 Ward 9, which seats 5,000.

The annual Gregoryisgodistan Marathon was run today. It also serves as the trials for the Summer Olympics, which will be held in approximately two months, making these athletes the first Gregoryisgodistanis to officially qualify. The athletes who finish first and second will qualify, while the third place finisher will be the first alternate, in case of injury or other factor. Then it will be the fourth place finisher, etc.

Gregoryisgodistan Triathlon:

The 2014 Gregoryisgodistan Triathlon was held today, and it also served as qualifying for the Olympics. The top two in each division (men's and women's) will advance to the Olympics, while the third finisher will be an alternate to serve in case of injury. The course begins with a 0.93 mile swim across the Lord's River from South to North. Then, the athletes ride bicycles west roughly paralleling the bank of the river for 25 miles. Most of this climb is uphill, as the athletes enter the mountains. Finally, the 6.2 mile running portion begins which involves continuing to parallel the bank for a few miles before crossing the Lord's River a second time over the majestic Gregland Valley Bridge, which spans the river at its widest point. The bridge itself is approximately two miles long and is the longest bridge in Gregoryisgodistan. The next three miles are a beautiful descent into the Gregland Valley. Heading down the hills, the runners will have a beautiful view of the entire valley. The road eventually descends to Gregland Lake, but the runners will not go that far. Instead, there are only a couple more miles to go before the finish.

Notably, all participants in this event are government VIPs since owning bicycles is illegal for commoners. Lord Almighty Gregory's Concubines are also eligible for the women's division.

Results:

OOC: All runners shown as being lapped in the scorinator were changed to DNF since it is impossible to be lapped on this course arrangement.

As was done last time, local teams representing the 32 non-slave districts will play two preliminary rounds, with the eight remaining teams joining the eight GSL teams in the Cup proper.

First Preliminary Round:

District 29 0–2 District 2
District 14 2–3 District 31
District 26 1–3 District 21
District 33 2–1 District 11
District 13 3–3 District 10 (3–5 AET)
District 22 2–1 District 16

District 30 1–1 District 3 (1–1 AET) (3–4 pen.)
District 12 2–0 District 25
District 20 2–2 District 17 (2–3 AET)

Second Preliminary Round:

District 28 3–3 District 32 (3–3 AET) (4–2 pen.)
District 33 2–1 District 22
District 3 1–1 District 4 (2–2 AET) (5–3 pen.)
District 31 2–0 District 17
District 35 0–1 District 12
District 36 0–3 District 10

District 6 2–1 District 1

First Round Proper:

District 28 1–1 Slaves FC (1–2 AET)
Loyal Friends 4–2 Prune Farmers FC
District 3 0–0 District 2 (1–1 AET) (3–4 pen.)
Island Soccer 4–2 District 33
District 6 0–4 Coastal Soccer Club

Quarterfinals:

District 12 2–3 Slaves FC
Island Soccer 4–5 Loyal Friends
District 2 0–2 Coastal Soccer Club
GSAZ FC 0–1 FC 17 June

Semifinals:

Loyal Friends 0–1 FC 17 June
Coastal Soccer Club 3–1 Slaves FC

Final:

Note: Final is played at neutral-site Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium, unlike the rest

Coastal Soccer Club 0–0 FC 17 June (1–0 AET)

Accordingly, Coastal Soccer Club wins the Gregoryisgodistan Cup II. They will also qualify for the Cygnus Cup as well as receive the second berth in the CEdC. They were assured of the latter before the final, as they finished second in the GSL to FC 17 June. Had FC 17 June also won the Cup, then by rule there would be a playoff between the cup and league runners-up to determine the second spot. As Coastal Soccer Club would have been runner-up in both, they would receive the second spot regardless.

Gregoryisgodistan B Division:

For the first time, Gregoryisgodistan will crown a B Division champion. There will be no promotion or relegation from the GSL. This consists of the 32 local teams, one for each non-slave district. They are divided into four groups based on prior performance, though the groups will remain the same now indefinitely. Teams play double round-robin in each group. Each group winner advances to the playoffs as well as to the Series B Champions Cup. In the playoffs, the team with the most points hosts the winner with the least points, while the team with the second-most points hosts the team with the third-most points. The championship will be held at 617 Stadium in District 7, Ward 10, which is the second-largest soccer stadium in Gregoryisgodistan after Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium. The third-place game will be played at Coastal Stadium in District 30, Ward 3, which is the third-biggest soccer-specific stadium in the country and the fourth biggest soccer capacity. (Lord Almighty Gregory Baseball Stadium can seat 12,000 for soccer, slightly more than Coastal Stadium.

Gregoryisgodistan Soccer League Season 3 (GSL3) started today with the first matchday. As the season will not conclude until after the deadline for Champions Cup 55 and Globe Cup 52, the winner will qualify for Champions Cup 56 with teams 2-4 qualifying for Globe Cup 53. Last year's standings will determine berths in the tournaments to be held soon. In case you need a refresher, FC 17 June won their second straight title to earn the spot in Champions Cup 55. Coastal Soccer Club finished second, losing 1-0 in the championship game. FC 17 June also took home the Lord's Trophy for topping the standings in the regular season. Coastal Soccer Club will play in Globe Cup 52 next month as the result of their placing, as will Prune Farmers FC and November 5 SC, who finished third and fourth, respectively. It was a disappointing finish for the Novas after their Lord's Trophy win in GSL1. They have really struggled since winning the inaugural Lord's Trophy, losing their first Cup game the last two cycles, including an embarrassing loss at home to the Rec Division's District 12 last cycle. They will certainly be looking for revenge, but as always, the Top Division comes first, followed by the Cup and the Rec Division.

Like last year, the top 2 teams in the league at the end of the season play in a Championship Game. As Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium was destroyed in a Wolfopian terrorist attack (OOC: Gregoryisgodistani false flag), the game will have to be held at another neutral venue. Due to the fact that the venue needs to be known ahead of time, and all suitable fields are being used by the GSL teams, a draw was held before the season to determine what team would host. If that team advances to the championship game, it will still be held at their stadium, but it will be considered a neutral-site game, with 40 percent of the tickets being allocated to each team to sell to their fans and 20 percent being available to neutral fans, as opposed to home games, where the visiting team would get 10 percent of the tickets to allocate and the rest would be allocated by the home team, generally to their fans. The draw was won by Island Soccer, so the game will be played at Island Stadium on Gregland Lake Island in District 21, Ward 11.

Here are the results from the first matchday, and the current standings.

Loyal Friends 1–2 Island Soccer
FC 17 June 4–4 Slaves FC
Prune Farmers FC 1–0 November 5 SC
GSAZ FC 2–1 Coastal Soccer Club

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 GSAZ FC 1 1 0 0 2 1 +1 3
Island Soccer 1 1 0 0 2 1 +1 3
3 Prune Farmers FC 1 1 0 0 1 0 +1 3
4 FC 17 June 1 0 1 0 4 4 0 1
Slaves FC 1 0 1 0 4 4 0 1
6 Coastal Soccer Club 1 0 0 1 1 2 −1 0
Loyal Friends 1 0 0 1 1 2 −1 0
8 November 5 SC 1 0 0 1 0 1 −1 0

This was a very surprising first day, with FC 17 June failing to beat lowly Slaves FC at home, letting in four goals in the process. The Novas continued their disappointment, losing 1-0 to Prune Farmers FC. It was a good win for the Pruners to bounce back from their defeat in the first round of the Cup last time we saw them. Island Soccer defeated Loyal Friends, who many people expected to have the best chance to challenge the "Big Four" who have advanced to international play each time the GSL has been held. In another shocking upset, Coastal Soccer Club, who many people thought could give the Junebirds a run for their money, lost to GSAZ FC.

Island Soccer 1–1 Coastal Soccer Club
November 5 SC 1–0 GSAZ FC
Slaves FC 2–3 Prune Farmers FC
Loyal Friends 0–2 FC 17 June

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Prune Farmers FC 2 2 0 0 4 2 +2 6
2 FC 17 June 2 1 1 0 6 4 +2 4
3 Island Soccer 2 1 1 0 3 2 +1 4
4 GSAZ FC 2 1 0 1 2 2 0 3

7 Coastal Soccer Club 2 0 1 1 2 3 −1 1
8 Loyal Friends 2 0 0 2 1 4 −3 0

Unlike matchday 1, which was full of upsets, this pretty much went as expected other than Coastal failing to beat Island Soccer. Still, a 1-1 draw on the road wasn't a horrible result. Prune Farmers FC currently sits in sole possession of first place. FC 17 June is in second.

Matchday 3 of the GSL3 was held today, with games all across Gregoryisgodistan. Here are the results.

FC 17 June 3–1 Island Soccer
Prune Farmers FC 0–1 Loyal Friends
GSAZ FC 2–0 Slaves FC
Coastal Soccer Club 1–0 November 5 SC

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 FC 17 June 3 2 1 0 9 5 +4 7
2 GSAZ FC 3 2 0 1 4 2 +2 6
3 Prune Farmers FC 3 2 0 1 4 3 +1 6

7 Loyal Friends 3 1 0 2 2 4 −2 3
8 Slaves FC 3 0 1 2 6 9 −3 1

FC 17 June moved into first place with a resounding victory at home over Island Soccer. Meanwhile, Coastal Soccer Club finally won a game, defeating the Novas 1-0. Loyal Friends bounced back from a poor start to the season with a big road win at Prune Farmers, also 1-0. Finally, GSAZ FC moved into second place with a 2-0 win over lowly Slaves FC.

GSAZ FC is off to a strong start in spite of playing the last two runners-up. They opened the season with a 2-1 win at home against Coastal, which was followed by a tightly contested 1-0 loss at November 5 SC. They then trounced the Slaves 2-0. Although the Junebirds are in first, they have yet to play any of the three teams that will join them shortly in UICA competitions as a result of last year's performance. In addition to Coastal, Prune Farmers, and November 5, FC 17 June will face off against GSAZ FC during the first half of the season. Then comes the second half, where the teams switch sites.

November 5 SC continued their fall from grace with a 2-1 loss to Island Soccer. Coastal defeated Slaves by a margin of 2-1, a game they should have won by more. GSAZ FC managed a scoreless tie on the road to Loyal Friends. This allowed FC 17 June to extend their first place lead to three points with a win over Prune Farmers FC. GSAZ FC is currently in second on Goal Difference over Coastal Soccer Club and Island Soccer and would advance to the championship game if the season ended today.

7 Loyal Friends 5 1 1 3 2 6 −4 4
8 Slaves FC 5 0 1 4 9 16 −7 1

Island Soccer continued their dream season, emerging 2-1 victors over Prune Farmers FC on the road. FC 17 June earned a resounding 6-0 victory over GSAZ FC, their biggest win of the year and one of their biggest ever. Coastal Soccer Club defeated Loyal Friends 2-0, while November 5 SC defeated Slaves FC 5-2.

Currently, FC 17 June remains in first place with 13 points, while Coastal and Island each have 10 points. Coastal is ahead on goal difference. If the season ended today, GSAZ FC would get the final UICA spot, but don't count out the Novas and the Pruners. They are only a point back. Loyal Friends is sitting in seventh with 4 points, and Slaves FC is in last with just a single point.

FC 17 June and Coastal Soccer Club played to a scoreless draw, which gave Island Soccer the chance to move into the Top 2 with a win at home against Slaves FC. Embarrassingly, they failed to even manage a draw, losing 2-1. Loyal Friends played to a 1-1 draw against November 5 SC, while Prune Farmrs FC defeated GSAZ FC 1-0 at home. Currently, FC 17 June sits atop the league, followed by Coastal Soccer Club, meaning we could have a rematch of last year's final. Island Soccer is in third place, followed by Prune Farmers FC. Those two teams would have Globe Cup spots if the season ended today.

GSAZ FC 0–3 Island Soccer
Coastal Soccer Club 2–0 Prune Farmers FC
November 5 SC 1–0 FC 17 June
Slaves FC 5–1 Loyal Friends

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 FC 17 June 7 4 2 1 17 6 +11 14
2 Coastal Soccer Club 7 4 2 1 9 4 +5 14
3 Island Soccer 7 4 1 2 12 9 +3 13

7 GSAZ FC 7 2 1 4 4 12 −8 7
8 Loyal Friends 7 1 2 4 4 12 −8 5

Island Soccer continued what is by far their best season, smashing GSAZ FC 3-0 on the road. Coastal Soccer Club defeated Prune Farmers FC 2-0 at home. That loss combined with FC 17 June's 1-0 defeat at November 5 SC puts Coastal and 17 June level on points. Loyal Friends suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat against Slaves FC. FC 17 June has the better goal difference and would win the Lord's Trophy if the season ended today. Meanwhile, Island Socer is in third with 13 points, while November 5 SC is in fourth with 10. Prune Farmers FC is in fifth place with 9 points, while Slaves FC is in sixth following their second win in a row. They had just two wins in the past two-plus seasons combined before now. GSAZ FC is in seventh place, also with 7 points but a worse goal difference than the Slaves, while Loyal Friends is in last place with just 5 points.

Due to the fact that Hurricane C is expected to make landfall in Gregoryisgodistan Monday afternoon, it was decided to move those games back a day and play a doubleheader Sunday, one game in the morning and one in the evening. It is possible that Tuesday's games will be postponed to a doubleheader Wednesday - an announcement will be made Tuesday morning.

Here are the results.

Coastal Soccer Club 3–1 Island Soccer
GSAZ FC 3–2 November 5 SC
Prune Farmers FC 2–1 Slaves FC
FC 17 June 2–0 Loyal Friends

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 FC 17 June 9 6 2 1 22 8 +14 20
2 Coastal Soccer Club 9 5 3 1 13 6 +7 18
3 Island Soccer 9 4 2 3 15 14 +1 14
4 November 5 SC 9 4 1 4 12 10 +2 13
5 Prune Farmers FC 9 4 0 5 8 11 −3 12
6 GSAZ FC 9 3 2 4 8 15 −7 11
7 Slaves FC 9 2 1 6 19 23 −4 7
8 Loyal Friends 9 1 3 5 6 16 −10 6

Coastal Soccer Club knocked off Island Soccer 3-1 in a crucial fixture. Coastal is now four points ahead of the Islanders for the second Championship Game spot. Elsewhere, GSAZ FC stunned November 5 SC 3-2 at home, Prune Farmers FC knocked off Slaves FC 2-1 and FC 17 June shut out Loyal friends 2-0. The top four is unchanged from after MD8, though Coastal Soccer Club managed to extend their lead over Island Soccer for the second-place spot. November 5 SC would have the final Globe Cup spot if the season ended today, while Prune Farmers FC would miss out on UICA competition for the first time. GSAZ FC has an outside shot of making UICA play as well.

Matchday 10 of the GSL was held tonight, with games all across Gregoryisgodistan. Here are the results.

Island Soccer 2–2 FC 17 June
Loyal Friends 1–2 Prune Farmers FC
Slaves FC 2–7 GSAZ FC
November 5 SC 1–4 Coastal Soccer Club

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 FC 17 June 10 6 3 1 24 10 +14 21
2 Coastal Soccer Club 10 6 3 1 17 7 +10 21
3 Island Soccer 10 4 3 3 17 16 +1 15
4 Prune Farmers FC 10 5 0 5 10 12 −2 15
5 GSAZ FC 10 4 2 4 15 17 −2 14
6 November 5 SC 10 4 1 5 13 14 −1 13
7 Slaves FC 10 2 1 7 21 30 −9 7 ELC
8 Loyal Friends 10 1 3 6 7 18 −11 6 ELC

Key:

ELC=Eliminated from Championship contention, may still qualify for Globe Cup.

The shock of the day was FC 17 June failing to beat Island Soccer, drawing 2-2 on the road. Prune Farmers FC moved into a UICA placing with a 2-1 win over Loyal Friends. GSAZ FC clobbered Slaves FC 7-2, while Coastal Soccer Club dismantled November 5 SC 4-1. With a maximum of 12 points remaining from 4 games, Slaves FC and Loyal Friends are eliminated from championship contention. They can both still qualify for UICA competition, though it will take a miracle.

It seems all but certain FC 17 June and Coastal Soccer Club will be facing off in the Championship Game as those two teams have a six point lead with four to play. A crucial matchup between those two teams looms on Matchday 13, when Coastal hosts the Junebirds. The winner of that match, if there is a winner, will likely take home the Lord's Trophy. Coastal would be the third Lord's Trophy winner in as many seasons, but only FC 17 June has won the Championship so far. Of course, teams would much rather win the Championship than the Lord's Trophy. In order of priority for domestic competitions, it likely goes League, Cup, Lord's Trophy. The CEdC Second Spot Playoff would also rank higher than the Lord's Trophy, but that is not an annual competition, held only as needed.

Matchday 11 of the GSL was held today, with games all over Gregoryisgodistan. Here are the results.
November 5 SC 0–3 Island Soccer
Coastal Soccer Club 6–3 Slaves FC
GSAZ FC 2–2 Loyal Friends
Prune Farmers FC 0–1 FC 17 June

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 FC 17 June 11 7 3 1 25 10 +15 24
2 Coastal Soccer Club 11 7 3 1 23 10 +13 24
3 Island Soccer 11 5 3 3 20 16 +4 18
4 GSAZ FC 11 4 3 4 17 19 −2 15 ELT
5 Prune Farmers FC 11 5 0 6 10 13 −3 15 ELT
6 November 5 SC 11 4 1 6 13 17 −4 13 ELC
7 Loyal Friends 11 1 4 6 9 20 −11 7 ELC
8 Slaves FC 11 2 1 8 24 36 −12 7 ELC

Key:
ELC: Eliminated from Championship contention, can still qualify for UICA through Globe Cup.
ELT: Eliminated from Lord's Trophy contention, can still qualify for Championship Game as runner-up.

The big news was November 5 SC losing 3-0 to Island Soccer, putting them in sixth place with 13 points. The inaugural Lord's Trophy winners might not even make UICA. Coastal Soccer Club easily handled Slaves FC 6-3 in a high scoring game. GSAZ FC played to a 2-2 draw at home against Loyal Friends, while FC 17 June defeated Prune Farmers FC 1-0 on the road.

With 9 possible points remaining from three games, November 5 SC, Loyal Friends, and Slaves FC have all been eliminated from Championship contention, as none of them can finish in the top two. They are all still eligible for the Globe Cup, though in the case of Loyal Friends and Slaves FC, it would take a miracle.

Additionally, since Coastal Soccer Club and FC 17 June have yet to play their second leg, and one needs to win it (or they can both draw) GSAZ FC and Prune Farmers FC are eliminated from Lord's Trophy contention, though they can still reach the Championship Game as runner-up. It would take a miracle, though.

Matchday 12 of the GSL was held today, with games all across Gregoryisgodistan. Here are the results.

Island Soccer 4–1 Prune Farmers FC
FC 17 June 2–0 GSAZ FC
Loyal Friends 1–2 Coastal Soccer Club
Slaves FC 1–2 November 5 SC

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 FC 17 June 12 8 3 1 27 10 +17 27 UICA
2 Coastal Soccer Club 12 8 3 1 25 11 +14 27 UICA
3 Island Soccer 12 6 3 3 24 17 +7 21 ELT
4 November 5 SC 12 5 1 6 15 18 −3 16 ELC
5 GSAZ FC 12 4 3 5 17 21 −4 15 ELC
6 Prune Farmers FC 12 5 0 7 11 17 −6 15 ELC
7 Loyal Friends 12 1 4 7 10 22 −12 7 EUICA
8 Slaves FC 12 2 1 9 25 38 −13 7 EUICA

Key:

EUICA: Eliminated from all UICA competition qualifying.
ELC: Eliminated from Championship Game contention, can still qualify for UICA through Globe Cup
ELT: Eliminated from Lord's Trophy contention, can still qualify as runner-up.
UICA:: Qualified for UICA Competition, but specific one is TBD.

Island Soccer got a crucial win over Prune Farmers FC, 4-1, while FC 17 June knocked off GSAZ FC 2-0. Coastal Soccer Club defeated Loyal Friends 2-1, while November 5 SC knocked off Slaves FC 2-1. FC 17 June and Coastal Soccer Club will now almost certainly be facing off in the Championship Game, but that's not certain yet. However, the only other team that has even a remote chance of making the Championship Game is Island Soccer, who is eliminated from Lord's Trophy contention due to the fact that FC 17 June and Coastal Soccer Club have yet to play each other a second time. Everyone else is eliminated from Championship contention, and Loyal Friends and Slaves FC are eliminated from any shot at UICA competition.

Additionally, Coastal Soccer Club and FC 17 June are guaranteed to advance to UICA play for the third straight time. Island Soccer is also almost completely assured of UICA Play, though it will almost certainly be in the Globe Cup.

The penultimate day of the GSL regular season was held today and we have fresh steaming results for you. Here you are....

Slaves FC 2–1 Island Soccer
November 5 SC 1–3 Loyal Friends
Coastal Soccer Club 1–0 FC 17 June
GSAZ FC 1–0 Prune Farmers FC

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Coastal Soccer Club 13 9 3 1 26 11 +15 30 PO
2 FC 17 June 13 8 3 2 27 11 +16 27 PO
3 Island Soccer 13 6 3 4 25 19 +6 21 GC
4 GSAZ FC 13 5 3 5 18 21 −3 18
5 November 5 SC 13 5 1 7 16 21 −5 16
6 Prune Farmers FC 13 5 0 8 11 18 −7 15
7 Loyal Friends 13 2 4 7 13 23 −10 10 EUICA
8 Slaves FC 13 3 1 9 27 39 −12 10 EUICA

Key:

PO: Clinched spot in Championship Playoff
GC: Clinched spot in Globe Cup, cannot advance to Championship Playoff
EUICA: Eliminated from UICA contention.

The big news is that Coastal Soccer Club defeated FC 17 June 1-0 at home, meaning they will win the Lord's Trophy with a draw at Prune Farmers FC tomorrow. If they lose and FC 17 June defeats November 5 SC, the Junebirds will take home the Lord's Trophy. In any case, Coastal and 17 June will definitely face off in the championship match. Furthermore, Island Soccer has clinched a UICA spot despite a humiliating 2-1 loss at Slaves FC. GSAZ FC moved into the final UICA spot, with November 5 SC two points back and Prune Farmers three points back heading into the final matchday. GSAZ FC will head to Island Soccer, Prune Farmers FC will host Coastal, and November 5 SC will take on FC 17 June as mentioned earlier. Loyal Friends and Slaves FC will also square off to avoid the dreaded last-place finish.

As a reminder, the Championship Game will be played at the home of Island Soccer and the winner will be crowned GSL Champion and advance to the Champions Cup. The loser will be league runner-up and advance to the Globe Cup.

Day 14 of the GSL season was held today, the final matchday. Games were held all over Gregoryisgodistan to determine who would win the Lord's Trophy and who would get the final Globe Cup spot, among other important things. Here are the results.

Island Soccer 2–4 GSAZ FC
Prune Farmers FC 1–0 Coastal Soccer Club
FC 17 June 3–1 November 5 SC
Loyal Friends 5–6 Slaves FC

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 FC 17 June 14 9 3 2 30 12 +18 30 LT, PO
2 Coastal Soccer Club 14 9 3 2 26 12 +14 30 PO
3 Island Soccer 14 6 3 5 27 23 +4 21 GC
4 GSAZ FC 14 6 3 5 22 23 −1 21 GC
5 Prune Farmers FC 14 6 0 8 12 18 −6 18
6 November 5 SC 14 5 1 8 17 24 −7 16
7 Slaves FC 14 4 1 9 33 44 −11 13
8 Loyal Friends 14 2 4 8 18 29 −11 10

Key:

LT = Lord's Trophy
PO = Championship Playoff
GC = Globe Cup

In a shock, Coastal Soccer Club lost to Prune Farmers FC 1-0. Combined with FC 17 June's 3-1 win over November 5 SC, that means the Junebirds will take the Lord's Trophy for the second straight year. Coastal still finishes second and makes the Championship Playoff. Thanks to GSAZ FC's 4-2 win at Island Soccer, as well as other favorable results, they will get the third Globe Cup spot. Island Soccer had already clinched the second, and the championship playoff loser gets the first.

The playoff will be held at a neutral site, the home of Island Soccer.
