Note: the strange address listed in the title is due to the mental symbols squonks use to log onto the threadspace, a collective consciousness that functions as an organic internet that can be accessed through certain mediation techniques.

Hello, welcome to the Menukten Sportwires where the results of Menukten's most presitigious sporting leagues will be posted. Because sporting events are nearly the only time groups of squonks come together and share in each other's company, the Sporting Guilds in Menukten are very powerful. There are 166 sporting guilds which collectively oversee all sporting events in Menukten. Each Sporting Guild is likely to have multiple teams from multiple sports on its rosters. Due to this, the names of the teams are the same throughout all Menukten sporting events, whether the sport be lacrosse, soccer, jesterball, handball, ultimate or larceny.

The most popular sport in Menukten is lacrosse, which the squonks believe they invented, and then taught the Native Americans of New England and Southern Canada how to play. Lacrosse teams play against each other in the massive Supaligwa, in which 166 teams compete for one championship spot. Other popular sports are soccer, jesterball, 3x3 Basketball and ultimate. These together with lacrosse make up the Big 5 sporting leagues in Menukten, each with 166 teams and each with seasons two years long.

Other popular sports are combat juggling, handball, basketball, volleyball, wheelchair rugby, patinsball, roller hockey and bowling.

Season names refer to the Menuktenese zodiac and recycle ever 6 seasons, or 12 years.

Some of you may have noticed that I have completely changes teams names for some sports. The IC explanation of this is that a monk in one of Menukten's hermitages discovered a time traveling tantric technique and, using it, completely altered the history of Menukten, resulting in towns and squonks having more traditional names.

Because the Supaligwa lasts for two years of intense training and match playing, lacrosse teams are given the third year off to rest until the beginning of the new season. This time has led to the creation of a third year league in the sport, where the top 40 battle it out for first place.
