World Junior Hockey Championships VI (Everything thread)

Postby The Royal Kingdom of Quebec » Fri Apr 11, 2014 9:04 pm

Bienvenue au Royaume du Quebec!

Welcome everyone to the Royal Kingdom of Quebec, where the Royal Alexandre Hockey Invitational Tournament, staged for many of the World's hockey giants and uprising nations, will be hosted. I hope everyone will enjoy your time in this wonderful nation of ethnic diversity(well somewhat), food and of course, hockey! More information on scorination, venues and other information will be found in the next administrative post.

SOME FRIENDLY INFORMATION THAT CAN HELP YOU A LOT

1. RPing doesn't necessary equal win. RPing good, creative and well will increase your chances of winning by a lot, and for most of the times you will. However, it's possible that you might lose even with a perfectly-crafted RP.

2. Please follow the opponent posters. If your opponent has posted a roster, please follow it so you don't get in trouble by that person because you hadn't bothered to look up names. It is annoying when you've posted a roster, but others don't follow and make up names on your team.

3. Follow your opponent's RP permissions. Rp permissions are rules that each individual participant sets, that others must follow. This only applies if you're RPing before the opponent team does. If you've posted your RP after they did, please do try to make the events same. For example, don't post that your team had 5 Touchdowns and 2 Field Goals when you only scored 9 points and the previous RPer said that your team scored 3 Field Goals. If you don't by the deadline, you will not get a RP bonus for that RP.

So, have fun and good luck!

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cutoff time: It'll be approximately 20:00 EST(Toronto-New York Time). In the event that my team makes the playoffs, I am requesting that someone make themselves available to scorinate those series for me. TG me if you are willing.

Fighting rules and Penalties associated: Will follow NHL rules, but loosely enforced due to large mix of QHL referees and linesmen in place. You may kill, injure or do whatever with them but please TG me beforehand.

Scorination

Scorination will be done in the latest version of xkoranate on the ice hockey function. Style Modifiers will be from -5 to +5. RPs will be scored from 0 to 2 and the criteria for judging them is based mainly and creativity and how well written they are. The RP bonus will serve as a significant factor in the scorination. They will be cumulative, but all RP bonus will be reduced to half after the group stage. There will also be bonus RP opportunities (that you can ignore if you want) next to some of the scorinated matches, just like how I did in 2 BoIs and RAHI hosted by me.
RP Cutoff would be around 8:30 pm Central Standard Time (US and Canada).

Transportation

To arrive in Quebec you'likely just want to fly in to the city that you will be playing in. The 3 cities going to be hosting the tournament are Iqaluit, Labrador City, Goose Bay and Sept-Iles. Iqaluit possesses a major seaport and airport, while Sept-Iles and Goose Bay has major seaports and medium-sized airports. Labrador City, on the other hand, possesses only a very small airport that is only serviceable for domestic flights, therefore it is not wise to go to Labrador City via plane. If you insist on arriving via waterways, then there's nothing to worry, as all 3 holds a port able to hold most vessels.

While travelling inside country, there are main methods you can use for this. The railways here isn't as quick as it'd be with other nations(the maximum speed being 225km for the fastest train service), but they are extremely punctual/on-time, popular and frequent(one train per 30 minutes), making it a very cost-effective and attractive option. Quebec does possess a strong auto industry and cars are somewhat prevalent, so you can travel via cars if interested. Flying between those three cities are not recommended as there are not only very few flights, but also there's no need for them.

Lodging

There will be some hotels of high-calibre(at least 4 star ones) available in those cities. However, those 4 cities being medium-sized cities, there will be some issues. The same will not be guaranteed with the visiting fans as there will be mass influx of Quebecois citizens as well, to watch the games. Therefore it is recommended to make reservations 3-4 months ahead of the tournament, in order to guarantee your reservation in the hotels around the city.

If you are still in trouble of finding hotel or motel suites, there will be hotels, motels and other modes of accomodation available at your expense......on towns slightly far away from the venues(50km-100km). For more information please contact Tourism Quebec or for more specific information any tourism agency of the city/cities you'll be off to(OOC: TG me if you have any questions or so).

Weather

Royal Kingdom of Quebec is located in Temperate, Subarctic and Polar regions, with all 4 cities hosting located in the latter two(Subarctic: Labrador City, Sept-Iles. Arctic: Goose Bay, Iqaluit). As this tournament is held during the month of January, temperatures will be and stay below freezing, with an extreme possibility of frequent snowfall daily and snow covering the roads. This will not affect the train services and games however, with the latter being that all the games will be held indoors.

Language

There are three official languages in this nation: English, French and Korean. All 3 languages are taught in school curriculum and with great depth, causing most of the population to be trilingual. There are some differences between the cities however: at Quebec City it is very likely to encounter Korean on media and street signs, with French and English in the same way for Montreal and Kingston. On other provinces some other First Nations languages are regional languages and are used to great depth, so please note that if you're planning to have your accommodation on those provinces(ones surrounding those 3 major provinces and Montreal).

Money

The national currency of Quebec is Quebecois Dollar, which is fairly expensive. The current exchange rate is $2.9 NS for 1 Quebecois dollar. With the nation being rich with huge economy, almost everyone will have at least has a good deal of money here. So please don't feel surprised if the products are much more expensive here than back home, excluding alcohol.

Entertainment

Mediums of entertainment are largely varied based upon where you go. It's time for a handy chart.

Goose Bay: Sailing, sledding(hosts the Royal Quebec Sledding Centre), Rap Concerts
Iqaluit: Hockey(city of 750,000 with 25,000 hockey rinks is certainly a hockey town, right ;) ), Inuit traditional arts, Rock(more into alternative and modern) Concerts
Sept-Iles: College hockey, discos and nightclubs, Dancepop and Hard Rock concerts
Labrador City: Skiing, Inuit traditional arts, Camping, Trekking across Norrehavn Mountains, Death Metal Concerts

Religion

Quebec is a religiously diverse country, though divided when it comes to dominant regions. In the cities where the WJHC VI will be hosted, First Nations' religions are widely practiced, with Esquarian Orthodox Church and Buddhism right behind. Due to these differences, all three levels of Government keeps some separation from any religions, though they still hold some influences in those levels and receive lots of funding. It is also not recommended to argue about politics or religion in Quebec, as political and religious apathy is not known....for most part.

Laws

Culturally and socially, Quebec is in bit of a mix. Another handy chart will be in place to explain some of Quebec's laws in place:

Recreational drugs: Legal, though selling them without licence can lead to up to $10,000 in fines and 5 years in jail.
Hard drugs: Illegal, with punishments up to $50,000 in fines and 15 years in jail for possession and consumption of the drugs
Prostitution: Completely Legal, though it'd be next to impossible to receive such services unlike in the South
Pornography: Legal, aside from child pornography(applies to any pornographic videos or anything else starring people up to 18 years of age). Possession of child pornography will land you straight in jail for 5 years, while production and distribution of it can lead to potential death sentence. So, don't try it as it's a big no-no.
Legal age for tobacco: 19
Legal age for alcohol: 16
Maximum BAC to drive: 0.03.(Across the country)
Saying the word 'Coconut': Perfectly.....legal. Or is it? :p

All the foreign citizens caught under the Federal and/or Provincial law will not be extradited, unless of a special order given by the Emperor, His Imperial Majesty the Jacques IX.

Arenas

Olympia Stadium, Iqaluit,Robert Agpik Arena, Iqaluit

The Northernmost and oldest arena used in the tournament. Olympia Stadium is most well known for its heritage, history, as well as urban legends surrounding it. Built in 1925, it was constantly renovated to keep the stadium up with the QIS(Quebec Intercollegiate Sports) and QHL standards. Right now this 17,500-seater is the home to Iqaluit Silver Wings, a cup contender into its 7th year of existence, and University of Iqaluit Lightning, another hockey powerhouse in QIS regularly drawing sellout crowd. With the hosting of WJHC 6, a new jumbotron will be up in the rafters for the audience's sake.

On the other hand, Robert Agpik is a lot more recent, lesser-known large-sized arena in this Northern city. Located 4 blocks away from the railway station and 30 minutes from the airport, it is located right in the downtown core of the city. Built in 2001(15 years ago), the Agpik has all the amenities that is now a mainstay in modern arenas. It is home to Iqaluit Jr. Silver Wings and Iqaluit Icemen of Maritimes Hockey League.

Iqaluit is a city of 750,000 people, most of them Inuits. With average winter temperature of -27'C, It is by far the coldest major city in Quebec, located right in the Esquarian Arctic. Therefore, most of the transportation is done through subways and underground hallways, which are often well known for being insulating, as well as luxurious. The city is extremely well known for its love of hockey, having 25,000 hockey arenas and rinks in a city of 750,000, and annually the city produces many talented Jr prospects.

Svanemollen Saddledome, Goose Bay

Goose Bay(population: 389,000) is the mainland Quebec's northernmost city that is available all year-long, thereby serving an important role as the transportation hub for both ships that travel over Esquarian Arctic Ocean, and trains. In Summers, the city's full of yachts and all sorts of people from the rest of Quebec who come here for some sailing without killing themselves. The average winter temperature of Goose Bay is -19'C, slightly warmer than the other cities.

Svanemollen Saddledome is the arena which is going to be used for the tournament. Largest of all 6 arenas used in size and capacity, this 19.600-seater is home to Goose Bay Flames of Quebec Hockey League, as well as Goose Bay Grenadiers of Maritime Hockey League(one of 3 leagues that comprise QMJHL). Due to the city's small size the ticket prices are much cheaper, though only by $15-$25 Quebecois. It is considered the most up-to-standard arenas used in the tournament.

More to come....

~~PROLOUGE~~

Whatever was in there, it was alive. The spasms, the jerks, the minute wriggling only evident upon closer inspection. Although why they were out here, alone, lying on the ground, in this sort of attire, was the real question. It was midday, the heat suffocating, yet here was some man or woman out in the middle of the now dead and burned forest in an armadillo's mascot costume. And they were alive, most definitely. The priest bent over the mascot and examined the insignia on the front. A large H, some sort of ball, a hand. The clergyman had no idea. It could mean anything. There were no doubt several things like this in the olden days.

The priest grabbed the oversized claw-hands that the mascot possessed and yanked, attempting to pry off the upper part of the suit. The body refused to disconnect. He tried again, harder, and suddenly it burst open, the whole upper section of the costume coming apart and separating from the oversized legs, a pair of trainers on the feet. The upper torso of what was inside tore from the lower part, sending a filthy combination of pus, blood and maggots over the brown packed dirt underneath. What was inside was dead, he realised, as the upper body slumped out of the costume and onto the ground, and the maggots were merely creating the illusion of life.

Inside had been a man of maybe twenty or twenty-one, matted brown hair, white skin, although that may have just been death. The eyes were long gone, but the man had a still legible t-shirt on. "Hannibal University Handball Club", the priest deduced, although he was no wordsmith. Hannibal, Hannibal, the priest knew the name. Perhaps the pockets would offer more clues. He fished through the guts, finding a pair of tracksuits now fused to the skin of the legs. A wallet poked its corner out of one of them, and the priest snatched it up.

Inside were some gift cards, one for some cinema with a fancy now faded logo, a credit card with the name D. Sandoza on it, a blood-singed photograph of a young man (Blue eyes), and at the back a note. Some of the writing was just eligible, and didn't make sense.

The Priest stared at it, and decided that he should hold onto it, putting the whole wallet into one of his tunic's pockets. He then left the body where it was as strange almost crow like birds with four wings descended from the skies.

Our team is very aggressive and will not hesitate to start fights, or even crush opponents and officials to death in the case of the enemy crushers, who each weigh over 400 pounds. They will get called for a lot of penalties.

The three McFattels are all related and are all senior team goaltender Fatty "Fatso" McFattel's sons. Furfy is 18, while Fatty Jr. and Fido are 16-year old twins. Furfy is also the backup goaltender on the senior team, but has never played. Buubuu and Hugh are also brothers.

~~ CHAPTER ONE ~~
The Banker

Two red spotlights descended in parallel from the skies, illuminating the deranged crowd assembled round the outside. Arms were flailing, disguisting deranged things covered in burns and blemishes. Jaws were snarled back in grimaces, bared teeth slavering.

There were numerous captives in the centre of it all. A woman with only one eye, desperately praying and pointing her straw-like fingers into the air. Another, an old man coughing up blood, was silent, his head bowed. Then there were the two adolescents, a little bloodied and bruised but with no serious ailments.

"I told you we should never have left. We should have stayed with the plane" whispered the first one.
"Did you not hear the pilot? Transmission's lost." crawed the other one back.
"But Bon, its safer there. We don't know what the hell this place is."
"We're looking for a doctor remember."
"Oh yeah. You think any of these people are doctors?"
"I don't think so. They look insane."

The old man raised his eyebrows, and stared at the two boys. "I was a doctor, years ago. Before..." He paused mid-sentence, his eyes racing across the scenery.
"Before what?" pressed the kid named Bon.
"What do you mean what? Everybody knows the story, either through being there or not."
The two kids looked at each other, a little frightened. Obviously they were not meant to be here.
"You said you were a doctor. Do you think you could help our friends? Some of them are really badly hurt. Coach reckons Rick's fallen into a coma."
"Oh." gawped the elderly gentleman. "I'm afraid I'm not that kind of doctor. I'm a doctor of Media Studies."

The two lights stopped descending and focused on a metal platform in the middle of the room, where a robed, groomed man stood holding a microphone. Around him and the captives were rows of small battered red boxes with numbers blazoned across the front of each. Behind these boxes, and positioned around the room, men in tunics with hoods covering their faces sat and watched on solemnly. The crowd burst into rapturous applause and uproar in equal measure.

"Welcome, welcome!" spoke the man charismatically, the crowd cheering behind him. His 'disciples' stood guard, unmoving, unresponding. "Welcome to today's mass! We welcome the contestants, looking to further their lifes in the pursuit of betterment in the eyes of our God. Let no man get in their way."

"What is all this?" whispered the one called Bon to the 'doctor'.
"You are looking at the celebrated mass of St. Noel. I'm aiming for the jackpot."
"What do you mean jackpot?"

The charismatic leader began to disrobe, revealing a well-kept suit underneath, the fanciest and most untouched item the boys had yet witnessed in this wasteland.

"We welcome our first contestant! Please, give her a hand." Two of the disciples walked over and grabbed the woman roughly, lifting her out of the small, easily escapable pit the captives were kept in. Someone in the crowd threw a hand at her.

"What's your name, missus? Tell us a bit about yourself."
"Francesca Wallis. Before of the alcohol industry, now a runner."
"A runner? ooooh, fancy that." The crowd echoed the oooh, hanging on to the man's every word. "Now, I understand your husband is here today."
"Yes, he is."
"You love him dearly?"
"Of course."
"Well, lets get started. I'm sure you'll meet him later. Lets choose your box and see your first choice. Remember, you have three chances. Then, He will decide for you."

The woman started to stare around at the boxes. "I'll take Box number 7 please."
"oooooh, Seven eh? Well, then lets have a looksy. A disciple walked forward and firmly opened the box. The crowed roared approvingly. "Ooooh, tough luck. Thats the run of the game though."

A tear welled up in her remaining eye. Bon could just see the box. It read "Walrus"

"Why is she crying?" asked the other kid, a lad called Donny. The old man stared at him.
"You really aren't from around here?"
"Our plane crashed."
"Plane? Boy, there haven't been planes in forty years."

The woman had picked a second box, which read "VRex". The crowd roared even more. Another hand was thrown.
"Would the crowd please stop throwing appendages at the contestants? I don't want to phone him. Not yet." The audience went eerily quiet. The woman picked a third box. This one read "Husband's Choice".

"Oh, please no. Not that one." She begun to wail, kicking out. The two robed men restrained her. A screen flicked on, displaying a bloodied body hanging limp from a rotating disc. The chest was limply breathing. Then the phone rang.

The leader walked over to it, pasued, and then picked it up. The crowd was silent. Completely silent. The only sound was the buzz of the lights and the crying of the contestant. Then the leader's face went dark. He looked angry. The charm had left.

In a roar, he shouted "HUSBAND'S CHOICE!" & "WALRUS". The woman was ushered away, and on the screen the man was taken down. Then he was walked away.

"Donny, we got to get out of here."
"I know, Bon, I know." He turned to the doctor. "You gotta help us man."
"I'm sorry. I can't. I just can't."

Edit: Spelling Errors.

To The WJHC Organizing Commitee.

Dear Commitee.

We, The Jeckish Hockey Association, are writing to express our concern for the security of our team and it's fans at the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships in Quebec. As you may recall, the last tournament held in San Jose Guayabal was quite frankly a shambles. There were so many late starts due to quite alarming reasons, involving animals on the pitch (one even refereeing), faeces, and absolutely shocking crowd control. Not to mention the officials poor punctuality.

Then of course there was the Gregoryisgod(althoughreallyheisn't)istan incident.

We are horrified at the events that took place on that day, we were horrified to find that the team was allowed to advance (although not surprised, given the nature of the tournament so far), and are appalled that they are being allowed to compete again.

We urge you to reconsider, or if you will not, at least ensure that the safety of all players, officials and supporters is good. We are deeply concerned and have considered pulling out of the tournament.

Yours,
The Jeckish Hockey Association

OOC: All criticisms are IC and I am not considering pulling out.

Sicoutimont National U20 Hockey Team

We're back. After a third place finish at home, a second place finish in San Jose Guayabal, the U20 team from Sicoutimont returns to play in the 6th edition of these World Junior Hockey Championships. While some of the players from the last tournament have moved on, some remain to help the team play for glory, as they hunt for the gold in the Royal Kingdom of Quebec. Here, once again, is the roster.

MD3: York People vs Sicoutimont, @ Olympia Stadium, Iqaluit

The match circled on everyone's calenders is on matchday 2, between two rivals, Quebec and Sicoutimont. That's the game that everyone in the nation will be watching, and it's entirely possible some members of the Royal Family might attend the game live. All games for the team in the early stages will be played in Iqaluit. Upon arriving at Iqaluit Airport, and leaving the warm comforts of the airport to begin the short walk to the team bus, we polled the players on their initial thoughts of the city. Most responses just said ''Cold'', and rolled up their neckwarmers. Of course, we looked it up, and the city has an average winter temperature of -27. Cold indeed.

Gregoryisgodistan drawn in group with Patistan

Gregoryisgodistan has been drawn into a group with Patistan for the World Junior Hockey Championships. Last tournament, the Junior Ice Slaves crushed to death all of the Patistani players during a game. Gregoryisgodistan went on to win that game, 1-0. It was a glorious moment for the Junior Ice Slaves, finally realizing their dream of crushing an entire team. Once again, the team has been drawn into a group with Patistan. It should really be a fun match. Several Ice Slaves have expressed hopes that they will once again crush the entire Patistani team to death, but it depends on a number of factors. Enemy Crusher in Training Fatty McFattel Jr. told the press, "I would love to crush some more Patistani losers. It will depend on the game situation though. Maybe in a blowout. Probably in a blowout. Not in a close game where we risk penalties if we do not crush the entire team. It should be fun to try though."

Also in Gregoryisgodistan's group are Kolmya and Gallund, neither of which is seen as much of a challenge. Indeed, it would be shocking if Gregoryisgodistan failed to advance out of the group stage. The Junior Ice Slaves will take on Patistan in their opener later tonight, in a game that is sure to be filled with crushings and penalties. The Junior Ice Slaves will surely be looking to attack Patistan again for failing to accept Lord Almighty Gregory as their Lord and Savior after the punishing incident last time. "We will continue to punish Patistan until they accept Lord Almighty Gregory as God," one player told the media as well as a large, angry crowd. "Death to Patistan!"

In other news, Lord Almighty Gregory is adding Patistan to the Enemy List for no other reason than because they had the audacity to return to the Junior Hockey Championship without accepting him as Lord Almighty. "We showed that team what happens when you disrespect us. But they continue to disrespect us, with their flag having the symbol of a heathen religion and them continuing to spite and blaspheme the Church of Gregoryisgodistan. Furthermore, nobody in their country speaks competent English, judging by their press, which would be punishable by stints in Grammar and Spelling Reeducation Camps in this country. We need to teach them a lesson." This means that it is now legal to kill any Patistani in Gregoryisgodistan, except for those who are exempt. This includes visiting sports teams as well as anyone dedicated to overthrowing the Patistani government, though it does not include fans. Anyone who kills a Patistani infidel will receive 1 million Greggygodbucks per dead person. This shows that we reward those who punish the infidels.

Patistan is truly a nation of wicked sinners who do not accept Lord Almighty Gregory even after we punish them repeatedly. They had the nerve to enter the same competition where we killed them all, and to compete in our group, without admitting that Lord Almighty Gregory is God. While that may not seem like reason enough to some people, Lord Almighty Gregory is God so he can do that. We must all trust in his decisions, for God knows best. Death to Patistan!
Gregoryisgodistan, population 75,000,000. All citizens are required to worship Lord Almighty Gregory, our head of state, as a deity.

Nova Anglicana U-20 Hockey Roster

Head Coach: Dominique Culbertson
Style Modifier: +3
Captain: Ricky Knight
Assistant Captains: Theo Shipley, Aksu Koivula

1st Line
RW Ryan Fleming, 19 – Fleming jumped Granger for 1st line honors due to more rounded game, will grow into tall body, little awkward right now
C Theo Shipley, 19 – His skills already evoke comparison with hockey greats, now he has the responsibility to match
LW Ricky Knight, 20 – for Knight, it’s an honor to be made captain, his knack for making just the right pass is already at senior team level

2nd Line
RW Gilles Granger, 20 – Granger is prone to defensive letdowns, preferring to gamble on takeaways, lightning quick
C Dustin Wagner, 19 – Wagner has a good head on his shoulders, prefers to net assists rather than goals, team needs him to balance line's aggression
LW Scotty Gaston, 20 – Gaston’s a spark plug, always aggressive on the forecheck, deadly on the wraparound

3rd Line
RW Austen Ferrier, 20 – Ferrier’s a legitimate goal-scoring threat on the third line, only problem is that he tends to take too many shots
C John Collier, 19 – Collier takes care of the puck and hits hard, earned promotion to 3rd line
LW Clark Reed, 20 – Reed continued his good play in junior leagues, netting 44 points and a spot on the U-20 squad

4th Line
RW Connie Giroux, 18 – Giroux is youngest player on squad, energy and speed guy, used to tire opponent’s worst line,
C Erik Hunter, 18 - Hunter is a banger with a decent passing game, needs to work on his shot
LW Willem De Jong, 19 – De Jong a strong finisher, takes advantage of tiredness that Giroux causes, other facets of game need work

Pair 1
Cyrus Lovett, 19 – family moved to Nova Anglicana from US, team impressed by big body and work ethic, will drop the gloves and fight
Sander van der Zeijden, 20 – this young man is possessed of a wonderful set of instincts and a good offensive skill set, is decent but improving defender,

Pair 2
Nick Perkins, 20 – Perkins is an excellent skater, rarely crossed up, but possesses no handling skills and will only score on some sort of deflection
Cody Giddens, 20 – this converted center needs to learn that he’s a defenseman now, sometimes plays out of position and gets embarrassed

Pair 3
Bo Knudsen, 18 - Knudsen is an extremely hard worker who will fiercely protect his teammates and clear people out from in front of the goal
Kristof Ridenour, 18 - a German immigrant, Ridenour is still learning English, but like Knudsen, is a hard worker; good reaction time

Goaltenders
Aksu Koivula, 19 – young Finn émigré gets his shot at first-string goalie
Blake Burns, 18 - seriously competitive, excellent player but poor teammate

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following...
Choose My Scorers: Yes
Godmod Scoring Events: No
RP Injuries to My Players: No
Godmod Injuries to My Players: No
RP Penalties for My Players: Yes
RP Ejections for My Players: Yes, only Lovett, 'cause he's the fighter
Godmod Other Events: No

Schedule

MD1: Nova Anglicana vs. Arctic Snowlands (Duncan Browne Memorial Coliseum, Labrador City)
MD2: Nova Anglicana vs. Anditia (Duncan Browne Memorial Coliseum, Labrador City)
MD3: Nova Anglicana vs. Jeckland (Duncan Browne Memorial Coliseum, Labrador City)

The Young Lions are an experienced side, having finished 4th (in Quebec) and 3rd (in San José Guayabal) in the past two competitions, and will certainly be on the hunt for a championship in their third go-round. Their group does not look to be terribly tough, as they face first-time competitors Arctic Snowlands and Anditia in their first two matches. Their third match is against Jeckland, who will be competing for the second time, finishing 1-1-1 and losing to eventual champion Frusennia 3-0 in the round of 16. Although Jeckland is a more experienced competitor, they do not have the chops to hang with the veteran Young Lions squad. The important thing will be learning to play well without the stabilizing influence of Dallas Carlson and Todd Ingram, as well as the top defensive pair of Bruce Baker and Matt Washington.

To whom it may concern,

It has come to our attention of many association, including yours, worrying about the security of the team and its fans. It's perfectly understandable by all means. However, I am not worried about this on any means. This is why:

Hockey Quebec is well known for its execution of hockey tournaments effectively and safely in past 80 years. Quebec Hockey League officials are extremely well known for their punctuality, consistency and of course their humors that are often appreciated by many. With the things we have learned from several incidents highlighting the Royal Alexandre Hockey Invitationals and last WJHC, we'll make sure that nothing like a monkey refereeing parts of the game will happen.

With Gregoryisgodistan, the Gregoryisgodistani U-20 National Team was allowed in because there was no specific reason to ban them and there'll be no change of heart done by the Hockey Quebec. Please understand that. While there were some unfortunate incidents back in Royal Alexandre Hockey Invitationals when so-called Enemy Crushers of Gregoryisgodistan crushed 16 fans to death throughout the tournament, we can safely assure you that it was due to our lack of preparation and experiences dealing with them. With WJHC VI, 100 soldiers of local regiment will be dispatched on every Gregoryisgodistani game, in order to maintain civility into this game of hockey and make sure that bloodbath like last edition will not happen again. Should any of them attempts to crush a player to death, any of the soldiers will fire in exchange sans exception.

Thank you for raising the issue and please contact me if there are any concerns.

Sincerely,
Jacques Lemieux,
President, Hockey Quebec

Sorry for not being able to scorinate last night guys. Lately I had some issues with my sleep cycle, which culminated into me falling asleep at 7, only to wake up at 3. Then my laptop was off-limits until now as I fell asleep again, then had to stay in school until now. All the dates for scorination will be pushed back from normal by a day.

That being said, here is your MD1 cutoff after a long delay.
