The error has been fixed, everyone give a MASSIVE thanks to everyone in Esportiva who helped with this error, wouldn't have been fixed without the guidance I got from my region. Matchday 3 will go ahead as planned today, cut-off at 18:00 UTC.

Verines fall in pool play
Rudy Tabata -- THE SARIAN

Despite high hopes, the Verines fell 12-7 to Mytannion during the 17th World Lacrosse Championships in The Sarian.
Grim Talbot looked good on the field, he looked really confident taking some good outside shoots, as well as passing and catching didn't appear to be affected. The assistant captain seems to have fully recovered from the freak shoulder injury that took him out of national play last season. Grim's brother Stephen was workhorse off-ball, crashing the net and setting picks to free up space - everything that you would expect a 6'6" 230 pound big bodied midfielder.
“You learn a lot about your team in a loss. Figuring out what your teammates do when you’re down, and what they are capable of doing when they’re down is key for a young team. Its a learning experience. That’s what championship teams do and what we need to do to win." Coach Mickleson said following the loss. "We played well but not well enough. Our age and lack of experience really showed."
The national team, made up of stars and superstars from the Anditon Indoor Lacrosse League, has largely focused on the indoor game to this point and their inexperience with the field game seems to be a bit apparent. Despite these differences in strategy, the Verines are still hopeful as to their chances in their pool.
"Bronzevought is a good team, but we still have a good chance against them - we held our own against the much more powerful Mytannion, so we should be able to pull this one out. And if we can't, it will still be a learning experience - allowing us to come back stronger next time." Capitan Ronnie Mowl mused.

"Come on boys, we really need the victory here, we need to show everybody that we are back on the scene and this is our sport." Milo Tyrella said, trying to motivate his team ahead of the crunch game against New Koln. The team had put in a fairly dominating performance to beat Anditia, but the poor performance against Bronzevought put doubt into the team's collective mind.

Pavel Mravinsky had inspired the performance, but Maxym Okachachev's comments in the media had been proven correct, Mravinsky suffering a slight niggle to his right hamstring during the game, causing some issues with him sprinting. He was still his creative self however, with four assists and a goal himself for five points on the game. It was Asmir Shalamov that would grab the headlines though, the young forward putting in a stellar performance.

Shalamov scored five on the game and set up one (for Kolev, the pair continuing to work well together). Shalamov shredded the opposition's defence with his speed and rapid interplay, making him a really tough prospect to defend against. Sigi Merz was another given credit for his performance.

The game against New Koln is really important and the whole team knew it, despite being nervous they were quietly confident. If they could qualify from the group stage they could well be on their way to creating some more Mytanar lacrosse history - and they couldn't wait to try and do exactly that.

"Come on boys!" Shouted Arvid Jakobsson as the team started to walk out of the changing room.

Taxachusetts Today

World Lacrosse Championship: Group on the line today

If you need something to take your mind off of the economic problems in our nation, the World Lacrosse Championship is currently in progress in a nation known as The Sarian, a country that has had some rather unpleasant run-ins with those greedy Republicans in the past. Today, Taxachusetts will be facing German Shepherds. A victory over German Shepherds will put Taxachusetts atop Group G, a 3 team group that also contains Island of Pizzas. Coached by Mia Hobbs, this team exemplifies Taxachussan values of gender equality, teamwork and fairness.

Among the fans of the new National Lacrosse Team is President Warren Elizabeth, who is currently attending the World Lacrosse Championship in The Sarian, while he continues to seek the loan that our nation vitally needs to remain afloat for the next few months until we can get back on our feet from this economic crisis that nobody could have foreseen. Our President told Taxachusetts Today that, "I am a fan of what Coach Hobbs is doing. We are a nation that believe in equality, cooperation and fairness. I appreciate being able to watch a team represent our great People's Republic that meets our goal of being as inclusive of women as possible. Their exceptional sportsmanship on the field exemplifies the same values that motivated me to pass legislation to ensure that the wealthiest Taxachussans pay their fair share. The only way I could be more proud of this team would be if they won the World Lacrosse Championship."

Today is the 3rd and final day of the group stage at the World Lacrosse Championship. The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the Round of 16, to be held tomorrow. From there, the tournament will proceed under single elimination rules until a champion has been determined.

"A win wasn't enough"

The LRI Lacrosse Team got the true results today, but it still wasn't enough to advance to the Round of 16. They did beat The Sarian 14-9 in what could've been the savior of them. But alas, they come up short finishing 4th, but tied for 3rd in Group A. The LRI had 1 win and 2 losses, coming from New West Guiana and St. Wilhelm.

"We're only going to get better from here. It has shown that we have made much improvement since we began training for this Tournament. Now we learn from this and move forward and hopefully will only make us Stronger for WLC 18." Coach Swifty Drift after the win.

"We played hard and I'm happy of how we played, it's disappointing that we were a point short. It's devastating but I know we're going to get better." Thunderstruck commented.

Prince Alex Gray left a message saying, "Congrats on all the hard work Lacrosse Team. You make us proud. Keep up the Good Work."

Group H In Review Part One

In what looked to be one of the most competitive groups in the tournament, unexpected miracle(s) spurred for some, but not for others. Two of the three teams were Grand Duchies (the best form of government by far). Two of the teams were veterans at the sport and cultivated a rich history of the tournament into the hearts of their population, the other was an upcoming rookie that sought to shift the balance. The final result would bring shock and disbelief to many who saw it.

Teams Going In:

ALLAMUNNIC STATES (Fanboyists) VOLUNTEERS

Being broken up for many years may have proved costly for the newly reformed team. After an absence of three years from the world championships (before of which, the sport was prosperous throughout the country, and their teams tended to be dominant to say the least, winning some world cups and earning high ranks), Frank McDowell, whom was former head coach of the national team and was known for his aggressive play, was reinstalled as head coach of the Volunteers. The team looked to be mainly offensive oriented, but yet still very well balanced.

NASSAU HESSEN EAGLES

This is the first year for the Red and Purple. Hoping to turn the tables and to be the surprise team of the tournament, the Eagles can pack a punch to the veterans they will go up against. Having prepared a full roster in anticipation for this tournament, the team vigorously practiced beforehand, providing the important trait of chemistry to the team. The nation was thrilled to see their very first lacrosse team be fielded in the World Cup. They have adapted a defensive style of play, preferring crafted counter attacks and break-outs over brute straight up attacking. All in all, this team seems unpredictable.

THE LICENTIAN ISLES CYAN AND GOLD

This country also has a history to this tournament. Having been in this before, this country knows how to handle this tournament. This team is ready to re-enter the world of lacrosse with high hopes. This team seems to be quite even offensively and defensively, a good mix for any team.

The Stadium:

OAKHURST STADIUM

This is by far the best venue on the list in many people's opinions. Seating the most people, it was believed to be packed for all of the divisional games it hosted, giving the teams whom play in it a huge boost of morale and awe for its massiveness. It also contains a retractable roof for whatever weather. It will host a Groups D and H, seeds (1 and 16) and (8 and 9) in the round of sixteen, match 1 in the quarter finals, and the finals themselves to close the grand tournament.

Anditia beats Bronzevought but fails to advance.
Rudy Tabata - THE SARIAN

"For our first go at a the Worlds, I'd have to say we did well," Verines coach Mike Mickleson commented following their 10-9 win against Bronzevought during what turned out to be their final game of pool play during the 17th World Lacrosse Championship. "We'll be back next time... and I think our boys will have improved."

Good luck to all of those competing the rest of the way out.

Avatarian LACROSSE, in cooperation with the National Sports Council, seeking to expand the cultural reach of Lacrosse with Gyatso-kai, as formally submitted a team to compete in the Seventeenth Edition of the World Lacrosse Championship.

While having been an officially sanctioned sport within Gyatso-kai for half a decade, Avatarian LACROSSE never put forward the necessary number of signatures to become a Council-funded sport. In fact, the 'professional' lacrosse league in Gyatso-kai --- The Avatarian Lacrosse League (ALL) --- is a fledgling attempt at professional sports; with just six teams in Gyatso-kai, one team in the Colony of Yu Dao, and the eighth coming from Concord Dusk, the ALL pales in comparison to the most recent professional league in both number of teams, attendance, and corporate sponsorships.

"We are still young," General Manager Jaster Heluks spoke in an interview at the Media Day for the National Lacrosse Team. "We have done a few exhibition games amongst the other teams of the LLG as well as a few collegiate games, so I am comfident we are ready to face the world."

Despite the very limited funding, the National Team --- Nicknamed The Eelhounds, after the incredibly fast creatures of the same name who inhabit the Southern Swamps of the Earth Kingdom --- shall represent our Nation in much the same manner that the Bisons and the Ice Bisons have in both football and hockey. In the grand scheme of things, the Eelhounds are hoping to set a precedent for other more-youthful leagues in the Avatarian Republics to eventually press onto the Multiverse Stage and compete amongst the world's greatest teams in their respective sports.

As has almost become expected for multiverse sports, GyatsoAir --- in partnership with the ALL, the National Sports Council, and wealthy sporting tycoon Varrick Hesugh --- have further reduced the prices of airline tickets to The Sarian to facilitate the spectatorship of our national team's first competition. In addition, each game the Eelhounds play in shall be aired on the entire ASPN family of networks (ASPN Prime, ASPN2, AVS, ASPN3, UASPN): All other games shall air on the World Sports Nation and World Sports Nation PLUS, which are being made available on all television and internet-provider services at NO COST from now until the conclusion of the World Lacrosse Championships.

Roal D. Crushenko Stadium

Constructed in 2005.2, the Roal D. Crushenko Stadium serves as the first-ever Lacrosse-dedicated stadium in Gyatso-kai. The facility, which includes a 3,500-seat stadium which runs the length of the game field on both sides, cost roughly 18 million yen, was funded entirely through private donations. Also, the facility contains a pair of practice fields, concession stands, training facilities, locker rooms for both the home and visiting teams, as well as concessions for fans.

General Manager: Jaster HELUKS
Height: 188cm – Weight: 81kg – Age 53 years old
A former award-winning collegiate goalkeeper, Jaster Heluks has had a bit of rough career since college. Fulfilling the National Service requirement right after graduation, Heluks did not start his professional career in lacrosse until 1984.1, when the Lacrosse League of Gyatso-kai was entering its 15th Anniversary Season. Being drafted second overall put Heluks into the Tonsob Cannons, where he would play as starting keeper until the LLG folded in 1992. At 32-years-old and with three championships under his belt, it seemed only natural for Heluks to enter the world of collegiate coaching; taking his first job at Adirolf State, he would lead the team to 0-13, soon losing the job. Unemployed for a couple of years, Heluks would again attempt to enter coaching, this time as Coach for University of Omashu. A five-year contract would see him leave UO 43-22, four Avatarian Lacrosse Conference championships and a single ACSA championship in 1999.2 and taking a new job as Head of Development for Avatarian LACROSSE, where after nearly eight years, he found himself appointed the General Manager of the National team. Now, six years into his career, he has finally convinced the National Sports Council to give the Eelhounds a chance...

Head Coach: BAN Pak Min
Height: 165cm – Weight: 57kg – Age 38 years old - Team: New Beijing Lizards,

A young coach in her second year at New Beijing, Ban Pak Min garnished the treasured position of the Head Coach for the National team. A graduate of the development program at the Royal Fire State University and an eventual graduate from Saigon City College, Ban would go on to play for several exhibition teams at SCC until the formation of the ALL, at which point she would be chosen as the captain for the inaugural season for the New Beijing Lizards. She would retain the captain position until 2010.2 when during the ALL Championship Game, she would suffer a career-ending lower leg break: The video of her being carried off the field in tears would become one of the most tear-jerking in the history of Avatarian sports. Unable to ever play again, Ban settled into the role of Offensive Assistant for her former team until 2013.1 where she would be chosen to replace Boji Hefi after his retirement as the Head Coach.

Three jìniáns later, and Ban has established herself as a leading coach in the league. In the true sense of a player from RFSU, her teams tend to favour the attack over defence, believing it is best to outscore your opponent an keep them in a very physical playstyle reminiscent of meshergoya.

Assistants: Offensive: Aki BANSU, Ki LOPA : Defensive: She'ya VISLA, OLO Ki'pas : Goalkeeping: YONG Lo

When RP'ing, the name of my players in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS AND BOLD are the player's family names. These are the names on their jersey and the name professional commentators would call out when making observations. Also, do not write the names in all capital letters, as this is somewhat annoying when reading; I just imagine someone reading calmly along then suddenly SHOUTING the player's name. For example, if writing about FENG Shaoli making a long shot, one would write "Feng made a long shot..." as opposed to "FENG made a long shot..." If you have any further questions regarding names, please feel free to telegram me.

Starting players will have their names in GREEN type
Alternate players will have their names in BLUE type
Reserve Players will have their names in STANDARD type.

Goalkeepers

1- KANG Ch'in
Height: 183cm - Weight: 78kg – Age: 23 years old - Team: University of Omashu
Known for taking excessive risks when they need not be taken, playing on the edge of the crease and then darting back when an attacker advances, Kang is a strong player. However, with his strength and luck, he lacks age and thus, experience. When questioned as to why Ban chose a collegiate player over the likes of the more-seasoned veterans who make up the reserve corps, she simply said, "Fortune favours the bold". Let us hope Kang's luck holds out.
Rating: B+ - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: C – Skill: 0.820

21- KUROTA Takahasi
Height: 183cm - Weight: 100kg - Age: 26 years old - Team: Adirolf BLAST
A more reserved player, Kurota was originally set to take over as starting keeper for the Norg Bral Predators. However, in 2013.2, the Predators went under, with many of the players finding themselves suddenly unemployed. However, luckily for Kurota, an opening for a backup keeper in Adirolf was available and he soon took the long trip from NOrg Bral to the southern provinces. Developing well in the years spent both at Republic City State University as well as two jìniáns as Adirolf's starter, Kurota was expected to be chosen as the starting keeper for the Eelhounds.

However... She chose Kang.
Rating: A- - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B+ – Skill: 0.895

31- SEIRYUU Yoshikazu
Height: 188cm - Weight: 91kg - Age: 19 years old - Team: Heibai University
A very young keeper, Seiryuu was brought onto the team to simply provide development potential for later years should the National Lacrosse "experiment" go well. A strong physique bought through countless years of training, Seiryuu has the makings of a very strong keeper; one the National team will likely keep around for the coming years. Will he get any playing time this Championship?

Probably not...
Rating: B- - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: C – Skill: 0.760

Defenders
2 - YU Kwan Tin
Height: 188cm - Weight: 96kg - Age: 27 years old - Team: Tonsob Cannons
Position: Left Defender

Just three years into his professional career and already Yu Kwan Tin has won two Semaj Ashek Awards (given to the defensive player with the greatest all-around ability in the position). Being drafted first overall in the 2010.2 Draft to Tonsob, Yu has continued to develop as a strong physical defenceman known for hitting his opponents hard and staying in his area of the field; locking down opponents who try and get the upper hand.
Rating: B+ - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B – Skill: 0.885

3 - TAKAKI Keiji - ASSISTANT CAPTAIN
Height: 198cm - Weight: 106kg - Age: 28 years old - Team: Big Tree Vipers
Position: Central Defender

The biggest defender --- and player --- on the team, Takaki Keiji is an impressive beast. Originally, he went to University of Kibago on a Hockey Scholarship, but surprised everyone when after just one season, he announced he would be giving up that free ride and instead playing on the school's Division II Lacrosse team. Naturally, since many hockey players cross-train in lacrosse, he was already a natural in the game, it was just a matter of time before he would find himself being approached for a career in the ALL. Playing for the most impressive team in the Western Conference, Takaki continues to set himself apart from the other defenders ; strong stick-handling skills, explosive running, always on the edge when his team is on the attack. All strong qualities that the Eelhounds will likely need in this tournament.
Rating: A- - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A – Skill: 0.875

4 - CHAN Tin'evin
Height: 175cm - Weight: 79kg - Age: 22 years old - Team: University of the Southern Tribes
Position: Right Defender

From the largest in the centre to the smallest on the right, Chan Tin'evin is surely a sight to see: A whole twenty-three centimetres shorter and over twenty kilos lighter, you would not expect sure a player to be pivotal in the defence of the Eelhounds. However, you can expect to see an impressive air game, with Chan leaping for many a pass that would sail by less-quick hands. His skills at catching the ball and shifting it up-field are second to none, and this is still a player who has two years left at UST under the tutelage of one of the greatest defenceman to ever play the game; Liao Dabal. Sure, you won't see Chan check an opponent or muscle his way through the offence. However, you will see that air game, and the attackers for the Eelhounds are very adept at catching the long pass.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: B – Skill: 0.860

22 - SO Chenyi
Height: 188cm - Weight: 83kg - Age: 19 years old - Team: Kyoshi State University
Position: Left Defender

Coming from a college not really known for its lacrosse players, So Chenyi is a bit of a shocker on the National Team: While his stick-handling skills are very well developed, his physical abilities seem to be lacking. Knwon to explode out of the gate when the play begins, So runs out of fuel rather quickly and it takes a bit of time to refuel.
Rating: C+ - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: C – Skill: 0.765

23 - YEUNG Gatou
Height: 191cm - Weight: 92kg - Age: 21 years old - Team: Royal Earth University
Position: Central Defender

Yeung Gatou is the strongest defenceman in the reserve, playing for one of the top Division I lacrosse schools in the ACSA. Very technical in the execution, Yeung simply needs a strong coach to keep him going in the right direction.
Rating: B+ - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: A – Skill: 0.765

32 - KUNIHIRO Ishikawa
Height: 194cm - Weight: 96kg - Age: 22 years old - Team: Lenape Tribals
Position: Right Defender

Seemingly a better match for Takaki Keiji, Kunihiro Ishikawa was not able to beat out Chan Ten'evin out for the right starting defender. Nonetheless, Kunihiro continues to show the utmost in professionalism, as well as an unmatched desire to improve his game. Granted, Kunihiro does play for the Lenape Tribals --- known more for skill than aggression --- which is evident in his ability spread out attackers and keep the formations open.

Midfielders

5 - TOMO Junjie - ASSISTANT CAPTAIN
Height: 185cm - Weight: 88kg - Age: 24 years old - Team: Unsigned (2013.2)
Position: Offensive Midfielder

Tomo Junjie is a tank in the midfield; solid build, a cannon of a arm, and the abilities to simply march over his teammates. Given his height and his arm reach, his shots are very quick and his ability to close the gap between the net and himself are second to none. Currently an unsigned free agent after spending three years with the Rev'ned Mercs, Tomo has stayed in shape and in form by training with his close personal friend Coach Bing Baishen of the Mectouma Monarchs and even joining the team for several practices.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A – Skill: 0.895

6 - MASAKUNI Yunyori
Height: 185cm - Weight: 92kg - Age: 26 years old - Team: Big Tree Vipers
Position: Offensive Midfielder

Whereas Tomo seeks to quickly grab a passing ball and send it upfield, Masakuni Yunyori is more adept at knocking a ball free, stealing it away, and barreling his way to victory. The same height as Tomo, Masakuni does possess quite a bit of muscle and uses it to fit into the aggressive style of play Ban loves to use. A very accurate shot, if there was any area Masakuni could use work on is his passing; he does seem to sometime fumble a catch and nearly lose the team possession, however, he is very quick to recover.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: B – Skill: 0.825

7 - NGHIỆP Dũng Rong
Height: 191cm - Weight: 100kg - Age: 23 years old - Team: Big Tree Vipers
Position: Defensive Midfielder

A team mate of Masakuni, it came as no surprise that the coaches would chose Nghiệp to fill out the starting midfielders. While he has been practicing his passing game and trained to strengthen his ball-handling, he unfortunately has not garnished much game time on the National stage due to obligations to his club back in Big Tree. As such, his relationship with the rest of the team is a bit stressed; causing him to often back silently away from conflict which of course translates into his game.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: C - Morale: A- - Form: A – Skill: 0.810

25 - TATSUHIRO Hiraku
Height: 180cm - Weight: 81kg - Age: 18 years old - Team: University of Omashu
Position: Defensive Midfielder

The youngest member of the Midfielders, Tatsuhiro Hirakua is still developing as a player. A defensive midfielder from the University of Omashu, Tatsuhiro is known, not for his physical play, but more for his technical; a good eye on the field, strong stick-handling abilities, and the arms to pass the ball to anyone on the field.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: B – Skill: 0.805

35 - Odili CHIBUGO
Height: 184cm - Weight: 94kg - Age: 17 years old - Team: Heibai University
Position: Defensive Midfieler

The youngest player on the Eelhounds, Odili Chibugo is not ready for any playtime on the multiverse stage. Rough around the edges, Chibugo is a diamond waiting to be refined; strong athleticism, quick thinking on his feet, and the physical strength to push through even the toughest of defenders, Chibugo will one day anchor the midfield of the top professional teams. Until then, he will continue to develop both at home and abroad.
Rating: B- - Team Relationship:B - Morale: B - Form: B – Skill: 0.785

35 - UKAEGBULAM Weijing
Height: 182cm - Weight: 82kg - Age: 19 years old - Team: Roku University
Position: Defensive Midfieler

With natural talent, Ukaegbulam Weijing rounds out the midfield corps. While he is far from being able to enter the professionals, Ukaegbulam is a very determined player whose enthusiasm is unmatched. However, what he is missing is refinement, something he shares with Chibago. Unlikely to play, Ukaegbulam is on the team to gain invaluable experience amongst the best his nation has to offer.

Forwards

8 - LEUNG Chishing - CAPTAIN
Height: 189cm - Weight: 92kg - Age: 27 years old - Team: New Beijing Lizards
Position: Forward (Tends to Left)

In his prime after his third triple-point season, Leung Chising is set to be the main scoring member of the Eelhounds. Known for his stamina and sniper-like accuracy, Leung has the stick-handling and physical strength to muscle through even the most thick of enemies and hit the back of the net without so much as breaking a sweat. In the tradition of the NB Lizards, Leung is known for his bright neon green crosse heads with the black pocket strings.
Rating: A+ - Team Relationship: A+ - Morale: A - Form: A+ – Skill: 0.910

9 - SIU Ho'van
Height: 178cm - Weight: 78kg - Age: 21 years old - Team: University of the Northern Tribes
Position: Forward (Tends to Centre)

Brought onto the national team alongside his teammate Wong Chun Hong, Siu Ho'van continues to hold the traditional role of the Centre-forward; open up the field and get the ball to his right or left. While he certainly can hold his own in a scoring contest, he is quite content in piling up the assists and still getting to celebrate the goal. A very well-rounded player who started his collegiate career as an offensive midfielder at UNT, Siu has grown into a rather effective forward.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: B – Skill: 0.880

10 - WONG Chun Hong
Height: 190cm - Weight: 82kg - Age: 24 years old - Team: University of the Northern Tribes
Position: Forward (Tends to Right)

Along with his teammate Siu Ho'van, Wong Chun Hong rounds out the Forward starting line-up. Fast on his feet, Wong compliments Siu very well; whereas Siu is happy in the support role, Wong lives for the goal. Not to mention, having played with Siu since high school, the two have developed a synergy which is hard to beat.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A – Skill: 0.875

28 - CHEUK Fungwin
Height: 180cm - Weight: 82kg - Age: 29 years old - Team: Tonsob Cannons
Position: Forward (Tends to Right)

Cheuk Fungwin is the "veteran" of the Forwards; a shy two years separates Cheuk from the next-oldest member and nine from the youngest. Just a bit past the prime of a Avatarian athlete, Cheuk can still carry himself well through the game with younger players nipping at his heels. He knows the game well, and as such can predict his opponents' moves immaculately. However, with all this experience, Ban decide yet again to go with a younger, more reliable player than put her money on the veteran.

29 - Grunnil JIDEOFOR
Height: 184cm - Weight: 87kg - Age: 24 years old - Team: Rev'ned Mercs
Position: Forward (Tends to Right)

Drafted in the second round, Grunnil Jideofor has proven to be a valuable asset to the Rev'ned Mercs. An explosively physical player, Jideofor at times can be terrifying with the ball; a scoring nightmare for opponents who rarely doesn't leave a game without at least two goals. However, while he is great on the physical play, he does at times make mistakes that most players his age would never do: Perhaps due to his nature, he takes the unnecessary risks for what he sees as a "game changer" an often will shift the tide the wrong direction.
Rating: A- - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A – Skill: 0.840

40 - RUSTAZH Kerlaa
Height: 188cm - Weight: 85kg - Age: 20 years old - Team: Keldabe State University
Position: Forward (Tends to Centre)

Foreign-born Rustazh Kerlaa spent his childhood abroad in Waverly PL until his Avatarian-born mother brought him back to Gyatso-kai when he was 15. Developing in Waverly PL gives Rustazh some very unique "oddities" when compared to native-born players; a more passive play-style, a knack for running more than passing, and terrible accuracy over long distances. All these traits are sure to put Rustazh in the "Less-Likely To Play" category.

Some YouTube Ranter's Views on The Serbian Empire's Tournament Chances and Pwitter

The Serbian Empire has gone undefeated in Group Play and resembles the team which finished 3rd in WLC 15. The one in WLC 14 was far more erratic in win margin and not as overpowered. Of course, the performance from game to game can be overpowering most of the time, but even the best teams can't win them all. Hopefully, it will be far deeper in the tournament for the loss or maybe a letdown in WLC 18. Pwitter has some dreadfully comedic quotes if you ask me as a journalist as it's not unlike the YouTube videos about Onision. Pwitter might be worth a chance for my next rant.

GAME DAY ONE
Final Score: Volunteers 6 21 Cyan And Gold

One of the shockers of the tournament. The Cyan And Gold shone, crushing the Vols by a final score of twenty one (yes, you heard that right, more than twenty) to six. The game started out with a four to nothing lead halfway into the first until Cassie Downing ended the dry spell from a long end to end pass by Dahlgreen. The quarter ended with three more for the Cyan And Gold and two more for the Volunteers, a breakaway goal for Downing again, and a tricky between the legs goal by number eighteen, Joanna Sommers. During the second quarter, the Cyan continued the onslaught with eight more goals. The Allamunnae responded with two meager goals, one was an impressive long shot from Zak Mueller and the other was a quick one by Sommers again. The score going into the half was fifteen to five. The third quarter came soon, the least eventful quarter, with one goal from Downing to complete a hat trick and three from the Cyan and Gold. After the intermission between the halves, the final goals were counted (none of them from the Vols this quarter) and the final score was made. This game was on the Sarian TV network.

GAME DAY THREE
Final Score: Cyan And Gold 14 15 Eagles

The final controversial game of group play was a doozie. The Eagles were in trouble after losing to the Vols in a shoot out (I imply that there were many shots, not an actual hockey-like shoot out) thirteen to ten, the Eagles had no choice but to win. The Cyan And Gold just as equally wanted to secure a spot on top of their division to get good positioning for the next round. The game started out solid for both defenses, with the first goal being let in five minutes into the period. The first two goals went to Kevin D. Kibler, the team captain and prospect for the All-Stars match. The Licentian Isles would respond with three straight goals, two of which they got in the first quarter and the other was near the beginning of the second. After a quick goal by Right Forward Neill T. Dugger, the Isles made a small offensive sprout lasting for a few minutes resulting in two goals. Nassau ended the half on a positive note however, with a sprinting goal from reserve midfielder number three, Paul M. Johnson. Coming out of the half, Nassau Hessen was down five to four, a remarkably low scoring game at that point. The scoring routes for both teams started twenty seconds in with a spectacular shot from the corner by Anthony B. Reyes. After three impressive consecutive goals by The Licentian Isles, Eagles forward Kevin D. Kibler proceeded to make two more consecutive goals within three minutes. The Red and Purple then scored two more, one from offensive reserve Robert P. Grear, and a blazing shot from Dugger that skimmed the ear of the Licentian goalie. The Licentian Isles responded with two more goals by the same scorer. To finish off the half, Kevin D. Kibler athletically made a sprinting breakaway goal which left the score ten to nine entering the final quarter. The teams scored back and forth at a pace of about two minutes in between goals. The streak started thirty three seconds in with a strategic passing play by the Cyan And Gold. The next goal came from Hessian midfielder Henry M. Evans on a rebound. The Licentians scored again, proceeded by a goal from Reyes, his second of the day. Another quick goal was scored right after Reyes by the Cyan And Gold, followed by an end to end goal by Neill T. Dugger to complete his hat trick. The Eagles scored again, this one by Paul M. Johnson with a great deke. The Licentian Isles scored another in a centering pass, however afterwards their luck seemed to run out. Kevin D. Kibler scored again with a powerful shot with two and a half minutes left in the game. The tying goal came from Howard K. Beliveau (who re substituted Paul M. Johnson). Finally, with thirty five seconds to go, Kevin D. Kibler completed a double hat trick to go ahead. The Cyan And Goal viciously fought to the last second, having a shot come off the post, but in the end, the Hessians advanced.

Knox Valley goes 1-3 in lacrosse tournament

Despite the sport of LaCrosee being mostly a sport watched and performed by upper and middle class Marianians, the Knox Valley Sports Federation sent a team of what they thought were it's best and brightest. The result wasn't pretty but it was a learning experience for both the team, and the thousands of KV Residents that had never really seen or experienced LaCrosse.

The Game of the Tourny for KV had to be the thrilling 13-9 win over a Gyatso-kai team that had over-matched the Vols easily and took out a 8-5 half time lead, but then the defense kicked in and KV out-scored Gyatso-kai 8-1 in the second half including a 6-0 run within 12 minutes.

While the effects of this tournament on the Lacrosse landscape in Knox Valley LaCrosse, we do know a good time was had by all!.

Well it appears that the team responded well to Coach La Heuys' uh, um speech about how failure this time is not an option and will and shall not be tolerated. La Heuy for the first time in two editions allowed a press coverage:

La Heuy So for some time now the press has been doing nothing but whining and crying that I wouldn't do any press conferences, so here it is, i'll only answer your question if I deem is worthy, which means no asking about rumors.
AP Coach, is it true that after this season you will step down as the West Guiana Lacrosse coach?
La Heuy I don't know, that question comes from a rumor and I said no rumor questions, next.
Gemsbrook Journal Coach this win against Darmen, what are your thoughts?
La Heuy Darmen was a nice test since our first game against the host, but but our offense play must step up, defenses have been beating our weak offense at every level. But our defensive play hasn't been the best either, we've given up many big leads late in the game and during the knock-out rounds we can not keep making these types of mistakes.
National Press Your thoughts on the up coming game against Cosmar?
La Heuy they have been historically a very well equipped team, they haven't though made much noise over the time they've been here. But i do expect them to make some noise and cause trouble, we must play our top game and come ready for anything. I know that sounds very generic and many coaches have said the same stuff over time, but that is what is needed to win games.
Sports Channel Right now the SCN has the Serbian Emipre with a 89% chance at winning their third title in five editions while West Guiana is at only 33%.
La Heuy Well, the Seribians have dominated since their debut in World Lacrosse Championships 13 and have continued that, but have since slummed since, but our goal like all the other teams is to win the title and even if we're an under dog by a long shot, so be it. Thank you for your questions this conference is over.

So there you have it, La Heuy gets upset over the first question and shows right off the bat that he wont talk about his future with WG Lacrosse. He is only worrying about the next game and from his attitude and was still upset about the first question. The rumors about his health maybe true as a local doctor said that his overall behavior while walking shows signs of early stages of arthritis, he has been shown he's been having trouble walking up steps and several occasions has instead opted to taking a ramp or elevator while moving up only a few steps or one floor. All this is only speculation, but the doctor we talked to has over fifteen years of working with those who suffer from arthritis and the signs he says are right there, the doctor is unsure how long La Heuy may have been suffering from the illness, but he believes he's gone diagnosed for some years.

Next Game:
West Guiana (3-1-0) vs Cosmar (3-0-1)
Domestic sports leagues

NS is just a state of mind, time has no boundary nor does our sanity.

Please ignore my senseless ramblings, I'm getting old.

4-0, Patistan Decimated 13-3

Decimation would be a great description of the win as ten is deci- and winning by ten goals and limiting the opponent to three scores is true domination of Patistan's lacrosse team. The same stingy defense was present and the offense has been unremarkable but steady. The offense is truly fearsome in potency by having scored nine more goals than any other team in group play and winning the average matchup by 13 in group play. At this point, the goal difference is 50 goals in four games which leaves the average win margin by an impressive 12.5 goals a game. 64 goals over the same span is also impressive as that is 16 goals a game. Mytannion has similar offense with 59 goals scored, but defense is not as impressive as 38 goals allowed is nearly three times the Serbian Empire goal allowed average of a miserly 3.5 goals allowed per game, or 14 goals. Six goals a game is a great deal of difference, but each game is different and the results may not match up to the analysis that I have produced.

IOPN NEWS (ISLAND OF PIZZAS NEWS)

Mr cheese reporting from the sarian

Well mister Pepperoni we have qualified for the round of 8 we beat Nassaue-Hussain 4-21 a span of 16 points, this score is the biggest score for a team in the round of 16.This shows that Island of pizzas should be considered as a potential Finalist or a semi-finalist,our next match is against the Sarian the hosts of the lacrosse Championship, even though we are playing the host we will still have support because they are alot of pizzans living in this area of the sarian and they will hopefully come to support our team. In the whole compeition we have lost only one match and that was against Taxachusetts who have lost in the round of 16 so we can say now that we are the best team in group G. Hopefully we will win the next match and advance to the Semi-finals

Maria Erman: Hello, it's Maria Erman here in The Sarian for Novosti Sporta's coverage of the World Lacrosse Championships. We're here at Oakhurt Stadium in Setter and there's apparently going to be a packed out stadium for this quarter final match-up between possibly the two best lacrosse teams in the world right now, the Serbian Empire and Mytannion. Over thirty thousand fans are rumoured to be packing into the largest purpose built arena in the country and some Mytanars are arriving already, the characteristic flags and flares being waved and lit in the stadium now, nearly half an hour before the start of the game. I'm here with Maxym Okachachev and Adem Bucek, hi guys.

Adem Bucek: Hello Maria!

Maxym Okachachev: Hey Maria.

Maria Erman: So guys, what do you think of these two teams today?

Maxym Okachachev: I would agree with what many are saying, these are probably the two best teams right now. Granted, Mytannion may not have been involved in the World Championships for a few years and the Serbian Empire aren't the biggest name in world sport - but in this sport, these two are great powers and are renowned for their playing styles. I hate the fact that I wasn't around when the Serbian Empire were on the scene, I would have loved to play against them.

Adem Bucek: Statistically speaking, there's nothing we can prove. Both are great offensively and the Serbian Empire are great defensively, in that respect, the Serbian Empire are arguably better, they don't concede too many goals. Mytannion are inexperienced defensively, which is probably behind that, but you have to look at more than statistics here and there's no doubting that both are simply fantastic teams with some truly excellent players.

Maria Erman: Milo Tyrella has come in for some criticism recently, particularly in the print media, for his on-the-fly, roll-on roll-off substitutions, what do you guys make of that?

Adem Bucek: Well, as a member of the Associated Press, I'd just like to say that I resent the fact that some of my colleagues at other organisations are making such poor judgements - obviously there's freedom of speech and all that, but when people make such ridiculous comments it's sometimes hard to agree with that. I think it's a load of rubbish to be honest, it's a good tactic, it may be a bit radical, a bit too new for many to comprehend fully, but it definitely has its benefits.

Maxym Okachachev: I have to say, with all due respect Adem, I have to agree with them. The substitutions are just too... disruptive, almost. They get in the way and don't allow the team any real continuity. The team starts and then in four or five minutes, three players are off. Three players come on and have to get used to the pace of the game and have to get a few touches of the ball to get into the game, it's far too disruptive. It doesn't allow players to play and it nearly cost them a game against Estope, only when Mravinsky, Shalamov and the rest played for an extended time they went on an 8-2 run and ended up going from just 11-10 up to winning 19-12, by a clear margin.

Adem Bucek: Come on! No way. It allows the players to stay healthy and free of injuries, it's scientifically proven to be a good tactic for keeping key players injury-free for the big games. They now have Shalamov and Mravinsky healthy for possibly the biggest game of the tournament and that means they'll have a great chance to win the game.

Maxym Okachachev: I can't believe that the science behind it is always correct, I mean, this is a sport which is all about the players and their determination and will to win, more often than not that's the key thing, not all this science stuff about players only playing as much as they need to. Obviously big injuries will get in the way, but players can play through a lot of stuff if they want to win that badly.

Maria Erman: A heated topic of discussion certainly, do you agree with the idea that these two teams actually are the best in the world then, Adem?

Adem Bucek: I'm not so sure really. The Serbian Empire are definitely up there, but you have to remember that there are a lot of great teams in this sport, Sarzonia are up there and they haven't even entered this tournament. Others have been knocked out early, like the Licentian Isles, but we do know that Mytannion are a big team in this sport and they have a lot of history. They may just be a little too weak defensively to be considered a team that is top two in the world.

Maxym Okachachev: Well, I don't know. It's like Adem says, they are a top side, but again, defensively we're not at our strongest right now. We also lost against Bronzevought, a team absolutely nobody had heard of coming into this tournament. The Serbian Empire haven't exactly faced any real top teams as far as I'm concerned, but neither have Mytannion. I can see this game being an absolute rollercoaster, goals going in at both ends at great speed and a lot happening all in all. If they put on a show, one of the top two in the world may go out in this game.

Maria Erman: So you think they might be, Maxym?

Maxym Okachachev: Yeah, but they both need to prove it. Mytannion need to show they can defend against a top, top attack and the Serbian Empire need to show that they can play against a top-level side that can overcome adversity, rather than the minnows they've faced so far.

Cutoff, results will be edited into this post shortly.

The Serbian Empire 9–9 Mytannion (10–11 OT)
Torisakia 12–8 Bronzevought
Cosumar 6–18 New West Guiana

If a New West Guiana requests a third party scorinator, I am happy to find someone.

Congratulations and good luck to all teams who reached the semi final, commiserations to those who didn't.
