GAFA IV

Image

Welcome to the Everything thread for the GAFA IV season. This is the location where you will post rosters, RP (for the rp bonuses), and view results from your games.

Each conference will consist of 8 teams. You will play 10 inner-conference games (some teams will be played twice) and 5 outer-conference. Afterwards the top 4 teams in the conference will advance to the playoffs. 1st and 4th seed will play each other and 2nd and 3rd seeds will face off. Winners advance to Conference Championship and then to the GAFA Prime Bowl. Losers of Conference Championship will play a 3rd place match.

Games will be scorinated every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday starting Sunday September 8. RP cutoffs will be around 5pm EST on the next day.

RP & Scorination (Scorination done by Royal Kingdom of Quebec): RPs will be graded from 0-5 (Rosters will be graded from 0-8), and will be cumulative. Teams that miss RPing will have their
total degrade .75 for each missed matchday.

How could I let this happen?

I had done it time and time again, and yet today, with the game on the line, I couldn't hit that extra point. Why? What happened?

I swear my foot was in good position, I got a good running start. Maybe the snap wasn't good, maybe the hold wasn't good. Whatever it was, my shot hooked, and it's my fault.

I've watched the tapes time and time again, and I still can't see what I did wrong. Perhaps my foot was twisted, I don't know. Whatever the case may be, it missed.

All I had to do was put it through the uprights and it would be good. We'd go into overtime. But no. I missed. I had to miss.

I let my teammates down. We wanted to start out our first season in GAFA with a win. On a high note. But it's all my fault. I let them down.

Maybe we'll do better next game.

--

Above are the thoughts of kicker Jason Drake.
Also, if you are participating in WB XXI and GAFA IV like I am, you may have noticed that the rosters are the same. However, things that happen in one event do not happen in the other. For example, my starting QB got hurt in WB XXI yesterday, but he's still playing in GAFA (I'm assuming these are being played at different times in my RPing even though IRL they aren't.

Scoring Summary:

QBC: 21-yard pass from Quarterback to Wide Receiver (Kicker PAT Good)
NW: 3-yard Manzera run (Drake PAT good)
NW: Domanech interception returned for a TD (Drake PAT good)
QBC: Kickoff returned 99 yards for a TD (Kicker PAT good)
QBC: 5-yard pass from Quarterback to Wide Receiver (Kicker PAT good)
NW: 33-yard pass from Goldberg to Davis (Drake PAT missed)

Well, that was a quick turnaround.

Last game, I lost the game for us. Today, I won it. How fascinating.

My work between games has paid off. So many accuracy drills. But I finally figured it out.

Two field goals from me were the only points scored.

But now, moving on: What happened to our offense?

As I improved, they disappeared. Why?

All I can say is, I hope they show up ready to play next game.

the Levivania team's record was a solid 2 and 1. They had a great victory 21-3 QB Mike Munchster threw 2 touchdowns, and Larry Goldrin rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown. The team spent the night celebrating in a local bar. In the morning they got up and had team practice, they did a 4 mile run through the city and then did some skill drills and finally a team scrimmage. It was another good practice, and Lervivania hoped to play well next game.
