Mytanar Takillega of Rugby League 1994/1995

Well after last season, much was expected of the MTRL - and it once again delivered, with a surprising team winning it, last season's champions falling to 7th and some unexpected teams finishing very highly. Zirca RLFC won the league in its' second season, as they managed to beat off stiff competition from the Northport Sailors who finished only three points behind the eventual champions. Backsfield Cannons finished 5th this season, falling from the heady heights of 2nd that they reached last season. Zenit Toranj had an outstanding season, the team from the poorest district of Thessia managed to move up four places from last season, gaining eight more points than last season - or four more wins. Their use of local talent mixed with expansive play made for some great viewing and some great games. Last year, Lokomotiv Cassia won the league - but this season finished 7th, falling from grace, a little bit, really. Both Ebor clubs had terrible seasons despite both having huge financial backing, Ebor Huskies finished 9th, down four from last season and Ebor RLFC finished 12th - only down one spot, but still having a really bad season. The bottom of the league looks much the same with the Gunners and Polyk Victory staying in exactly the same positions.

In keeping with my new "having more than just football" national league policy, the PIBRRF would like to proudly publish the results of this season's rugby competitions, in both disciplines.

If I were to tentatively suggest a domestic rugby competition like the Heineken Cup, how would that go down? It would be regular like UICA competitions, as opposed to a one-off.

Please do, we need more International competions for club teams here on NS. The UICA and Champions League(Ice Hockey) just arn't enough.

Taking my cue from the CL of Hockey, I think due to lack of nations that currently scorinate a domestic rugby union league, there would be a large amount of entries allowed from each league at the moment (I think I'm the only person with a multi-national union league thus far), and possibly for the first edition, in order to drum up interest, limited entries could be made by nations without a scorinated domestic league at all? What would people think of that idea?

I'd like to see all entries be from scorinated leagues, but I suppose we could allow one or two enrties to the lazy nations.

Aye, it was only an idea, not sure it's got legs to be honest. Scrapping that.

Not sure what kind of schedule or deadling to put on this at the moment, but I'll be accepting entries from now, in this thread.

Let's say four entries from each league, with a little pointer in the direction of where you posted the results if possible please. I'll also put on a scale of additional bonus for teams that finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th so a final contested by two 4th place finishers is harder to come by. And obviously, a proper ranking system will be put in motion after the first edition.

My submission:
RUGBY UNION CHAMPION'S TROPHY
Citizens RFC
FJC Rushmori RFC
Northbrook Harlequins

Okay, so I was well off when thinking I was the only cross-border Union league.
After discussion on irc, it has been decided (fairly arbitrarily, but what can you do) that eh Croix Bleue Premiership (Mytannion, Pontinur, Princess Beatrice Island, Cotdelapoms) will enter the top six teams form the league, so their entrants will be:

Thessia Jets
PBI Pirates
Alouettes d'Outremont
Racing Cassia '78
Albionpool Druids
Charlevoix

I will enter 4 teams. Have not finished yet but will try predict top 4.

New Sydney Waratahs
Watson's Bay RFC
The Reds
New Leeds Rugby

OOC: Im thinking of RPing New Sydney (An island belonging to me that I will claim sometime) becoming independent so that sort of becomes a multi national league.

As long as you don't take forever over it, you've got time to finish your league. I won't be starting this til next weekend or so.
