Welcome to a bid coming from two football-loving nations... Or as we say, "Mogesalmebit'!" or "Welkom!". Both nations are quite different in culture, language, tradition, history and even size... But both of them are into sports more than any other Esportivan nation.

Cyborg Holland is a large island nation to the west of mainland Esportiva, population c. 120 million. Its capital is New Amzterdam (14 million). Other major cities include Eindhoven (9 million), Alkmaar (5.5 million) & Büllen (4 million). The land is stunning and the people are friendly, all football teams will feel right at home in our country. We are a free country, with free market, economy and laws.

On the other hand, Sakhovelo is a commowealth of Euskirribakondara, with a population of c. 12 million (8 million in the autonomous side, 4 million in the Euskal-controlled zone). This bid comes from the autonomous, Esportivan side. Its capital is Kubistvis (2 million), a city loved by its evergreen grass and sunny clear sky. Most Sakhovelis live in villages, as they are not much of the urban kind. The only other cities are Kartlos (900,000), Tbilino (600,000), Batuni (400,000), Khobeliti (200,000) and Gartsi (80,000). The sceneries are a huge contrast from the sunny beach to the oxygen-less snowcapped high mountains. Liberties and civil rights are the symbol of the nation, so there will be absolutely no problem with the foreigners.

The main airports of both nations (New Amzterdam Airport; Kubistvis International Airport) receive daily flights from most Esportivan nations, and also have connections to other regions of the world. To avoid language being a problem, signs, leaflets and guides will be available in four languages (English, Dutch, Euskal, Georgian). All the staff (tourism guides, volunteers for the visitors, and for the teams) is also fluent in these four languages (after a program sponsored by both governments), and there can be translators hired by civilians or foreign missions.

Countries: Cyborg Holland & Sakhovelo
Capital Cities: New Amzterdam & Kubistvis
Demonym: Newdutch & Sakhoveli
Unofficial Demonyms: Hollandienne & Sakhi
Leaders: Tim de Leede (President) & Shotiko Kubistvidze (Head of government) with Harrika Dago I (Head of state)
Official Languages: Dutch & Euskal, Georgian

VENUES OF THE TOURNAMENT
LOCATIES VAN HET TOERNOOI
ტურნირისი ობიექტები

In Cyborg Holland
The action in Cyborg Holland has been organized in four different cities (New Amzterdam, Eindhoven, Büllen and Alkmaar) with six different stadiums. All of them already hosted the Campionato Esportiva II, and meet all the requirements imposed by the hosting responsabilities of the CE. The transport between the four cities can be done by train or airplane.

AMZTERDAM ARENA
Host City: New Amzterdam
Capacity: 87,000
Description: This state-of-the-art venue will stand as the largest (in terms of capacity) stadium for this edition of the CE, having a complete retractable roof that can withstand any weather situation. It is located close to the train station that leads directly towards the New Amzterdam International Airport, and it is also close to the parks zone of the city, making it perfect as a meeting point for any generation. In the outside of the stadium, there'll be special activities besides the matches.

OLYMPIC STADIUM
Host City: New Amzterdam
Capacity: 73,000
Description: The second stadium located in the Hollandienne capital is the Olympic Stadium, which, as the name suggests, is more used to host events of Athletics and entertainment rather than the football fever. Nonetheless, it has all the facilities to do so, and as such, it will be another venue of CEIII. This one is further to the Aiport than the Amzterdam Arena, but it is closer to the mills and flower fields famous all around the world.

ASHBAARN PARK
Host City: Eindhoven
Capacity: 63,000
Description: The largest stadium of the City of Eindhoven has just been refurbished for the occasion, and it can now hold up to 63,000 attendants. The grass is still very fresh and awaits its soon inauguration with the matches of CEIII. It is right in downtown Eindhoven, overlooking the river that crosses the city and right in the middle of the entertainment and tourism district. Its burgeoning atmosphere will inspire new Eindhovean generations into sport.

OCEAN GATEWAY
Host City: Büllen
Capacity: 51,000
Description: Unlike Eindhoven or New Amzterdam, the city of Büllen will just have one sports scenario as a venue for CEIII. In this case, it is the "Ocean Gateway", a stadium that has been praised for its architectural value to the whole nation. Designed by Hanson De Meuron, its trademark roof will provide shelter to the fans whilst they are watching the matches and rooting for their teams. The whole city of Büllen is preparing special activities for the weeks of CEIII as well.

EINDHOVEN SPORTS ARENA
Host City: Eindhoven
Capacity: 34,000
Description: This is the oldest stadium that will be part of CEIII. It was opened as a velodrome late back in 1920, and has stood until today as the main sports venue of the city of Eindhoven. The club it hosts, PSV Eindhoven, will move its matches to the third stadium of the city to open the path for Esportivan nations to compete in a place that stands as a landmark of CH's football.

ACG
Host City: Alkmaar
Capacity: 24,000
Description: The ACG is rather surprising in terms of quality when you compare it to stadiums of its same size. The designer, Mark Galgenwaard was most likely a designer who supported that quantity wasn't necessarily equal to quality, and with such ideas in mind, he devised the ACG modern arena. The city of Alkmaar is very cozy and hospitable, and it will be a haven for the tourists who enjoy shopping and walks in the beach and the forests.

In Sakhovelo
Transport between the five Sakhoveli host cities (Kubistvis, Kartlos, Tbilino, Batuni and Khobeliti) will not be a problem thanks to the sponsoring of EUSKAir and Sakhoveli Airlines. A high speed train line has also been opened recently, and both links will be enough to move the fans all around the country to enjoy CEIII at its fullest.

KUBISTVIS OLYMPIC STADIUM
Host City: Kubistvis
Capacity: 70,000
Description: The largest and most important stadium of Sakhovelo will carry the flag of the Sakhoveli venues. The Kubistvis Olympic Stadium, or KOSI for short, is located in the new "Mzeona" district of Kubistvis, a hill that overlooks the sea and the city's downtown, filled with little cafés, shops and hotels. The transport from there to the Kubistvis International Airport and the Ferry Center is very simple: through the line K2 of the Metro. With the special tour, you can walk over the arch of the stadium, which gives it its characteristic appearance.

KUBISTVIS MAJOR STADIUM
Host City: Kubistvis
Capacity: 70,000
Description: Originally proposed as the only venue in Kubistvis for CEIII, the Kubistvis Major Stadium will be a bit busy hosting the Open of Kubistvis, a multi-sports competition to be opened in a few days, gathering athletes from all over Esportiva. Its crystal roof and walls remind visitors of the sea that has brought life to Sakhovelo for millenia. Just like the rest of Downtown Kubistvis, it is very close to all the interesting landmarks, the Convention Center, the Airport and the Ferry Center. Don't forget to take a picture at noon, where the roof magically transforms sunlight into a shining rainbow for a few minutes.

SIMGHERA ARENA
Host City: Kartlos
Capacity: 55,000
Description: It is the newest stadium of Sakhovelo, and it was built to attend the rising population of the city of Kartlos. The stadium (like the city) is located in the Kavadze Plateau, 1800 meters above sea level, which can be a minor difficulty for players not accustomed to high places. Luckily, the city has a temperate spring-ish climate this time of the year, perfect to enjoy an afternoon of excellent football matches. Don't forget to try the delicacy of the region, the Mrt'ino.

OK'ROS MEDINARE STADIUM
Host City: Tbilino
Capacity: 40,000
Description: Tbilino is a beautiful city whose landscape is dominated by the Kartuli Mountains, which reach up to 4000 meters above sea level and be totally snowcapped. Nonetheless, Tbilino is right in the bottom, in the valley of the Suli River. Such a location provides the city with high yet comfortable temperatures, and swift soft winds every day. If you want to go skiing, you can go any time of the year, local tours can take you to the high mountains to enjoy winter in another season. The stadium is right below Mount Vashini, the only mount that has never had avalanches.

GAURO ROMELASHVILI STADIUM
Host City: Batuni
Capacity: 28,000
Description: ¡Oh beautiful and lovely Batuni! Let me swim in your crystal-watered lakes. Let me spend here all my days. Live, like it was once said by Tagratuni (traditional poet)... That's the poem of the city that describes her perfectly. It is the most common summer vacation spot after Kubistvis, and it is located right in the southwest, in the land of wild horses and endemic flowers of a thousand years old. This open-air stadium was designed like that to profit the almost rainless sky of Batuni.

BAGRATUNI MOUNTAIN ARENA
Host City: Khobeliti
Capacity: 22,000
Description: Just like the ACG, a futuristic concept of stadium was put in place in the Bagratuni Mountain Arena. It was named after Bagratuni, a dynasty of the Sakhoveli history, and the fact that around Khobeliti there are NO mountains. The locals decided to call the arena "mountain" because it is the only "height" of its skyline. It seats 22,000 attendants, and it commonly hosts other sports or entertainment events (plays, concerts, etc.).

Cyborg Holland Roster to the CEIII

Head Coach: Esteban Reyes (western cuba)

Assistant Coach: Sam Lindegrass - 43 y/o - M
Keeping Coach: Alfre Arkes - 37 y/o - M
Defensive Coach: Linda Schneck - 39 y/o - F
Attacking Coach: Mikh Anders - 42 y/o - M
Physio: Bjarne Zehger - 46 y/o - M
Physio: Milia Anderse - 47 y/o - F

Players: (Starters in bold)

Goalkeepers:

Tim Groenewald: - 26 - 36 caps - 0 goals - Abingdon Celtic (Licentiapacissterra)

The number one shot stopper in the country, and will probably have that spot for a fair few more years, judging by his talent and perhaps the dubious talent of those below him. A talented and athletic keeper, he specialises in 1-on-1s and free-kicks

Justin Sniders - 31 - 2 caps - 0 goals - Amzterdam FC

Only had his chance during two of Tim's allocated rest games, he make look like backup, but he is a perfectly competent keeper. He performed well last season for Amzterdam, and will be looking to make headway into the national team

Maria Nifterick - 20 - 0 caps - 0 - Hague PPRC

A new, young keeper in the number 3 keeper spot, she guards the goal for the U21 squad, who play Starblaydia tonight. Talent spotted from school and drafted into Hague PPRCs squad in time for the 2010 season, she's been very successful for the club. This is her first international trip, and will look to take the experience as a learning curve, as opposed to actual game time.

Defenders:

Jennifer Loitzer - 28 - 32 caps - 3 goals - Eindhoven Tigers

Part of the strong, robust back four that keeps the work off Groenewald's shoulders. A strong, yet battle-weary right back, she's seen four world cup campaigns, netting 3 times with her head. Fierce in tackles and relentless in effort, she's a real workhorse.

Olivia Meiren - 19 - 1 cap - 0 - Limburg ACM

Another young, fresh face on the changing squad, Olivia too was talent spotted and drawn into the Limburg squad, just in time to watch them free fall down the ABPD, so as the coach desperately tried to make things work, she got plenty of game time. She impressed the team scouts, and thus got an international call up. Smaller than your average defender, but strong and fast, she makes trouble for any attacker. Also part of the DBC suqad which play tonight

Gregory Lukas: - 32 - 41 caps - 8 goals - Avengers United (Yesopalitha) - CAPTAIN

The most capped and most experienced player in the squad, Gregory has been playing since he was 17, and has never stopped. Tireless, remorseless in defence and in attack, as well as the perfect team player and role model, he makes the perfect captain for the new-look side.

Tjaard Róg - 27 - 4 caps - 1 goal - Amzterdam Wykes SC

Another brilliant defender, but has always stood in the shadow of Lukas, thus only four caps for what has been otherwise a good career. An Orange cup win, UICA football next season, the big man has seen, and will see, all that football has to offer by being included in this squad.

Dewald Pratag - 28 - 13 Caps - 2 goals - Paritzburg City SC

Originally called into the squad ahead of CoH 51 to deal with the large ursine presence of Armed Bears, his name has stuck to the team sheet. A powerful defender, the 6ft 8" man is literally larger than life. Great in the air, can score goals with head off corners, and brutal in tackles. Tends to get booked.

Robin Pieters - 22 - 3 caps - 0 goals - BC Utrecht

Pieters is perhaps more of a defensive midfield player, and will often be able to slot into that role if the assurance is needed in the middle. A versatile and dynamic player, he can function under the auspices of a defender or midfielder, and provide pace both on and off the ball when required.

Edward Mannerheim - 27 - 20 caps - 4 goals - BC Utrecht

Used to be a regular face in the side before the CoH 51, but was pushed off by a more aggressive Dewald Pratag. Sometimes meek, sometimes wild and rash, he can be indecisive at times, but is always a reliable right back. He is Strong and level-headed, and can put out a solid defensive performance

Peter van Jonheere - 30 - 36 caps - 7 goals - Preeta Bay

Integral to Cyborg Holland's game plan of sweeping counter-attacking football; Peter can leap forward to spring an attack, or sit deep and hold out wave after wave of attacks. A constant player and always reliable to do his job, Peter has been a regular starter for years.

Midfielders:

Robert de Grapf: - 29 - 40 caps - 13 goals - Hague PPRC

Another old face in the side, Robert likes the best of both worlds in the defensive midfield role. A technically brilliant player and an excellent marksman are just a few of his traits that make him such a key and valuable figure.

Ben Alders - 19 - 0 caps - 0 goals - SV Karbruner

The only player to play for a NatEc 1st Division teams, it is a surprise the affluent youngster hasn't been snatched up by a bigger side. He has the capability to become a key player in the sides future development. He has been a key playmaker for the DBC side, especially in thier 1-0 victory over Dorian & Sonya

Marten Aggarsgard - 27 - 2 caps - 1 goal - Preeta Bay

Has been on and off for the last few seasons, he is too variant and unpredictable to be a regular for the side. But a talented central midfielder nonetheless. Almost rhythmic on the ball and vision to pick out a minute pass may make him one for the near future.

Joanna Levi - 29 - 35 caps - 12 goals - San Jose Sharks (Northern Sunrise Islands)

One of the "Dynamic Duo", Joanna is a brilliant midfield player. Happy-go-lucky, she is always buzzy around the camp and pitch. Her attitude tends to reflect her play; Happy means fast, energetic seeker football, unhappy tends to be a lot more slow, direct, defensive play. Let's hope she's happy this time round.

Helena Rutov - 27 - 37 caps - 15 goals - FC Guingamp

The other half of the "dynamic duo", she has recently completed a $6 million NHD deal to FC Guingamp from Preeta Bay. She plays as the link between the defence and attack, she likes to have control over the game in its heart, and will start the game by setting this straight with an opposition No. 7.

Tor Adralsen - 23 - 1 cap - 0 goals - Amzterdam Wykes SC

Made a solitary appearance as a 20-year old in WC59, Tor does what Helena does, provides a link, but just not as well, hence his 1 appearance. If Helena gets injured, Tor will fit right in to her position. Great at through balls and eyeing the tiniest of gaps, strikers love to play alongside him, and defenders loathe him.

Andrew Sonveringht - 31 - 38 caps - 17 goals - Eindhoven Tigers - VICE CAPTAIN

Skills that pay the bills. Quite literally. Andrew's skill is fantastic, and he is a real crowd pleaser, as well as a genuinely talented footballer. Capable of both long and short shots, as well as free-kicks and penalties, he has many arrows to his footballing quiver.

Strikers:

Christian Thorsten - 22 - 3 caps - 1 goals - Eindhoven Tigers

The replacement for Phillip Denbradnt who is taking a break from international football for a couple of seasons, Chrisitan has been selected as his replacement. He has a lot of work to do to seal the spot, but he certainly can. He is lethal with his right foot, and powerful with his head, he can score goals in all sorts of ways.

Olver Dressen - 26 - 3 caps - 1 goal - Amzterdam FC

Olver sat in the shadow of Denbrandt, and is now rather miffed that Thorsten got picked ahead of him. Much smaller and lighter than Thorsten, he is nimble and quick on his feet, able to dodge and weave between bulky opposition defenders.

Mary Hasvarg-Lukas - 27 - 29 caps - 15 goals - Eindhoven Tigers

Another big name in the bench this time round, Mary has played her fair share of good and bad. Wily up front, she is more conservative with shots and runs than Denbrandt, but tends to have better success. Endless streams of energy and confidence put her at 100% through the whole game.

Lam van Agarten - 25 - 11 caps - 7 goals - Greeningham City (Osarius)
The replacement for Mary, Lam has waited patiently for a first team starting place. And now she has it, but can she keep it from the wily fox that is Hasvarg-Lukas. Another nimble striker who can link up superbly with both Thorsten & Dressen, as well as make the final runs to finish off a slick move, Lam has a full array of tricks in her arsenal. Deadly in the CoH despite the Dragons not passing the group stages, netting three goals in 3 games.

Yes to all (EXCEPT: No more than 2 reds)

The Dandish Freitball Francitian is not so glad to present, along with Ferrosian Bioengineering Laboratories SA, the Dandish roster for the 3rd edition of Campionato Esportiva.

Manager: Dr. Horreshüffer (the one who came up with the project)

Starting Eleven:

GK:
Toothy:

A rabbit designed to react quickly and always seek to hit the ball to anywhere that isn't the goal, it's agile, can reach any height to stop a shot and will, if needed, bite the ball to prevent a goal. It's a white, fatty, rather tall rabbit. However, it's still a rabbit, so it's really short.

FP:
Rugs Bunny:

A rabbit which has developed an annoying phrase which it repeats constantly, something along the lines of "What's Up, Rock?". Is fast and will tend to disguise itself as a player of the opposing team to get the ball. Loves carrots with passion.

FP:
Batbunny:

Multimillonnaire bunny which decided to avenge its dead parents, wears a bat costume all the time and constantly says "Because I'm batbunny." Completely sapient.

FP:
Rollingfast:

A bunny which was engineered to be faster on rollerskates, the faster member of the team, and completely sapient too. However, using rollerskates has rendered it from jumping, which holds it back a bit.

FP:
Mr. Evilbunny:

A bunny which was designed to be evil, has developed a stunning laser beam which can stun any player for 5 seconds, which he can use anytime in order to score. However, he often leaves it at the farm hotel (when RP permission prohibit godmodding scoring events).

FP:
Munnybunny:

Another multimillonaire bunny, which was designed to throw money at the opposing players to try and bribe them. Munnybunny is completely sapient, and often complains about how dirty football is. He's a good player regardless.

FP:
Bulk:

A bunny which turned green after an experiment went wrong, he turns green only when he plays football, as he's often fouled and that pisses him off. Can shoot with unbelievable power and will always shoot when angered. Sapient when not green.

FP:
Ironbunny:

A sapient bunny which was given a weird metallic armor that gives him superpowers and can destroy almost anything. It doesn't know how to use it, so it'll simply play as normal, but having physical advantage. May occasionally, accidentally, shoot at towards direction.

FP:
Boodoonny:

Boodoonny is a bunny which is sapient, but mentally ill. He always carries a dummy which looks like an opposing player, and often stabs it with a needle laughing crazily, believing that it actually has some effect on the other player. Otherwise, a completely normal bunny which can play football.

FP:
Gigantobunny:

A bunny which was designed to be extremely big, 3 times the size of a human, to score on corners. Has become slow due to its size and can't jump. Not sapient at all, but has been given the instinct to head the ball towards the opposing team's net.

FP:
Bunnator:

A robotic bunny which has been claiming a program called "SlyNet" will destroy the world for a while now. Sometimes asks for some "Sarah Color" who noone knows. Surprisingly strong and will often fire at anyone near him, approach at own risk.

Substitutes:

Rabbitkeeper:
A rabbit designed to just play football normally, as a goalkeeper, not sapient, nothing special here.

Rabbit:
A rabbit designed to just play football normally, not sapient, nothing special here.

Tactic:

All players except Toothy will roam the entire field, being Field Players. They have no concept of tactic yetm as bioengineering in Dandillis hasn't reached such an advanced level of technology to allow that, so expect all bunnis to run a round seeking for the ball, and pass it and dribble and shoot as any other team.

I allow anything as my RP permissions, but demand a TG before severely injuring any bunny.

Manager
Markus Gimbiris, 57

After doing very well in the last Campionato Esportiva, finishing in second, Gimbiris has decided to field the same team as last time out. Notable events this cup include that Bennet, Liners and Patedson are retiring after this competition, which means that there will have to be completely new goalkeepers in the World Cup.

Squad
GK: Samuel Bennet, 34

Solid goalkeeper who doesn't concede many goals in amateur matches. Main skills are one-on-ones and communicating with the other players. Has a tendency to punch, rather than catch.

LB: Dan Mistarton, 26

Level headed wing back who isn't used to playing in the left back position, but is competent enough. Decent crosser, but that job is normally left to the wingers

CB: Joanne Nortal, 21

The youngest of the four women on the team and is unquestionably the most talented. Good at heading and often gets stuck into challenges. She's only 18, so much more is expected in the future.

CB: Cameron Major, 34

Captain of the team, who is getting on a bit, but is still a good performer. Has all the qualities expected of a central defender, good tackling, marking and heading. Is also the team's back up penalty taker

RB: Alison Mineral, 25

Another solid performer, who is versatile and can play almost anywhere. A natural right-back, she is also good on the left side and can even play as a striker if needed

DM: Jenny Small, 26

Probably the least talented of the three women in the starting line-up, but that doesn't mean she's bad. Can play as either a central or defensive midfielder. She bridges the gap between defence and attack, by means of some top quality passing.

LM: James Smith, 22

Another extremely talented prospect, the fans are relishing seeing him play in the CE. The main corner taker, Smith can do well with both feet. Needs to improve on shooting, and often takes shots from outside the area that can go anywhere but the goal.

RM: Baer Liners, 36

Probably way past his peak, Liners is an interesting character. Very agressive, but doesn't often challenge. Likes to hold onto the ball, but passing is his strong point. Likely his last competition

AMC: Lucas Mineral, 31

The 28 year old's form in international matches is much better than his form in the league. He is a player who relishes the big matches, and often is in the right place at the right time. Takes the free kicks along with Manilow

ST: Barry Manilow, 29

Overshadowed by Gimbiris last World Cup, Manilow is still a solid performer. Scores a few, mainly from penalties, of which he is the main taker. A set piece specialist, he also takes free kicks along with attacking midfielder Mineral.

ST: Mindougas Gimbiris, 32

A familiar face across all of 19th Century Beards (which isn't that much), Mindougas Gimbiris is one of 19th Century Beards' most recognized players (which isn't saying much). In the team since it's inception, he has been the main goalscorer, and hopes to bag a few more in the Campionato.

Subs
GK: Tom Patedson, 38
CB: Johnny Manilow, 26
CM: Tomas Jones, 32
LM: Lukas Small, 30
ST: Janet Crown, 25

I know it may sound ridiculous, but it can prepare you for a distant future when Val Kylx has to retire. It can also help you write a creative RP.

Scrap that, Birolika's idea is awesome.

That might be the first time one of my ideas hasn't been met with the response, "Fine, but where are you going to get all those yaks from?"

OOC: This is taking place in June 2013 Slembanan Time.

The Slembana Times: Squad for the third Campionato Esportiva

By Peter Whiteman, chief football reporter

Here, we will announce our squad for the third Campionato Esportiva. We are the last seed in our group yet again, which was the case at the first Renaissance Cup, World Cup 61 qualifying, and the second Friendly Cup. Our puppet, Qalfen, are also the last seed in their group. Let's get on with the squad!

Goalkeepers:
#1 - Toby Gapman
Age: 31
Birthday: 29 August 1981
Caps: 40
Goals: 0
Clubs: Velbay United (1997-2004), Bézburgh Town (1998-1999, loan), Bafilo United (2004-)
Height: 6'3"
Toby is our first choice goalkeeper here, as he has been at most of our previous tournaments. He is a veteran, having made his senior debut for his first club, Velbay United, almost sixteen years ago. Toby is the best goalkeeper in the country, despite failing to win to win the Premier League with his club side, Bafilo United, last season. He is agile, tall, and is a great shot-stopper.
#12 - Kevin Banks
Age: 19
Birthday: 18 March 1994
Caps: 7
Goals: 0
Clubs: Chelsea City (2010-), Javeli County (2011-2012)
Height: 6'2"
Kevin, our second choice goalkeeper, has only gained 7 caps for the national team, with 5 of those coming in the King James Invitational Cup. He is also quite tall, and is only 19 years old. Toby Gapman’s good form has made him the first choice in goal, not Kevin. Kevin is hoping he can get some appearances here.
#23 – Josh Pitbull
Age: 18
Birthday: 11 May 1995
Caps: 2
Goals: 0
Height: 5’11”
Clubs: Yavelsk Rovers (2011-), Riverside (2011-2012)
Josh is third-choice goalkeeper here, as he has been at previous tournaments, like World Cup 61 qualifying, Cup of Harmony 53, and the Friendly Cups. Josh has only two caps to his name, but he is hoping to get a run-out here at the tournament.
Defenders:
#2 – Callum Potts
Age: 32
Birthday: 28 July 1980
Caps: 43
Goals: 0
Height: 5’9”
Clubs: Bafilo City (1996-1998), Bafilo United (1998-2004), Vanderlei Albion (2004-)
Callum is a well-respected player in our squad, having gained a mega 43 caps. He made his debut for his first club, Bafilo City, almost 17 years ago. Callum is well-known for having played for both Bafilo clubs, moving to Bafilo United in 1998. The 32 year is quite small, but makes up for it with good defending.
#19 – Tom Iflon
Age: 22
Birthday: 21 August 1990
Caps: 11
Goals: 0
Height: 5’10”
Clubs: Bafilo United (2006-2012), Chelsea United (2011-12 (loan), 2012)
Tom was our main right-back at the Renaissance Cup. However, he is second-choice behind Callum Potts here, as he usually is. Tom is taller than Callum, oddly. Tom is one of the many players to have emerged from the famed youth system of Bafilo United.
#5 – Gavin Stockwell (captain)
Age: 36
Birthday: 1 August 1976
Caps: 44
Goals: 1
Height: 6’3”
Clubs: Bafilo United (1993-)
Gavin is our captain here, as he has been at many other tournaments in the past. The 36 year-old made his debut for Bafilo United, our most well-known and most successful club, 20 years ago, so he is very expierenced. Gavin has built up a great centre-back partnership with youngster Don Adobe.
#4 – Don Adobe
Age: 21
Birthday: 25 February 1992
Caps: 45
Goals: 1
Height: 6’5”
Clubs: Bafilo City (1998-)
Don may only be 21, but he is a huge player, towering almost 2 metres tall. He was 5 feet tall at the age of 10, 5’8” at 13, and 6 feet tall at 16. Anyway, Don is our joint-top capped player, alongside Follin Maxet (who is a Bafilo City team-mate of Don) and Val Kylx (our best player).
#14 – Warren Lockton
#21 – Arran Maxwell-Hunter
#3 – Norris Rawlinson
Age: 33
Birthday: 19 January 1980
Caps: 36
Goals: 0
Height: 6’0”
Clubs: Anderson City (1996-2005), Chelsea City (2005-)
Norris is our first-choice left-back. He is quite tall, and joined the youth team of his first club, Anderson City, in 1989 – 24 years ago. Norris is quick. He is a great defender, and rarely ventures forward. Norris was bullied at school for being ginger, but has fought back to become one of the world’s best left-backs.
#15 – Nelson Fernandez
Midfielders
#7 – Finlay Yalnif
Age: 28
Birthday: 21 April 1985
Caps: 44
Goals: 1
Height: 5’8”
Clubs: Bafilo United (2001-)
It seems a long time ago when Finlay made his debut for his club, Bafilo United. He burst onto the scene in 2001, twelve years ago, and embarassed many opposition defenders with his speed, tricks, and outrageous nutmegs. Finlay may now be 28, but he hasn’t lost any of his speed, or any of his tricks and nutmegs. Finlay still looks fresh-faced nowadays, and is usually seen with a smile on his face. He loves to play.
#18 – Olajide Tamerik
#8 – Jyvx Dagens
Age: 18
Birthday: 19 December 1994
Caps: 44
Goals: 1
Height: 5’7”
Clubs: Bafilo United (2011-)
Whenever Jyvx plays, he always seems to be good. He has black skin, and has scored one goal – a free-kick in a 1-1 draw with group opponents Cyborg Holland in the King James Invitational Cup. Jyvx made his debut for his club, Bafilo United, two years ago.
#6 – Follin Maxet
Age: 23
Birthday: 24 July 1989
Caps: 45
Goals: 0
Height: 5’7”
Clubs: Bafilo City (2005-)
Follin, just like fellow midfielder and best friend Jyvx Dagens, has black skin. Follin plays in a less advanced position than Jyvx, but is still quite attacking. Follin plays for Bafilo City, the massive rivals of Bafilo United (Jyvx’s club). This still does not dent the two players’ friendship, who were at the same schools all the way. Both were bullied at school.
#17 – Zorro Pullman
#16 – Dominic Halmez
#11 – Yuppë Tárnix
Age: 24
Birthday: 23 July 1988
Caps: 40
Goals: 0
Height: 5’11”
Clubs: Bafilo United (2004-)
Yuppë is our first-choice left-winger. He has black skin, just like Follin Maxet and Jyvx Dagens, and, like Jyvx, Yuppë plays for Bafilo United. Yuppë is a speedy winger, and provides good crosses.
#22 – Javo Jexa
Strikers
#9 – Val Kylx
Age: 17
Birthday: 3 August 1995
Caps: 45
Goals: 37
Height: 5’7”
Clubs: Bafilo United (2009-2013), Feardillis Wanderers (Farfadillis) (2013-)
Val can easily be called our best player, as he has scored 37 goals in 45 games, making him our top scorer. Val will become only our second player to play abroad when he makes his debut for Feardillis Wanderers of Farfadillis next season. He previously played for Bafilo United.
#10 – Eddie Barlow
Age: 24
Birthday: 23 March 1989
Caps: 6
Goals: 3
Height: 6’1”
Clubs: Chelsea City (2005-2012), Sporting Iturributa (Iturributa) (2013-)
Eddie has been Val Kylx’s strike partner on the international stage for six months. He has been picked as Val’s strike partner again here, with Jarod Vale having retired due to failing to recover from a serious knee injury. Eddie plies his trade for Iturributan club Sporting Iturributa.
#13 – Innes Yuhu
#20 – Jack Vanderton

NORTHERN SUNRISE ISLANDS NATIONAL CAMPIONATO ESPORTIVA III ROSTER
THE MARILLS

ImageImage
ImageImage

The Marills, though flunking at the recent WC qualifiers (by the method of just not caring about their first tournament), have at least one thing to be proud of. A Fourth Place at the Baptism of Fire and some ground breaking victories, such as beating Dorian and Sonya at the recent Di Bradini Cup. This is, however, the first tournament that Northern Sunrise Islands participate in continental level, aside from their brief participation at the Unzucneru Cup, though just by football clubs, instead of national teams. The Marills were originally at Group C, but since the reconstruction of the tournament, NSI was placed at Group E, together with Grand Duchy half Asadur, Westfield House and Swyftlandre, which is, considerably, an easier group.

A small inform regarding Northern Sunrise Islands
THE FANS

The Marills's supporters tend to have official supporting clubs, so let's start with them in a quick resume. Press one of the buttons down here so you can see their bio and learn more about these supporting teams.
Origin: 1998
Birthplace: West Mardi, Mardi Island
Official Track:Pistol Grip Pump by Volume 10
When you see a bunch of people with blue inverted caps or blue and yellow bandanas doing the "Pump" trademarked taunt move, you know it's West Mardi all over again. The Pump was created back in 1998 in a poor neighborhood of West Mardi by what was them a sort of crime gang. Their dark past is nowadays shadowed by their tendence of being actually pretty peaceful people, though really menace looking. The Pump has nowadays a total of 30 000 associated members, and also officially support teams such as the West Mardi Hockey Bags of the SMHL. Part of these supporters would later create the West 'Punnies to support the city's major football team, the Mardi Lopunnies. Their posters and flags tend to have graffiti-esque lettering, so it's a good way to sort them out of the crowd.
Origin: 2004
Birthplace: Selyne, Amy Island
Official Track:Maneater by Nelly Furtado
The most feminine supporter group of the Marills, the Maneaters are normally die-hard fans of the Selyne City Athenians, but sometimes have a tendency to support the Amy City Roses. The Maneaters were created by a group of teenage girls back in the year 2004 as a supporter group for the Tessalonica University teams, however, they easily grown up in number and became a NSI supporting group. The Maneaters have a total of 20 000 associated members. If you ever see a huge banner with a Mileena from Mortal Kombat-esque character in blue and yellow, then you know that the Maneaters are around.
Origin: 1990
Birthplace: Byrd, Byrd Island
Official Track: Byrd City Anthem by the National Band
Ten-Hut! In blue camo and yellow helmets, these are the members of the Byrd Batallion. Named after hero of Northern Sunrise Islands Sgt. James Byrd, the Batallion is the oldest supporters group of Northern Sunrise. Normally starting with their firework traditions, the Batallion normally sings the Northern Sunrise Islands' national anthem like if they were really ordered too. With a total of 35 000 members, the Batallion is devoted to the Marills for life.
Origin: 1989
Birthplace: Matthew City, Amy Island
Official Track: At the Helm by Hieroglyphics
Matthew City's own boys. The Hieroglyphics like to consider themselves "the unratable, the unbeatable supporting group". One of the older supporting groups, if not the oldest, they were a little down that Matthew City wasn't considered at first to host a Premier League team, but after the Senators started their life at the city, the Premier League reached full power with the help of the Hieroglyphics. A supporting team that loves to hold charity events, they are truly something that you are unable to lable. Currently has 20 000 members.
Origin: 2002
Birthplace: January River, Carnival Island
Official Track: Samba de Janeiro by Bellini
Portuguese speaking, normally wearing carnavalesque clothing, the Samba are considered to be one of the greatest supporting groups of Northern Sunrise Islands, if not of all the world. They are bright, colorful and tend to have a party inside the stadiums they go to. Normally in matches of Carnival City Samba, the Samba are just terrific when it comes to partying. Have around 10 000 members.

Cyprardeos. A nation of tribespeople, and huts, clicky names, and irking complications, yet with a suprising sophistication and culture attempt at sophistication and culture, and a love for football. The team is listed here:

Do anything short of killing them. Yes, this is the same roster. For the same reasons as the Asadurans, they belive it righteous to let the players live and grow as a team. or maybe I'm too lazy to change it...

The Slembanan team walked to Central Bus Station in Bafilo. They were going to take their very own, special "sleeper" coach for the 2-day-long journey to Sakhovelo. They would pass through nations like South Slembana and 19th Century Beards on their way to Sakhovelo for the third Campionato Esportiva. This was very exciting for the team - getting to play in the regional tournament. They were last seed in their group, but apart from Cyborg Holland (the co-hosts), all the other teams looked easy.

"This is so exciting!" beamed Val Kylx, Slembana's star striker. He was only 17, but he had already bagged 37 goals in 45 international games for his country. Kylx was widely regarded to be the best player in the Slembanan squad.

The team saw their special coach in bay 24. The coach was kitted out in the colours of the Slembanan flag - red, yellow, and green. In addition, the coach even had the coat of arms on it. On one of the sides, the coach had “Slembana national football team” written on it in italicized, white, and bolded “Arial” font. In addition, some pictures of the team and the players were shown.

The coach was called Carl, with the driver being called Jim. Jim got everyone on the coach – the squad, the manager, and the staff. When everyone and everything was ready, Jim started Carl, and the players were on their coach trip to Sakhovelo.

The coach went onto the M1 Motorway at Central Junction in Bafilo. The players could see their home stadium from the coach as it sped down the motorway. At a junction near Chelsea, with 5 hours of the journey gone, the coach cut off on a road going south, not west. The coach then entered South Slembana, an autonomous colony of Slembana. The coach went through fields, farms, and forests.

Then, with the coach near the eastern end of South Slembana, a 1970s Ford Escort somehow overtook Carl the coach.

“That old pile of crap overtook us, Jim?” moaned Val Kylx. “Drive faster, dude!”

“Language, Val,” said Gavin Stockwell, Slembana’s 36 year-old captain.

“OK, Gav,” replied Kylx.

The coach, after passing through an unknown country or two, then entered the Raging River Nation of 19th Century Beards. 19th Century Beards were in the same group as Slembana, and coach drove over many bridges, seeing loads of rivers and waterfalls. As beautiful as it was too look at, Jim and Carl were getting sleepy.

When the coach left 19th Century Beards, some rogue teenagers in sports cars sped down the motorway. They jinked in and out of other cars.

The first car was a red Ferrari F430 called Fabio. He was driven by a 19 year-old called Flayer Nápox. He was considered the leader of the cars.

The second car was called Varter. He was a Turbo-charged 2003 Volkswagen Golf, and was nicknamed a “TurboGolf” as a result. Varter was being driven by 18 year-old Rod Váxelt.

The third car was Freddie, an awesome Ford GT from 2005. His driver was 18 year-old Mark Blotting.

The final car was René, a 2003 Renault Clio Renaultsport. He was drove by 19 year-old George Adams, who always moaned about getting the “crappest car”.

The four rogue teens in their cars spotted Carl. With Carl, Jim, and everybody else sleeping, this was a chance for “FVFR” (what the cars called themselves), to disrupt the coach. After all, the drivers all liked rugby union.

With Carl fast asleep, the rogue sports cars made the huge coach change lane, with Carl scraping himself against the barriers.

Eventually, when everybody was awake, the coach was still rumbling through Esportiva, although the journey was not that far from completion. Sakhovelo wasn’t that far away now.

“I’m sure I heard bumping in the night,” said Val Kylx.

“I know what was causing it,” said Kylx’s strike partner, Eddie Barlow. “I was awake, and I saw these sports cars being driven by rogue teenagers. I could have phoned the police, but I didn’t know where we were.”

Everybody then gathered round for breakfast. Jim just got a lovely, hot, and tasty sausage roll from a Gregg’s at the service station, with the players and the staff eating at a table. Carl got refuelled for the journey.

“We must have been really quick to get here in such a short space of time,” said smiley winger Finlay Yalnif to fantastic playmaker Jyvx Dagens.

“We must have,” said Jyvx. “It doesn’t matter how long it takes, we’re always gonna win the tournament.”

“That’s the spirit, mate,” said Dagens’ best friend, Follin Maxet.

The coach then headed off down the motorway to Sak. He passed through loads of things, and Val Kylx got really excited when the coach entered Sakhovelo. “Gold medals here we come!” he beamed.

When the coach eventually arrived in the beautiful Sakhoveli capital of Kubistvis, filled with an array of lovely houses, cathedrals, flats, and hotels, the Slembana squad got off Carl, who parked outside a hotel. The players stepped off the coach, hoping to make their trip to Sakhovelo (and Cyborg Holland) a long one.

From the Apoxian Word....

Apox National Team Wins in Pre Tournament Friendly
Apox 3-1 Swyftlandre

A slightly weakened Apox national team faced Swyftlandre in a warm up friendly before the start of the 3rd Campionato Esportiva. Manager John Grigia continued his unbeaten start to managing the National side after the convincing 3-1 win over Swyftlandre.

The game kicked off in the Royal Stadium, Apox, in front of a large home crowd with a fair few away fans in there as well. Apox went off to a flyer, with Chris Maarsden, in a rich vein of form, nearly scoring in the 5th minute. However, after a couple of good attempts by Swftylandese players Eldon Roy and Riordan Ansel, the breakthrough came for a Apox.

It was off a Fari Y corner, with a large amount of both teams in the box. The ball skimmed just over the head of Fran Gracie before Jennie Scott lined up behind her, a slotted one into the goal. That was the first international goal by a female player for Apox, and one of the best goals we've scored in truthfulness.

After that goal, we probably settled down a bit too much, in the 34th minute the equaliser came, courtesy of Kiefer Winfred for Swftlandre, the ball just beating Jarvis Staniels when we was at full stretch.

After half time, we really found our rhythm, and two goals were scored in quick sucession, Marlon Vetta powering the ball into the net in the 60th minute, and Ken Rickwright chipping it over Stevie Redmund later on, in the 67th minute. The game settled down after that, and bar a late scare by Swyftlandre, where a goal was given off-side, it was clear who the victors were going to be.

This win will be a massive boost to the teams confidence, and they can go into the tournament hoping for a good result. We've been drawn into Group B, where are main threats to progressing will be the hosts Sakhovelo and Free University. The other three teams we have little knowledge of, and they seem to be relative newcomers to international football, the teams being Drosophiland, Zingolar and Qalfen. The teams aim is to reach the Quarter-Finals or the Semi-Finals in this our debut Campionato Esportiva.

Team Sheet from the Game (Scorers are listed in bold

From the work pages of Dr. Horreshüffer:

Dandillis 1 - 1 THRILLEDGE

Today, our bunnies proved to be a match for last time's champions. There were errors, like Rugs Bunny kicking an easy goal over the bar, or Batbunny starting a fight against the opposing side, but the result was good regardless. We'll play against THRILLEDGE again tomorrow, so it'll be kind of a rematch.

On the 4th minute, while our bunnies were in their box trying to get the ball like the mad animals they are, Stan Warwick got some space to try and shoot and shot towards Toothy's left, who jumped late and couldn't stop the powerful shot. We could've made Toothy even better, but that would've been unfair for other teams. On the 32nd minute, Bunnator got a long ball from Batbunny, dribbled one player, shot towards THRILLEDGE's goalkeeper's upper-right corner and proceeded to punch a thrilledgean player. The thrilledgean goalkeeper managed to stop the shot, but the referee saw Bunnator's punch and sent him off. We went to Half Time losing 1 - 0. We gave them carrots during it and they suddenly came renewed for the Second Half. It took us 20 minutes to score, after Ironbunny's cross, Gigantobunny's instincts wouldn't let me down, it would head the cross, mainly because its height, and would score easily. The bunnies had equalized, with 1 player less. After that, the bunnies continued playing an average match, completely forgetting that they could've won if they continued playing like that. But that's probably my fault.

List of defects:
- Bunnator's aggresive attitude.
- Rugs Bunny's horrible shooting.
- The overall short memory of the team.

The Slembana Times: Decent friendly result

By Peter Whiteman, chief football reporter

We have drawn a friendly prior to the third Campionato Esportiva 2-2 against Swyftlandre.

We took the lead in the 1st minute, when Val Kylx beat some Syftlandese defenders, before curling past Stevie Redmund in the Swyftlandre goal. We were dominant after the goal, with Kylx, Eddie Barlow, Jyvx Dagens, and Finlay Yalnif all coming close for us. So it was surprising for Swyftlandre to equalize on 29 minutes. Defender Uilleag Danny smashed home a fantastic long-range shot. However, Swyftlandre's star striker, Eldon Roy, was taken off with an injury in the 35th minute. This rocked Swyftlandre, who only managed to limp into the break at 0-0.

Kylx then somehow hit the post with a shot from 3 yards. This was in the 51st minute. As a result, Swyftlandre amazingly took the lead on 64 minutes, when Danny rifled home his second goal. However, we were still threatening, and in the last minute, a cross from Yalnif found Barlow, who headed home the equalizer we deserved.
