ES probably waited until after the cutoff to read at least some of the RPs. The only way you can post results as quickly as Cass did is if you read all of them prior to the cutoff. When I hosted the Beach Cup, I was still waiting until after cutoff to go back and read the RPs and it took around 45 minutes to get the results up. When I started waiting to cutoff until I had read and graded every RP (right after that point), that brought the time between cutoff and results down to a few minutes (except when I forget to set up xkoranate in advance, which adds an extra 5 minutes or so). If you don't see the host (or one of the host's puppets) in the browsing this forum list for a while before cutoff, expect either a delayed cutoff or a long wait between cutoff and results.

Either way, its better for a host to take as much time as necessary rather than rushing through it and awarding somebody the wrong bonus.

I just noticed while looking through the BoF entry list in the factbooks of NSWC Signups that Gregoryisgodistan is not listed, despite having competed in BoF 53 and despite the list being updated through BoF 53. Whenever the list is updated next, it may be a good idea to go back and look through BoF 53 to make sure every nation that competed at that BoF is included.

Heads up info for later today (didn't have time to fully complete the post right now, so I'll wait to post it for at least a few hours):

Polls will open on a host vote and three proposals later today, which shall be as follows:

CoH 59 vote between the two bids currently posted. The deadline is passed for bid submission.

ES's Host Voting Amendment

ASMV's CoH Host Vote Amendment Proposal

In light of ASMV's proposal, and my feeling that a change in CoH hosting eligibility should be consistent with that of the other WCC tournaments, I propose the following:

THAT the WCC Constitution provision 2.2.2 shall be amended as follows:
"Any nation that has previously participated in a World Cup and is signed up for the current edition of the World Cup may bid to host the BoF."

Further, THAT the WCC Constitution provision 2.3.2 shall be amended as follows:
"Any nation that has previously participated in a World Cup, and participated in it's most recently completed edition, may bid to host the World Cup, except if the user has co-hosted the previous World Cup."

The Above Amendments shall only be enacted upon the approval of the WCC, as well as the concurrent approval of the ASMV-submitted Cup of Harmony Host Eligibility Amendment of Cycle 67.

As per the duties authorized to myself as the stand-in for PIS during his brief absence, I am elevating this proposal to the floor, and will be submitting it for a vote with the other proposals. Of course, it will only go through if the ASMV proposal is also accepted.

Either way, I'll be back tonight with the poll opening.

Definitely "its", rather than "it's"... and I'd suggest "unless that nation's owner" rather than "except if the user has".

Ah, thanks. That's what I get for typing quickly. The final version will reflect that grammatical correction.

As for the second change, note that I neglected to mention that the only portions that are amended from the original language are in bold. I don't disagree that your wording for that might be worth tidying up - though a question of schematics and not necessity - but I hesitate to propose a change precisely because of the nature of this proposal, as well as the circumstances of how it is being brought to a vote. While the President (or the VP acting as such) has the ability to bring something to the floor, I feel that the person making the decision to bypass the nomination process should have a damn good reason to do it, and limit the proposals they make to fit that strictly.

In short, if there was more time before the scheduled vote were to happen, and/or ASMV weren't pulled away by other duties (my best to you and the family, on that note), I'd be running this by him, and hoping it'd be included in a single vote. As it is not, and the time doesn't allow for this to come up otherwise, I'm taking the step of putting it forward with very limited circumstances - that is, requiring passage of the ASMV proposal in order for this (if passed) to take effect - and with a limited amendment - that is, to only change the same things the ASMV proposal changes, only applied to the tournaments not covered by his proposal. Since his version doesn't cover anything but adding a requirement that the CoH host bidders must come from the pool of current WC participants, I submit that the same should hold for the BoF and the WC bidders. Any other clauses can be dealt with at another time.

As for the vote, that'll be coming soon - have some time to finish the draft right now.
