The World Cup Discussion Thread (OOC, version III)

Having now hosted my first WCC event, I would like to move forward with a bid for either World Cup 67 or 68. However, as my CoH co-host does not feel that he has enough time to co-host either of those World Cups, I find myself in need of a co-host if I intend to put forward a bid. I would prefer to bid with a senior host who has previously hosted a World Cup, but I would be willing to do a bid with another host with at least comparable experience to my own should I be unable to find a senior host. If any senior hosts or even any hosts with WCC experience are interested in putting together a bid, send me a TG.

You see, people keep saying this, but until one of you lower ranked gits obliges by going to rank and not upsetting the odds in the final there's not a lot I can do

Thanks BP. I don't know if you meant your commiserations to go to PI, but I'll take them because I like the fact I got a win over him in the commiserations-giving ceremony! So I thought I better get this quotation in for posterity. It's a small victory, but sometimes it's the small ones that taste the best...

Also, Saintland's record did sort of prevail. The winner of his World Cup group won the World Cup (damnit, wasted chance for me [and you Vil as well :P]). Also, the second-placed team in his qualifying group won the CoH. Is Saintland doomed to crown champions before-hand, never really winning anything? :P

Wait until I am ranked 2nd to be in my group. Both times thus far I have crumbled and failed miserably - but only when ranked 2nd going in. As for needing lessons, I think you are doing a great job so far on your own.

But I'll bet you didn't know this is the fourth time it's happened, after Audioslavia lost the finals of WC19/20, Liverpool England at WC26/27 (both against Bedistan) and The Holy Empire at WC56/57. THE and Audio are also tied for most finals lost, both with 4. Curious!
