I'd like to remind everyone that the first tiebreaker is H2H results and not goal difference.

Is the second tie-breaker Goal difference, because my puppet (Svengarda) and Paradystopia have one victory each against each other?

Head-to-head points earned
Head-to-head goal differential
Head-to-head goals scored (with two teams, away goals scored)
Goal differential in all matches
Goals scored in all matches
Playoff match at a neutral site--only when necessary to determine further advancement.

My IC reasoning is that Boring Paradise used to be a colony (OOC: puppet) of mine, but then declared independence along with several other colonies (OOC: I gave them to the current owner).

Right as I switched to Free Republics to check for an invite to the CoH, it had just arrived. Apparently, the hosts aren't sending out invites until after you're already eliminated and to accept you have to post a roster in the CoH thread. I figured everybody that is still in playoff contention would want to know that.

Correct in that no one who still has a chance to qualify for the World Cup has gotten an invitation yet.

Not if I have anything to say about it (which I do).

We implemented that policy for a reason, and allowing that would negate the desired impact of requiring a roster to participate.

Edit: For clarification, you are allowed to make a "reserved for" post in the CoH thread, but must have your actual roster posted by the given deadline in order to keep your spot in the tournament.

To rephrase my original post, you can make a "reserved for" post in the CoH thread, but you will not be confirmed as a participant until you include your roster. I personally see no reason for such posts, as the deadline applies to invited nations regardless of what time the original post was made.

In my group, its a similar situation, Mashiki (3rd) have the chance to win the whole group today if Results go their way, and they've not posted a thing, including a roster, this time around.

Indeed. It's not exactly a coincidence, though. The more KPB points you have (relative to you opponents), the better chance you have of putting together the results needed to advance - RP or no RP.

But it's weird that he RP'd once without posting a roster.
