Simple one - how did you choose who would be the lead bidder (i.e. to take on the presidency after a successful bid), and why?

I voluntarily gave it over to Ceni/New Gelderland as he seemed to have more experience being on the managing/organising side of things such as the ATP where he's done the rankings, keep track of sign-ups and all that information whereas I don't have that much experience (aside from opening the occasional IBC signup threads) in doing so.

To add some further information to this one:
1. Sapient horses must have a sapient rider, and they must follow the same restrictions as that of normal humans in the modern pentathlon (i.e. not being able to see the course in advance, and of course, their riders).

2 & 3. New Gelderland will follow the same policy as Electrum on these issues.

4. You'd probably be glad to know that Electrum is not under the jurisdiction of this draft WA resolution yet which would require it to either extradite or prosecute (in any case, New Gelderland is not part of the WA). In the case of New Gelderland, he won't be extradited, nor will he be charged with a crime unless he actually commits one.

5. New Gelderland will accept refugee/asylum seeker applications from anyone, but will not actively seek to liberate anyone.

I'll bump this thread up so our bid can get more exposure. We've made just a few minor changes to our bid, namely changing it to 22 days instead of 21 (we may consider the use of half days for particularly crowded days), and we will both input our own sides of the draw instead of New Gelderland doing all the work.

A deviation from last year's format/the Olympic format is to change the Swimming events with both a heats and semifinals is to allow 24 into the semifinals, instead of the usual 16, then it will be whittled down to 8 (this is to account for the large number of swimmers). But, there will be no changes to the events with just a heat and a final. The women's keelboat in the sailing will be changed from the match race format to the fleet race format, in line with the other events. Finally, I'm still mulling over the changes to the cycling, and whether or not we should change the omnium/team pursuit in line with the new changes for the 2016 Olympics or stick to the 2012 versions (I'm more inclined to stick to the status quo, but still interested to hear your thoughts regardless)...

I hate do it, but I'm going to bump this thread again. It's two days to go (at least in my time zone) before voting begins, and I would like the bid to get some more exposure, feedback and so that more questions can be asked.

I have to be honest, I do want to ask something but I don't really have anything to ask; as things stand I'm comfortable with the bid that has been put forward and the hosts, provided they will be active.

I have compiled the current Olympic Council membership. If there are any errors on this list, please let me know. If you were (erronously) left off of this list, you may still vote (just let me know that you were left off the Council). If this list is accurate, then there are 93 current members of the Olympic Council and a total of 47 votes for any option will be required for an early conclusion to the vote.

Voting for the host of the Games of the X Olympiad is now open!

There are two options:
• Award the Games to Centralis, Electrum and Nassau Bay, New Gelderland
• Reopen Host Bidding

Voting closes at 15:30 UTC on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 (approximately 1 week from now)

The current membership of the Olympic Council is available here. All members of the Olympic Council may vote, regardless of whether they are bidding for the Games. If you are listed between 95x and Kalosia, please send your votes to Acedonia. If you are listed between Kannap and Sheffland, please send your votes to Irad. If you are listed between Slavic Union and Zwangzug, please send your votes to Noburu Taiyou.

Votes are limited to 1 per user. If multiple nations of yours are listed separately, please say so when you vote so that I can correct the error. If you entered either the Games of the IX Olympiad or the X Winter Olympics and are not listed, you may still vote (just let me know which one you entered when you vote, so that I can verify this).

There are just over 28 hours left to vote for or against the host bid. As of last night, a total of 15 votes had been cast, so most of the Olympic Council hasn't voted yet. If you want to vote, send your votes to Acedonia, Irad or Noburu Taiyou in the next 28 hours and roughly 15 minutes.

One quick question for Electrum/Ceni, will there be a spreadsheet to help organize our roster for the games? Or does everything has to be done manually.

Electrum here. Firstly, on behalf of New Gelderland (Ceni) and myself, we would like to thank you all for giving us the honour of hosting the Olympics. It's fair to say it's been our dream to host this high-caliber event, and we hope to win over the two of you that didn't vote for our bid. We've roleplayed in this tournament for a few editions now, and it's great to see events which aren't usually roleplayed actually being roleplayed -- that's why we enjoy the Olympics so much. Expect the sign up thread to be up shortly.

I've fixed that bug (and posted the link to the new version of the program on IRC so the hosts can update the link). If anybody notices anything else in SignupCreator that is a holdover from the Multiverse Games or the X Winter Olympics or even a bug that I've never detected, just give me an idea of how to reproduce it and I'll get it fixed.

The Documentation that I wrote for the X Winter Olympics version is still relevant for this version, by the way.
