[ooc] Best website to make schedules

Postby Quattrablegia » Thu Apr 15, 2010 9:14 am

Hello all:
Came across this yesterday and thought you'd all want it.

http://schedules.footballguys.com/index.php

To ensure that your teams end up in the right conferences/divisions, be sure to enter them in order. So, for example, if you have two 5-team divisions, enter the teams for the first division in slots 1-5 and for the other in 6-10.

Enjoy!
Peace

Blood Bowl, a particularly violent variant of American football played with teams of eleven-to-sixteen and relaxed rules in terms of fouls and injuries, has long had a major following in the Most Serene Republic at the collegiate and amateur levels. In fact, in recent years, its surge in popularity has lead some to describe it unofficially as the national sport. Today, the Tribune for Health and Sport is overjoyed to announce the creation of a professional outlet for the sport, the Republican Bloodbowl League. In its first season, the RBL will consist of nine franchises, each hailing from the Atrurian city-state, playing in three separate divisions, with the intention of expanding over time. The winners in each of the divisions will face off in a single elimination tournament, in which the overall league champion will be decided. The teams, which have already hired coaching staff and been granted the use of athletic facilities, will soon begin to select their players from among the graduating classes of Atruria’s most reputable university Blood Bowl teams, in the upcoming RBL draft.

Planned divisions, teams, and their home stadiums are the following:

Division A
- Arkham Rage – Arkham Prefecture Stadium, Atruria City
- Republican Guard FC – Lazarus Barracks Sporting Field, Atruria City
- Merchants BBC – Merchant’s Guild Athletic Center, Atruria City
Division B
- Old Docklands Porpoises – Old Docklands Prefecture Stadium, Atruria City
- New Docklands Divers – New Docklands Prefecture Stadium, Atruria City
- Guildsmen FC – Merchant’s Guild Athletic Center, Atruria City
Division C
- Hurricanes BBC – Vivar Enterprises Stadium, Atruria City
- Legation Quarter Diplomats – Eternal Peace Park Stadium, Atruria City
- Chargers BBC – Ursarkar Park, Atruria City

The CPFL

So far there have been four seasons in the Churchma Professional Football League (CPFL). The dominant team through four seasons is the Moorhatch Hawks (they've won the CPFL title each of the four seasons). Moorhatch is Churchma's capital city, as well as it's most populous city. Through four seasons there have been two divisions (each made up of eight teams): the Republic Division and the National Divison. At the end of each season the top two teams from each division are sent to the playoffs. Here are the regular season champions of each division:

CPFL 1
Republic Division- Moorhatch Hawks (11-4)
National Division- Johnston Chiefs (12-3)

CPFL 2
Republic Division- Fenton Packers (10-5)
National Division- Guyer Trojans (13-2)

CPFL 3
Republic Division- Moorhatch Hawks (13-2)
National Division- South Moorhatch Vipers (13-2)

CPFL 4
Republic Division- Moorhatch Hawks (12-3)
National Division- Keller Knights (10-5)

Each season has brought some major upsets in the playoffs (the overall number one seed has lost to the four seed in three of the four seasons). The dominant franchise thus far has been the Moorhatch Hawks. Although the South Moorhatch Vipers have established themselves as of late- they are making a strong case not to be known as "the other Moorhatch team". Here are the championship matchups in each season.

CPFL 1
#2 Moorhatch Hawks 16
#4 Guyer Trojans 13

CPFL 2
#2 South Moorhatch Vipers 22
#4 Moorhatch Hawks 33

CPFL 3
#2 Moorhatch Hawks 54
#4 Keller Knights 33

CPFL 4
#1 Moorhatch Hawks 29
#2 Keller Knights 24

Through four seasons here are the records of each team (post season records not included):

Republic Division
Applegate Panthers (23-37)
Fenton Packers (35-25) Three Playoff Appearances
Liberty Cobras (17-43)
Moorhatch Hawks (45-15) Four Playoff Appearances, CPFL 1,2,3,4 CHAMPIONS
New Phillips Huskies (29-31)
Salem Warriors (30-30)
Sullensville Thunder (25-35)
Wilmington Patriots (27-33) One Playoff Appearance

National Division
Columbia Gators (22-38)
Guyer Trojans (40-20) Two Playoff Appearances, CPFL 1 Runnerups
Hillsburg Reds (24-36)
Johnston Chiefs (39-41) Two Playoff Appearances
Keller Knights (34-26) Two Playoff Appearances, CPFL 3,4 Runnerups
South Moorhatch Vipers (41-19) Two Playoff Appearances, CPFL 2 Runnerups
Tyler Mechanics (26-24)
Walton Vikings (23-37)

Rumors are flying around that after CPFL 4 another four teams will be added to the leauge. Churchma Sports Inc. will keep the world updated on what is going to happen.

CPFL SEASON FIVE

Season Five review: Finally a new champion
Churchma Sports Inc.

After the Moorhatch Hawks flat out dominated the Churchma Professional Football League for the first four seasons, there is finally a new champion. The Guyer Trojans went 9-4 during the regular season and then dominated the Johnston Chiefs, winning the National Conference by a score of 27-6. Guyer now has the second most victories (49) in CPFL history, only behind Moorhatch (56). The Trojans have are building an impressive franchise. Through five seasons they have made the playoffs three times, and been to the championship twice- runnerups in CPFL 1 and champions in CPFL 5.

The fifth season of the CPFL brought about a change in the setup of the league. The league went from a 16-team format, to a 20-team format. This season there were two conferences, each with two divisions. Each division had five teams in it. The division champion advanced to the playoffs.

The expansion teams this year did extremely well- or at least a lot better than most people expected. The Cambridge Bruins were one game away from advancing to the playoffs. Three of the four teams finished the season with winning records.

The surprise team of the year was the Liberty Cobras. In the past four seasons, Liberty had gone 17-43. That record brought a new coach to town, and a new style of play. The Cobras turned into a hard-hitting, defensive minded team. Liberty became the first team in the history of the CPFL to knock off Moorhatch in the playoffs. The Cobras lost 23-19 in the CPFL 5 championship to Guyer. Had they not given up a late fourth quarter touchdown, Liberty would have pulled off the unthinkable.

Republic Conference Regular Season Champs
North Division- Moorhatch Hawks (11-2)
South Division- Liberty Cobras (9-4)

National Conference Regular Season Champs
North Division- Guyer Trojans (9-4)
South Division- Johnston Chiefs (10-3)

Conference Finals
Moorhatch Hawks 27
Liberty Cobras 41

Johnston Chiefs 6
Guyer Trojans 23

CPFL SEASON SIX

Season Six review: Moorhatch is back to their old ways
Churchma Sports Inc.

The Moorhatch Hawks let everyone in the country know that they are back- and looking as good as they ever have. After they beat Fenton 40-10 to win the Republic Conference Championship, they went to CPFL 6 to face the Guyer Trojans. This was Guyer's second straight championship appearance. Moorhatch didn't let off of the gas pedal at all- as they went on to crush Guyer 47-3.

Starting quarterback for the Hawks, Jimmy Kelly, had this to say after CPFL 6: "I don't think the Trojans ever realized we had a football game today, they never showed up! But this was one hell of a season, and it feels great to get my first championship under my belt as a Hawk."

The Johnston Chiefs were the team to beat going into the playoffs this season, after they posted a 12-1 regular season record. But yet again, the Chiefs choked in the conference final, and didn't make it to the championship. This was Johnston's fourth playoff appearance, and they've still never made it to th championship game.

Moorhatch Hawks head coach Ryan Kalapari decided that after six very succesful seasons: five CPFL championships, six playoff appearances, and a 67-19 record, that he would retired. "I've been around football for a long time, and it's been great to me and my family. But now that I'm getting older, and my kids are getting older, I need to be able to spend more time with them," Kalapari said. Kalapari went out of the CPFL as it's winningest coach thus far.

The Hawks went to Johnston to find their newest coach. Lawrence Killingsly led Johnston to four playoff appearances in the first six seasons of the CPFL. "This is a great time for me and my family to get up and start all over again. I want Hawks fans to know that we're going to have an explosive offense while I'm here, and we're going to do whatever we can to continue winning championships," Killingsly said. As Johnston's head coach he went 61-25 over the past six seasons.

CPFL SEASON SEVEN

Season Seven review: Guyer Trojans capture second title
Churchma Sports Inc.

The Guyer Trojans are doing more than enough to prove that this isn't the Hawks' league. The Trojans have won two of the last three CPFL championships; once over the Liberty Cobras, and this year over the Sullensville Thunder.

This season marks the fifth time in seven seasons that the Johnston Chiefs have made it to the playoffs, but not advanced to final game. "Our guys need to learn how to finish out games. I know I'm new in town, but this is flat out embarassing to me. To give up a touchdown to Guyer with one minute left in the conference championship is flat out unacceptable. All it took was one more minute of solid defense and we could have finally given the people of Johnston what they deserve- a chance at the championship," head coach Rob Hale said.

Another team that needs to learn how to finish games is the Lexington Spartans. Since they've joined the league three years ago, they have been two games from making the playoffs, one game away from the playoffs, and then on the wrong end of a tie breaker to enter the playoffs. The Spartans have been extremely close every year. Now that they've been in the league for a few seasons, maybe they'll be ready to go in the CPFL 8.

This season brought five coaching changes. Before this season the most coaching changes that occured was before CPFL 5, when three teams hired new coach's before the season started.

Republic Conference Regular Season Champs
