Tonight's cutoff will be delayed until at least 1901 UTC (2001 BST, 1501 ET), and potentially later. Frankly, I need enough of a nap to make sure I don't make horrific scorination errors this go-around.
Out of international isolation and... winning things? Huh?

Host: World Lacrosse Championship 13, Baptism of Iron X, 7th World Championships of Babbage Rules Football, and Games of the IX Olympiad.

Won: World Lacrosse Championship 13, Elephant Chess Cup 7, and Memorial Cup. Also top of the medals table at the Games of the IX Olympiad (24 gold, 63 total medals).
World Lacrosse Championship 12 and World Bowl 47 quarter-finalists, World Bowl XV and World Baseball Classic 20 octo-finalists
28 medals, 10 gold, at Games of the VI Olympiad (13th in medal table)
7 medals, 5 gold, at VII Olympic Winter Games (7th in medal table)
26 medals, 10 gold, at Games of the VIII Olympiad (9th in medal table)

Arbitary really, lol - I don't like saying a time is exactly on the hour because if it's midnight it's ambiguous what day it is ;)

I'm tempted to schedule cutoff for really weird times, like 8:17 PM. If it's a more memorable time, people are less likely to miss it or forget it. But then I'd get impatient when the clock struck 8 and it would annoy me. So it's not worth it.

I have a curious question; what areas of people's delegations have done best and worst, based on your expectations? Best for me has been shooting with one particularly incredible streak of golds, but athletics has been an utter disaster - so many 70-100's mauled in heats, including virtually all of my sprinters.

Definitely a mixed bag, but Aquatics seems to be in the lead 3G/2S/2B. Really would liked to have done better in the Archery, Sailing and Rowing. Gymnastics was a surprise, but came 4th in both team events! Too cruel :P

Diving has far exceeded my expectations - two gold medals with a mod of 50 and 48, and silver with a 48. On the other hand, in swimming I had only a bronze to show for an 80 skill modifier and a few silvers - but only one gold.

So far my 10 medals have come from:

Aquatics: 42 overall in 1,500m, 38 overall in 200m butterfly, 54 overall 4 x 100 freestyle, 54 overall 4 x 100 medley

Athletics: 75 overall long jump

Cycling: 42 overall road race

Equestrian: 38 overall dressage

Field Hockey: 39 overall

Triathlon: 50 overall

Freestyle Wrestling: 45 overall

So yeah. Swimming has been my best showing, but pretty much nobody that has won a medal was expected to win one, except for maybe an outside shot at the long jump. My 70+s have flopped more often than not.

Athletics, while not an utter disaster, has certainly been a struggle. I too have noticed how poorly a lot of my top ranked athletes are doing. Take the recent scorination as an example. Men's 400m Hurdles, the 100 rated Cristian Morante finishes 68th. Women's 200m, the 100 rated Alanis Valenín finishes 89th. Yet the 50 rated Jerrely Almeda is the fastest qualifier for the Women's 5,000m final. Keeps it interesting though.

Alright, I decided to look over the statistics of the medal winners and see what modifier I gave them;

Bronze - 85 70 90 90 30 80 20 Average: 66.42
Silver - (80/75/60) 90 85 85 (=OR) 20 70 50 85 80 Average: 70.74
Gold - 30 (OR) 95 40 40 75 90 80 100 100 Average: 72.22

Gold: 100, 100, 33, 26, [men's artistic gymnastics team: 88, 87, 70, 68, 65, 63]
Silver: 92, 88, 75, [women's artistic gymnastics team: 100, 94, 92, 92, 86, 76]
Bronze: 95, 59, 31, [mixed equestrian eventing team: 100, 98, 93, 86, 86]

There's definitely been a lot of randomness, which I have enjoyed. My delegation has done a lot better than expected, but not in every sport: rowing and canoeing have been disappointments, gymnastics and hockey obviously not. One observation is there seems to be less randomness the longer the event, which would be expected: thus racket sports and team sports see less randomness than weightlifting or shooting.

My 84 overall decathlete DNFs on the first event of the decathlon. Presumably he exploded or something, preventing him from participating in the other events. Oh well, at least I get to think up some gruesome sob story.

I've had a skill modifier 100 swimmer pull a DNF. So it happens. I think I said he pulled a muscle and couldn't compete or something.

At the 88 Olympics a highly regarded decathlete with hopes for Gold somehow pulled off 3 false starts and was out after the 100 m (rumours were he was doped and wanted to avoid being caught). So, yes, there are plenty of possibilities here and today they even haven't 3 false starts anymore if I'm correct.

And so we are almost done. Marathon results coming at 2100 UTC, 2200 BST, 1700 ET.

Immense gratitude goes to Liventia for co-scorination duties, to Zwangzug for adding some colour (and getting multi-sport hosting experience) with the demonstration events, to everyone who contributed RP that I enjoyed reading (and there was plenty of that), and above all, to everyone who stood up for me when I was completely incapable of standing up for myself. Given how close I was to "doing a Quak" and walking away, I can say with complete seriousness that you made the Games.
