The Mehdonesian Roster

The Mehdonesian Roster: Expert Opinions
The Mehdonesian Times

Here is an evaluation of the recently released Mehdonesian Roster for the 69th World Cup, our 3 football professionals at the Mehdonesian Times; Jeff Kilburne, Urs Boehler and of course, captain of the Mehdonesian female team Sushila Hilmarsson. The three of these have a collective time involved in football of over 70 years and have collectively won a grand total of one non-domestic trophy, however after a recent third-placed finish in the Jeck Empire Championship(may the legacy of the empire live on long after it's internet page is gone) the team have shown clear confidence going into the tournament. However in the Baptism of Fire leading into the tournament, they made a hasty exit having failed to win a single match.

In response to this astounding failure, the manager, Stan Jockall tried to reassure the Mehdonesian fans by saying,
"I don't want to talk about it."

Needless to say the Mehdonesian Roster has undertaken some changes since the BoF, most namely the replacement of experienced striker Wilfried Stern, instead being replaced by unknown youth Kennet Török(aged 15) who was signed by Blueville Wolves 3 years ago from the Gotta Have My Bowl Gonna Have Cereal side of Wordswick FC for a large sum of £200,000. When we asked our professionals about this replacement, they disagreed. Urs Boehler stated

"You can't simply remove a player of Stern's stature because of a few bad performances, especially at an event such as this where his experience is going to come into play so much for this team. I mean it's easy to look at the Baptism of Fire and judge him as bad because of that, but he has already shown his capabilty on various occasions."

However Sushila Hilmarsson argued,

"Problems on a team need to be solved, you can't have weak links placing a burden on the team, as well as this Mehdonesia look to the future with this choice, a 15 year old with so much potential has every right to be on that team."

There has also been more controversy over his position in the team as he wasn't born in Mehdonesia, however as Mehdonesia law states that if you are employed in Mehdonesia for 2 years then you can earn citizenship, he has recently made this change. The more traditional fans have shown outrage at this choice, in the recent census by the Mehdonesian government, over 60% called for changes in laws regarding citizenship, however these were disregarded.

There have also been 3 other changes;As Hyder Lundgren has retired from football he is replaced by 29 year old Gusztáv Lakatos, Mike Oxlong is replaced by Ferdinand Newport and finally winger Jordan Townsand departs after a recent string of "underwhelming performances".

The Roster

The Goalkeepers
GK- Boris 'the bear' Johannsen [C] 32 , No Club
In an interesting turn of events, the mayor of the Mehdonesian capital of Mehdonopolis is the captain of the team. Occupying the position of goalkeeper, he is essential to the team and is considered one of the more consistent players on the team, he should start every game in our opinion.

Ricardo Gnomes 31 ,Brunsbury Rangers
This goalkeeper has been on the scene for years now, he has played on over 8 Mehdonesian teams over the last 10 years and he has been in every national roster since 2004, the prescence of Johannsen explains his recent placement on the sub bench.

Bahd Hans-Johnsen 19 , No Club
Currently clubless, and this is easily justified by just about everyone. Considered the weakest player on the Mehdonesian almost unanimously by fans, even he himself acknowledges "if there was another keeper available i would be gone.

Gusztáv Lakatos 29, Harwick Rovers
Mediocre goalkeeper who refused to play for the national team until recently as he had a disagreement with the assistant manager as he allegedly called the crossbar 'the post' following a woodwork shot from Wilfried Stern in a training session.

The Centre Backs
Jack Dawson 22 , Brunsbury Rangers
The young centre back has been overlooked recently however our professionals still feel he will play in the tournament, he is seen as having a lot of potential and he has a lot of aerial ability as well as awareness.

Joel Cole 31 , Mehdonopolis Massers
This experienced defender has recently reached his peak following a fairly uneventful career beforehand, after amazing performances last year he was snapped up by Mehdonopolis Massers from Geraldsham town for a sum believed to be around £320,000, he looks to be a great player in this tournament, his main strong point is his positioning according to Jeff Kilburne.

Mike Wilson 22 , Blueville Wolves
One of the more controversial players on the squad, despite proving he is capable he will probably not play due to the incidents which happen when he does. Most famously the last national game he played where he kicked a football at the referee following his sending off.

Kim Yung-Chum 25 , Wordswick FC (Gotta have my bowl gonna have cereal)
Despite playing abroad, this centre back is still a fan favorite. He is less likely to start in the tournament as Jockall has shown a preference towards the other defenders.

Ivan Blue 33, Norborough Kings
This defender is the oldest player on the team and therefore he has the most experience. His strong defensive abilities are often under-rated in the opinion of our professionals as often his pace is critized, he is far past his physical peak.

The Full Backs

Giles Gillingham 29, Harwick Rovers
This left-back is considered one of the best in his position right now, despite this he has recently shown a slightly negative relationship with manager Stan Jockall and as a result he has not been played as much.

Miles Gillingham 26 , Norborough Kings
Brother of Giles Gillingham, this right back is perhaps seen as one of the weaker players on the time, despite having a lot of pace and acceleration. He is lacking in technique and ball control. He is played more often in a wing-back position.

Andy Heweer 17 , Mehdonopolis Massers
Unofficially hailed as the best Mehdonesian youngster, this left back has tons of potential and is already a regular member of the starting eleven. He is strong in all aspects and is especially famed for his long balls and crosses, as he often attacks as well as defends.

Billy Allen 18 , Oldview 'Oldies'(Gotta have my bowl gonna have cereal)
This right back has a bit of ability, but still doesn't have enough quality yet to start games, Jockall does bring him on if the win is secured but otherwise he makes a decent benchwarmer.

Skanda Salvage 23, Mehdonopolis Massers
This right back is the regular starter for Mehdonesia as together with Andy Heweer he forms the Massers full-back combo, they have great synergy but Salvage's main strength is his defence, he often plays like a third centre back, making vital tackles and interceptions consistently.

The Central Midfielders

Grigore Norling 24 , No Club
Despite his contract at Fogfield FC recently running out, he is still a reasonable player. Sometimes his passes aren' very accurate but he still makes up for that in other areas, especially his shooting from distance.

Rab Baanders 27 , Blueville Wolves
Possibly the most consistent player on the squad, a good all-rounder but he doesn't excel with any particular ability, he will normally sit on the bench

Kam Soucy 28 , Harwick Rovers
Despite being substitute for mid table team, Harwick Rovers, this player is still solid and is capable of producing wonders, he has a lot of strength and is a great holding midfielder.

Plinius 'P-diddy' Gorbould 17, Stoneacre FC
Described by Stan Jockall as "the glue of the team", this attacking midfielder is so skilled and capable. Shining through the Disappointing Baptism of fire performances, this player has shown his ability time and time again. He recently rejected a bid of around £35,000,000 to bring him away from Stonehaven, saying they were 'his team'

Mikołaj Naumov 31, Fogfield FC
A strong central midfielder, this player is more defensively orientated and he often looks a lot weaker when going forward. He is very skilled both on and off the ball.

The Wingers

Izaak Manns 26 , Norborough Kings
This pacy winger is best on a quick burst down the wing, he likes to cut in as opposed to crossing the ball. On the counter the team will be trying to get it to him.

Nikodem Zielinski 30 , Rack City (Jeckland)
This right footed winger is more based around his close ball control and crossing ability than his pace, whilst he isn't as pacy as Manns he often makes up for it with his passing play

Zlatan Nicolosi 28 , No club
Currently clubless, this left-winger has been very dissapointing recently, in the past when he reached his peak he was a truly amazing player, topping the Mehdonesian assists for two consecutive years.

Olav 24 , SRK Nilika
This left winger is a key component of the Mehdonesian attack, a guarenteed starter due to his ability to both score and create goals.

Bjarni Ozoliņš 20 , SRK Nilika
As he and Olav are teammates who play in the same position, he has adapted at his club to play just about everywhere; attacking midfielder, winger, striker and wingback. As he can play all of these to a good standard he is a very useful player, his main strength is that he can use both of his feet equally as well.

The Strikers
Adán Björnsson 30 , Harwick Rovers
A consistent striker who has a very strong aerial ability, he likes to drop back with the midfield when the team aren't attacking.

Kennet Török 15 , Blueville Wolves
A complete unknown in Mehdonesian football, according to the manager of 'the wolves' he shows a lot of potential and there's a good chance of him starting for the wolves next season.

Erasmo Argyris 19 , SRK Nilika
The normal starting striker for the side, he is pacy and powerful. However he is lacking in aerial presence as he is only 5 feet tall.

Rune Wojda 23, Wordswick FC (Gotta have my bowl gonna have cereal)
The eternal 'supersub', this young striker has failed to score in 14 starting appearances however in 4 substituted appearances he has scored 6 goals. Expect him to be brought on as a wildcard if Mehdonesia are struggling.

Here is the prediction of the formation for the Mehdonesian first game.

Image

Manager- Stan Jockall
The eternal optimist, the eternal motivator and the eternal idiot, Jockall has consistently showed that he has no knowledge of football and it is believed that he has retained his job mainly through friendship with high Mehdonesian FA figures.

Assistant Manager- Casimiro Picasso
Believed to be the man pulling all the strings, this experienced staff member has a great relationship with the team (with one exception), he is very professional and many believe he can step up to the plate for this tournament.

The Mehdonesian team makes it's first appearance in this tournament this year as the squad was only formed 10 years ago, normally more defensive formations are employed by them. They play in purple and their main rival is Gotta my bowl gonna have cereal, who they have beaten on the last 7 meetings. When we asked our professionals for their opinion, they all agreed that Mehdonesia were unlikely to move further than the group stage. Despite this manager Stan Jockall has said "You can't write us off yet, I still have some tricks up my sleeve"(before turning around to his goalkeeping coach and saying "find some tricks or you're fired".)

THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE FALLENMARK ISLANDS ROSTER FOR WORLD CUP 69
Nation Name: The Commonwealth of The Fallenmark Islands
(Though for short simply Fallenmark - the geographical name of the archipelago - is perfectly acceptable; provided you don't mind offending the autonomous nation of Cairnskillen. Following Cairnskillen's independence the politically correct name for the archipelago is Lesser Valhalla, but you're unlikely to see many Fallenmark call it that colloquially.)

STAFF:
Manager: Alexsandr van Sorensen (PIS), 42
Record in Charge: P 11, W 8, D 1, L 2, GF 25, GA 15, GD +10, WP 73%
A legend in Polarian football, Alexsandr van Sorensen has led his country out to two World Cup finals before whilst captain, and has since moved into coaching and the assistant manager's position at childhood club Jan Mayen Islanders. It would have had to have been a big job to tempt him away from the Ospreys, and so it was, as fellow Valhallan Union nation The Fallenmark Islands surveyed their options and invited van Sorensen to cut his teeth at management with them. He brings with him a mind bent on attacking football, a whole host of Baptism of Fire and international experience, as well as the best contacts a man can bring. Widely considered to be the best player to have ever pulled on the famous Terns jersey, for whom he'll likely be the record caps-holder forever, Alexsandr now has the perfect opportunity to become a legend in another Valhallan nation. Suffers from rare brain condition synaesthesia, which means his senses get all mixed up and confused in his head. However, he appears to have turned this into an advantage on the pitch, and in the dugout. His presence here guarantees a keen press interest from across the Multiverse.

Assistant Manager: Dietar Eygenroy (BLK), 48
A Blockhead with a history of being a keen disciplinarian, Eygenroy matches van Sorensen in being the captain of his national side at international level. In fact, with the lack of Bleak Rock representation in international football these days, Eygenroy's presence as assistant manager convinced a couple of the Blockheads with Fallenmark ties in the squad to switch allegiance to the Commonwealth. A hard-nosed defensive midfielder in his day, Eygenroy has plenty of experience dealing with defensive coaching and unusual formations, so his presence will be key to complementing and filling the gaps in van Sorensen's otherwise attacking focus. Both will be missed by Jan Mayen Islanders.

Coach: Mikkel Kovalyov, 47
Coach: Eyvindur Ramberg, 56
The Fallenmark connection in the coaching team ceoms from Kovalyov and Ramberg, who have been brought in from Marylebone Invicta and Marylebone Esprit respectively, primarily to work on fitness and conditioning.

PLAYERS:
#1 - GLK - Karl Pfennig - Age 28 - Image Marylebone Invicta (TFI) Image - 10 Caps

#2 - DEF - Niko Aamot - Age 25 - Image Hrafninn Knattspyrnufélag (BLK) Image - 11 Caps, 1 Goal
- Staggering tall and strong, Aamot has long been playing for Blockhead giants Hrafninn even before the creation of the MVP.

#3 - DEF - Valbjörn Kivivuori - Age 26 - ImageMarylebone Invicta (TFI) Image - 9 Caps
- Fleet of foot and with a wicked eye for a cross, Kivivouri is ideal for the wide defender role van Sorensen is planning to utilise.

- Moss drew widespread admiration for his performances for Kieslen last season, with rumours abound that Polarian clubs are in for him.

#5 - LIB - Eero Darmstadt - Age 28 - Image FF Berafjörðinn (BLK) Image - 11 Caps, 2 Goals, 3 Assists - CAPTAIN
- Scouted by Blockhead giants Berafjörðinn, Darmstadt's solidity, leadership, and creativity are key to the side. A born winner.

#6 - MID - Luc Tikkanen - Age 25 - Image Marylebone Esprit (TFI) Image - 10 Caps, 1 Goal, 1 Assist
- The utility man in the middle, Tikkanen's role will be to keep things tidy and keep things simple. An enforcer if required to be.

#7 - MID - Reuben Ness - Age 27 - Image SC Kiel (PIS) Image - 11 Caps, 2 Goals, 4 Assists - Vice-Captain
- A veteran of Divisjon One, highly thought of Ness has never been called up for the Terns and so accepted the call from van Sorensen.

#8 - MID - Dagbjartur Damkjaer - Age 27 - Image Gunnmarket (TFI) Image - 10 Caps, 2 Assists
- Happy to sit and dictate the play with his long-range accurate passing, Damkjaer has the ability to drop back into defence when needed.

#9 - FWD - Kjartan Dagfinnursson - Age 31 - Image FC Axel Heiburg (PIS) Image - 11 Caps, 5 Goals, 4 Assists
- Having renounced his previously Blockhead citizenship to accept the call-up, Dagfinursson brings a wealth of UICA experience to the team.

#10 - FWD - Klaus Just - Age 28 - Image FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls (PIS) Image - 11 Caps, 1 Goal, 3 Assists
- Another player previously thought of as Polarian, Just's father's place of birth means this experience attacker can feature here.

#11 - FWD - Eiríkur Beyer - Age 23 - Image Marylebone Esprit (TFI) Image - 11 Caps, 6 Goals, 4 Assists
- Fallenmark football's big hope for the future. Technically gifted and with a great strike, Beyer is the poster boy of the team.

~

#12 - GLK - Ruslan Korpelainen - Age 24 - Image Hreindýrsal Stríðsmaður (BLK) Image - 1 Cap
- A surprise transfer to Bleak Rock at the time, he has nonetheless shown his talents this season, and takes a well deserved call-up.

#13 - GLK - Martijn Bershadensky - Age 20 - Image Scheveningen Town (CSK) Image - Uncapped
- The youngest player in the squad, Bershadensky plies his trade in Cairnskillen and is first choice despite his age.

#14 - MID - Konstantin Uijanov - Age 33 - Image Gunnmarket (TFI) Image - 3 Caps
- Strong and experienced, Uijanov lacks the pace he once had but can be reliably brought on to kill a game off with his presence.

#15 - DEF - Klaus Minkowski - Age 28 - Image SV Auchtenmill (TFI) Image - 4 Caps, 1 Assist
- A roaming defender with an eye for goal from set pieces, Minkowski shines in an average Auchtenmill side.

#16 - DEF - Guðvarður Mogensen - Age 21 - Image Marylebone Invicta (TFI) Image - 4 Caps
- Another of the young hopes for the future of Fallenmark football, Invicta and now van Sorensen as well are placing a lot of faith in him.

#17 - MID - Oleg Urness - Age 26 - Image SV Kieslen Bridge (TFI) Image - 2 Caps, 1 Goal
- Never stops running and will never stop chasing what other people would consider a lost cause. Kieslen's captain at a young age.

#18 - FWD - Artemiusz Vyrubova - Age 29 - Image Marylebone Esprit (TFI) Image - 3 Caps
- A resident of Marylebone since he was just two years old, Vyrubova might as well be Fallenmark. Talented wide right with a fierce shot.

#19 - FWD - Niko Kekkonen - Age 29 - Image Novaya Sibir Reds (PIS) Image - 5 Caps, 1 Goal, 2 Assists
- Kekkonen is a dead ball expert and has tricks and flicks to spare. Not quite so good when tracking back but he offers an outlet up front.

#20 - FWD - Arnljótur Juran - Age 27 - Image Marylebone Invicta (TFI) Image - 7 Caps, 4 Goals, 1 Assist
- A little annoyed to have missed out on the starting spot to former Blockhead Dagfinnursson, Juran will be looking to prove a point.

#21 - MID - Hallvarður Gundersen - Age 27 - Image Marylebone Esprit (TFI) Image - 5 Caps, 1 Assist
- Gundersen has the ability to dictate play if you let him, and a long range thunderbolt of a shot to be proud of. Expect to see plenty of him.

#22 - DEF - Geirmundur Arne - Age 30 - Image SV Kieslen Bridge (TFI) Image - 3 Caps
- Tall, strong, and willing to stick a boot in, this experienced defender has seen nearly everything in his career at Kielsen.

#23 - DEF - Stepan Salamov - Age 31 - Image PVTCo (CSK) Image - 2 Caps
- A surprise inclusion over a few younger talents, Salamov will be looking to bring his well-timed tackling to the game if called upon.

TACTICS: "The Orion" 1-3-3-3
A student of the game, Alexsandr van Sorensen has gone back as far as the successful tactics used by Anders Laursen for SK Franz Josef City, way back in the 1950s, for his tactical inspiration. Drawing on the best traditions of Valhallan attacking football, the line-up aims to utilise attacking wide defenders when in possession, and a centrally based libero, Darmstadt, to swiftly turn defence into attack, whilst keeping things tight at the back thanks to the dropping presence of Damkjaer. The lop sided trio in midfield that gives the formation its nickname will aim to retain the ball, whilst Dagfinnurson will receive lots of support up front from the wing-attackers Just and Beyer, the latter of whom drops back to keep the three-man midfield when the opposition have the ball and Damkjaer is falling back to sit alongside Darmstadt. Darmstadt's free role makes it a difficult formation to write down numerically, even as a 1-3-3-3, but if you think of it as a 3-4-3 in attack and a 5-3-2 in defence then that's a good start.

About Legalese

Legalese is a gargantuan, cultured nation in the hallowed Northeast of Atlantian Oceania. It consists of two landmasses, the mainland and
the more recently-settled Karin Islands, and is located on the eastern side of the Calanian continent, between Lake Bekk on the west,
Audioslavia to the east, Starblaydia to the north, and Unolia to the south. For nearly three centuries, the People of Legalese have spent the majority
of their history in the shadow of their neighbors, including two periods of occupation by Starblaydia. Now, with the last occupation being something
their grandparents dealt with for most, they no longer just seek their own survival, but a place in the international community. As the host of World
Cup 68, along with a best-ever finish in the quarterfinals, the message is clear: the Legalites are back, and they're not ones to take lightly.

The Staff
Manager: Ben Gammal. Gamma, in his early thirties, seemed both a sensible yet surprising choice to replace the outgoing Stan Thate as the next manager. While young and low on experience, Gammal's CV is already fairly strong. A former club player in Comunas, he was tapped to lead the side as they joined the Legalese National Championship system some six years ago. In that time, he has led the Cougars to two National Championships, two national cup victories, and a record of overperformance with a side often underestimated. He debuted with the National side during AOCAF XLIV with a quarterfinal finish, keeping up the hopes of the Legalites. The one disadvantage he holds to his predecessor, however, is the fact that he has to survive qualifying first.

Head Coach: Liam Todd. Todd, in his late thirties as well, has followed a path similar to his former boss - a decade of International play, followed by transitioning into a player-coach role, before retiring from play entirely to take a full-time coaching role. The former defender epitomizes the attacking style of the NT, having scored a dozen goals to go with the countless number he helped prevent.

The Eleven
As will be made clear, it is highly unlikely that, given the strain of playing a full Ligania season for most of the side, in addition to a desire by Gammal to evaluate his side as they pick the 23 who will likely represent the side in the World Cup Finals (if they are so lucky), there will be such a thing as a true Starting XI.
That said, The Legalese City Docket, the nation's newspaper of record, loves to speculate on the possiblities, and has posted the likely first-choice lineup, which we share here:

Image

As Legalite football tends to be attacking/possessive in its style, they will play with a +4 modifier.

The Kits
The Legalites will again wear the kits provided by Kirola of Audioslavia. The most recent edition of the shirts debuted for the World Cup 68 Finals:
Image

Stadia
For the seven anticipated home matches, the NT will utilize three sites, spread across the nation:

Community Stadium Comunas, Island Region: Comunas is a little-discussed city, the smallest locale to host a game in Legalese during this World Cup. Founded some fifty years ago, the port setting helped with its quick growth, though it is still outstripped by the central city of Tyrellia by threefold. However, they sure love their soccer here, a process helped by the success of the Cougars. This growth and popularity of the game was enough to have them included in the plans for the World Cup 68 finals, and will be the host of the lone qualifier to be played on the Karin Islands. Seating 48,240 with four separate stands, the location is still on the small side by Legalite standards, but will be packed with loyal fans.

The Park of the Phoenix Tiberia, North Region: Built for the 52nd Baptism of Fire, The Park of the Phoenix still retains the feel of a somewhat new stadium - helped by a "refreshing" done in preparation for World Cup 68. Since it opened with a Legalite 1-0 victory over Audioslavia, it has been a favored secondary hosting site for the National Team, likely a factor in its choice as both the Matchday Three side for the Hosts, along with the Legalite-hosted Semifinal. Featuring a movable natural grass pitch and a retractable roof - when open, the stadium looks like a cauldron with the folded roof pieces the flame - it remains the pinnacle of sporting arena technology in the nation, and seats 63,239.

National Stadium Legalese City, Capital Region: Then, of course, there's only one true home for the National Team - the fittingly-named National Stadium. It also underwent a significant refreshing in preparations for World Cup 68, where it hosted one match, and one match only: The Final. 83,068 fans - the bulk from Legalese and Vilita - took every ticket available for the final. With four more opportunities to see the National Team in action this cycle, it seems likely that the Legalites will do their duty and fill it to capacity time and time again.

RP Permissions:
Should my opponent RP first, I grant them permission to utilize my team in any and all ways that they also permit in their own RP permissions, short of death and/or obviously serious injury to my players. That is, consider your RP permissions to be my RP permissions for the purposes of RPing a match between us, with the only exception listed above. Should you have an intense desire to cause serious harm to one of my players, feel free to either seek help with the nearest professional who deals in such matters, or shoot me a TG/message me on IRC if I'm around #nssport to propose ideas.

Additonally, this also means that should one not post a Roster or RP Permissions, one is not permitted to do a damn thing.

The Icemark WC LXIX Roster

Postby The Icemark » Mon Jul 21, 2014 6:07 am

The Icemark National Football Squad

Image

Official Nation Name: The Kingdom of the Icemark
Country Code: ICE
Colours: Blue & White
International Record: P 140 W 62 D 26 L 52

Formation & Tactics

The Icemark opt for a basic 4-4-2 formation with the defence playing a high line, one midfielder playing a reserved holding role and one bursting forward. The wingers are encouraged to get forward as often as possible with the fullbacks overlapping them. They opt for a little and large duo upfront with one dominating the aerial balls and the other handling the technical work.

Image

Roster

Manager/Coach: Erik Erikson (Age: 40 Pevious Jobs: Frostmarris)
There was only ever going to be one candidate worthy of the honour of the national coach of the Icemark. The committee voted unanimously in favour of Erik Erikson getting the job. Out of all the candidates on the list he's record stood taller than any other. Leading Frostmassis to the league championship , before victory in the play-off series.

GK Halvor Sigurdson (Age: 30, Club: Old Haven, International Clean Sheets: 0)
Halvor Sigurdson is a safe pair of hands and is a competent shot-stopper, has good agility and is solid at handling. He has fantastic reflexes and seems like most good goalkeepers to be improving with age.

RB Lokri Lindstorm (Age: 27, Club:Inglesby, International Goals: 0)
Lokri Lindstorm is a attacking full back that will often get forward to support the attackers. This does leave a lot of space at the back but he normally has enough pace to make it back in time.

CB Oswald Brerton(Age: 29, Club: Bolby, International Goals: 0)
Oswald Brerton is a blunt old-fashioned defender that strikes fear into attackers with his aggressive and sometimes brutal tackling. The most likely player to be sent off, he is well known for getting into confrontations with referees and spectators alike. He lacks any pace so can be got at by quicker opponents. However he is very loud on the pitch and Marshals the defence well.

CB Baldur Ireton (Age: 28, Club: Barrowby , International Goals: 0)
Baldur Iretonreads the game very well, is a precision tackler and good marker. He is speedier than his defensive partner, which means sometimes he has to recover for his slowness and get him out a hole. He is not without his flaws though as he lacks the strength of his partner and is not great at dealing with crosses.

LB Dag Theogard (Age: 32, Club: Michael's Bay, International Goals: 0)
Dag Theogard is a solid if unexciting full back that does his job but rarely supports the left winger in getting forward. His small stature for a defender means he is often brushed off the ball too easily. He is the weak link in the defence but has a good heart.

RM Drakon Stagapoulous (Age: 26, Club: Bendis, International Goals: 0)
Drakon Stagapoulous serves the team as a large pacey right winger, who can leave anyone for dead with his strength and speed that terrifies defenders. However he lacks any accuracy in his crossing and shooting making him less than the all-round winger he aims to become.

CM Gostav Thorson (Age: 25, Club: Frostmarris , International Goals: 0)
Gostav Thorson is the workhorse of the team. A determined player who makes up for what he lacks in skill with his tireless passion. He will mostly opt for simple passes and won’t overplay. Defensively though He excels at tackling and intercepting passes. He is excellent at protecting both the back four, and the attackers know they are well shielded when they go forward.

CM Finn Jorgenson (Age: 24, Club: Learton, International Goals: 0)
Finn Jorgenson is a possession footballer with great vision and long range passing ability. He produces fantastic bursting runs forward, is difficult to brush off the ball and has a drilling strike.

LM Kallias Erresos (Age: 21, Club: Bendis, International Goals: 0)
Kallias Erresos is a pacey winger that excels in counter-attack situations. He has a wicked left foot that makes him either a threat when striking or crossing the ball. He is also a Free-kick specialist that can put a deadly spin on the ball.

ST Markos Celeste(Age: 23, Club: Bendis, International Goals: 0)
Whilst not being the most creative and technically gifted player in the team Markos Celeste is big and physical, can hold the ball up better than anyone, and is ferocious in the air. Scored plenty of goals for Bendis this season and is the focal point of the attack.

ST Kol Lindenshield (Age: 17, Club: Frostmarris, International Goals: 0)
Kol Lindenshield is one of the most exciting prospect that The Icemark has. Sometimes he has to wait for his opportunity to come but when it does there is no one more reliable than him to take it and convert it. He is in some way the talisman of the team. He is the most clinical finisher and has the added bonus of being good in the air. He can sometimes disappear when the going gets tough but can always be relied on to pop up in the right place when needed.

Player Roles

Captain: Halvor Sigurdson
Free-Kicks: Kallias Erresos
Corner Kicks: Kallias Erresos
Penalty Kicks: Kol Lindenshield

Kit

The Icemark play in their traditional blue and white colours. The Kit is releatively simple in design with the national snow leopard emblem in the top right corner. The Kit was supplied by Kirola Sports in Audioslavia.

Potential starting lineup (5-1-3-1): Partridge; Darby, Abel, Vilhjalmsson, van Dijk, Cottee; Pongia; Weaver, Gabi, Henare; Rademaker. This will change!

With the Kytlerians having ridden the tiki-taka horse to the DBC semi-finals, they're not hopping off it, and that translates to a -2.718 style modifier. It would've been even deeper in negative territory were it not for the talent of Gabi (it was -3.142 for the DBC), one of the few survivors from the Kytlerians' latest entry into international isolation.

Due to preparations for the Olympic Games taking the Zube Olympic Stadium out of action, all Kytlerian home matches will take place at the newly-built Estadio Esarra Stadium, in the Hispanic hub of Santa Mordana in the south-west of the country. The area behind one goal (not shown in this picture) has only a single tier of seats.
Image

RP permissions basically boil down to "do what you like, iff it's realistic." I may plan something a bit ICly paranoid from the Kytlerian authorities for the matches (away matches, especially) against the psychotic dictatorships in my group, and I ask you to respect these permissions (which I'll likely discuss via TG/IRC as well as on here).
Out of international isolation and... winning things? Huh?

Host: World Lacrosse Championship 13, Baptism of Iron X, 7th World Championships of Babbage Rules Football, and Games of the IX Olympiad.

Won: World Lacrosse Championship 13, Elephant Chess Cup 7, and Memorial Cup. Also top of the medals table at the Games of the IX Olympiad (24 gold, 63 total medals).

7 medals, 5 gold, at VII Olympic Winter Games (7th in medal table)

QPeMA Squad World Cup 69

Nickname: “The Footballing Time Jumping Pirates” or something that more readily slides off the tongue like “The B*stard Squad

Stadium: A barren wasteland out in the West of Queer Poco el Mono Ara. The pitch markings are made from our enemy’s blood and the goal posts from a collection of skulls. Or they would be, if the Jewel in the Desert wasn’t still standing. The tour guide for world cup 58 states “ The 60,000 all seater stadium was purpose built for the most recent Baptism of Fire held here in Queer Poco el Mono Ara and Nethertopia. A desert oasis amongst the white pyramids of Monolithia the Jewel in the Desert is an glorious sight to behold amongst the backdrop of ancient Queer Poco el Mono Ara. But just because it’s out in the desert doesn’t mean our visitors will feel isolated from civilization. The area is home to an opulent complex of hotels, restaurants, night clubs and high fashion boutiques for those of you looking to take an expensive souvenir home.” Following the civil war, some of this may not be totally true...

First Team Coach: Anderson Rodriguez (57). Rodriguez has never tasted the big time, he once had trials at Redfern And Bridges when he was 19, but was never truly good enough to play football professionally, or semi-professionally for that matter. He played Sunday league for a hatful of different teams before retiring aged 30. He since managed Northern division B side Mountford Rangers for 20+ years and became known for his aggressive style on the touchline, receiving bans for numerous incidents, including head-butting the opposition’s physio.

Assistant: Theodore “Teddy” Francis (44). Teddy, nicknamed for his hairy, almost bear like appearance was Rodriguez assistant at Mountford. The 6ft 6inch behemoth is generally very amiable and placid and is usually the foil to Rodriguez volatile temperament, however should he feel he his team has been wronged he can and will fly into an awe-inspiring rage.

Physiotherapist: Raymond Rudd (35). Raymond is a damned good physio, and so he should be, he inflicted a great deal of injuries during his own playing career, playing down the league pyramid for the likes of Sunshine Village and Renato Albion.

Goalkeeper: #1 Esteban Vicente (29) Port Los Renato. Esteban was known as a good shot stopper with decent reflexes, but was better known for his gambling problem. Having gotten in big with some bad men, the PLR keeper was soon taking brides and match fixing. By time travelling into the future, his 20 year ban from all football activity is pretty much void.

Right Back: #2 Umit Yilmaz (21) Augustus. Augustus have a habit of churning out success stories, but this particularly gifted wingback wasn’t one of them. The tear away defender was a good wingback, but wasn’t happy with his lot in life and got in with a street gang, one thing led to another and after being caught on CCTV mugging an elderly woman, the 21 year old said goodbye to his football career and hello to some jail time.

Left Back: #3 Jonathan Lieberman (30) Hunslet Wanderers. Jonathan “Bruiser” Lieberman wasn’t a bad footballer, just a dirty footballer. The left back played over 200 games for Hunslet in 10 years, missing dozens through suspensions.

Centre Back: #6 Willard Ramsey (28) MS Leighton. Affray, assault, perjury, Willard was a wrong ‘un. Except, on a technicality the centre back was acquitted and never served any jail time. He was however released from his contract at MS Leighton and moved overseas to play in the minor leagues.

Defensive Mid: #4 Ignasi Etxeberria (31) Ajax Khaldoon II. When Ajax were still a League II side Etxeberria played at the heart of their midfield. A defensive minded player who could break up an attack with a sixth sense for spotting danger from a mile away, the only problem was, his method of breaking up the play, with a leaping tackle or a swinging elbow.

Defensive Mid: #5 Nadir Slimani (19) Roehampton. The Queer Poco Central Division 2 young player of the year had a slight problem controlling his temper, in his two seasons with the club Slimani was sent off 4 times and sent home from training after a bust up with the club’s manager. His foul temper rather than his footballing ability was the main reason Nadir had failed to make it professional after being dumped by the Pythons youth set up.

Central Midfield: #10 Giovanni Van Dyke (25) 1860 Flumineiro. At the height of his ability Giovanni was equally as good as his famous younger brother, but a problem with narcotics saw him suspended and his career stall. At 25, he had only begun dabbling but was extra intense on the field while playing for Pocoan Premier League side 1860.

Right Wing: #7 Gonzalo Alves (27) Alsop Town. Gonzalo was released from his contract with Valengren Kickers after testing positive for half a dozen different steroids and enhancers. Sadly, the talented winger didn't need them and blew his career.

Left Wing: #11 Ken Anyon (21) Ridgemont Town. Quick, agile and a very good crosser, it's just a shame he's an outspoken tosspot. In his brief career he has managed to upset the Catholic church, gay rights advocates, the national football team, other celebrities and even his own family.

Central Midfield: #8 James Carr (28) Belle-Isle On Sea. Midfielder Carr is the most white collar of our villains elect, having swindled thousands from a charity he set up for children with chronic asthma. Decent midfielder, handy from a dead ball.

Centre Forward: #9 Prince Saladin Bakhiri (18) Royal Khaldoon. The prima donna striker was a fully fledged member of the Pocoan royal family and the first to play football professionally. Using his connections at the club more than his ability, the striker, who showed some promise never really fulfilled his potential and continued to whinge, even when he was included in the QPeMA Di Bradini Cup squad.

NOW WITH SUBSTITUTES

Right Back: #12 Liam Gleeson (17) Valengren Kickers. Gleason is a pyromaniac....

Goalkeeper: #13 Mesut Kowalski (40) MS Leighton. Sex and drugs and rock and roll were three things Mesut steered clear of during his long career, so what makes him such a bad man? Well, his hardcore Christian upbringing makes him kind of a downer, constantly preaching “thou shalt not, do unto others etcetera.” Which, for those of us who follow a more secular path, it makes him the biggest bastard of them all, telling us how to live our life, based on some ancient book.

Central Mid: #14 Lester Teagues (22) Hunslet Wanderers. Lester was a talented young man, could have probably made it at a team at the lower end of the Una Serie, but he fell in with a bad crowd... that crowd being a bunch of white supremacists. His team decided to sever all ties with the midfielder after he was pictured at several rallies.

Central Defence: #15 Raymondo Arturo Salazar Vega (31) Lingwell Rangers. Playing in the Northern second division means Raymondo wasn’t particularly well paid. Being a big lad he earned some extra money working on the side as the muscle for a local loan shark. He was a relatively good centreback who had two decent feet, that he used during the week to kick lumps out of people.

Winger: #16 Dax Blackwood (29) Allied Motor Trade. If you were a fan of the Pocoan lower divisions, you maybe heard of Dax. He was a talented winger who could play with either foot, the only problem was his bouts of psychotic rage. Suspended for 2 years for putting an opposition defender in a chokehold he eventually got his comeuppance when he thought he’d try his luck at UFC.....

Centre Forward: #17 Vijay Kandakram (22) Skyte City. A legit international footballer. Kandakram has played in and.. potentially scored at the world cup (maybe). Burst onto the scene playing for Skyte City and then for Atletico Jutense in Cafundeu, before the pressure got too much for him and he sloped off to join a cult overseas. It all got a little wacky and convoluted from there and there never quite seemed to be an end to the story....

First of all, everyone except newbies knows that the Archregimancy is a nation of Eastern Orthodox Christian monks from an alternate reality, right?

The Monastic Football Association is still trying to cope with the fact that the Monastic Republic actually won the last Cup of Harmony. This was admittedly under unusual and somewhat controversial circumstances; see the following three links:

viewtopic.php?p=19898182#p19898182
viewtopic.php?p=19949215#p19949215

Summed up, while the Archregimancy won the Cup of Harmony final, they refused to accept the trophy, returning it after melting it down into 30 pieces of silver. Please feel free to use this as an RP point in your RPs

All the same, the team did rather well in difficult circumstances - though equally, they wouldn't have been in the Cup of Harmony if they hadn't been a rare qualification group top seed that failed to qualify for the WC 68 finals.

Unsure about what to do about all of this, the MFA have entered an unchanged team into WC 69, to see if God's guidance becomes any clearer after a second WC campaign with the same individuals.

Tips for footballing visitors to the Archregimancy:

1) Each home match is preceded by the complete Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom. Rest assured that this should only require visiting teams, fans, and officials to stand for a mere 2 hours before kickoff. Consider yourselves lucky we don't use the Liturgy of St. Basil. This isn't required or expected at away matches (though it's always hugely appreciated when a host Association/Federation does do so).

2) We control the nature of reality in the Dreamed Realm. This isn't used to cheat - all normal rules of football are strenuously followed - but it does have two major side effects:
A) Any injuries to either team in Archregimancy home matches are immediately healed.
B) No violent or riotous behaviour by visiting fans will be tolerated. Any such behaviour will find those responsible immediately transported back to ordinary physical reality.

3) Direct travel from ordinary physical reality to the Dreamed Realm is impossible. Some 72 hours before your away qualifier in the Archregimancy, a team of monks shall arrive in your home stadium and construct a portal to the Dreamed Realm. You may then use this to travel to the Archregimancy at your leisure.

4) Visiting support is limited to a maximum of 2000 fans (which is generous by recent Archregimancy standards).

5) Women are not usually permitted into the Archregimancy. Exceptions will be made for visiting players and properly accredited officials - largely because we have to - but not fans (OOC: nations sometimes ask me about sneaking in female fans as accredited officials; this is acceptable).

6) Formerly, the Archregimancy made a point of being resentful of being forced to permit atheists, communists, freemasons, assorted heretics and foul excelites into the Archregimancy for home qualifiers. These days the Monastic Football Association tries a little harder to welcome all of the above – though largely in the hope that they might just possibly be open to conversion through a slightly more conciliatory approach.

HOME GROUND

For the second cup in a row, home qualifiers will be at the ground of the relatively comfortable Holy Monastery of Iviron. The following picture shows the South Stand of the Holy Mother of God, behind one of the goals.

OOC: I realise my team might present a role-playing challenge. Rest assured that once they start playing they'll play just like any other team (though they might be a bit more inclined to pray after scoring), so I have no problem with you treating the team like any other if you don't want to deal with the Orthodox Christian element.

Kinitaria National Football Team
For the 69th World Cup Qualifiers
Image

Kinitaria have made nine attempts to qualify for the World Cup. They have qualified automatically once, and registered five playoff defeats (and zero wins) in that time. The earlier expectation of Kinitar fans has turned into a sort of resigned frustration as they enter their tenth cycle without some key players due to retirement or injury, and they won't be playing any of it at home. As riots and a near civil war situation descend on Kinitaria, the team made a daring escape to Torisakia, Kinitaria's closest neighbour, just a short journey south, where they requested, and received, asylum from the Torisakian government. They will be based there for the duration of qualification.

Manager: Melody Pond (age 42)
Melody's earlier achievements, including a third-place finish at the Cup of Harmony and Kinitaria's only World Cup finals appearance to date, are starting to fade into irrelevance for Kinitar fans frustrated at the team's lack of progress. A playoff defeat to eventual world champions Vilita last time around was nothing to be ashamed of, but the patience of the FFK is wearing thin. It's rumoured that they were prepared to sack Melody in the wake of the last cycle, but events in Kinitaria meant that the FFK soon had other things on their mind.

Players
Being stranded outside of your home country means you have to make do with what you have. The squad had already been altered, and the retirement of fan favourites like Ciprian Marin and Sergiu Vacarestič (who retired with a record 181 caps) has left a gaping hole in Melody Pond's traditional system.

1. Semil Alčer - GK - age 33 - Universita Tirinthea - 23 caps - 0 goals
Alčer is the new number one, following the retirement of Jaren Kozak from international football. He comes into the Kinitaria squad without a great deal of experience, but does have a deep-seated desire to cement his place in the starting 11 before one of his challengers can snatch it away from him.

2. Birka Sulemcev - LB - age 32 - AFC Damaciu - 26 caps - 0 goals
The tradition of the Kinitar game is for hard, physical play, and that's definitely what Melody Pond was looking for when she called Sulemcev up to the national side. A real tough left-back, he's known as a dogfighter back at his club for his persistance and constant physical presence in all areas of the game. He's hard but fair in the tackle - unless he gets carried away in the heat of the big game.

3. Kovra Mircič - CB - age 28 - Civita Mi'ato - 14 caps - 0 goals
Mirčic is a strong, intelligent centre-back who has shown his talent for his club. He's also the kind of defender who doesn't really care if he takes out the man, as long as he's sure to get the ball at the same time. He's good at reading the game, and will "take one for the team" by committing a "tactical foul" when necessary. This does give him a disciplinary record that could pose Kinitaria a problem, though.

4. David Topol - CB - age 32 - Mi'ato - 67 caps - 4 goals
Following an impressive breakthrough in the Premier Division, Topol has earned his place in the national team. He's not the tallest of players, but he makes up for it in determination and technical ability. He's remarkably calm under pressure, and is one for the big games, and has now established himself as a deserving member of the first team squad.

5. Tondro Shildir - RB - age 28 - Universita Tirinthea - 17 caps - 2 goals
Melody Pond was left with a problem in picking her team for this World Cup, in that both of her right-backs had retired from international football. The bulky Shildir has been asked to fill in, and with his stamina, aggression and determination, he's widely expected to be a perfect fit for the Kinitar style of play.

6. Zemir Pavlov - RM - age 27 - AFC Damaciu - 17 caps - 3 goals
Pavlov certainly brings plenty of enthusiasm as well as a bit of pace, and is certain to always give 100% every game. That said, he's still very fresh and not used to the rigours of the high-level game. His international appearances have been sporadic at best, and after provisionally being named in the first team, might find it hard to adapt.

7. Samuel Costica - CM - age 35 - Inovita - 95 caps - 14 goals
He's made a strong and consistent impact on the national team since being brought through from the youths in the 62 qualifiers, and now he's been rewarded for years of good service with a spot in the first team and the number seven shirt. Expect him to try to use his pace to beat his marker before spreading the ball out wide to launch an attack. Distribution is definitely one of his strong points.

8. Malen Elkinič - CM - age 29 - Mi'ato - 56 caps - 15 goals
A pacy midfielder, Elkinič provides some much-needed speed to Kinitaria's midfield line. Despite being one of the youngest members of the team, he's slotted into the squad well and works well with his team-mates. He's a very attack-minded player and gets a fair few goals out of this, but it often means that he's caught too far upfield and is vulnerable to the counter-attack.

9. Virne Limcič - FW - age 30 - Atletika Vanuku - 28 caps - 10 goals
After impressing in the domestic game, Limcič was been rewarded with a spell in the national team, and was given a shot at impressing the manager during WC67 qualification. He stepped up to the big time in style and contributed some crucial goals, firing him up the list and giving Pond a real selection dilemma in attack.

10. Navra Kulisev - CF - age 28 - Mi'ato - 51 caps - 28 goals
Wearing the number 10 shirt of national legend Luka Sabčot certainly gives him some huge boots to fill. He's happy to take on the challenge, and all the early signs are good. He's an excellent finisher, but is not unknown to have a go from long-range either. He's not 100% confident of himself yet, and can be nervous for big games, but a few key goals in WC68 qualification have made him the first choice.

11. Himo Kazran - LM - age 28 - FC Serenberg - 17 caps - 4 goals
A strong and bulky midfielder, but often a careless one, he's more adept at defending than creating chances. He doesn't fit the traditional Kinitar style, which involves pacy attacking wingers, but he's been brought in to try and provide some support to the infamously leaky Kinitar defence. He's not as physical as some of his team-mates, but will make himself a nuisance to opposing attackers.

12. Doriel Azinovič - GK - age 38 - AFC Damaciu - 1 cap - 0 goals
Is this his chance? Well, erm, possibly. Azinovič has been a member of the squad for some four cycles now without receiving a cap, mainly because the goalkeeper position has been dominated by his rivals for so long. This might be the only chance he ever gets, so if he does get called up to the plate, he'll be chomping at the bit to retain his position.

13. Niko Alcič - RM - age 21 - Civita Mi'ato - 0 caps - 0 goals
He burst through into the first team for his club last season, and caught the attention of many in Kinitaria. It's hoped that he'll be able to repeat his performances for his country, although Pond claims that she won't be throwing him in at the deep end. Probably won't feature that much in the squad this cycle.

14. Vilo Mulkanov - CM - age 25 - Dinamo Paleu - 18 caps - 5 goals
He enjoyed hero status for a while. He scored the vital goal in the 9th minute of added time that fired Kinitaria to the 67 finals, as well as a crucial last-minute winner against the Sova Empire to keep their hopes alive in the first place. Sadly, he's been unable to build on that success, and remains very much a bit-part player.

15. Mihail Beloev - CB - age 20 - Universita Tirinthea - 0 caps - 0 goals
Beloev wouldn't have been most people's first choice for a call-up, but he's made a few Premier Division appearances and looked fairly solid, and Pond wants to have some younger players in her team to counter-balance her faith in her ageing first team. He's a more technical sort of defender, in contrast to the hard men typically utilised in the Kinitar style.

16. Kiril Dalmerov - FW - age 27 - Civita Mi'ato - 4 caps - 0 goals
Some will ask why Dalmerov hasn't been handed a spot in the national team sooner. It's true that he's certainly capable of scoring some stunning goals, but he does blow hot and cold, and is liable to switch off at the key moment. Look for him to be brought on if Kinitaria desperately need goals, rather than someone who'll dominate the attack.

17. Paolo Izmar - LB - age 26 - Obiša Litora - 7 caps - 0 goals
It's a mixture of youthful determination and physical play that have seen Izmar get handed a chance at the very highest level. When he's on form, he'll command the defence like no-one else, and is thoroughly terrifying to play against. When he's off form, he's still terrifying, but only because he'll probably break someone's leg and get sent off.

18. Ivan Alič - FW - age 23 - Obiša Litora - 0 caps - 0 goals
Despite being largely untested at the top level, Alič might be called into service more often than he'd expect this cycle, owing to the reduced fitness of the other attackers, who aren't as young as they once were. Alič is a versatile player who can score and create goals in equal measure, but he doesn't always perform to his top level under pressure.

19. Kaspar Erdinev - LM - age 20 - Mi'ato - 0 caps - 0 goals
Erdinev is another relatively unheralded winger, although he does have some Premier League experience under his belt and has shown himself to be a solid performer. He has pace, he has strength, he even has a few goals in him, but his tactical awareness is still a bit lacking, and he's found himself caught out too far forward a couple of times.

20. Telmar Brizi - CB - age 29 - Obiša Litora - 4 caps - 0 goals
Although nominally a centre-back, Brizi can play anywhere in defense and has some capabilities in midfield as well. He's not going to amaze the world, wherever he plays, but seems to have been brought in as a substitute who can shore up Kinitaria's leaky back-line when needed, and he makes up for this by always putting in maximum effort in games and in training.

21. Erekor Finalev - CM - age 24 - Civita Mi'ato - 9 caps - 1 goal
Despite fitting Pond's policy of giving youth a chance, Finalev has been included more as a chance for one of Kinitaria's finest young players to gain experience, than as a world-class player who'll dazzle the world. He's yet to play a single competitive match, and is considered little more than a backup to the first team.

22. Samor Petran - RB - age 25 - Mi'ato - 2 caps - 0 goals
If that name looks familiar, well, Samor is the son of Costin Petran, who wore the number 1 shirt for the national team for a decade. He's determined to make his own name for himself, and his "take no prisoners" style of defending has won him many fans amongst the Mi'ato faithful. Might well get a chance to shine in the national side.

23. Bravi Pirnišov - GK - age 30 - AFC Damaciu - 0 caps - 0 goals
A third choice keeper. You can insert your own joke about how they're largely irrelevant.

Kits

Some of the players refused to wear the red star emblem of the Kinitar Football Federation, or the logo of state sports company KT-Sport, owing to dissatisfaction with current affairs in Kinitaria. The team will therefore wear these unbranded outfits that they acquired in Torisakia.

Stadium
Kinitaria traditionally play at the modern, all-seater, 76,000 capacity Central Stadium in Mi'ato, the capital of Kinitaria. However, owing to recent events, and as the team has been granted temporary asylum by the government of Torisakia, all of Kinitaria's 'home' matches will take place in Koradai, Torisakia. Visiting fans are urged not to travel to Kinitaria, both because it's highly dangerous, and because you won't find the game you're looking for in any case. Visiting fans should also refer to the travel advice given by the Torisakia authorities before attending any Kinitaria home matches. Despite their deep-seated passion, it is unlikely that Kinitar fans will be able to attend their 'home' games, and certainly not in any great number.

Defending World Cup Champions
World Cup 20 & World Cup 68

The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium (87,000 Seating Capacity) in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali-Ring. The Tivali-Ring complex was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict. 'The Ring' has since hosted countless international matches including high profile matches such as the World Cup 31 Final and the 40th Series 'B' Champions Cup Final.

Despite being based at the Ring, The Football Association of Vilita regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the 87,000 capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali-Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, domestically for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchups. The Football Association typically releases a stadium schedule when applicable.

The coaches will select the squad from the National Player pool. Players are listed below, grouped by position and sorted by projection 'Depth Chart' position where the top player listed is most likely to be named the first player selected for that position, and so on. Depth chart positions are determined by performance in pre-cup training sessions, as well as performance and average ratings in the Vilitan League competition and previous appearances for the National Team.

GOALKEEPERS:

Zelkki Milake [ - Lonngeylin Coast - ]
GK ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 14 :: GOALS:0 ) :: [ N/R ]
An aspiring Astronaut, Zelkki Milake's sporting career took added importance when he signed for Eastal Lunar FC at the age of 16 and immediately became the clubs starting goalkeeper for the Season 41 Declasse Division campaign. Milake kept a series of clean sheets that kept Eastal Lunar in the top half of the table for the majority of the season and still mathematically in the hunt for promotion entering the final matchday. The 1-0 victory over Akisa Surta combined with a Turoki Isle draw propelled Eastal Lunar into the top two and ensured that the young Milake would be thrust into action against some of the top players in the world as a Stellar Division goalkeeper for V-League Season 42. It wasn't at Eastal Lunar that Milake would make a name for himself, however. The young Vilitan goalkeeper opened his International Career with four-consecutive clean sheet performances and earned a place as a reserve player on the World Cup 67 World XI team. The performances for the National Team would earn Milake a transfer to Lonngeylin Coast after Eastal Lunar's Season 42 relegation. World Cup 68 Would be a coming out part for Milake who was in goal for the Jungle Cats as they lifted the World Cup Trophy for the first time in 48 editions with a 4-2 win over the Free Republics, making Milake one of the youngest starting netminders to win the World Cup.

Jaqe Planst [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
GK ( AGE: 32 CAPS: 34 :: GOALS:0 ) :: [ 5.18 Average Rating ]
Planst was acquired by Cednia Beach AFC after playing just 1 match in Season 26 for Arcticala Inlet. Planst helped the Turorian side to second place in the VLeague 27 table and a return to UICA Competitions. A poor showing during the AOCL V in which Cednia Beach were eliminated in the group stage likely kept Planst out of any contention for a National Team spot during World Cup 58 Qualifiers, although, as a highly skilled keeper, Planst was still invited to the training camp. Planst has an ongoing rivalry with former Cednia Youth teammate Aranora Jaded who left Cednia Beach to join Planst's former club, Arcticala Inlet, and also achieved great success. Despite struggling to lead Cednia Beach to the domestic success they so craved and being between the sticks as Mliona-Lpaka overtook Cednia Beach as the premier domestic club in Turori, Planst was named Cednia Beach player of the season 4 times between season 28 and 35, despite the clubs struggles. However, Planst would lead the club back to glory, winning the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

Miiara Makose [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
D C ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 160 :: GOALS:6 ) :: [ 6.67 Average Rating ]
Makose has Druidan blood, though has been diluted through multiple generations. He was trained as a goalkeeper in Turori but did not want to be stuck in the shadows of Nycflala Kater, so switched over to the defensive role when joining the Strike Academy. The transition was clearly justified as Makose was one of the top performing players in World Cup 57 qualifying, carrying a 6.65 average rating while appearing in 14 of Vilita's 16 group matches. Makose was also part of Strike's dominating VLeague 27 performances winning the League and Cup titles with the club and repeated the feat during VLeague 29, doing one better, having scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute of the Cup Final against the rival Yeaddin Owls. Incredibly, Makose did it again during the Season 30 Cup Final, scoring the opening goal of Strike's 2-0 victory over Colonial Sile. The list of accomplishments for Makose continued to grow with his allegiance to his home club, including International success as champions of the Aeropag Invitational and the Cygnus Cup following Vilitan Season 38. Makose then led Strike FC to the Stellar Division title and a repeat victory in the Cygnus Cup the following season. After failing to claim silverware during Season 43, Makose followed in the footsteps of Callum Banda, leaving Strike FC to become the manager at Arcticala Inlet Makose captain the Vilita Jungle Cats World Cup 68 winning side.

Amarini Baracelv [ - Jlinal Cove - ]
D C ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 37 :: GOALS:1 ) :: [ 7.79 Average Rating ]
Baracelv, whose grandparents are Starblaydi, was trained at the Alikki-Corra academy before signing a professional contract and transferring to Mliona-Lpaka Turori to pursue International domestic competitions. As a bonus, Baracelv made their debut regionally for Vilita & Turori winning AOCAF 42. Consistent performances for the National Team earned Baracelv a spot as a regular in the Vilitan side and the young defenders performances in World Cup 68, including being a starting player in the World Cup Final, earned him a transfer to Jlinal Cove for V-League season 44.

Endur Rotropii [ - Marine Coast United - ]
D RLC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 64 :: GOALS:6 ) :: [ 7.46 Average Rating ]
Rotropii made his debut for Marine Coast United during Season 38 and quickly grew popular with the fans in Crosaibi, being named Marine Coast's player of the season in his rookie campaign. Rotropii scored his first career international goal during World Cup 65 Qualifying in a 4-1 victory over Mashiki.

Sipaao Vereaoao [ - SK Aasiaat Harbour (PIS) - ]
D L ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 43 :: GOALS:3 ) :: [ 7.12 Average Rating ]
A product of the Inland Academy, Vereaoao has played in both Vilita & Turori, but committed his future to the Jungle Cats when featuring for them as a half time substitute against Nitrome Island during World Cup 57 qualifying. Vereaoao left long-time home Inland Peaks after they failed to achieve promotion from the Declasse during VLeague 27. Vereaoao signed for Marine Coast United, who had earned promotion in addition to a place in International Competitions. However, with Marine Coast struggling to keep pace in the Stellar Division, Vereaoao jumped ship to free-spending Kiiarana for V-League Season 29, becoming a big part of the team that would challenge atop the table - finishing 3rd during Season 33 and qualifying for the UICA Champions League.

Ratuva helped Morata Valley earn promotion to the Stellar Division during VLeague 26. Ratuva has continually been named Player of the Season at Morata Valley and helped lead them to their best ever Stellar Division placement of 5th during Season 37, also earning the side a place in the UICA Champions Cup.

M LC ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 188 :: GOALS::SR: 36 ) :: [ 6.76 Average Rating ]
A decsendent of the exciting Marine Coast and Yeaddin midfielder Jonjo Hulyer, Jomur has been compared heavily to his ancestors and even carries the same squad number. Unlike Jonjo, however, Jomur was trained at the Yeaddin Academy. Hulyer would soon become the quickest player to ever represent all three of the original Vilitan Dynasties, signing his first professional contract with Marine Coast United before transferring to Strike for VLeague 28. The list of honors earned by Hulyer in Lonngeylin was massive, with 5 appearances in the Tropical Trophy, 3 Stellar Division Championships and a Vilitan Cup title in addition to being a finalist for Vilitan player of the Season every season he spent in Lonngeylin. After Strike failed to claim a Champions League place following Season 35, Hulyer decided it was time for a change of scenery, moving to Turori to join forces with Mliona-Lpaka FC. Soon after, however, Hulyer did something unprecedented, retiring from domestic competition in order to focus on his performances for the National Team. Hulyer un-retired from the domestic league during Season 41, returning to Mliona-Lpaka to fight against his old side Strike FC for the title. The experienced Hulyer came on as a sub in the World Cup 68 final won by Vilita.

After starting at the Turoki Locals in the Lower Leagues, Mitaroka's talent was spotted by Inland Peaks FC who snapped the youngster up for V-League season 29. At the midway point of the season Mitaroka was setting the Declasse on fire with skillful performances and caught the attention of the Vilitan coaches who added Mitaroka to the World Cup 59 roster despite having never been called to the National Team before. After their promotion back to the Stellar Division for season 38, the Electricians of Arctical Inlet made Mitaroka their primary target, landing him for a large transfer fee. Mitaroka helped lead the Tide back to the UICA Champions Cup. Mitaroka would become a mainstay in the National Team squad under the leadership of his namesake Calaesa including starting in, and scoring a goal in the World Cup 68 Final won by Vilita

M RLC ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 55 :: GOALS::SR: 6 ) :: [ 6.48 Average Rating ]
Jiurjai was trained in Turori but declared for Vilita after being called upon for World Cup 57 Qualifying. Jiurjai can play both central and outside midfield and can use both feet equally well. After declaring for Vilita, Jiurjai moved from Turori to Turoki to play with the Turoki Tide. Strong performances during VLeague 26 earned Jiurjai a transfer to Strike for VLeague 27 where the midfielder was instrumental to Strike's League and Cup double. However, Strike's success would eventually lead to Jiurjai being excessed as an influx of new signings joined the club, and the midfielder opted to move to Arcticala Inlet when the contract allowed during Season 31, accomplishing little before moving on to Kiiarana City, performing equally unimpressively. Jiurjai had a career-best performance during Season 35 after moving to Colonial Sile, netting 3 goals.

F C ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 112 :: GOALS::SR: 37 ) :: [ 5.60 Average Rating ]
Moliaudo is a real force in front of goal, rarely missing from inside the penalty area. Many eyes were on Moliaudo during the World Cup Campaign, to see how he fared with a new partner in attack, having spent his entire development partnered with Xcnaio Bansoa at the Coastal Academy. Moliaudo mostly performed well netting 4 goals and having a strong rating, but still left some wondering if there was more talent to be mined from the Marine Coast youngster. After Bansoa left Marine Coast for greener pastures, Moliaudo remained and his stock also decreased. After a second relegation with Marine Coast, Moliaudo jumped ship up the Vilitan coast to Kiiarana City. Moliaudo was named player of the season 3 times at Kiiarana City. After transferring, Moliaudo was a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori. Moliaudo's late career success continued into World Cup 68 having scored in the Final.

Kilpter is joint Vilitan & Turori national, but declared to play for Vilita, with the lure of World Cup competition in Vilita's entry into World Cup 57 the key decision maker after the Turorian side was not entered. Kilpter netted 4 times during the World Cup 57 campaign but missed three matches due to an undisclosed injury. After struggling to win silverware with the Yeaddin Owls, Kilpter made the Largest Transfer in V-League history (12.7 kT) to Turorian side Cednia Beach. The transfer was more than double the 4.5kT previous transfer record in the Vilitan League, which was also payed by Cednia Beach to Yeaddin (for Antonis Siazzu). The struggles continued for Kilpter in the hunt for Silverware as Cednia Beach simply could not get over the hurdle, either in the V-League or in the UICA Champions League. Cednia Beach recouped their transfer fee in dishing Kilpter out to East Franz Athletic in the Polar Islandstates prior to Season 33. A rejuvinated Kilpter received praise for his performances in the Polar Islandstates while Cednia Beach would go on to miss out on Champions Cup qualification for the first time. Kilpter's international career has bolstered since his departure from the Tropics, having regained his place in the side for World CUp 64 Qualifying in a 3-player rotation with Erocka Lorei and Viji-mara Lawaai. Kilpter would continue to play a bit-part role for the Vilitan National Team, earning a start in the World Cup 68 final.

Riazen's Krytenian bloodline makes him a secret weapon in the Vilitan arsenal, sure to be the ultimate future thorn in the side of any Audioslavian opposition. Was a member of Vilita & Turori's AOCAF 42 Championship side. After scoring 5 times for Kiiarana during their Season 41 Declasse campaign, the youngster made the switch across town to Kiiara-Torra in order to re-unite with Eel-Cat things head coach Nycflala Kater and return to the Stellar Division. The magic never came through, however, and eventually, Riazen returned to the Stellar Division by transfer - to Arcticala Inlet

Head Coach: Ematea Saenu
Turori's Ematea Saenu maintains the role of head coach, but is on very thin ice as the Football Association of Turori are looking for ways to break out of their underachieving shell and break into the the final four at the World Cup Finals.

[ 82 ] Mumau Atla-Siioai [ - Turoki United (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 45 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
A Dual Vilita & Turori National, Atla-Siioai was invited to the Vilitan World Cup 57 Training camp - but so were 6 other goalkeepers. Atla-Siioai transferred from the Kionao Locals to Vilitan side Turoki United for the V-League 27 season. While his play for Turoki was solid, the impact of Atla-Siioai's presence was most evident back in Turori as the Locals were relegated from the V-League with a club record 20 defeats. While showing the importance of having Atla-Siioai in the squad, the fact that the Goalkeeper left the Locals high and dry has not left a good impression on their Turorian fanbase. Atla-Siioai has, however, made a name for himself in Turoki, repeatedly being named Supporters Player of the Season and leading the team into UICA Competition places including the clubs first UICA Champions Cup appearance following Season 36. Atla-Siioai has been the Player of the Year at Turoki United every season since joining the club. Atla-Siioai was named Turorian player of the season during Season 41 when he led Turoki United to their second Vilitan Cup title and again when leading Turoki United to their first Vilitan Stellar Division championship during Season 42, also leading the Turori National Team to the Second Round of the World Cup. Atla-Siioai would lead Turoki United to a repeat Stellar Division championship during Season 43, and would lead his club to the UICA Champions Cup Final. Although defeated in the final, Atla-Siioai's performances earned him the reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in the world.

[ 93 ] G.Q Disterfred II [ - Turoki Isle - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Young prospect Disterfred pushed Inura Forests into the top half of the Season 38 Declasse, earning player of the season honors at the club and earning recognition as a serious propsect for the National Team. Disterfred was a member of the AOCAF 41 Championship Winning side, but did not start any of the 7 matches en-route to the title. When head coach Nycflala Kater took a back seat early in the competition during AOCAF 42, however, Disterfred had his chance to play as Vilita & Turori earned their second consecutive AOCAF title. However, Disterfred's domestic career took a negative turn when Inura Forests were relegated out of the Vilitan League, prompting a cross-country transfer to the Kionao Locals in the Declasse division. Despite the strong leadership of Lita Adjei and good performances in the UICA Competitions, Kionao was unable to get promoted and eventually Disterfred would move to Turoki Isle in order to get a chance to play in the Stellar Division

[ 92 ] Sharif Deniibo [ - Lonngeylin City (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Snapped up at a young age by the Turoki Tide who identified a young Deniibo as an ideal prospect to play along side and be tutored by the Tide's Turorian National team goalkeeper Hooizo Nuakoi. After spending 5 seasons as apprentice to Nuakoi in Turoki, Deniibo switched to Lonngeylin City in an attempt to get regular first team action.

[ 1 ] Ronji Miiastara [ - Jlinal Cove (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 75 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Miiastara joined Marine Coast United in Vilita for their V-League 27 campaign in the Declasse, just the second ever for the club at that level. Miiastara was tasked with keeping the ball out of the net, and he did just that, helping lead Marine Coast United back to the Stellar Division at the first attempt leading up to V-League 28. After competing in the UICA 'B' Champions League, Marine Coast finished a respectable 7th place in the V-League but just missed out on a UICA place. Miiastara jumped ship to Kiiarana City in order to participate in the UICA Globe Cup prior to Season 29. While Kiiarana did not make the huge title push expected of them, Miiastara let in a career low 14 goals during Season 30, leading Kiiarana to a runner up finish in the Stellar Division a place in the UICA Champions League and a Tropical Trophy victory. It would be the lone high point at the club for Miiastara, however. After losing his 'ever present' status as National Team goalkeeper to the domestically succesful Hooizo Nuakoi, Miiastara made the switch to Colonial for Season 35 and immediately added a second Tropical Trophy victory to his resume. After bouncing around for seasons Miiastara finally found a home in Lonngeylin backstopping the rise of Lonngeylin Coast from a Declasse club to a Stellar Division challenger, leading the club to a pair of consecutive 4th-placed finish and Champions Cup qualification during V-League Seasons 40 & 41. After Lonngeylin Coast moved to Youth and Zelkki Milake, Miiastara switched to Jlinal Cove and led them to their first ever Champions Cup appearance during the 54th UICA Cycle.

[ 86 ] Hooizo Nuakoi [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 57 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Nuakoi, a dual Vilitan & Turorian national, entered World Cup 58 qualifying uncapped and undeclared for either Nation. Nuakoi was widely expected to openly declare Turorian Nationality going into the qualifying, but with the rise of rival Ronji Miiastara, Nuakoi decided to leave the door open to a Vilitan return should he remain uncapped for Turori. After spending Season 26 and 27 at Turoki Isle, Nuakoi made the move to the Yeaddin Owls midway through Season 27 to become their #1 keeper. Nuakoi returned to Turoki during Season 29, joining the Turoki Tide as they finished runners up in the Stellar Division. Nuakoi was important in the Tide's success in the Tropical Trophy, the clubs first major Top-Level silverware, before rising to prominence in the lore's of the opening of a new chapter of Sporting Success in Turoki. Nuakoi led the Tide to the Stellar Division championship during Seasons 32 and 33 before a remarkable run to defeat rivals Strike FC in the 40th Globe Cup Final for Turoki's first International club competition title. Nuakoi's performances in goal were critical as a 0-0 shutout performance in the final match gave the Tide a remarkable victory in the UICA Super Cup, the first Vilitan League side to lift the trophy.

DEFENDERS:

[ 53 ] Tarek Edgeli [ - Strike FC (Vilita) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 18 CAPS: 16 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After spending 3 seasons being trained in Crosaibi at Marine Coast United, Edgeli made the switch down the coast to the Lonngeylin Coliseum for Season 43. While Strike were unable to win any silverware, Edgeli fit straight into the squad as one of the top performing defenders in the entire league earning instant plaudits and recognition back in Turori.

[ 57 ] Dmitri Levada [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After being part of the Vilita & Turori squad that won AOCAF 42, Levada was a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

[ 54 ] Oani Moralziia [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D RL ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 10 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After being part of the Vilita & Turori squad that won AOCAF 42, Moralziia was a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

[ 2 ] Yoains Konoaafeo [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 38 CAPS: 131 :: GOALS::SR: 8 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Konoaafeo was the top defensive product of the Yeaddin Academy and was expected to be part of the Vilitan national team set up due to this fact. However, after not being capped during World Cup 57 Qualifying, and learning of Turori's intention to enter World Cup 58, Konoaafeo switched allegiances both for club and country. After playing half of V-League 26 with the Kionao Locals, Konoaafeo moved to Cednia Beach AFC where he would lead the Coconut Kickers to their second V-League championship, being named Turorian player of the season in the process. From there, it would be a long run of struggles as Cednia Beach would lose their title as "Turori's Best" to rivals Mliona-Lpaka. However, Konoaafeo stayed loyal and eventually returned to the top with his club as a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

[ 52 ] Geafi Laina-Sola [ - Mliona-Lpaka AFC - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 19 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Laina-Sola started their career as a training in Inura before being spotted by the big clubs and playing a few seasons with Jlinal Cove and Makosile in Vilita. Then, however, the young Turorian defender finally made the big move home to Mliona-Lpaka in time for V-League Season 44.

[ 4 ] Balariita Muzmaara [ - Kiiarana City (Vilita) - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 33 CAPS: 37 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Muzmaara, one of the youngest players ever invited to a Turorian National Team training camp (Ignoring the Cocoboas), joining the Terrarokka Spirit during Season 27. After spending seasons bouncing between the League and Amateur levels, Muzmaara finally moved to play full time for the Kionao Locals, spending two seasons at home in Turori

[ 6 ] Inaosnaa Klanoa [ - Eastal Lunar (Vilita) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 11 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Klanoa was named Eastal Lunar player of the season during Season 43 leading the team to the Declasse title and promotion to the Stellar Division.

[ 56 ] Majid Jedidi [ - Kiiarana City (Vilita) - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 18 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Jedidi made the move from Turori to Kiiarana City on the western shore of Vilita prior to V-League season 44.

DEFENSIVE MID:

[ 22 ] Klaillal Tuirma [ - Mliona-Lpaka - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 27 CAPS: 30 :: GOALS::SR: 3 )
Descendant of Season 4 Turorian Player of the Season and National team legend Cuolia Tuirma, Klaillal will work with Restiaa Mumamba to become the future "All-Around" player for the Turori National Team. Playing in a unique role, Tuirma will be expected to fill the role of being able to play every game, in every position - even Goalkeeper, if there are no subs left. Tuirma will certainly be starting as a substitute during their debut campaign in World Cup 62 but may get the chance to start against weaker opposition. After being brought up through the academy system at Kionao, Tuirma signed a professional contract with Colonial Sile in Vilita for Season 35, winning silverware in the first match, the Tropical Trophy triumph over Strike. Tuirma's stay in Sile didn't last long, however, coaxed back to the luxury of Arcticala Inlet to help in their Champions-Cup qualifying campaign of Season 38. Tuirma returned to Turori during Season 44 as a member of Mliona-Lpaka AFC

[ 22 ] Restiaa Mumamba [ - Yeaddin Owls (Vilita) - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 35 CAPS: 131 :: GOALS::SR: 6 )
Mumamba was the definition of a versatile player for Vilita's Yeaddin Owls after joining them for the V-League 27 season from Jlinal Cove FC. Mumamba played in every position from Central Defender to Striker, scoring a game winning goal in one game and a game saving tackle in the next. Mumamba is an expert choice for a third sub or to allow tactical changes on the pitch without substitutions being made. The strong and versatile performances of Mumamba during Season 28 earned Mumamba a high profile transfer to defending Stellar Division champions Arcticala Inlet but he left the Electricians the following season to be apart of the growing Yeaddin Owls squad. Mumamba spent 4 seasons in Yeaddin without recording any meaningful domestic awards other than the Season 29 Turorian Player of the Season award. The lure of international competition was too great for Mumamba who joined the Turoki Tide for Season 34, doing so in time for their 43rd UICA Cycle run. Mumamba helpd the Tide lift the UICA Globe Cup and UICA Super Cup, one of three Turorian players on the roster for the Tide's Triumph. However, after achieving glory with the Tide, Mumamba returned to his former club Yeaddin, vowing to one day bring the same success back to the Lirai Asku Castle.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 22 ] Etamara Kulkkiia [ - AC Izotz Zubia (AUD) - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 61 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Kulkkiia was developed at the Cednia Beach Academy having been highly scouted and recruited by teams throughout Turori and even Vilita. After the Turori Eels failure to qualify for World Cup 64, Kulkkiia became the subject of media attention questioning whether the aging crop of players should make way for younger players like Kulkkiia in the Esportiva-hosted Cup of Harmony for World Cup 64. Kulkkiia added his name to the long line of major transfers involving Cednia Beach after being transferred to SC Montfort in the Licentian Isles prior to Season 42

[ 23 ] Inlite Makakio [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 26 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
The twin brother of Strike FC attacking sesation Enluta Makakio, Inlite started his career as 2 time player of the year at Inura Forests before making the jump to Vilita, eventually landing a transfer to Arcticala Inlet for V-League season 44.

[ 16 ] Rutaj Ranaso [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 93 :: GOALS::SR: 11 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Ranaso moved from Turori to the nearby island of Turoki to play for Mavaloiao FC in the Vilitan Declasse when the league resumed for Season 26. After 2 strong seasons at the Declasse side, Ranaso joined Stellar Division side Eastal Lunar for V-League Season 28 and helped them win the Vilitan Cup despite relegation from the Stellar Division. Ranaso wouldn't stick around in the lower leagues, however, spending two seasons in Turori before moving to the Turoki Tide where he would win a UICA Champions Cup title.

[ ] Aiden Varess [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]

[ ] Kigaoua Oalalka [ - Strike FC (Vilita) - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 22 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Oalalka never could get settled down in Vilita, taking trial runs at clubs such as the Turoki Tide, Inland Peaks and Mavaloiao before switching gears and looking at international transfer options.

[ 7 ] Rikko Rawaii [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 129 :: GOALS::SR: 22 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Rawaii's dribbling ability coupled with lightning pace make him a threat any time he touches the ball, to create something even from nothing with a few quick moves. Rawaii is not known so much as a goalscorer, instead, an opportunity creator. Rawaii was named Player of the Year at Arcticala Inlet during Season 26 and was named Turorian player of the year during Season 27 when Inlet won the Tropical Trophy. Rawaii would win the Stellar Division with Arcticala Inlet during Season 29 finishing second in the goalscoring race.

[ 34 ] Inamari Altariiz [ - Mliona-Lpaka - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 37 :: GOALS::SR: 12 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Altariiz was instantly identified as a high-quality prospect at Mliona-Lpaka and was promoted to the senior squad at 16 years of age taking up a starting role in Mliona-Lpaka's Season 38 campaign. Altariiz was named Mliona-Lpaka's player of the season for 39 & 40 in addition to being named Turorian Player of the Season during Season 40 after leading MLiona-Lpaka to the Vilitan Cup title.

[ 31 ] Matlya Eelador [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 19 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Although Eelador was never known as being the most prolific scorer in the Vilitan League, he regularly put forth consistent performances for his club. Eelador was a member of the Cednia Beach AFC squad that won the Vilitan Cup during Season 43, and subsequently went on to win the 50th UICA Globe Cup, the first ever UICA Top-Level Champions from Turori.

[ 8 ] Liinai Zakazaka [ - Jlinal Cove - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 36 CAPS: 148 :: GOALS::SR: 63 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Zakazaka joined Jlinal Cove FC for the V-League 27 season and gained some attention back in Turori for their contribution to the 'Cove's impressive top-4 finish in the final standings. Zakazaka was named Jlinal Cove's top player during Season 28. After a further 5 times, and being Top Goalscorer in the Declasse during Season 32, Zakazaka sought higher honors moving to home to Turori to play for Mliona-Lpaka. Zakazaka was the runner-up in the Stellar Division top Goalscorer charts in Season 38 before moving back to Vilita, this time to the Island of Turoki, to play for the Turoki Tide.

[ 24 ] Enluta Makakio [ - Strike FC (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 35 :: GOALS::SR: 18 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After coming through the ranks in Kionao, Makakio's performances got the attention of the scouts at Strike FC who signed the young Turorian attacker for their Season 39 campaign.

[ ] Mirana Gotuai [ - Mist City Floatzels (NSI) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 17 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Gotuai left with his family to the warmth of the Northern Sunrise Islands but never stopped playing the sport he loved, joining the Mist City Floatzels. Not looking to lose track of this potentially exciting attacking prospect, the Turorian Football Association invited Gotuai to train and travel with the team during Qualifications for World Cup 68. Gotuai made a surprise debut appearance for the Eels as a half-time substitute against Gregoryisgodistan and did one better by scoring the equalizing goal late in the match to keep Turori's unbeaten World Cup 68 Qualifying record in tact.

[ ] Meldi'ita Mungwaii [ - Inura Forests - ]

The Greater Vakolicci Haven

Head coach: Luciano Armandeos Ruzi (Eastern Fire of Caldonaris)
Following the Haven's first terrible appearance at world cup 68, U&M head coach Roman Rijic resigned in order to concentrate on his club team. With Eastern Fire winning the Liga Dal Celar 3 months ago, and going on to win the ilustrious Copa L'havaerne against the winners of Havaernalige (U&M), Havensport decided to appoint head coach Luciano Armandeos Ruzi has the Head coach for the Vakolicci national team.

Style modifier: +4
Captain: His royal highness Blacksen, of the House of Domination, Prince of Celeria. (U&M)
* indecates a starter.
Note: Vakolicci clubs do not use squad numbers.
Goalkeepers:
*Mickie Roper, age 38, F.C. United and Metropolitan
Mickie Roper, described by total sport magazine as 'the ugliest thing ever to set eyes on a football,' (something he takes pride in), never grew certain significant areas of flesh on his face and his arms, leaving him with massive holes and ridges that stand out anywhere he goes. Another thing that stands out, however, is his goal saving ratio: SC U&M let in only 33 goals with him between the sticks last season.

Luc Cole, 20, Eastern Fire of Caldonaris
Born in England, Luc Cole moved to Celeria at age 3, and quickly established himself as one of that provinces greatest footballing tallents. Having established himself firmly as the starting goalkeeper for U&M's archrivals Eastern Fire of Caldonaris, he is hoping to get a few games in the world cup, if an injury prevents Mickie Roper from continuing.

Hugo Ronk, age 25, Liveron
Not expecting to play, Hugo Ronk has established himself as a very solid choice between the posts, being the only man that has stopped his struggling side Liveron from being relegated.

Right defenders:
* Lisa Kohr, age 23, U&M
Lisa Kohr's explosive pace, glue-like marking ability and peculiar nack for harassing wingers has earned her a starting place in both United and Metropolitan's starting 11, and the national team.
Valentino Mericci, 20, Force Roma
Celari born, Celari bred, and Celari speaking: Mericci, if he plays, is expecting to do his nation proud at the world cup, with the ease at which he tackles and makes opposition players look like children.

Central defenders:
*Joseph Scritmun, age 24, Eastern fire of caldonaris
The 6 ft 9 rock in the middle of Eastern Fire, as well as Vakolicci defence is, according to total sport, what creates the best scoring chances from corners in the league.' His excellent ability to win balls in the air proves that the figure of the hulking centre forward can be made to look entirely useless.
*Mohammed Al-zerwa, age 24, Sacro
Sacro: not a name you hear much in Vakolicci football. However, it has been the jumping and powerful pace of this 5 ft 5 pocket rocket that have kept the strugglers in the league this year.
Milan Petrovic, age 27, Vusputyan
A celerian name beyond a doubt, the slav has impressed in recent years, despite a number of extremely damaging injuries that have hurt his career.
Clive Spencer, 19, Hilltop Dragons
Hilltop Dragons have relied on the young defender this year, as he has proven time and time again that it is extremely difficult to get anything past him.

Left defenders:
* HRH Laura Mccabe, Princess consort of Celeria, 17, Eastern Fire of Caldonaris
Whatever you want to call Laura Mccabe, be it the best fullback the haven has seen in the last 25 years, or a dirty golddigger who sucks up to the Prince of Celeria (also featured), she won't care. All she cares about, as she said in total sport, is that she allows 'the worlds many inferior nations' what they should be afraid of whenever they atempt to go down her wing.
Manilos Kurjos, age 18, Force Roma
Removing Paul Scott from the team wasn't difficult, and this man has done it. Although he has looked rather suspect for Force Roma this season, he is definitely the Haven's second-choice left back. Let's hope Mccabe doesn't get injured.

Right wingers:
*HRH Blacksen I, of house Domination, blessed of the 16, crown Prince of Celeria, age 17, SC U&M

Blacksen Domination is possibly the est young tallent the Vakolicci have to offer the world. Having 'been playing football all his life,' the young prince is famed by his explosive, blur-like pace and his tricky ability to score goals from an extremely long range.
Celio Garati, 24, Force Roma
Blacksen is backed up by the man he replaced: fellow Celari Garati is keen to show the world that he is still as good as Domination, and he certainly has the credencials to prove it: his 35 goals in his 32 games for the Force show that he is not something to trifle with.

Central midfielders:
*Marc Antoine, age 32, Berlin:
Berlin's finest, the defencive-minded midfielder specialises in his ability to clear up counter-attack, and create trouble for the opposition. Has looked less of a rock in the Berlin side this year, but Ruzi is confident in his abilities.

Mikel Curtu, age 19, Vareli:
A new addition to the squad this year, Ruzi has made it clear that he plans to rotate his central midfielders. Although playing with an awful team, this youngster seems to have something special about him.

Left wingers:
*Miralim Tardenic, age 33, U&M
A constant rival of Blacksen Domination on the right of the field, Roman Rijic decided to atempt to combine the 2. Blacksen's trademark flare, combined with Tardenic's skill on the ball, makes the pairing a force to be reckoned with.
Milton Carnet, age 24, London Athletic:
This man replaces the retiring Roberts Kraker for WC69, and he has quickly made his mark in the domestic league with his flashy football and quick thinking.

Strikers:
*Demit Cronan, age 26, SC United and Metropolitan:
The enforcer in the pitch and the crowd, as well as his important ability to score from impossible angles makes Demit Cronan an asset the haven cannot do without. As foreign supporters will learn, as U&M's opposition have learnt, a cry of 'Cronan's red and green army' from the crowd is usually accompanied by the drawing of all manner of weapons, and it is time to go. It is also Cronan' job to conduct the riots that are the hallmark of Vakolicci supporters.
*John O'hare, age 24, Eastern Fire of Caldonaris:
51 goals in 45 appearances, John O'hare seems never to miss. A vercitile striker who can fulfill the roles of target man and playmaker, O'Hare has no real holes in his game.
Henry Liger, age 15, SC U&M
Despite his young age, Henry Liger is quick to capitalise on an opening, and knows how to take advantage of it. Furthermore, him and Blacksen Domination have a clear passing partnership that is thought to be unstopable by many in the profession.
*Sarah Court, age 7, Palas:
Sarah Court was recommended by Blacksen Domination after seing her impress at the under-15 world cup. The child striker is keen to prove she can make it on the world professional stage, and promises she won't cry if she gets injured. A fantastic campaign at the futsal in Saintland has gifted Court with a starting place this year.
Marek Jablinsky, age 32, Moskva:
Moskva's name has fallen from grace somewhat, however Marek Jablinsky is a proven goalscorer, expected to make the name stand out to world fans by the end of the tournament.
RP permissions:
Do anything you want, apart from killing/major (more than 3 months) injuries. Feel free to rp major riots, and if the GVH loses, please rp major riots (they happen.)

Kumquat Vale Casuals Soccer Club

With Ancharmunn having not participated at all in a World Cup, or even UICA competitions at club level, since the Audioslavia-Inevitable Syndicate hosted jamboree of World Cup 66, the sport of football has seen a severe decline in popularity. Whilst now largely ignored by the general population, the sport retains a place in the hearts of those within certain sections of society. All vestiges of professionalism have disappeared. The Charmunnry football player of today is not a well trained and honed athlete playing for success and acclaim, but rather a lorded gentleman seeking recreation and leisure. Compared to many countries it may well appear that Charmunnry football is heading on a course to imitate the game as it was decades, or even centuries ago. Competitions are generally frowned upon, with nearly all matches being friendlies or exhibition encounters. Many innovations that would be considered crucial aspects of the modern day game the world over are also rejected, a prime example being the new found Charmunnry failure to recognise the legitimacy of penalty kicks. Substitutions are another rejected aspect of the game, the reason for the meagre size of the Kumquat Vale Casuals Soccer Club that shall be participating in place of an a truly national Ancharmunn team.

Goalkeeper – WD Viniter
Full back – Sir Angus Pettigew
Full back – Blaine Shirley Gordon Bowen
Half-back – Garth Lynton Milburn-Pound, 7th Viscount of Glensale
Half-back – TJ McFarlane
Half-back – Granville Gladwin Hughes, 9th Earl of Coshtaherd
Winger – Irwin Gage
Inside-forward – Layton Sloane Lynwood
Centre-forward – Meriwhether Anthony Barrett, 5th Lord of Braylackan
Inside-forward – Ashworth Emmet Devine, 6th Viscount of Fasagh
Winger – Talbot William Prendergast, 10th Duke of Machairster

Tactics

Given the current state of the Charmunnry game, tactics and systems as such don't particularly exist as they do in the rest of the world. The team shall be lining up in a 2-3-5 formation and shall generally be playing in the gung-ho manner that teams tended to back when such a formation was commonplace. Unfortunately limitations within worldwide football shall apparently limit Kumquat Vale Casuals style-modifier to a measly +5. When considering the attitude with which the team should be portrayed, think back to the real-life examples of the more vociferous 'gentleman' players of early footballing history. In the case of penalties for example the Corinthian spirit shall be channelled. All players shall be expected to behave in a gentlemanly fashion throughout, whilst the players shall refuse to contest any penalties either awarded or given against them. Should the opposition team be reduced in numbers through injury or discipline, the Casuals shall voluntarily withdraw the required number of players to even up the teams.

Venue

Meriwhether Anthony Barrett, the 5th Lord of Braylackan, the chairman and secretary of Kumquat Vale Casuals Soccer Club has very kindly granted the use of a pitch within the grounds of his Kumquat Vale Manor estate to be used for home matches of the World Cup campaign. In order to protect the environment of the estate, and to generally keep as much riff-raff away as possible visiting teams shall be limited to bringing no more than 50 guests with them to spectate matches. All visiting guests are kindly asked to dress in a suitable manner for such a location and are requested to cordially asked to keep their grubby hands off the abundant kumquats. Anyone perceived to be causing trouble shall be swiftly asked to leave.

Kit

Rather than any of that garish Kirola nonsense, Kumquat Vale Casuals shall be playing in these rather spiffing garments of which the players have spent countless painstaking hours crafting (or rather had their servants craft for them). The colours of olive, fuchsia and kumquat represent the traditional colours used on the coats of arms of the Lords of Braylackan. No change kit shall be used as quite frankly your plebs should be expected to heed to their superiors and change in the event of any clash.

Svenga Squad for the 69th WC

The Coach: Rihards Ruotsalainen Style Mod: +3.6

As is with the natural order of things, great players tend to become great coaches. But the qualifying process for the 69th World Cup will be the first taste of management for the ex-national team winger Ruotsalainen. Taking over from Licentian Luke Thompson, who qualified twice for the main event, the onus will be on Rihards to make ground quickly. He will hope to bring his vast experience, over 50 caps and 20 goals, as well as a World Cup All Stars team appearance, to the fire when in charge.

Assistant Coach: Kuri Levallånen (44 years old)

He came into the side in rather unfortunate circumstances. Former Assistant Coach Röben Eriksson, former soldier, has retired from coaching due to the injuries he sustained whilst fighting got worse. Kuri was coach of Stormskamer IGK before taking the assistant coaching role. Having coached current manager Rihards Ruotsalainen for 5 World Cup campaigns, he will work well with the new boss.

Squad

Goalkeepers

Vanja Albertsen (12 caps - 0 goals - 26 y/o - HJK Helsirn)

A new talent rising up through the ranks of the domestic league, Vanja stands at a staggering 6ft 10", and has the natural build for a goalkeeper. Since the retirement of 40 year old Pal Lorsen, Albertsen has had to step up to the plate and keep for the national team. A great physical presence in the box, but sometimes he can lose his position around the goal and leave himself open to mistakes.

Jarmo Jakinen (2 caps - 0 goals - 23 y/o - MTK)

Another young talent with fantastic vision and great hands, but lacks first-team experience and the commanding skills of a keeper. Will be immediate back-up for Albertsen, and the World Cup will be a huge learning curve for him.

Eremeni Saari (0 caps - 0 goals - 28 y/o - Valkeavuoren SK)

The reserve keeper drafted into the squad after Lorsen's retirement, Saari has shown several good performances in the domestic league, and as a reward has gained a place in the World Cup Squad.

Defenders

Tommi Nikula (26 caps - 3 goals - 28 y/o - Helsirn CSKA)

One of the several new young players in the squad, Nikula is regarded as the natural successor to Strostrand. A talented wing back as well as a dominant defender in the box and around. Possessing incredible power and extreme acceleration and having the ability to lay killer crosses, Tommi is always the one to spark a counter-attack.

Petteri Falk (0 caps - 0 goals - 20 y/o - FK Arula)[/b]

A new brand of versatile defender, with both offensive and defensive qualities. In defence, Falk is as indomitable as the most hardened of international defenders, yet he is also quite a threat when he has the ball at his feet, able to run and pass with the fleet-footedness of a midfielder. Young, but with plenty of potential and a great attitude to boot.

Georg Raske (58 caps - 4 goals - 37 y/o - FK Arula) CAPTAIN

Georg went from fringe player in earlier World Cups to team captain, rather surprisingly, in the last edition of the competition. Andfossen announced this shortly before the rest of squad annoucement, much to the surprise of the press and just about every fan in the country. After Strostrand had retired, winger Rihards Ruotsalainen was made favourite to be made captain, with Raske at 250/1. Raske is a brick wall in defence, not known for his pace, but able to shut down any play from any number of attacking players. This tournament will be Raske's farewell, as he has stated to have been feeling all of his 37 years.

Saar Bjørnsen (28 caps - 1 goals - 33 y/o - HJK Helsirn)

Bjørnsen long has been tipped to be the new Torbjorn Lindstørm, who led the side to their Baptism of Fire victory. He is bigger than his predecessor, standing at 6ft 4" inches, he is not someone you want to run into at speed. We've seen him in two World Cups, and he hasn't quite fulfilled his huge expectations. He has played one or two blinders, but otherwise he has been average. The fans are expecting big things from this man.

Luka Jarvinen (46 caps - 5 goals - 33 y/o - Jan Mayen Islanders (Polar Islandstates))

He moves with incredible pace when chasing down opposition attackers, and is always in the right place to block a shot or make that last ditch tackle which he has done plenty of times in the past. Good friends with both Raske and Levallånen, they like to joke around and the occasionally don't take the game entirely seriously. A move to Polar Islandstates has exposed him to the highest level of football, and he should have come off the better for it.

Mikkel Strand (34 caps - 3 goals - 33 y/o - SKA Royale Helsirn)

He's spent a lot of time warming the bench, wrapped up in the numerous layers of SFA-supplied kit, but this might be his breakthrough, with some very talented performances in the domestic game. When he has played, he has shown an adept ability to use the ball from deep and create situations from defence. If he perhaps gets a bit more game time, he could develop his skills and become a real talent, perhaps playing in Defensive midfield or even Midfield.

Eemil Tähtinen (13 caps - 0 goals - 25 y/o - FK Etelärannikolla)

An ex-long distance runner who chose football over athletics, Eemil's epic stamina has already been demonstrated in the Superliga. He can just keep going, hour after hour, week-in-week-out. Although his defensive skills might not earn him a regular starting place, he has the potential to become the 'super-sub' for the squad, able to fill in every game.

Midfielders

Hakan Lager (47 caps - 5 goals - 35 y/o - FK65 Helsingborgs)

A dynamic footballer, Hakan is powerful on both the wing and in and around the area. He has been second place to Jazēps Vang in recent times, and it looks to continue like that as Vang has put in some particularly good performances over the last few months. But nevertheless he has everything a good winger needs: pace, power and good passing ability. Another player coming to the end of his World Cup tenure.

Aatu Jokela (15 caps - 2 goals - 24 y/o - MTK)

Another product of the Stormskamer youth system, Aatu is your typical defensive midfielder, hard hitting tackler and great at spying the long balls required to beat the offside trap and release the forwards. Endless energy and stamina mean that he can cover every square inch of the pitch, make a tackle then track back, before running forward with the counter-attack.

Loreen Steffanssen (19 caps - 6 goals - 25 y/o - MTK)

Although Women have always been accepted into the men's national side, the appearance of the two Steffansson's (Kari and Loreen, unrelated) is the first occurrence of this. A perfectly all-round footballer, she is considered to be a lot better than her male counter-parts. Height, strength, a good touch and pace are just some of her many assets which make her a great footballer. With a World Cup, A Copa Rushmori and a Di Bradini Cup under her belt, she will be looking to hit her full stride this World Cup.

Timo Laathi (29 caps - 2 goals - 28 y/o - Kallstorm Union)

Former captain of the U21s, Timo is one of the few players who make the leap from U21 regular to first team regular. No one is sure why there aren't more. Timo is a good roving midfielder, who can operate both in a central role or as a winger or attacking midfielder, but can also drop back and defend like a centre back or a sweeper would. Good close control and excellent footwork make him troublemaker for opposition defences, and also has a good close range shooting ability.

Lukas Aarnsen (0 caps - 0 goals - 20 y/o - HIFK)

Having lived most of his life in the Polar Islandstates, Aarnsen used his mother's Svenga heritage to make himself eligible for selection for Svengarda, as it seemed like an easier option. He originally started out as a striker, but found his strength and creativity better served in the midfield.

Jazēps Vang (50 caps - 9 goals - 32 y/o - FK65 Helsingborgs)

A versatile midfield player, he likes to experiment with the ball, and will often try outrageous tricks, just to see if they work. When on form, he is unstoppable, every trick seeming to come off and every reverse-spinning-backheel finding its target. Combine this ingenuity with proper winger's pace always make him a joy to watch for any football fan.

Jame Laukkanen (5 caps - 2 goals - 23 y/o - HJK Helsirn)

Another U21s player, Jame combines searing pace with great vision and good ball control to make him into a formidable winger on the pitch. Young, without much experience, he might be asked to drop straight into the national side on the other side of Kari Steffanssen.

Strikers

Truls Waaserson (62 caps - 35 goals - 37 y/o - Morata Valley (Vilita)

Svengarda's goal factory, and main source of goals for the entire Andfossen regime. A superb first and final touch make Truls deadly as soon as he picks up the ball in the area. He works a lot off his team, taking crosses from the wingers and through-balls from midfielders, and works well by himself or with fellow strikers. In this case, he will be working in front of Svein Danielsen/Kari Steffansson as the sole striker. Despite initially retiring at the end of the last campaign, he was persuaded back n for one last crack

Svein Danielsen (46 caps - 19 goals - 33 y/o - Ferdullaele FC (Farfadillis)

A striker on the same par as Truls Waaserson when it comes to goal scoring ability, but Svein has had to live most of his footballing life in the attacking-midfield role, and that's where he'll play for this WC. Good speed and strength make him ideal for this role, as well as the skill of placing a pass, which is key for playing a single striker. Making a name for himself overseas in Farfadillis, scoring more goals of Ferdullaele FC than the legendary Val Kylx.

Serko Jansen (19 caps - 7 goals - 28 y/o - FK Arula)

Serko has gained his place on the merit of his domestic performances for FCK Lupa. His appearance in the side is much to the distaste of the player he replaced; Boghos Danielsen. Serko doesn't expect much play, but when he does, he adds an element of the sublime to his play, and has a habit for scoring some quite brilliant goals, from 25-yard screamers to deft chips. SuperLiga Player of the Season last year, with 12 goals for The Bluebirds.

Kari Steffanssen (6 caps - 1 goals - 25 y/o - Napoli (Felix))

The second of the Steffanssen's (again, not related) in the squad, Kari is a small and nimble winger/attacking midfielder, using her surging pace and lightning quick feet to create trouble for any defence. Her ability to get into small spaces in the box always makes her a nuisance to opposition.

OOC: I am incredibly sorry for my group mates for this late roster postage and all that. My internet has cut out on me at the most in opportune of times, and as will be woefully slow until next Wednesday, where you should see a resumption of normal RPing. In any case, consider this roster a fresh restart, it's the same list from the last WC, but will be updated next time once I get my planned domestic tournament up and running. Again, many apologies. A RP collab with Mizuyuki should start in 3-4 days time

Anonymous Roster from Warriors

The Milchama Warriors have published a mostly anonymous roster for the 69th World Cup. Manager Brian Hormal and MFA head Kelly Chintermantomantomantoman in their press conference were very straight forward for the reasons. Hormal said, "Look, you don't know anybody in our domestic league and we don't really either. The fact that we have a domestic league is more online fiction than actual fact. Seriously, we haven't scorinated the league since about 2006 and even then it was only the domestic cup. Did you really expect a non-anonymous roster?"

Well we can't really fault the logic in that one. So here is the roster:

The traditional 3-3-4 (+1)

GK: David McEll
D: George Tourson
D: Kim Slant
D: Yaakov Ishmatav
M: Denny Urian
M:Uri Kam
M: Valerie Losach
F: Exter Flern
F: Barry Grodon
F: Ittai!
F: Alex Torrance

Subs:
GK: Fletcher Jones
D: Martin Fif
D: Rory Ioval
M: Xavier Missile
M; Boris Demarkovich
F: Andrew Horn
F: Cam Bruter

Do anything you want to the players. It probably won't matter to any potential RPs I do anyway.
Milchama Sports achievements:
World Baseball Classic 23 Champion!
Note: The demonym is Milchamian. There are two of the letter "I(i)" and not one.

3x CoH winner (29, 46, 50) 3x WBC winner (4,5,23), 1x World Cup host (32) Various other minor trophies there's a football club trophy, a kleptochase trophy, Other minor international football trophies.

The Ministry of Morale is pleased to present the NMS Paladins roster for World Cup 69. The Minister just moved from downstate Illinois to Chicago, and his commute just went from 2 hours total a week to something closer to 20, consuming his RPing time and a lot of other fun things with it, and he sincerely hopes that this is one step back to take two steps forward further down the line.

Starters are in bold.

Gregoryisgodistan Special Administrative Zone (GSAZ) National Soccer Team
Style Mod = +5

The Gregoryisgodistan Special Administrative Zone (GSAZ for short, acceptable on second reference and thereafter) is a territory and Special Administrative Zone of Gregoryisgodistan. Only Government VIPs who have been very loyal to Lord Almighty Gregory are allowed in. It is located on the eastern coast of Gregoryisgodistan in a small area of only a few square miles.

Most of the laws of Gregoryisgodistan do not apply, not that government VIPs would have to follow them anyway. However, this provides them a chance to disobey most laws without being subject to scrutiny by police who do not realize they are government VIPs. For instance, all food is legal in the GSAZ, not just prune juice and gruel. It is also legal to say "coconut."

Note that it is acceptable to refer to the team as a "national" team even though GSAZ is a territory. Additionally, the "national" anthem of the GSAZ is the same as the national anthem of Gregoryisgodistan and will be played before all matches. In the event that Gregoryisgodistan Special Administrative Zone plays Gregoryisgodistan during World Cup qualifying, the anthem will only be played once.

Since all the players are Government VIPs, they get to choose their own names. All of the names are quite weird. Several players have chosen names calling for death to nations on Gregoryisgodistan's Enemy List. The rest of the names are also highly insulting to nations on Gregoryisgodistan's Enemy List.

The GSAZ national team plays at the 1,500 seat GSAZ Stadium. The stadium also has a track and bleachers are only on one side.

Coach: Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Craig Klark
Assistant Coaches: Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Navarro Gutierrez and Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Manny Mole

Most, but not all, players are contracted to local club GSAZ FC. Some play for Loyal Friends, which is located in Gregoryisgodistan proper. A few, especially bench players, are unaffiliated. In theory, players who live in the GSAZ are eligible to play abroad, but none are good enough.
