Soko 23 – Advance Multirole Air Superiority fighter

Description

This is the first aircraft ever developed by the FSSU intended to be a NS product made by the FSSU. The SOKO 23 is the first multirole fighter aircraft developed by the Zastava-SOKO Aircraft Manufacturer. It is a 5th generation multirole fighter aircraft developed with the capability of flying at a supersonic speed at high altitude and subsonic speed flying at a low altitude below 2,500 feet. It has capabilities of performing both ground, air attack, electronic warfare and it has the capability of tracking 8 aircrafts at once on it's radar. The Soko 23 also has extremely high agility for subsonic speed enabling the aircraft to alter it's angle and it's flight very quickly for attack while retaining the maneuverability in supersonic flight. Also allows the Aircraft to evade heat seeking missiles by dispersing flares.

The engines when there at work and when the aircraft is going at it's high speed in low and high altitude. Where can i get this MS Paint's mirror tool because i am 100% it doesnt come with Windows alone, if there is a link where i can download it if not, can you recommend me to a software that can help me draw better and add better colours to the design.

OOC: Sorry about the extra OOC, but if you want better drawing programs that are free, I would suggest trying Paint.net orGIMP. I don't use them, myself, as I have Photoshop CS, so I don't know how easy they are to learn, but they're certainly better than Paint.

Soko 161 - AirSuperiority Stealth Fighter will begin it's first 5 production of these planes which will be tested on combat operations, air superiority, it's armaments, avionics and all of the features added to the Soko 161, if all tests are passed, we will bring it for the aircraft to be approved and once approved, we will begin the production of 5,000 of these SOKO 161 which will be an advance airsuperiority stealth fighter bringing it to the Next Generation of aircrafts. The program itself costs 100 billion USD for the research, development and feasible testing of the aircraft. The production of the 5,000 S161 Advance Airsuperiority Stealth Fighter will finish producing 5,000 S161 aircrafts within 10 NS years if approved.

OOC: I don't care what your "friend" said, forward swept wings and Mach 2.83 do not mix. I'd suggest you do some research on the Su-47 and forward swept wings in general. Due to the angle of the wings, high speeds will shear them right off the body. They can manuever like no other, but they can't cross that stress threshold. For all intents and purposes, you're looking at a max speed of mach 1.6-1.75 at altitude. I'd strongly suggest taking this to the NS Draftroom, as Uiri so kindly suggested earlier.

I'd say it's technically possible to exceed Mach 2 with FSW. X-29 has been at Mach 1.6, but that was a long time ago.
However, this possibility would take the cost far above 24 million. But in some borderline-MT 300 million dollar jet, built out of carbon nanotubes and MMC, I would expect the Mach 2 line crossed. In a regular priced plane, subsonic to 1.8 depending on the materials used, likely up to Mach 1.9 in a modern steel airframe, Mach 1.5 in aluminium (this is a bit cheap for titanium, which would be somewhere in between).

Not Mach 2.83 definitely though.


SSU:
I've looked through your design, and other than this FSW and high speed not matching bit, there's only one other problem. The g-limit is too low, increase it to +10g, maybe even +11g. Generally a normal plane will never need any more than +9g, since the pilots pass out before that anyway, but a FSW is naturally more twitchy, so would be subject to greater peak overloads. As this is a fairly advanced design, I would still raise the price somewhat, close to the 40 million range, if you want to have proper avionics in this.

The NSD is not a be all-end all of design, it's somewhat prone to fads and groupthink, but it can be useful to a novice designer as to learn the basics and avoid the most common mistakes.

Other than the issues above, everything seems right, so it might be that you have run it through a specialist indeed (FSW are an exotic, so one indeed might not be explicitly aware of their issues). I know that out of NS players, Non Aligned States, Capsule Corporation and Pontinia are aerospace engineers or, in case of the latter, studying for the degree. If the friend in question was someone else, could you give me a way to contact him, at least the nation name? I'm working on some aerospace designs now, but I don't have the qualifications, and could use some advice from those who do.

Thanks, i just edited the mistake that was addressed and it's fixed now. Thanks for the advice and for assisting me correcting the problem. The person that helped me doesn't have a nationstates account, although he does study somethings about the aircrafts, the friend that helped me, i used to be in a ezboard forum, ezboard balkan forum and his nick goes by the name Mig, and his older brother is a trainee pilot somewhere in Croatia and we use to keep in contact through the forums but now it's through MSN along with other few members from the defunct Ezboard Forums.

We are wiring $76 million for two airframes, and also request that support technicians be placed at the disposal of TMoD officers and technical specialists during this evaluation process. If the aircraft is deemed fitting of our Air Force's needs, we anticipate a quantity order of approximately 320 airframes with options for 150-200 more at a later date.
