Skymedia is a provider of four services - television, internet, telephone and mobile. We offer all these services at low prices, offering amazing quality while we're at it. Skymedia began as jQue TV, a television provider that offered brilliant quality, a brilliant price and general awesomeness. In 2008, jQue TV joined Sky Corporation, where it was greeted with a telephone provider, Skyphone. Then, Skyphone launched Skymobile, and finally Skyweb. In 2010, an executive had a brilliant idea. Television

Skytv, as jQue will be known from now onwards, is Skymedia's television offering. Redesigned from the beginning to offer you the very best in content and style, Skytv now offers over 2000 channels, 400 of which are in high-definition and 200 are in 3D. To sweeten this, Skytv by default offers live pause, rewind and recording functions, turning your Set-Top-Box into a media manager. The new box is even better, featuring a HDMI slot, a USB port, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Digital Optical Audio.

The box also contains a 1TB Solid State Drive, making it ultra-quiet yet spacious. In addition to this, if you are connected to Wi-Fi and subscribe to a online cloud service such as Skycloud*, you can hold up to 5TB of additional data. The Skybox contains three TV tuners, allowing you to watch one program and record two others.

Broadband
Skymedia offers super-fast broadband, making use of technologies such as fibre-optic cables and light-variation. This provides the customer with cutting-edge broadband speeds, enough to perform all sorts of things online, from streaming video to downloading it, from a video conference call to five-minute movie downloads.

Speeds range from 10Mb to super-fast 50Mb - with unlimited data and no Fair-Usage Policy. We also offer Mobile Broadband, with smaller speeds but the ability to take anywhere. In addition to this, we provide a free combined modem and router.

Dial-Up
For customers who do not wish to purchase faster speeds of internet access such as broadband, we still offer a Dial-Up option. We offer two types, Unmetered and Pay As You Go. Unmetered is best for heavy use, although we'd recommend you purchase broadband instead. PAYG is the cheaper option for those who rarely touch the internet. Dial-up is when you computer literally calls a number we provide, then tethers to gain connection. We only charge for the initial dial, after dial you can use as much as you wish. However, our dial number is not static, so your computer will automatically redial every hour of use.

In unmetered, we provide you with 10-60 hours of use a month, and you pay accordingly like in phone contracts. However, there are no fixed contracts and you're free to leave us at any time.

Telephone

The first thing you need when subscribing to Skyphone is a Skyphone Line, which we charge only £4.99 for it. However, if you already have a connection to most landline providers, we can use that if you agree to pay line rental to them. Skyphone's are remarkably good, according to commentators, as they also use fibre-optic cables, and come with a free video phone. The video phone we offer, the QED, is touchscreen, and features many features including Wi-Fi, a calender system with synchronisation and email access.

We sell our phone connections in two types: Deal&Pay and TalkTime. Deal&Pay is when we give you unlimited calls to landlines in your nation, plus Sky mobiles. TalkTime is similar to a contract on mobile phones - you only pay for what you want. On TalkTime, your minutes are used for any phone number. Deal&Pay off-tariff prices are listed below.

Skycloud

Skycloud is an online data storage service, available by subscription purely to Skymedia customers. Skycloud allows you to hold up to 5TB of extra information on the internet, giving you space to hold your movies, TV shows, music and documents. Skycloud is compatible with the Skytv box (the Nene Box), the Sky QED and most smartphones and tablets, in addition to the obvious feature of being viewable on the internet. Skycloud is currently only available in Dungeyland, but will be available in most countries by Septmember 3rd 2010.

Skystore

The Skystore is an online store for music, movies, TV shows and more, visible to view on all Sky devices and most smartphones and tablets. The Skystore allows you to purchase apps, and synchronise them with Skycloud. Signing-up to Skystore is free, not requiring a credit or debit card, and some items are available for free. However, a lot of data can be sold for a price. Skystore downloads onto your computer, Skytv box or QED, and is completely under your control. Skystore is free to access, but most content is priced.

Even neighbour Kalasion (yes, that's us) housed some customers. Unfortunately, more nimble companies have stolen their positions on the scale of business. But the biggest blow was when Moresby joined Kalasion, and the name Moresby suddenly had no meaning. Business limboed. Now, the company is wobbling, looking for a support to land on. Skymedia is seen as a thriving foreign company which doesn't seem to be able to even near the same fate. MoresbyConnect is even willing to drop its identity altogether and become a simple department of Skymedia. Skymedia will get a handful of plans for the Internet and for mobile phones.

If not, typically for me personally, that's a no-no on purchasing as you're not buying anything that'll be very meaningful on the international market. Also, especially if you don't have one, you really should have more info up... give the reasons why you should be considered - obviously it isn't for international sales, give some reasons. You'll also have to have information on the company, services/products so that he's buying more than just a name. If you've got the largest market in your nation and you've got stats/info on services/products, it's more likely to get attention then not having that information. Just a little helpful info... tomorrow, you might wanna jump on and either edit your post or post a new one with all the services you offer, info on them, etc... and give benefits to him that are more than just "New staff, new plans, and extra money." that means really very little if you don't have the info, store front, etc.

OOC: Nah, its fine. I'll respond to the VizAir post here since I'm writing anyway. This thread covers the price, speed and the such. At least we offer 20Mbps, which is very fast, enough to stream TV. We also have a guarantee (which I haven't written down yet) which gives your money back if the monthly average speed is more than 5Mbps off how much you pay for. Our best is the outrageously fast 50Mbps at £28 a month per modem/router. Basically, it would cost £28 a month for every modem you buy. Modems are designed to connect up to 100 people, although speeds might suffer up to 3-4Mbps. As each plane is roughly 400 people, it would cost £108 per plane per month. Considering you have 2105 planes, thats £2 728 080 a year, which considering the scale of your operation, is quite good. TV however, will surely beat NINnet TV, because it would be from satellite, making it fast and allowing HD and 3D (well you could watch HD with our internet). Plus we have more channels, which all work across the globe thanks to the services your IBC provides as well as other deals we've made. Skymobile works on satellite, and has a new technology called Bluewave, which makes it possible to use in an aircraft environment. Skymobile will literally reach more people, and again Bluewave is very cheap (LED signalling) and would cut the customers costs, and therefore your costs.

In order to get the claimed 50Mbps - and we would like to inquire if you are working on anything higher - what would the ideal ratio be on people per modem? Would it be 50? Correct us if we're wrong, but going by 50 people per modem, and with all 1,323,530 seats being accounted for on our 2105 passenger aircrafts, we are looking at £741,188 per month when looking at £28/month for the 50Mbps.

In addition, what would be the cost of providing your television, with HD and 3D, to our airline for our lounges and all aircraft?

Dear Sirs,

50Mbps is the upper bound at the minute, but we are planning to release a new 75Mbps connection. The ideal ratio is one modem to every 50 connections, but the box can reach 100 connections without compromising speed above 5Mbps, which makes little difference compared to the huge gain you'd make by purchasing Skyweb. With 1,323, 530 seats on your aeroplanes, you would need 13 236 modems. This brings the price to £370 608 for 2105 planes, which is an extremely good price. In addition to this, you must consider domestic travel, which mightn't require internet connections and lower classes, in which you might also wish to forsake the internet. Also, you have to consider that most passengers won't be using the internet all the time. This would boost the speed of the modems, and with future software updates, would allow your modems to reach above the 50Mbps limit.

The price for providing television, per subscription is £25.97 per month including HD and 3D. Each box has three TV tuners, but these are analogue tuners, and as such can be split into three, providing nine tuners per box, plus the emergency tuner (Dangish Law states there must be an additional fully functioning digital tuner), making ten per box. Assuming each plane has 350 pasengers, thats 39 (to the nearest whole number) boxes per plane. With 2105 planes, you reach 82, 095 boxes. Multiply this by the subscription, and you've reached £2 132 007.15. While this may seem expensive, we are able to offer you a 20% discount on this order, as it is above £2 million. Again, you might not wish to cater for all passengers on all services.

Alternatively, you could offer some passengers premium services like 3D, some HD and some all the packages.
