You dont have to replace the VLS cells, if you instead put the starfire interceptors into a (assuming they are small enough) quack-pack container, you could fit 4ish missiles into a single Mk-41 cell, so you wouldnt have to replace those while you are still able to fit larger missiles into the VSL cell.
