It could be very beneficial depending on how you think of it. For instance cargo ships would only have to travel the distance to the gate rather than the entire distance. this will save you tons in the cost of energy and fuel. Furthermore you will be directly connected to the mass relays that the IFMO uses to initiate a jump into enemy space. Lastly your fellow members of the JSA will be able to use the gates to transport our cargo ships to your systems more quickly, and provide reinforcements in the even that you should fall under attack. In another sense this gate would eventually become a hub, that is perhaps worthy of its own stations and a point from which the JSA can colonize nearby worlds. if these are good enough reason for you we will happily send the gate upon confirmation of the monetary transfer.

Your explaination gave us more information then we had expected, the Tribunes have spoken and we wish the construction of a Hyperspace gate fifteen hundred lightyears from the Iriquos Omega system and the Nubian Expanse, we also wish that no colonies be made around the gate, for fear of constant pirate attacks, finally we wish full control over the gate and whatever goods come through it, we will not allow military vessels through the gate unless during a time of war. Are these terms agreeable?
