Our History

1940-1950
Larsaka Air Emerges as the first airline in then colonial Larsaka, a product of an influx of Aircraft that occurred during World War II. A pilot himself, HaoLin founded the company in 1947 under the name of "Larsaka Colonial Airways" serving several British possessions with small aircraft. The Airline saw reasonable success, with regional government officials using the Airline extensively to travel to destinations throughout the country. HaoLin flew the majority of the Airline's flights and became well known among by many administrators and travelers.

1950-1960
A large increase in population due to an era of relative prosperity led to more business for the airline, which saw explosive growth in the 50s. Larsaka as a colony experienced large economic growth, and the new found wealth allowed more citizens to fly, growing the industry. Larsaka Air's head start in the 40s gave it the boost the Airline needed to dominate the Airline market. Several new planes were purchased, as well as the Airline's first office off site of the Airport in Larsaka City.

1960-1870
The sixties were a time of more growth for the Airline, but low passenger growth in the late sixties prevented the Airline from reaching its full potential. It is at this time that major cities across Larsaka and South Caprica begin to invest in Air travel, and as a result Larsaka Air, still called "Larsaka Colonial Airways", expanded to several nearby international destinations. It is at this time that Haolin begins to stop flying on routes and begins to work full time in the few offices the Airline had.

1970-1980
The turbulent decade stifled growth for the Airline, which had to close several routes due to huge fuel costs . Several new concrete airstrips are built by the transport ministry in the early seventies went unused for quite some time, causing them to fall into disrepair. Toward the late sixties, the colony gained a reputation for its poor Air Infrastructure and passenger growth dropped even more. HaoLin led the company through the turbulent times and had to make many tough decisions.

1980-1990
Redemption for the Airline occurred in the eighties, with the colony again becoming prosperous and thus creating more revenue for the airline.
An era of more growth for the Airline occurred because of new tourism and heavy government investment in Air Infrastructure, with several new terminal buildings being built. Larsaka Air acquired its first jet craft in 1986 and has employed them ever since. Several routes into northern and southern Caprica were opened, which would prove vital to the Airline's success very soon.

1990-2000
The great Earthican Depression hit the Airline hard, and it almost went under because of it. Almost every other Larsakan based carrier did go under, and it was Larsaka Air's international routes that kept it going. It is because of this that Larsaka Air begins to focus entirely on international routes, where better infrastructure meant more profits and passengers for the Airline. One positive gleaned from this period was the explosive migration of South East Asian peoples to the country, which gained its independence in 1997. This increased the passenger base dramatically.

2000-2010
As Earthica began to pull out of the Great Earthican Depression, the Airline began to see real growth numbers and consolidated many routes. Passenger numbers began to rise again, and domestic routes again became profitable. By the late 2000s, the Airline began to see huge growth and it opened its first flights to Oceania. Olympic Air also starts to operate in this time on the low cost model.

2010-present
A golden age has struck the company, with huge passenger growth and tourism interest in Larsaka growing as well. Several recent events hosted by Larsaka, including the Earthica World Cup, only cemented Larsaka's Air place as the prime international carrier in Earthica. Then, a another momentous event occurred when Olympic Air, which grew to dominate Larsakan domestic routes, merged with Larsaka Air, creating an industry giant that is excited for the future.

At Larsaka Air, we believe the flight starts when you book the ticket and guarantee that the service we provide will be of the highest quality all the way from check in to arrival at the destination and beyond.
At the Airport
Image

Tired of waiting in long lines to check in? We would like to introduce our new FastCheck system, a way to check in using a QR code. That's right, all you have to do is show the QR code you will receive once you book the ticket on your phone or other device to the scanner and it will automatically check you in for your flight. These scanners will be located just outside the check in counters at the Airport and will prevent you from waiting in a line to check in. If you want to check a bag, staff will be glad to check it at the kiosk reserved for checking bags only. These kiosks are located in every airport we fly out of and have much shorter lines than our regular kiosks.

Dragon Club
Image

Our business and first class passengers, as well as Diamond card members, get exclusive access to the Dragon Club, a luxurious lounge located in all of our hubs and focus cities. They serve gourmet local cuisine made of the finest ingredients to waiting passengers, who can enjoy the bar, sleep, relax, take a shower, and other services. All lounges have free 4G LTE wifi and several outlets for charging devices. Private rooms can be rented for five bucks an hour that have memory foam beds for rest between lay overs. A 24/7 staff attends to the passenger''s every needs, and a concierge can book hotels, transfer flights, and much much more. Passengers can enjoy this space while looking out over the tarmac and eating fine foods made from fresh and local ingredients.

Online Services
Image

We offer a variety of services on our website, and we encourage you to check them all out while you are here. You can book a ticket, book hotels and rent cars, learn about sales and special offers, and much much more. When you book a flight, you can either print out your ticket from home or receive a QR code that you can use to check in for your flight. Furthermore, you can sign up for our rewards program and gain access to our lounges and other amenities. Also, you can download our mobile app, where you can track your flight and book new flights! Furthermore, you can connect to one of our many customer service representatives, who will gladly take feedback and answer questions about your experience with Larsaka Air.

One Flight One Tree
Image

Protecting the environment is a key value at Larsaka Air, and one of the many ways we do this is One Flight One Tree initiative, in which our employees will plant one tree for every flight that leaves the ground. We have planted thousands of trees so far, and look forward to more growth so that we can plant even more trees as time continues. They are planted in Larsakan national parks and can be planted in other nations upon request. This is just one of the many ways we give back to the environment and the community, which we try to do in every city we fly to. Other ways we protect the environment include the use of eco friendly fuels, as well as installing wing-lets on as many planes as we can. These save thousands of gallons of fuel.
