My post could be a little offtopic, but I think you shouldn't use Polish diactric marks here. I'm also Polish, but when on English langage sites, I use Polish letters only when it is necessary.

In this case it's necessary then. Kościuszko is Kościuszko, not Kosciuszko. When you don't use diaitical marks spelling is incorrect. And the fact that it's an American forum doesn't change much, at least according to me.
