Brief History

Legion Hospital Corporation was founded by Sir Dr Fred Aubender and Dr Judy Aubender in 1928, operating a chain of clinics that operated all around the Recon Empire. The "Aubender Hospital Corporation", as it was named back then, first managed the Pryston City Hospital before Sir and Dr Aubender prepared the company for an IPO in 1955. With the rapid investments through its initial public offering, the Aubender Hospital Corporation obtained more hospitals and grew its operations to over 150 nationwide.

During the Modeli Republic era in 1962, the corporation was purchased by the Modelian Government and renamed as the "Recon National Hospital Corporation", followed by an absorption of 3 other hospital corporation contenders during that time. The RNHC became the single largest hospital corporation in the nation, operating over 350 state-owned hospitals and facilities.

It was not until the great monarchy reinstatement of 1997 that ushered the new privatization of the large hospital corporation once more. The corporation was split into several branches as there were rapid purchases with the new capitalism system, with the clinic division purchased by the Legion Corporation in 1998, the hospital division purchased by the new Recon Imperial Government in 1999, and its specialist facilities division purchased by Grand Royale Group Holdings in 2000. Following over 10 years of operations, the Recon Imperial Government finally re-consolidated the corporation into the "Recon Royal Hospital Corporation" in 2012. It was purchased by Legion Health Group in 2014, and Legion Hospital Corporation was born. The original Aubender family heir, Mr Andrew Aubender, is currently appointed as the Vice-President of Legion Health Group.

Dr Kennedy Lee is the Chief Executive of the Legion Hospital Corporation, and concurrently the dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Dion. Dr Lee is not only accredited for western medicine, but is also a certified TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine) physician as well. Dr Lee has held various significant posts in the field of medicine, such as the Medical Commissioner of the Recon Health Board, as well as member of the the Board of Administrators of Pryston City Hospital, Dion Imperial Hospital and Reconwood Hospital.

Dr Lee has previously served as the 2nd President at The Legion Foundation, of which he was succeeded by the current president, Dr Susan Desmond. A radiologist and molecular immunologist by specialty, Dr Lee obtained his MD from the University of Dion and his Master's in Health Administration from the Pryston City University.

Teaching Hospitals are partial hospitals which operate as usual in general aspects with a standard hospital, but offer learning opportunities throughout the hospital. From observable operating theatres and medical research labs to lecture halls and pathology centres, our teaching hospitals provide immersive learning environments for medical students to experience first-hand what it takes to work at hospitals and allow them immediate work experience after their graduation. Even before graduation, students can be requested to join medical teams all around the hospital as attachment projects, allowing wider and more comprehensive learning of knowledge, or specialization training. Our Facilities: Clinics

Clinics are essential to reaching grassroots level to provide the necessary healthcare services to the general civilians. Clinics offer outpatient care, in comparison to hospitals, covering mainly primary healthcare needs of the local population. Clinics are usually run by general practitioners, however some clinics can feature specialist units as well. Clinics can be operated privately or state-owned, of which the latter requires full government subsidies to support these facilities. Our clinics host several amenities, such as lounges and basic retail services, however there are no overnight options available at our clinics.

Each clinic is supported by 1-3 doctors, and 2-4 nurses. In each of our facilities, there is one minor surgery theatre available, as well as 1-3 diagnostic room, which includes basic imaging technology and basic pathology tests. Clinics have a substantially lower cost of construction and maintenance than hospitals, however specialist add-ons may cause rise in costs. Following an outbreak of Feltzer's Disease in the Recon Empire, Legion Hospital Corporation will be dispatching its emergency medical teams to the city of Alvesco, where currently 56 people are infected with the Feltzer's Disease. There is 1 dead at the moment, and the Recon Imperial Government is on full alert to curb this outbreak. Legion Hospital Corporation is glad to be part of this effort, and we hope to control the disease before it mutates into Feltzer's II Disease.

More information about the disease, Feltzer's Disease is a contagious skeletal virus is airbourne. Founded by Dr Martin J. Feltzer in 1922, the disease has little physical impact and relatively little damage, but has high resistances to antibodies and cures. However its main risk is that the disease is known to mutate extremely quickly, often within a few days, and can lead to a widespread pandemic of the various forms of Feltzer's Disease. There are currently 14 known forms of Feltzer's Disease, of which all of them targeting the various bones in the body. The disease is native to the Recon Empire, and is suspected to arise from the invention of the Glycopetamino acid, a chemical solution commonly associated as the "key" to chloroic barbebutenol sedative. Glycopetamino acid dissipates glycopetamino gases which can result in symptoms of Feltzer's Disease, mainly muscle spasms, partial paralysis and skin ultra-sensitivity.
