History
Trephin Motors, founded in 1933 by Jack Trephin in Duvall, ViZion as Trephin Automotive Company was formed when Mr. Duvall felt the industry could be revolutionized with improved technologies and unique design. During the late 30's through the 1950's, Trephin Motors racked up most awards in stock car racing than any other ViZionarian brand, and was known for its unique styling and technological edge over many of its competitors.
The company experience a downturn in success with degrading quality and technological improvements stalling out during the 1960's and 1970's, and by 1982 the company was at the brink of bankruptcy. It was then that industry-leading Ando Motors reached out to Trephin Automotive Company with a proposed merger. In 1983, the two brands consumated the merger, creating Ando-Trephin Motors. Ando Motors was known for its swanky designs, upscale features, and luxury vehicles, and for the past decade had been known as the leader in automotive technology and ingenuity in the ViZionarian market.
