It is with great sadness that Attico's announce the stepping down of International Manager Rick Harris, who is moving on to become Business Manager at newly crowned sister company Oxygen Eateries. Rick Harris has been vital in the growth of the company from its humble domestic beginnings, steering Attico's through the International market and introducing us to thousands of new customers. Rick Harris also represented the company to much praise at the AstyrEcon Conference in Kelonna last Summer, including a speech on the final day of proceedings.

Stepping into his boots will be Francesca Wallis, a long-time employee of the company who for the past seven years has been crucial in the scouting and agreements with suppliers. Francesca is a popular choice for the position, receiving the backing of not only the Brewery staff but also the office and eventually the board.

As an Arena company, Archon is very interested in Astyrian deals. They are real deals, and the best type- keeping it local, and cooperative in the interests of all parties. It is therefore with great pleasure that I write to you today, representing the Alpha Lofts brand of the Archon Hotels Group.

Before the new management of Oxygen Eateries, both of our brands were using Oxygen as their sole resident restaurant to all hotel clients. Whilst Collections is aimed at more the family, Alpha Lofts are for the businessmen and those looking to get straight on with number-crunching, buzzwords, and three-point slides. It is of great belief in Woodstead that the public house is the soul of every community. A village without a pub, or even one of those fancy gastro types, is a village divided and silent. That is probably why all great soap operas in Woodstead feature pubs scenes.

In recent months, overwhelming responses for improvement have shown a huge demand for a pub on the doorstep. Now, obviously, we cannot scout around every street corner for pubs, searching what is on tap, and spotting the greatest anecdotal regulars. Some go to the wall, and we say that is life. However, that is why we write to you today to request that every Alpha Lofts hotel will come equipped with an Attico's. We can bring a right knees up to the hotel. What kind of businessman would turn down a pint just downstairs, or head to that meeting after being filled with a voluptuous maiden that you call an Ecossian Breakfast, aye? With your acceptance we would like to license our premises under Atticos for alcohol and food vending.

We can fund the gradual move. We are committed to what would be a sizeable job- as you can see here.

However, we most certainly agree that you are well within your right to raise the issue of dominating the pub market, thus driving local independents out. However, Alpha Lofts are usually based in close proximity to airports, or in city centres- where it tends to be sparse facilities for the former, or just another one of many in the latter.
