Armaments
The Szuk-30 is armed with a single 30 mm GSh-30-1 cannon in the starboard wingroot, and has up to 10 hardpoints for missiles and other weapons. Its standard missile armament for air-to-air combat is a mixture of Szukxoi Thehd-Luryo R-73 (AA-11 Tcrearjehr, "Archer" eq.), Szukxoi Thehd-Luryo R-27 (AA-10 Ganisli, "Alamo" eq.) weapons, the latter including extended range and IR guided models. The Szuk-30 may also carry a single Szukxoi Thehd-Luryo R-77 (AA-12 Drethaahn "Adder" eq.) cruise (conventional or nuclear) missiles for tactical and strategic bombing missions.

The Szuk-30 has a high-contrast tuneable HUD and a Helmet mounted display capability.

The super-maneuverable "Elvisz" Szuk-30 is a twin-engine air superiority fighter aircraft originally based on the Terran Russian Su-27. Development of the Elvisz fighters began in 2150 when the United Realms Naval and Air Forces of Athretvari commissioned Szukxoi HDI for an air superiority fighter to match and supersede the capabilities of the advanced fighters of Nedea, St Saratoga, and 46566.

The Szuk-30 boasts a 3,530-kilometre (3.5 hex) range, heavy armament, advanced avionics and high maneuverability.

The URAF utilizes the Szuk-30 most often during air superiority missions, but it is capable of almost all types of combat operations. The Szuk-30 is a perfect interceptor and deep-penetration aircraft, and complements air wings with smaller fighters. The Szuk-30's closest MT Terran counterpart is the Russian Su-27, and American F-15.

Variants
The Szuk-30x is a two-seat, dual-role fighter for all-weather, air-to-air and air-to-surface deep interdiction missions.
The Szuk-30n is a navy variant with landing-hook for use on aircraft carriers.
The Szuk-30v is a vertical take-off and landing variant, (30% reduction in fuel capacity and range to accommodate additional VTOL hardware)

Design
The Szuk-30 is a first generation of Athretvari's native air fighter, designed and built by Hvea Airworks of Athretvari exclusively for Szukxoi HDI. The original Szuk-27 was directly based on Terran Russian Su-27. The Szuk-30 is large aircraft giving it ample internal volume to accommodate its powerful engines, large internal weapons bays and fuel tanks. In an effort to minimize its weight, the Szuk-30's structure is composed of a high percentage of titanium reducing the craft's weight 15%. No composite materials were used.

The Szuk-30’s twin Hvea AL-31F turbofan engines are widely spaced, for safety and to ensure uninterrupted airflow through the forward intakes. The space between the engines also provides additional lift, reducing wing loading. Movable guide vanes in the intakes allow Mach 2+ speeds, and help to maintain engine airflow at high alpha. A mesh screen over each intake prevents debris from being drawn into the engines during take-off.

The Szuk-30 utilizes the United Realms’s state-of-the-art fly-by-wire control system, independently developed by Szukxoi HDI based on its experience in the FY2000 Tostra bomber project. Combined with relatively low wing loading and powerful basic flight controls, it makes for an exceptionally agile aircraft, controllable even at very low speeds and high angles of attack. In air shows the aircraft has demonstrated its maneuverability briefly sustained level flight at a 120° angle of attack. Thrust vectoring has also been tested, allowing the fighter to perform hard turns with almost no radius, incorporate vertical somersaults into level motion and limited nose-up hovering.

Szuk-30n (Naval version)
The naval version of the Szuk-30 incorporates a landing hook for capture, and canards for additional lift, reducing take-off distances (important for aircraft carriers without catapults).

In addition to its considerable agility, the Szuk-30 uses its substantial internal volume for a large internal fuel capacity. In an overload configuration for maximum range, it can carry 9,400 kg (20,700 lb) of internal fuel, although its manoeuvrability with that load is limited, a normal load is 5,270 kg (11,620 lb).

MABMS-4 "Iron Shield" Mobile Anti-Ballistic Missile System

Postby Athretvari » Tue Mar 19, 2013 11:57 am

Missiles?! Ha! Ha! Ha! What missiles?!
Worried that bad-tempered superpower next door might rain fire and brimstone down on your Independence Day Parade? Fear not! Szukxoi HDI's MABMS-4 "Iron Shield" guarantees* you "clear skies" to enjoy the festivities.

Image

MABMS-4
"Iron Shield" Mobile Anti-Ballistic Missile System

The MABMS-4 "Iron Shield" Mobile Anti-Ballistic Missile System was designed to counter long- and mid-range rockets and +155 mm artillery shells with a range of up to 140 kilometers. Iron Shield will operate during day, night, and adverse weather conditions, and can respond up to 20 multiple threats simultaneously.

The MABMS-4 "Iron Shield" Mobile Anti-Ballistic Missile System has three integrated components:
  • Detection & Tracking Radar System: the 800km Advanced-Alert FasTarget RADAR System by Siriok, an Athretvar defense company and subsidiary of Szukxoi HDI.
  • Battle Management & Weapon Control (BMWC): the system's control center is built by Telemetrikathretvar, an Athretvar telecommunications and software company.
  • Missile Firing Unit: the unit launches the Kygo interceptor missile, equipped with electro-optic sensors and several steering fins for high maneuverability. The missile is built by Kygo Rockets of Athretvari.
The MABMS-4 radar is an intergrated variable-signal and infra-red RADAR developed and manufactured by Szukxoi's Siriok division and referred to as AARS-800. It detects the rocket's exhaust heat signature up to 800 km and tracks its trajectory. Then, the BMWC calculates the expected hit point according to the reported data, and uses this information to determine whether the target constitutes a threat to a designated area; only in this case an interceptor missile is fired to detonate and destroy the rocket before it reaches the expected impact area. The system's operators may override the auto-target system to manually order the intercept of any target within 550 km.

SENSORS

ARMAMENTS
Kygo 550km Anti-Ballistic missiles x4

Crew: 6 (1 driver, 1 RADAR technician, 4 ABMS technicians)

Cost: 15,000,000 NSD

* Szukxoi HDI MABMS-4 "Iron Shield" Mobile Anti-Ballistic Missile System cannot insure you have sunny, partly sunny, partly cloudly, or any other type of weather come Independence Day. (Except "winter-like" weather has been observed over test sites when the MABMS-4 was used to intercept and destroy a nuclear test target). Szukxoi HDI does not guarantee defense against missiles or other types of rocket-propelled ballistic projectiles with NCON Battle Rules ratings above NS Arms Manufacturing Index of 11, and Information Technology Index of 14.

HELS2 "Evil Eye" Mobile High Energy Laser System

Postby Athretvari » Tue Mar 19, 2013 12:01 pm

"Look deep into my eyes."
Szukxoi's HELS2 "Evil Eye" Mobile High Energy Laser System—
It's not black magic, but they'll think it is.

Image

HELS-2
"Evil Eye" Mobile High Energy Laser System

The HELS2 was developed primarily as an anti-ballistic missile, anti-aircraft, anti-armor, and anti-personnel weapon. Like many Szukxoi products, the High Energy Laser System was designed with both military and civilian security use in mind. As such, the TelemetrikAthretvar lasers used by the HELS2 are manufactured specifically to allow varying degrees of emission intensity. Each HELS2 laser technician is capable of direct control over the intensity of both primary and targeting laser sets.

This ability allows for the HELS2 targeting laser set to be used as a crowd-control device at its second lowest setting—inducing an intense skin irritation on personnel targets, and even as an anti-personnel device at its highest setting—inducing near spontaneous corporal chemical combustion. Primary laser set variability allows for interference with target electronics up to thermal phase-transition induction of target shielding—aka melting the target's metallic covering, and causing a cataclysmic failure.

Each laser emits exclusively in the microwave band, being between wavelengths 1 mm – 1 meter, frequencies 300 GHz – 300 MHz, and with photon energies between 1.24 meV – 1.24 µeV.

The targeting laser set intensity is variable from 1kW to 50kW. The primary laser set is variable from 20kw to 200kW. It should also be noted that multiple HELS2 can be coupled to achieve a combined higher intensity if necessary.

Individually, each HELS2 is equipped with a Siriok 500km Advanced-Alert Mobile RADAR System capable of simultaneously detecting and targeting up to 10 individual targets at a maximum distance of 500km each.

In multiple, 60-second trials conducted for the Unified Armed Forces of Athretvari, the HELS2 successfully demonstrated the capability of detecting, tracking, and destroying on average 49.78 of 50 test targets varying in size and type from a MGM-31 Pershing-equivalent solid-fueled two-stage medium-range ballistic missile, weighing ~10,260 lb (~4,650 kg), with length of 34.4 ft (10.5 metres), and diameter of 3.3 ft (1.02 m); to smaller jet fighter-launched AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, weighing ~105lb (~48kg), with length of 64 in (163 cm), and diameter of 7 in (17.8 cm).

The actual time required to burn through 1 cm of carbon steel is 1.1 seconds.

The system is capable of firing its primary laser set a total of 2 pulse rounds per second at 100kW, 1 pulse round per second at maximum 200kW power. It is capable of emitting a sustained 100kw beam for 60 seconds, requiring 30 seconds between firings; or a sustained 200kW beam for 30 seconds, requiring 60 seconds between firings.

It should also be noted, that all Szukxoi Siriok systems are networkable. When coupled together, or with other modern mobile, and fixed RADAR systems, their overall capabilities can be greatly enhanced.

General Characteristics
  • Axle configuration: 8x6, one steering axle, and three drive axles with a strong internal beam connecting them to the cab.*
    * The drive axles can be linked via in-cab controls to provide more torque when higher traction is needed.
  • Range: 500 km
  • Engine: 1x AthRoads Engines MFT-1500C multi-fuel turbine engine @ 1,500 shp (1,120 kW)
  • Weight: 13,500 kilograms (29,765 lb)
  • Length: 10 m (32.8 ft)
  • Width: 3.66 m (12 ft)
  • Height: 4.26 m (14 ft)

Each laser emits exclusively in the microwave band, being between wavelengths 1 mm – 1 meter, frequencies 300 GHz – 300 MHz, and with photon energies between 1.24 meV – 1.24 µeV.

The targeting laser sets intensities are variable from 1kW to 50kW. The primary laser sets are variable from 20kw to 200kW. It should also be noted that multiple Szuk-HHTHELS-8 can be coupled to achieve a combined higher intensity if necessary.

Individually, each Szuk-HHTHELS-8 is equipped with a Siriok 250km Advanced-Alert Mobile RADAR System, and a Siriok 360 200km Advanced Alert Doppler RADAR System capable of simultaneously detecting and targeting up to 25 individual targets at a maximum distance of 200km each. (Networked use and strategic positioning of Szukxoi's HELCC Mobile High Energy Laser Command-and-Control Center, and other Szuk-HHTHELS-8 systems can greatly increase this range and the system's overall accuracy.)

In multiple, 60-second trials conducted for the Unified Armed Forces of Athretvari, the Szuk-HHTHELS-8 successfully demonstrated the capability of detecting, tracking, and destroying 99 of 100 test targets varying in size and type from a MGM-31 Pershing-equivalent solid-fueled two-stage medium-range ballistic missiles, weighing ~10,260 lb (~4,650 kg), with length of 34.4 ft (10.5 metres), and diameter of 3.3 ft (1.02 m); to smaller jet fighter-launched AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, weighing ~105lb (~48kg), with length of 64 in (163 cm), and diameter of 7 in (17.8 cm).

The actual time required to burn through (using one primary laser pair) 1 cm of carbon steel is 1.1 seconds at 200kW.

The system is capable of firing each primary laser pair a total of 2 pulse rounds per second at 100kW, 1 pulse round per second at maximum 200kW power. Each lens pair is capable of emitting a sustained 100kw beam for 60 seconds, requiring 30 seconds between firings; or a sustained 200kW beam for 30 seconds, requiring 60 seconds between firings.

Description
The 19-crew, 825t displacement, TN1 Tsok Nahrahpa Coastal Defense Submarine has been optimised for littoral operations in coastal waters, but remains a formidable adversary in blue (deep) water environments.

The submarine is named after Nahrahpa, the Athretvar goddess of naval warfare whose name means death-bringer. The Nahrahpa is a superior coastal defense submarine for littoral missions in terms of manoeuvrability and fire power.

The Nahrahpa can lurk on the seabed in coastal waters where the water depth is typically less than 100m. At a speed of 4kt the range is more than 3,000nm and more than 1,800nm at 8kt.

The Nahrahpa's design can incorporate extra performance options which are not mandatory for littoral missions but which customer countries may require, without degrading the submarine’s efficiency.

For specials operations, the Nahrahpa has a deployment airlock for combat swimmers, electronic warfare and intelligence gathering systems.

Nahrahpa Missions
The submarine missions cover anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence gathering, special operations, offensive mine mooring, covert tracking of illegal activities, single ship operations and cooperative operations with other ships or maritime assets. The Nahrahpa is equipped to communicate easily with other assets and command centres.

Hull Design
The double-hull structure gives good survivability and surfaced sea keeping characteristics. An X-configuration rudder has independently operated surfaces for a high level of manoeuvrability including a small turning radius. The small hull helps contribute to the submarine's stealth characteristics. The submarine has a diving depth to 240m and a submerged endurance of eight days. It also has a very low acoustic and visual signature.

Command and Control
The Nahrahpa is equipped with a Szukxoi DCNS SUBTICS submarine tactical integrated combat system. The combat management system is integrated with the sonar and other sensors (optical, optronic, electronic support measures, radar) and carries out the location and identification of vessels, target tracking, tactical analysis, decision making, action management, exchange of tactical data via datalinks, the control of weapons systems and engagement of targets.

The submarine is equipped with high-precision navigation and surveillance systems for operation in littoral waters. Surveillance missions can be successfully carried out while the submarine is at rest on the seabed.

Weapons
The Nahrahpa can accommodate new-generation heavyweight torpedoes such as the Black Shark, anti-ship missiles such as the Exocet SM-39 and a mine-laying system. The torpedoes and missiles are stored and carried in the six forward torpedo tubes. The small hull size of the submarine does not accommodate torpedoes and missiles for reload.

Special Forces
The Nahrahpa submarines, which can carry two passengers plus a team of six divers, can be deployed for special forces missions which gives the Nahrahpa an enhanced attack capability comparable to larger submarines. The submarine is fitted with a lock-out / lock-in chamber for combat swimmers.

HUCAH4 Heavy Urban Contact Assault Helicopter

Postby Athretvari » Thu Mar 21, 2013 4:43 pm

Image

Szukxoi's Heavy Urban Contact Assault Helicopter (HUCAH-4) is the perfect compliment to any urban security authority. Lightning-fast and highly maneuverable, the HUCAH-4 is a small and heavily armed assault-style helicopter specifically designed for use in tight urban environments, including within high-rise city centers. Built by Hvea Airworks, the HUCAH series is an outgrowth of Hvea's MetraSky commercial helicopter division's Thunder-Bird VI twin-engine series of helicopters, which were designed after Hvea was awarded a contract by the Great City of Maria, Athretvari to construct 158 new "heavy contact" helicopters for use by the city's Riot Squad.

The city's Riot Squad used four HUCAHs to great effect when violence broke-out and threatened to overwhelm local security forces during protests involving a reported 15,000 protesters at the 5th Annual IDCA Defense Ministers Conference held in Maria on 4-5 October 2012. The squad was able to restore order to the city's famed Enlightenment Square only 18 minutes after lift-off from Maria International Airport, nearly 45 km away.
