History of the company
The Materika Defence Arms Industry is one of the largest Military arms construction companies in the Aluvean Seas and has been the defacto company for the Queendom of Mesairien when upgrades in Military technology were required. MDAI was born in the 17th century as a single shipyard entity developing a brand new Mesairien Combat Frigate and just several decades later, thanks to the quality of said Frigates, the company gained funding from the Government and experienced rapid expansion, quickly expanding across the Island chain and moving into both Small Arms manufacture, and later Aerial development.
The MDAI soon became the main arms manufacturer for our company and quickly set about becoming the leader of National technologics, it was thanks to our breakthroughs that the Queendom is now the most technologically advanced Nation in the entire Aluvean Ocean and her Navy is one of the most powerful in existence, with advanced Armouring, Radar, Stealth and Engine technology. The Last of which consists of the Materika Engine and, by extension, Materika Warheads.
Today 53% of the MDAI’s shares are held by the Mesairien Government and now controls shipyards on every Island in Mesairien and her protectorate and factories/Aero domes situated on Mesa, Ria, Masire, Leone and Telsar Island.

For centuries the Queendom of Mesairien was trapped in a state of isolationism and just a few short decades ago, we were pulled out of this by the troubling Civil War raging in the Imperial Empire of the Brotherhood of Steel the 2nd.
After helping bring about peace once more our Government decided it prudent to buff up the Military and enter onto the world stage economically. As such, a massive and historic effort, co-ordinated with the Holy Empire of Constaniana, to retake the ancient Kingdom of Gaia (Which was lost nearly a Millennia ago) went underway. Once freedom for those lands was attained the Queendom discovered massive quantities of rare and raw minerals/metals.
Because of this discovery, our company is able to ascertain all of the materials we need to build our vessels at immensely cheap cost. As such, we have decided it would be greatly in our benefit to expand outwards from our country and begin trading with other Nations.
However, as aforementioned, the MDAI developed the Materika Engine and firearms that are the pride of the Mesairien Navy. Because of matters of National security, we CANNOT trade this highly secretive technology with any Nation – as such we have redesigned the vessels we will be building and selling to foreign Nations to run on either a Duo-Core Cold Fission Nuclear Engines or Highly efficient Diesel engine and fire ordinary Nuclear/Ballistic weaponry. We apologise, but hopefully you can understand our reasoning for this - the redesign causes some severe dips in performance and top speeds of vessels (By Mesairien standards) but they are still immensely powerful and well-worth the investment if you want or need a greatly respected and feared Navy.

Surface Vessels
Frigates
The standard, go-to vessel of the Mesairien Navy. Frigates cover a wide-array of ship sizes and firepower due to the lack of Corvettes in the current Mesairien Navy. These ships are medium sized, fast, plated with a Titanium-Carbon alloy - covered with several inches of Kevlar and armed to the teeth. We have six types of Frigate to offer, all of which carry their own pros and cons. The most advanced and recent of which is the Light Combat Frigate (LCF).

Cruisers
Generally used as patrol vessels for Mesairien and Protectorate waters. Although the Navy only uses three types of standard Cruiser they are still in wide use and carry the pinnacle of our technology. The Cruisers are a must have for any serious Naval power.

Destroyers
Like the Cruisers, these vessels are limited in number and variety compared to the Frigates but un-like our Cruisers the Destroyers often see many Naval missions outside of Protectorate waters as escorts, fast-attack missions, Intimidation operations etc. A standard Mesairien Destroyer firing Materika Warheads can scuttle a Battlecruiser within several minutes of battle. Of course, the major firepower and speed that these vessels rely upon comes at the cost of protection meaning Armour plating is severely limited.

These ships are the big-boys and girls of Mesairien designs. They range from the recently redesigned Nova-Class Aircraft Carrier (Mk2) to the Renti-Class Landing Platform Dock, utilized for Amphibious Assault. The Armouring and firepower of these vessels, of course, vary greatly so we encourage you to investigate the specifics of each one closely.

Submarines
Submarines are another major aspect of the Mesairien Navy and represent yet another pinnacle of technological achievement, both type of Submarine utilize an innovative ‘Peretaive-Drive’ – essentially a drive that runs a magnetic pulse through the vessels skin and absorbs Radar and Sonar pulses, meaning the vessel can quite literally make all the noise it wishes and not be detected on most modern forms of detection equipment.
Disclaimer: Ships and sonar stations with the most up-to date technology may still be able to pick up our subs on Sonar if they move to quickly, make too much noise, or disturb any solid underwater formations.
