NationStates Draftroom: Technological Hub of NationStates

Greetings,

For all armament (well, anything, really; we also have a forum for civilian technology) designers on NationStates, I would like to suggest joining the NS Draftroom. The NS Draftroom (abbreviated NSD) is a fora, originally created by Sarzonia, that serves as a location in which designers can post their design there before posting it here, allowing them to receive all necessary constructive criticism away from their in-character thread. Ultimately, it removes criticism (which hurts sales) and clutter from the game-forum thread.

We have forums for almost everything: ground technology, naval technology, air technology, missiles, civilian, strategy & tactics, et cetera.

It currently has ~370 registered members and ~77,000 posts.

Most of the time, its membership offers constructive criticism on your design (and, any nonconstructive criticism should be ignored and reported to the forum moderators) and will help you produce a product which has a higher degree of probability of selling on the international market. Furthermore, from an out-of-character perspective, the membership's role is also to help make your design more "realistic".

We offer a number of NS Informatives, which are papers written by the forum's membership on different topics:

We also have an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channel designed to provide instant feedback for any questions you may have. However, it has largely become a social channel, as well. Nevertheless, people with questions will receive answers.

To join the channel you need an IRC client, like mIRC or Chatzilla.

It's probably best if we avoid stickying such a topic, as it looks like we're giving out an official sponsor to the off-site (of which we have absolutely no control over, so that is a bit worrisome). So rather than going that route, we'll simply leave it as an unofficial encouragement, if you would like to learn more about NS technology.

I would say that the NSD membership is, collectively, the most knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated group of roleplayers on NS.

Also, NSD is more then just a hub for designs but also a place to learn the appropriate use of your designs, or rather to learn tactics or strategies to help build you mold your designs. Remember that vehicles, ships, and airplanes are usually built around a strategy or tactic developed by the nation's armed forces, you don't design something then try to mold a strategy around it.
