To: Her Royal Highness, Queen Brittany Rolaine of Kannap
Subject: Operation agreement
Your majesty,
Firstly, We are honoured that you would feel it necessary to contact us directly rather than through a government representative. Secondly, our country knows all too well the effects a civil war can have on ones economy, Kington Langley also suffered internal conflict in 2008 which saw the overthrow of the communist republic, news of your unfortunate situation and all following events often hit headlines here in Kington Langley. Therefore, it is my great pleasure to inform you that we have decided to accept this deal, funding the operation of this vessel which, while flying the Grand Star colours, will remain legally a Kannapian ship. We shall immediately return the ship to your control upon your request.
On a side note, we would be fully prepared to offer a suitable replacement in the highly unlikely event the Logan Rolaine should suffer damage beyond feasible repair or sink during its operation by Grand Star Lines. The profit split you propose would seem reasonable in a normal business situation however, as a sign of our support for the new Kannapian regime and the expansion of Kingtonian-Kannapian business friendship, we shall donate all profits generated on the Logan Rolaine to your government. While minisucle in comparison to your national income, we feel that every penny counts and should be used to quicken the process of your national reconstruction.
We hope that Grand Star Lines can make a positive difference,
Jack Sommers
