From the desk of Charles Okaïdi, Captain of the Picasso

First of all, on behalf of The Picasso and our people, I would like to introduce myself. I am Charles Okaïdi, Captain of the Picasso ship for almost the past decade.

The Picasso is a Washington Class battleship, designed by Sovereign California and purchased from Royal Beaufort Shipwrights, which we have refitted to serve as our home. She sails as part of The Sovereign Military Hospitaller and Artistic Flotilla of the Picasso , together with her five smaller sister ships and our fishing fleet.

We are a commune for artisans from around the world most of us living here for the best part of the past decade. Despite our peaceful aims we have come to the realization that our right to live as we do we must also defended against those would do us harm and as such have a small man security force.

We strongly believe in the ideals of the CASTLE Accords and the Kázmér Doctrine on Patriation of Liberated Slaves. Following debate among the Council have signed it into our laws, however in order to protect our rights and interests and to validate our signing of a national document we request that the major government (s) of the alliance recognize us as a sovereign entity by visiting our website linked, The Picasso seeks International Recognition and completion of the necessary.

We look forward to a lasting relationship between our peoples,

Regards

Beep bop. How is this going? Is there any anti-slaver alliance active that stands in opposition?

Yeah still around here and there.
When I was young I used to pray for a bike, then I realized that God doesn't work that way, so I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness.
"Deus vult" is Latin for "God wills it" and it was the cry of the people at the declaration of the First Crusade by Pope Urban II at the Council of Clermont in 1095.

Of course. Of course, that "alliance" is mainly Allanea, who threatens to carpet-bomb anyone that buys an indentured servant or two.

I was half asleep. I meant slaver alliance that stands in opposition- being a member and full-blown support of Allanea's methods, I know them well.:D

Oh yes. A slaver alliance.

That would be nice. Please give me the visiting card and contact information for the nearest slaver alliance.

Ah. Well, no, I don't believe so. A few months ago I believe I saw a couple threads for slaver alliances, one by Stedicules and the other by TBP, but I don't think they ever amounted to anything really... though they both seemed to have a good amount of members.

Here is one slaver alliance I was thinking of: The Sovereign League.

Oh hello, my fellow dormant CASTLE members! :P

Official Correspondence
German Democratic People's Ministry for Foreign Affairs

To: The Director of Political Affairs, Coalition to Abolish Slavery, Trafficking and Linked Enterprises (CASTLE)
From: The Hon. Lothar Volkmann, Foreign Minister, German Democratic People's State
Date: 5 June 2013

Subject: Ratifying the CASTLE Accords

Dear Sir/Madam,

We applaud your organization's adamant stance against the evil that is slavery and firmly believe we share a similiar opinion of the scum whom perpetrate it; that they are not deserving of the respect ordinarily accorded to fellow human beings. However, in our past efforts to impede the conduct of slavery and its associated activities worldwide, we have found that as an individual state, our limited resources all too often cannot be effectively brought to bear to produce tangible results.

As such, our government has undertaken to sign the CASTLE Accords, firmly believing that only by pooling our collective strength, may we aspire to crushing victories against the slaver dogs. Additionally, we ask that it be signed in the name of our glorious leader, the Chairwoman of the Council of State, Meike Honecker. As soon as is possible, the appropriate legislation will be implemented to bring the People's State into full compliance with the accords.

We look forward to working with fellow signatories in combating the slaver plague and anticipate your favorable reply.

Sincerely,

To: Coalition to Abolish Slavery, Trafficking and Linked Enterprises (CASTLE)
From: Fredrik Torsvik, Minister of the Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Breheim

Subject: Ratification of the CASTLE Accords

With a 316 to 4 majority, the National Assembly of the Republic of Breheim have agreed to ratify the CASTLE Accords. Our nation, while small, have long held an adamant opposition to involuntary subjugation, slavery, trade of human beings and human trafficking in all its deviant forms. While the means our Republic are able to contribute to the global fight against slavery and serfdom are limited, our limited means are best dedicated to aid the end of the global attack on humanity, honour and freedom that is the international slave trade.

Signed,
Fredrik Torsvik

We approve of and endorse the following applications for membership:

  • The Republic of Breheim.
  • The Sovereign Military and Monastic Order of Kells.
  • German Democratic People's State,
  • The Sovereign Military Hospitaller and Artistic Flotilla of the Picasso
  • The Estados Unidos Socialistas of Post War America
  • The Holy Grand Republic of Free Missouri

We also understand that the Royal Union of Kouralia is considering application to these accords and we pre-emptively endorse any application from this nation.

We also fully endorse the sovereignty of the Picasso and have communicated our recognition. In point of fact we recognize any government which upholds natural law as a just state regardless of its size and scale. Naturally applying for membership in these accords more than proves such intent.

To all Signatories of 'CASTLE',

Despite accusations of such, Kouralia has never been a lover of slaver states, and so it is a joy to my heart that I can finally find an accord to which it is acceptable to sign. For this reason, on behalf of the oyal Union of Kouralia I seek entrance into CASTLE.
