Each of the teams will be dropped of at their DZ via a Sea Knight helicopter. The helicopter will then depart immediately once everyone is on the ground.
The Sea Knight does not and will not provide air support. You are on your own once you land. However, if more than half of your squad is out of action, either wounded or killed, you can call a med evac that will take you away from the battlefield, however you will forfeit the match if you do

The twin rotors of the Sea Knight 'whumped' as they sliced through the cold night air, the silent foreign crewmen manning the guns glancing over as the Alendyr operators looked over the site with their optical equipment.

"Target acquisition, confirm, sector A three-five." came the smooth voice of the squad marksman, the newly adopted Operator Morlenfei, a recruit from the Rangers who was especially able, both with his aiming and with his expertise concerning weapons as a whole. He was leaning against the side of the Sea Knight's bay as he looked over the site with his binoculars, looking for any enemy activity that might be missed once they were on the ground. He didn't see any vehicles, which was a relief.

"Roger that, noted." replied Operations Commander Limerin, his gravelly tone muffled slightly by the sound of the helicopter rotors as the chopper began to slow down. Toting his AR8 Carbine, his eyes flitted over the soon-to-be battleground and he sighed. After the Asakuran incident, during which Alendyr, alongside other DES Direct Action infiltration groups, had dismantled illegal weapons export operations in a short, bloody campaign, his appetite for conflict had disappeared quite quickly. That said, they were DES operators; his appetite for conflict, peacekeeping, for covert operations, nuclear sabotage, assassination or any of the other missions they performed on a routine basis were not the foundation of his, or his squad's, decisions. For them, the little yellow mission orders sheet was their call to action; from receiving the sheet to completing the operation, Alendyr and its sibling units would never question orders, and move to complete their operational duties until death or incapacitation.

They were the nameless few, the soldiers of the shadows. Between them, the members of Alendyr had decades of experience, and between them, they reaped the rewards of the silent service. They never marched in parades, never donned their ceremonial regalia. Whilst the average soldier drilled and marched, they would be kicking open doors with pistols in hand in some foreign country, watching a head of state through a 12x magnification scope, silently stalking an unwitting victim through the streets of a quiet city. They did what they did, not for glory nor for fame, but for the simple satisfaction from service to the state.

As the helicopter touched down, kicking up snow, Limerin carefully looked around then, beckoning towards his squad, stepped out onto the snow, feeling the familiar cold of the mountain environment as he entered the battle, like he had countless times on countless operations.

Nothing ever changed, though. Before him was the enemy, behind him was his team. If anything, this was one thing he knew how to do well.

The captain sat still in a seat in the Sea Knight helicopter that was their transport. He looked at a mission briefing paper and before they reached their target destination he set it down and looked up. "Alright Boys." He said and the 7 other men stopped what they were doing and listened. "Our mission is to get in that town and confirm the existence of an armament cache. The Rules of Engagement are as follows; you are to shoot on my command, do not target non-combatants, and you aare to avoid collateral damage.

As they landed they immediatley went to the side of the road waiting for the captains command. "Hines, I want you and your spotter to cover us as we advance through the city. The best position for you is if you head to the west and get on that ridge." The captain looked over to the rest of the men. " We will head down this road until we reach the outskirts of the city. Clear?" asked the captain. The rest answered in unison "Clear, sir."
"Alright let's move out"

"ROE dictates open fire. Judge things as we did down in the Kura, and things will be just like they were then." Limerin had said in the chopper as they descended from the sky.

"Bloody and traumatic." muttered Crymastis, with a bitter laugh, and Limerin smiled.

"Yeah. Like that." And so their operation had begun, as countless others had.

Sprinting.

Reaching a ditch on the side of the road, Terlavei threw himself down, deploying his automatic rifle as the rest of his squad moved along both sides of it, their rifles raised. Enemy activity on the outskirts had looked active from the air, and they silently kept their eyes open as they moved along. Crymastis had disappeared into the forests to the left of their insertion area, and the periodical update came through the radio channels as he navigated his way down the rocky cliff-face, obscured by the tall trees, to the left of the road along which the rest of his squad was moving. Snow was gently falling as they made their way along the cracked asphalt, their weapons raised, their faces obscured by balaclavas as they moved out through familiar banks of snow. Reaching a turn in the road, their quietly knelt, and Limerin quickly looked over the area, recalling the first bend in the road. In front of them were a handful of buildings, and he glanced down; Crymastis had taken up his position at the top of one snowed-out cliff, his rifle looking over the village. Gesturing toward the two buildings to either side of the road leading into the village, Limerin quietly watched as his squad members nodded. His gloves wrapped around the grip of his AR8, and he eventually returned the nod, tapping the Direct Action insignia on his left shoulder.

Their mutual bond reaffirmed, their mission in their minds, the DES troops quickly sprinted down the slope down which the road led, and they quickly moved toward the two buildings. Limerin quickly kicked down the door of one, and Orlanfei quickly did likewise to the other door. The village beyond was still silent, and the operators quickly spread out inside the first floor of their respective structures, taking up positions beside windows as Crymastis quietly spotted enemy positions. To the left of one of the buildings, where a clear arc of fire spread out over the village, Morlenfei raised his marksman's rifle and buried himself in the snow, caking it over his clothing and helm; shivering under the cold, he knew nonetheless that there was no camouflage like the real thing.
