JULIUS NERO - L - INCUMBENT
Nero, formerly Emperor Julius XII, 38, is regarded by many as the "savior of Urcea". Many years before the recent "Great War", Nero was the head of another faction - the Royalists. After fascists toppled the Empire in 2009, the Royalists fought a long, bloody war to reestablish control over the nation, which was eventually won, mainly due to Nero's heroics. Emperor Julius XII then enacted several reforms, in an attempt to slowly liberalize the nation. Frustrated with the slow pace of liberalization and angry at the staunch traditionalists in the Electorate, Julius XII abdicated and dissolved the Empire. After abdicating the throne and allowing Congress to form a Provisional Republic, Nero once again took the reigns, but this time at the will of the people. After the Supreme Commander of the military was captured, Nero himself traveled to the frontlines, where he personally lead the defense at the Great Siege of Urceopolis. Nero, appointed by Congress as Acting President and held-over after the ratification of the new Constitution, is the incumbent. In addition to his military record, Nero broke the deadlock at the peace conference by proposing a peace treaty suitable for all; this treaty eventually went into effect. He has declared himself a member of the Libertarian Party; he overwhelmingly won the nomination due to his support of Provincial Rights, as well as the fact he's a national hero and the man most people trust to rebuild the nation. In addition, many support him for his strong foreign policy.
MICHAEL COLOMBO - C*
Colombo, 59, is a veteran of Urcean politics, especially since the institution of the Electorate in 2025. During the first war, he was one of many provincial representatives who broke off from the Chancellorate and aligned with Emperor Julius XII. More notably, he served as Chancellor of Urcea from 2025 until 2031, when the Julian Party, part of a coalition with the Conservative Party, replaced him with Brian Julius. Colombo advocates strong personal rights, but also wants a return to traditional moral values within the Republic.
NATHANIEL MAZZI - M
Nathaniel Mazzi, 74, is the most senior of any of the candidates, being the younger brother of the late dictator, Roberto Mazzi. At the outbreak of the first Civil War, Mazzi was given a commission in the Army of the Chancellorate as a Colonel. For most of the war, he maintained a relatively safe outpost on the outskirts of the province of Urcea Major. When the Royalist Army made a massive push towards Urceopolis, Mazzi was captured and defected to the Royalists. Since then, he's been a Colonel in the various Urcean armies, most recently in the Great War. Politically, Mazzi is an ardent fascist, but is also a pacifist.
BRIAN JULIUS - SR
Brian Julius, 64, formerly a member of the pro-Monarchist Julian Party, is one of the key figures leading up to the Great War. Despite being a Julian, (then) Lord Chancellor Julius pushed forward an inheritance tax through the Electorate, which enraged the various Lords and severely weakened the feudal system. When Emperor Julius XII disbanded the Empire, Brian Julius renounced his titles of nobility and defected to the Provisional Republic. He was soon called upon to serve again; this time, however, as Congressman from the province of Urcea Major. After the first Congress was disbanded, Julius was held on, and officially changed his party designation to "Social Republican".

Due to the relative unimportance of the Presidency, the Contist Party did not nominate anyone.
The Federal Republic of Urcea has 2100 electors; in order to become President, a candidate must win around 1070.
