The Foreign Legion of New Azura
Honour Bound to Defend Freedom.
Introduction
Established in 1952 in a direct response to the growing threat from external forces, Chancellor John Tripucka (1902-1989) signed into law the Johnston-Swannanoa Legion Constitution Act. The bill, supported fully by the Azuran Military, authorized the creation of the the Honourable Confederation of New Azura's first and only Foreign Legion. Today, the Azuran Foreign Legion serves as an independent branch of the Honourable Military of New Azura, being comprised of volunteer servants from other countries, and from independent volunteers who travel from across the world to serve in New Azura. The Azuran Foreign Legion is a prime destination for some of the world's most professional soldiers.
The "Hellfire Legion", one of several specialist divisions in the Foreign Legion.
The Foreign Legion of New Azura acts as a primary response organization; fully military, and fully mobilized for constant deployment. The Legionnaires serve alongside other first response forces of the Azuran Military, including the Azuran Marine Corps and the Poinsettia Sentinels (Shock Troops). The Legionnaires are often among the first into battle, helping secure vital interests while serving as a bridge between different cultures.
Why Join the Azuran Foreign Legion?
The Legionnaires who have served before you can attest to the power and prestige of serving in one of New Azura's most respected institutions. Volunteers in the Azuran Foreign Legion bring both honor, prestige, and practical combat training back to their home countries upon the completion of their service. Volunteers in the Azuran Foreign Legion receive honorary citizenship within the Honourable Confederation of New Azura, qualifying for lucrative pensions and benefits for both family and friends. The Foreign Legion pays lucrative salaries to its volunteers, and also pays their home nations for their services as well! More than anything, however, serving in the Azuran Foreign Legion gives volunteers something more: a sense of accomplishment. We train our Legionnaires to be the very best that they can be; that dedication and commitment to excellence will be with them for the rest of their lives.
Individual Perks:
