Despite last post "WE'RE GONNA HOSPITAL NAO", you've actually got about 3-5 posts before we're going to be approaching it. Get with me to coordinate the thread crossovers.

I'd like to have it look kinda like:

OOC: The events in this post are mirrored in the thread Sword of Eden: Cloak and Dagger. For an increased appreciation of the story, we recommend reading that thread and point of view.

IC: POST POST POST POST

The crossover posts could be double-posted, both of us in each thread, or we could tell complete stories that are not cross-posted, but simply plot entwine.

EDIT: Obviously, your end would like 20 Minutes, not C&D. K-stan, preventing Derp since... today.

EDIT 2: Perhaps direct link to the POSTS that crossover, too? BBL, fixing someone's compy.

Producing a dramatis personæ listing for all of SoE. If you've had people involved, and would like to be on the list (you do, trust me), please submit them to me via TG.

Formatted like this:

NATION NAME

Quick description of role in SoE.

GROUP INVOLVED IN SoE, what they're doing, what threads they're in
-IMPORTANT PERSON, titles, organization, role in overall RP, threads appearing in, alive/dead, plus if they are related to another person other than simple command/subordinate
--PERSON UNDER THAT IMPORTANT PERSON, same detail as above
--ANOTHER PERSON, same details
----PERSON UNDER THIS PERSON, same details
--ANOTHER PERSON, same details

OTHER GROUP INVOLVED IN SoE
...et cetera

Please note if the group/person is acting for your nation, or for third party. If a person is an independent actor, simply don't list a GROUP INVOLVED. If someone gets greased in the same post they appear in, and/or have no impact on the over-story, don't bother listing what threads they appear in.

Okie-dokie, that took FAR FUCKING LONGER than I had any idea it would. Here's the draft of what Trans's section looks like. Gonna do some others tomorrow.

You guys think that's too dense? Maybe just list the IMPORTANT people? I dunno, I'm torn between speed read and COMPREHENSIVE, BIATCH! modes.

Oh, and btw, WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PEOPLE NAMED ERIC?

Blue text is draft. {NAME} = dead.

A powerful, militaristic nation, Transnapastain is one of the primary sovereign states in the Directorate supranational alliance. Dominated by a powerful church, threaded with a complex series of interweaving, equivalent social structures, the nation's internal politics are often seen by outsiders as pure chaos, or worse, a farce, but there are few things as terrifying as when all components of this arcane system align for purpose. In Brazul, this is one such event, with crusade rhetoric and holy duty melding with the state desires for commerce and stability, leading to a cooperative campaign between the secular military and the sacred Protectorate. Publicly declared to be committed to liberating the Cintano province from the iron grip of the dictatorial President-General Porras, many wonder if the valuable He3 deposits in Cintano might be a more direct reason for invasion, and still others whisper of shadows and rivalries inside the sacred halls of cathedrals and agencies. For those on the sands and jungles, however, there is little time for contemplation, as the burning Sword of Eden is turned upon the land.

Okay, here's where it stands right now. I still need the characters from other players besides Trans, Nailiak, Brazul, and myself.

Belligerent Nations

Brazul

Emerging from a long and bloody secessionist conflict, the beautiful but poor nation of Brazul was united by the leadership of Augusto Remon and his half-brother/adviser, Estevan Alfaro. President Remon attempted to guide his nation into the modern world with a series of massive infrastructure projects, culminating in a contract with the international conglomerate Astarte Industries to construct a commercial launch facility in Brazul. However, when excavations for the launch site revealed a massive supply of He3, Brazul was torn apart by forces internal and external. After the first rocket launch ended in a disastrous terrorist attack, Generalissimo Porras and his State Security (StaSec) forces used racial tensions in the Cintano province to force a coup, deposing Remon and instating a brutal military dictatorship. However, to fund their operations, they cut Astarte Industries and it's foreign backers out of the He3 supply, directly antagonizing powerful nations. The response was as predictable as it was thorough, and Brazul now lies a country in ruins, split between the “liberated” Cintano province and Porras's mainland. The Brazulians are a proud people, however, and will not take this seizure lightly, fighting despite overwhelming odds and brutal losses, fighting over less and less, as their island nation is reduced to ashes, a wasted paradise decimated by the Sword of Eden.

  • {AUGUSTO REMON}, Former President of Brazul, killed in Generalissimo PORRAS's coup – 1, 3
    • ESTEVAN ALFARO, Chief of Staff for, and half-brother to, {AUGUSTO REMON}, arrested during coup, freed by FULLER, taken to unknown location – 1, 3
  • DIEGO GUITEREZ, Journalist, Presumed dead in Catalina Tunnel – 7
  • FERNANDO PORRAS, former Generalissimo, current President-General of Brazul, seized power in bloody coup, nationalized industry, and launched offensive against Cintano rebels – 1, 3

    Other Nations, Great and Small

    Kaukolastan

An economic juggernaut, Kaukolastan is one of the primary member-states of the Directorate supranational alliance. Maintaining a carefully cultivated image as a benevolent non-interventionist state, its rapacious economy and technological superiority are maintained through a series of weighted trade agreements, often extracted under pressure. When Brazul cut a deal to extract Helium Three with a Kaukolastani firm, they gained the resources of the first world. When Brazul reneged on that deal and seized Kaukolastani property, those resources vanished, and justification for invasion emerged. When another Directorate nation, Transnapastain, launched a war of liberation, Kaukolastani corporations were ready to commence He3 extraction operations within days.

    Nailiak

The wild landscapes of Nailiak stand in stark contrast to the other nations in the Directorate. Throughout its history, Nailiak has always been respectful towards its natural resources, but in modern times, the will of the eccentric Chancellor Kailian has been law, and he has demanded the utmost respect for the pristine wilderness of his nation. Nevertheless, Kailian wishes progress, and will throw his nation's considerable power towards that goal, and against any who dare oppose him.

    YOUR NATION HERE

    Other Actors

    Astarte Industries

A multinational aerospace corporation, Astarte Industries was contracted by Brazul to construct nation's fledgling commercial space program. Astarte chose a launch site, and discovered an immense terrestrial deposit of He3. Perhaps it was fortune, or perhaps it was luck, but this discovery would change the fates of many, setting in motion the Sword of Eden.

    • ROBERT FULLER, accountant overseeing the initial excavation and sale of He3, revealed to be false identity during liberation ESTEVAN ALFARO from State Security prison. Current location unknown. - 1, 3

    The Directorate Executive Council

Rarely taking direct action, the Executive Council is the steering committee for the Directorate supranational alliance. When the BCS module was stolen from the He3 Plant before it could be relocated out of Brazul, the Council dispatched its agents to ensure the recovery of vital alliance interests. These assets both assist and hinder Transnapastaini operations in theater, due to differing objectives, but surely bring little good to the island nation of Brazul.

    • TOBIAS FALLON, acting Agent Imperator for the purposes of recovering BCS module, Field Commander (SIS) – 10

Yes.

Trans was on vacation, and I'm just coming out of a crunch period at work (probably through end of month - but slightly less hectic than it's been). I won't go into grisly details, but it involves lots of pencils.

As K-Stan said.

Though, Bray's, I'm still a little confused as to what you'd like me to do in Holiday. I'd love to post, but I need a little direction.

It's not my RP. Do what you wish. I'll work around it, that's half the fun. I do, however, have a suggestion.

At the moment, some contact from the Brazul resistance or military forces would be very helpful. A cell phone call, for instance. Hell, Saustin will have the number. Perhaps the reason he was late was because he was dropping off the wounded pilot at the hospital?

That'll work well if you still want to pursue the story we talked about via telegram. If that's changed, then maybe a chase through the city as the guys in the van are pursued by the invading ground troops?

Ground troops aren't in San Christoph, yet. The land war is, thus far, confined to the southern province. I'll get you a post however, tonight or tomorrow, for sure! My bad for being slow.

Brays,

For my last post in "Holiday", let me know if I need to change anything in the conversation with whoever was on the other end of the Sat phone to match any ideas you had, or express anything that you feel needed expressing, I was just sort of winging it. :P

I've adapted, using it to explain why a usually front-line character wasn't in play in this particular operation. :)

It's all good

Bray's

Alright, at this point, I'm not sure I have work for the Bastards. Act 1 is still in progress....ever so slowing making its way to the conclusion, and thats going to mainly focus on the fighting in Cintano. I have two thoughts, however

1) We would offer to keep you on retainer, obviously, and use you as cadre for the military.
2) There will soon (ICly) be fighting in the Azul Mountains to the south, as Transnapastaini forces try and push their way through. Does fighting down there strike you as plausible? Interesting?

The mercenary aspect doesn't really come into full effect until Acts 2/3, and that "special" job I'll need you for is the climax of Act 3, so, unfortunately, there's some downtime. If you're interested in continuing to write, thus giving you something to do here, you can be deployed to the mountains to help hold off the offensive. OOCly, I'm not sure when thats going to star.t....K-Stan!

All sound plausible. The mercs currently being portrayed are the command staff, coordinating an arms deal that didn't happen. With Emilio on the contact list I can throw guys into whatever thread or conflict you deem vital.

Honestly, it'll give me something to do.

Alright, got that post up.

We are running electronic surveillance aircraft in conjunction with gunships over most of the nation (mostly in Cintano at this time, though we have them over the capital as much as possible). Was thinking of doing a post from my POV intercepting the signal from the SatPhone....not being able to read it, mind you, I'd talk about how it was an utterly strong, first-class military encryption, but that something was communicating on the "C" band...which would be rather peculiar in Brazul :P

Unfortunately, I have this sneaking suspicion doing so would read a little like "Wank wank wank wank wank." :P

Intercepting a coded transmission isn't wanking, but being able to decrypt it in a timely manner might be. Running it past a known cypher might yield a broken message, catching snippets of sentences and such would be fine.

It'll satisfy the requirements of both parties; mine for secrecy and professionalism, yours for actually catching bits and pieces off the bat. The messages can be cracked at a later date once you've had a chance to run it past cryptologists and counter-intel guys. One step behind, and yet still on the trail.
