The world had changed much. New powers were rising at a rapid rate and many of the great powers had faded into obscurity. Yet, the Scandinvan Empire, in all its majesty and might, had not faded but instead had building itself up in the many long years since it had waged a war on foreign soil. In those long years the Imperial Military had refined itself further, refined its army to be one of the modern in the world, researched new technologies, expanded all its branches, developed a more stringent hierarchy then it had since the the 1800's, became a master of maintaining morale, created new legions designed to suppress all forms of resistance, had developed a more subtle style of warfare, and became masters of all types of warfare due to the sheer scale of their Glorious Empire's dominions.
To say though the Empire would rely purely on professionalism, strategy, and discipline would be a truly foolish thing to say though. The Empire was ready and willing to use brutal bombing campaigns to destroy urban centers, to engage their enemy in fully populated urban areas, to unleash the Death Legions upon the enemy's population, and do anything else necessary to ensure that their foe was totally beaten into submission.
Thus would the Scandinvan Military wage a war mixing both modern warfare and tactics far more befitting the types of war practiced in the Dark Ages.
Valdra Port, Scandinvan Heartland
Five hundred legions, five million soldiers and associated equipment, of the Imperial Army were being mustered for the war against Sorgan and were slowly being boarded onto their respective transport ships. While, the heavy equipment was being loaded onto heavly armored transport.
All the while nearly ten thousand other ships of all types where being prepared for the mission to Sorgan.
Valdra, Parliamentry Capital of the Scandinvan Empire;
As the troops were marching to a far away land, the citizens of the Empire, engorged in a blind orgy of Patriotism, danced in the streets of Valdra and were burning Sorgan's flag and cursing them as filth.
A scene which was hailed as an example that all true Scandinvans should follow, which many did.
Somewhere Over a Ocean,
Hundreds of high altitude bombers were flying towards Sorgan to deliver their load of high explosives over key targets; namely military bases, the key buildings of the government, factories, and important civilian targets.
While, below them one thousand long-range fighters were there to prevent any enemy fighter attack.
At Sea,
One of the roving armadas of the Empire were now ordered to be redirect towards the shores of Sorgan, where it end meeting two other armadas which were assigned to transport the main force of troops.
In its own right though it was truly a dread sight for any foe to behold. Its sheer size would intimidate nearly all smaller nations as it composed of 3 super-dreadnoughts, 8 dreadnoughts, 14 battleships, 8 large carriers (126+ planes), 9 medium carriers (100+ planes), 14 small carriers (60+ planes), 40 battle cruisers, 22 heavy cruisers, 17 air-defense cruisers, 20 medium cruisers, 18 missile cruisers, 26 light air-defense cruisers, 42 light cruisers, 25 missile destroyers, 63 destroyers, 18 air-defense destroyers, 11 submarine-hunter destroyers, 34 escort destroyers, 90 escort frigates, 48 air-defense frigates, 20 anti-submarine frigates, 33 frigates, 15 minesweepers, 6 mine layers, and hundreds of other support ships.
