Competition(CLosed, MT) Attn: GWO

Postby Arivada » Thu Jul 22, 2010 5:11 pm

OAG John Marsh was on the opposite side of the control zone. Today was a competition between the Grand Federal Blue Berets. They were both very good special forces. The Ten Man teams were sent into a factory and would engage each other in the factory. Marsh looked out of his binoculars. He saw the factory. He didn't see any armed guards. He grabbed his GD-47(with SESMAS rounds) then he whistled.
"Alright team we have to destroy the factory." Marsh said. He took out his map. He started going over what the plan was. "Our inseration point is this back door, from their we will try to head up to the second story and place the bomb in the middle. I do believe that the Grand Federals are trying to do the same." He said. He took out his red pen and circled the infiltration point.
"But sir? What kind of resistance are we expecting?" The light machine gunner asked.
"The same amount of soliders as us" Marsh answered. He saw the look on his troops faces. He saw cockyness in one of his men but the rest just thought it would be a challenge but they would be victorious. Yet Marsh had differing feelings. He felt that they have a large chance of losing. With the reputation of the Grand Federal army, he felt this would be an unfair match.
"Don't get cocky anyone. These guys eat, sleep and breathe warfare. We should not take this challenge lightly." Marsh said. Marsh turned around. He looked at the outside of the battle zone. Most of it was forest so perfect for placing ambushes. He decided that he may place claymores and C-4 in various places around the forest so if he could lure the Grand Federals into the forest they would be tore to shreds. Though that was only if they took the bait. For all he knew they could just set up machine gun positions on the roof and look for Marsh. Yet he may just set up a defensive position on the roof himself to take on the Grand Federals. Either way, it would be a long day.

Just before the match Marsh put on his boots, his fisherman style hat and armor. The armor was a kevelar vest with plates all in the armor. Normally OAGs would wear only plates in the uppper half of the armor but he decided to put it full in the armor. Despite one round to the chest would represent a kill he felt if a terriorist or something came he could be comforted he would be protected. The rest of the team was just about done arming up. It was about 1:00 PM, the sun was high in the air, giving little advantage to either side on stealth. Yet he had plenty of smoke and stingball grenades to create diversions and thermal/NVG combo of goggles.
"Alright men, let's move out!" He yelled. All his men followed suit. They started heading for the building, prepared for whatever lay ahead.
(OOC: If there are any things about my rping I could change TG me.)

Third Lieutenant Derrick O'Dwyer crouched before the huddle his Marines had formed. They each had their weapons stock-down against the ground, gloved hands wrapped firmly around the front end of their rifles, which were loaded with SESAMS rounds. They were donning forest camouflage very similar to MARPAT, and each of them either had balaclavas on or had painted their faces.

"Alright laddies, let's get to it then," Lieutenant O'Dwyer said in his heavy Irish accent before rolling open a map on the ground. "Our goal is to plant a bomb right here in this factory, here," he said, pointing to the factory's location on the map. "Alrighty then, I want Blue Team to split up and provide perimeter support via marksman and machine gun cover from the forestry around here. Red Team, you're with me. We'll move in once Blue is set up, then move in to plant the bombs. We're going to be going against the Arivadans, so these aren't the typical Reds you're used to. We've rehearsed our CQB a million times, no need to review now. ALRIGHT THEN, LADS!" he finished.

The four men of Blue Team split into two spotter-sniper teams, moving to the left and right sides of the combat zone. Each team had one MI-8A2 rifle with an 8mm Mauser Sniper Rifle kit, while the other man had a 6.5mm Grendel Assault Rifle MI-8A2. They went prone before crawling forward "up" the area.

The Red Team was a mix of 5.7mm MI-8A2 compacts and 6.5mm rifles, as well as an FSIAAS assault shotgun. They spread out and went prone before slowly heading towards the factory.

Marsh and the ten man team stopped about halfway through the forestry and the building( OOC: We are halfway through the forestry near the factory). His instincts told him that there may be snipers around somewhere. He looked around the surroundings. He and his team had digital forest camoflauge on so setting up a sniper team would be no problem. He saw a small hill. He thought a sniper team would be perfect their.
"Georgi, Mike, Rob... set up a sniper position over there to cover our sixes." Marsh said. He stopped. The entire team stopped as well. He took out his binoculars. In the background, the three men he set out to be snipers went. As he looked through his binoculars, he saw something move. He couldn't say what it was. It could have been anything from an enemy soldier to a deer. Yet what he did confirm is that they were going to a hot zone. He looked at the other six guys headed for the building. There were 4 men armed with assault rifles,2 with shotguns and 1 Sub Machinegun. He himself had a GD-47 assault rifle with a Bennelli M4 Super 90 shotgun for a secondary. With a serious look on his face, he gave the order to continue.

While they were still walking(OOC: They didn't get far.) Marsh noticed something. He looked around. The entire team stopped. They all began to look around. Then he heard something in the Bush. He pointed his weapon out at the bush. Then a rabit came out.
"Wow can't believe you almost shot that Commander." One of his soldiers said.
"Sir maybe we should just keep going. The longer the stay around, the longer they have to prepare." Another soldier said.
"Agreed, let's head out." Marsh said. He flicked the switch on his radio. "Georgi, you guys set up?" Marsh asked.
"Copy that commander, we are set." Georgi said.
"Alright radio silence from here on out." Marsh said. He flicked off his radio and kept walking.

The Blue sniper teams moved further "up" the field than the Red assault team, still drawling along the ground.

"Blue Three out, I'm hearing voices, some movement, unknown source, possible combatants," stated one of the spotters in a low, inaudible tone- at least, to anyone more than six inches from his mouth. His headset retransmitted it to his team's headsets, clearly and loud enough for them to hear. "Contact contact, uncompromised thus far, looking for positive identification," he continued. He lightly tapped the marksman next to him to gather his full attention before pointing (without extending his arm) to the general area he saw the movement. The marksman brought his MI-8A2 around slowly before peering through the scope. His scope had Nightvision and thermal capabilities, as did his OED-Lite; at the moment, he had neither on just yet. "Blue Four out, positive identification on subjects. Enemy infantry sighted, I am prepared to take the shot," the sniper said in a similar voice. The invisible laser on his rifle gave him the distance, plus the GPS location of where he was aiming, which was displayed on his OED-Lite.

O'Dwyer's voice came onto the channel. "Take the shot, keep in mind you'll be shooting over our heads. If they charge you, we'll be compromised."

Blue Four carefully aimed his MI-8A2, loaded up on 8mm paint rounds, and compensated for wind and weight. He took long, controlled breaths, almost entering a zen meditation status. He painted the crosshair over what he thought was the target's torso, breathed in, then pulled the trigger. After this, he and his colleague stayed still, waiting for any responses, and to see if the paint round struck an actual person and not something else.

Marsh was still moving slowly. He heard a voice. Could have been anyone. Then a bullet hit one of his soldiers in the stomach. The solider was one of the ones with an MP5 so his lose had limited importance. He looked in the direction of the shot.
"Scatter, take cover!" Marsh yelled. Everyone took cover behind a tree. He saw the "dead man". He did a fake on the ground dead look. Marsh didn't dare peak out to see if he could see the sniper. Instead he contacted his sniper team. "Sniper team, do you have a shot." Marsh said in a panic. He threw a smoke grenade right in front of them.
"Yeah, I have the shot." Mike said.

Mike and the sniper team were looking dead at the snipers. They saw the shot made so they assumed it was a combatant.
"Mike, take the shot if you have it." Marsh said. Mike gave a hand signal to do a mass volley on the enemy. Both of the snipers would take a shot at the Grand Federals. Mike gave the go signal. The paintballs left the weapons and went to their targets.

When the smoke reached it's full effect Marsh put on his thermal goggles. His team did the same, he started walking through the smoke and when he reached the edge of the smoke screen he threw one more. The smoke took effect. He gave the hand signal to scatter again, hoping the snipers were took out.
