We have made contact with the grassland Na'vi. Military personnel have spotted a single male Na'vi riding a Direhorse at the outskirts of the colony, but he has not attacked or raided the colony or any of it's bio-dome farms as of yet. We think they're being cautious, observing, seeing if we're hostile or not. When he left, we managed to track the scout to a Na'vi village 11.3 kilometers away from New Port Royal. We have decided not to contact or attack the village for now, but we will watch for any other mounted Na'vi.

Other than that, we have begun observing the wildlife in our local area. Many of the animals we have spotted are Direhorse herds, we have also spotted packs of Viperwolves in the area, along with numerous species of small animals.

There was a single Viperwolf that attempted to attack a just constructed bio-dome. We have one injured, but the injures are minor. The 'wolf in question was also injured, we have examined the surrounding area and have found a nest with baby viperwolves. We think the mother was attacking because we were getting too close to her nest. We have moved the young and the mother to the said bio-dome and have pumped Pandora's atmosphere in the dome and we begun non-invasive studying on them. We request information on how to care for a family of Viperwolves. Trained personnel will be appreciated.

Concerning the dedicated spaceport have promised, it is nearly operational. Once completed, it will be able to handle ships the size of heavy cargo shuttles and once we expand on it, small transport vessels will be able to land.

OOC: Don't take this the wrong way guys, but I really think that the roleplaying for this thread needs some serious improvement. Many of the nations here have already set up shop on Pandora without even bothering to play out the initial contact with the Na'vi. Would they really let you all just waltz onto their world and colonize their land and extract their resources without any resistance? How did you gain their cooperation? Through negotiation and diplomacy or by threat of violence and destruction? Why weren't these initial encounters played out in depth? And how is it possible for you to have missed Swiftistan's blatant massacre of Na'vi villages?

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but if you guys are trying to tell a story, it needs to be more than just one-liners and bad grammar.

Since we're 100 ft tall, significantly fewer of us will fit in a particular area than if it were colonized by humans. That said, we would like about 10,000 sq. km of any area with a good amount of iron deposits and unobtanium underneath it. (OOC: However many colonists you think is good will do.)

There will be no need to change the trees in our area. As Cybertronians, we are used to a low-oxygen environment.

We do not make a distinction between "troops" and "civilians." All of us are armed with standard Decepticon Energy Blasters, and are well able to take care of ourselves. We understand that laborers are already present, and assume that they will be quite eager to work for us with the proper 'persuasion.'

The local Na'vi looked up in horror when they heard the sound of powerful aircraft engines. From nearby tribes, reports of hostile aliens had been pouring in - and now, it seemed that their area was about to be affected.

Soon, a huge squadron of aircraft came into view. Many appeared to be military aircraft, with obvious armaments. Among them were a few much-bigger craft. All bore red-eyed seals that appeared to have an evil grin and pointy ears.

Suddenly, the smaller craft transformed into massive robots and landed with loud, intimidating clangs. Another, however, made ominous smushing sounds as he landed.

Most of the Na'vi stared open-mouthed at the scene, but suddenly the air was split by a shrill cry of horror. One Na'vi was soon seen pointing at a spot below one of the robot's feet: The spot where he had intentionally landed directly on one of the blue creatures. The dead body's face could clearly be seen, frozen in a shocked expression.

The robot picked up his foot, and proceeded to scrape off the Na'vi guts as if he'd stepped in a turd.

The others aggressively came forward. The Na'vi ran for their huts, terrified that they were about to get genocided like another tribe did just a few days before. But massive death wasn't what the robots wanted. The one violent killing was just a demonstration of the robots' overwhelming power over the puny blue humanoids.

Behind the advancing line, a team of robots hurriedly cleared landing strips as the big flying bots circled. The ones still in the air were cargo-bots: too heavy to land on foot on soft terrain, they would need cleared strips in order to touch down. Soon, the work was done, and the cargo-bots rolled to a halt in shuttle mode. The doors opened, revealing hundreds of pick-axes, shovels, and other such equipment, sized to be used by Na'vi laborers. Other robots held bigger equipment - equipment that would be used to build a massive foundry, a Medical Testing Facility, and a Cloning Center. Energon, parts, and various other Decepticon equipment was also brought in.

As the natives cowered in their huts, the advance line pulled out sensing devices designed to find underground mineral deposits. Soon, they had zeroed in on a massive deposit of iron ore, which covered half of the area under the village and stretched far out into the jungle area. Score.

The robots began to yank natives out of their huts. They assembled them all in the village's clearing.

Suddenly, a squarish, blue robot stepped up. He obviously had rank - the others stood back so he could pass by easily. His CPU-cooling fans could be heard as he engaged his translation engine.

"We are the Decepticons, and I am General Soundwave!" He announced.
"We are your new masters. You shall work for us and serve us. In exchange, you will earn the privilege to live."

He paused a while to let that sink in. Immediately, some of the faces looking back at him hardened in defiance.

"Does anyone have any objections to the fact that you are now our slaves?!" Soundwave challenged them.

10 Na'vi immediately stepped up a bit and began to tell the robots off. As they ranted on, they continued coming closer, as if there was some way a 10-foot-tall being could possibly intimidate a living machine that was 10x bigger than they were.

The blue robot waited until they were in full view of the rest of the crowd. He then coldly drew a blaster, aimed directly at the defiant group, and fired.

After the smoke cleared, there was nothing but a scorch mark on the ground where they had stood.

"Any other objections?" The robot asked, with a cruel smugness to his voice.

The group was totally silent. Some of their mouths hung open; others simply had the sad look of the already-defeated.

"Good." Soundwave said with finality.

He gave his orders next, in a military manner.

"You will be mining every last bit of resources from this land. There will be a quote for each and every one of you; those who fall behind will be subjected to punishment - those who continue to fall behind will be exterminated. Any protesters or rebels will also be exterminated.

Your work begins right now. Go to one of those big flying-machines. There, you will be given a pickaxe and a shovel. By the time night falls, you will have all of the surface dirt cleared from this area. You will not be allowed to rest until the ore has been exposed."

Like terrified children, the Na'vi obeyed the command. Each was given a shovel and a pickaxe, sent to a part of the targeted area, and began to work. Those who dawdled were prodded with red-hot pokers; an idea that came through the Cultural Liaison's Office. Apparently, a place called Augurundus (sp?) had used this method to great effect.

Sure enough, the 'motivation' was very effective, and each Na'vi worked at full speed. None dared to complain or even ask for water or food. They just had to hope their mechanical masters realized they needed such things before it was too late.

After 2 days of solid work with no rest or breaks, the gleam of surface ore could be seen throughout the work area. As the Decepticons had figured, it would be a perfect place for a strip mine.

"You may cease." Soundwave ordered. Immediately, the Na'vi dropped to the ground, exhausted; their tools clanged down around them. Robots began to appear with huge barrels of water and mush. Metal plates and cups were passed around. The Na'vi desperately drank every drop of water they were given, and then began to eat the bland mush.

Suddenly, a small robot appeared with a bucket full of syringes. Soundwave translated his orders:

"Every one of you will give a blood sample."

The researcher, from the Medical Testing Facility, began to take samples from everyone and label them. They were sorted according to two things: The amount of work each one had done, and the amount of "displays of dissatisfaction" that had been noticed.

This would be the start of the program to develop the Na'vi species into perfect slaves. Over time, the intention was to code out even the thought of dissent, code in loyalty, and increase the work capacity of the beings.

Eventually, the Decepticons would create a version so different that they could be considered a different species - a species different enough that it could be used at other Decepticon holdings. The original version, of course, would then be phased out as obsolete.

First, however, DNA samples had to be taken in order to correlate the observed traits with the Code that gave rise to them.


After the blood samples were taken, the exhausted Na'vi passed out right in the clearing they had been sitting in. They would be allowed to rest for 10 hours this time, but as they hardened to the labor, the off-time would be slowly reduced until they, like the Decepticons' human slaves, only got 4 hours off per day.

As they slept, the mineral-scouting team began to seek the unobtanium. Reported to be a room-temperature superconductor, this substance would be a particular boon to the Decepticon robots.
