Battle of Quorn

[Mecin]

[OOC: This battle is between Mecin and Kalkarzin against Chiid. Foriegners can comment]

Mecin's borders have recently been raided by Chiid Tribesman. Kalkarzin has also been attacked. Bothe nations are mobilizing to attack the Chiid city of Quorn. It is a major agricultural city and hopefully the attack will cripple Chiids economy. The Aegis Corporation is leading the attack from Mecins side.

Chiid does not expect the attack. The raids were thought to be of no importance to Mecin. Seeing that their corporations were too busy bickering anyway.

[Mecin]

Nathan Kunz of the Aegis Border Guard is tired of waiting for the Kalkarzin forces to show up. He orders his advance squad of 20 Infantry armed with AHE-1's and one Prototype ASG forward.

They spot a Chiid Farm Small holding. He looks at the GPS attached to his rifle and notices that he is at sector 2. He readies the Sentry guns, not expecting any attack.

[Chiid]

A Chiid farmer is busy sowing his crops outside his hovel. He stops for a second to wipe his brow and see's a small bit of reflected light. First thinking that he was just tired, he went back to work.

Again he looked up and he could see armed figures coming closer. This time he decided that he wasn't imagining things. First, he thought they may be Chiid Soldiers but they were wearing Advanced Gear. He decided it would be safer to worn the garrison of the impending attack from the unknown assiliant.

[Mecin]

Nathan spotted the retreating civilian and ordered one of the soldiers next to him to dispatch the civilian. The Soldier took aim and fired...

[Chiid]

The Round pierced the farmers leg. He fell to the ground rolling around with pain. The screaming then alerted another farmer who opened fire on the Aegis Soldiers.

[Mecin]

The unsuspecting Soldier was hit in the head. Another then fell dead, shot in the shoulder. Nathan ordered his soldiers to back down. He then loaded his grenade launcher and fired it at the farmer.

[Chiid]

The grenade hits the ground near the farmer and explodes. The farmer is dead but his wife managed to get out of shooting distance of the soldiers and is now heading to warn the city's garrison.

[Mecin]

"Crap," swore Nathan. He took out his radio communicator and said, "Civilian is heading towards city. Prepare for attack.

He ordered his men to set up the sentry gun in the farmhouse. Soldiers started to secure sectors 2, 9, 8, 1 and 3.

[Kalkarzin]

The Kalkarzin commander reaches the cliff face. He looks down to see the farm houses scattered around the field. His army is made up of:

Each squad is armed with the following.

500= Scar-H
400= ACR
40= M4
10= 50. Cal Snipers
50= AHC-1

His squads comprises of 1000 each per Infantry Unit. He is moving in to secure all sectors, starting with sector 6. Tanks and APCs are on route. 5 tanks and 5 APCs per squad.

He better not screw up the attack. The nation was already in debt with this rapid recruitment and military build up.

The women reached the city of Quorn and warned the soldiers there. The raiders are now preparing to defend their city. They are sending Guerilla Squads to slow down the Kalkarzin advance.

[Mecin]

The Mecin forces are glad to see the Kalkarzin forces. They are surprised that the Kalkarzin forces even brought APC's and Tanks due to this being a small raid but Nathan realises that Tanks will be needed when taking down the walls of the hill fortress.

The tanks and APC's moved slowly down the dirt road into position. The 100 soldiers in this Attack squad were nervous. They were only enlisted the week before and they had little, if any experience. A lot of their family was killed by Chiid Raiders though, so vengeance helped their moral.

One recruit noticed some movement in the dry grass and bushes. Not knowing what else to do, and lacking any discipline training, he fired.

[Chiid]

The Chiid Ambusher was hit in the leg. All hell broke loose and both sides started shooting eachother. The raider attack force was destroyed but a few Kalkarzin forces were also hit.

[Mecin]

The sentry guns were set up but a report from base reported them as unstable. Engineers have been dispatched. All sectors on the West Side have been secured and garrisoned by 200 Troops each.

We will wait for the Kalkarzin forces to get into position and start bombarding the city.

[Kalkarzin]

The Kalkarzin forces did not expect the attack and lost 10 soldiers. They reached the designated postions and prepared the tanks to lay down a siege on the city. The cammander sent 100 Units armed with ACR's to Mecins main locations.

[Chiid]

The Chiid Chieftan has realised that he cannot win without help and he has sent out a distress call to look for foreign aid.

[OOC: One PMT Foreign Nation can join in]

[Mecin]

Nathan Radio started beeping. He lifted it up to answer. "The Chiid forces have sent out a call for Foreign Aid," said the intelligence officer on the other end. He answered, "Understood" he put the radio back on his belt and ordered the soldiers to advance.

The engineers had arrived and brough one T-90 tank. It started firing at the cities defences.

[Kalkarzin]

Then all the tanks finish destroying the wall and the troops started moving in.

[Chiid]

The cities walls were destroyed and the civilians (now armed) and the Soldiers got into position to guard their homes.

[Mecin]

The hill was too rocky for the tank and sentry guns to be brought with. The infantry charged into the burnt city shooting civilians and raiders.

The Mecin and Kalkarzin forces were slaughtering the populace but were also taking heavy casualties. Altogether Mecin lost 250 Troops and one sentry.

[Kalkarzin]

After the troops attacked, there was 439 casualties mostly due to the lack of training

[Chiid]

Defeated, the civilians and remaining raiders surrendered. They woult hopefully be ransomed back to Chiid or given an honourable death.

The War Chief of the city was gaurded by 2 Mecin soldiers while the cammanders could question him.
