1. Laser satellites exist IRL, afaik. They're certainly possible.

2. In standard NS ,there is a very simple guideline. The person being attacked decides the OOC condition of the attack. You do not get to ignore any defenses Kalasparata decides to use, as you're the attacker. It would be unfair otherwise.

A kalaspratan airforce soldier flew directly above a Grandian plane and shot an atom bomb on it when it was bellow, this did not touch any of the land, just the plane!
We're now asking for help from others!

The shockwave from the nuclear blast knocked out all communications for only a few seconds, and could be seen from several kilometres away. In a flash of blinding light, three hundred pilots and aerial crewmembers were obliterated.

Since the bomb was detonated above ground, there was little fallout, but the psychological effect was terrifying enough.
