3 R-191 Albatross airlifters took off from an airfield in Ventio, carrying a total of 300 airborne soldiers. The aircraft also carried 6 armored personnel carriers, specifically the Avetine Lightweight Mobile Combat Vehicle, which was similar to a BMD-3, but used more advanced weaponry and networking. They were escorted by 3 Aquila II and 6 Aquila III aircraft, as well as 5 Falcon II fighters. However the accompanying planes' main task would be to ensure the airlifters can drop their troops safely and distract enemy air presence. The paratroopers will land in the outskirts of Mariupol to meet with allied forces through a fast assault upon landing.

Operations Center Alpha
State Armed Forces Supreme Command HQ
Iboekota, National Socialist State of Rikana

"...and forgive me, Your Excellency, for having said such a bold statement, but I personally think we have no solid reason to participate in this war any further, other than to gain an ally. Our useful resources might as well be utilized for a more important cause."

Supreme President Rizmanni stared into the eyes of Grand Admiral Hamilt across the table. Though under normal circumstances he would be disappointed at what his subordinate had said, what the Admiral said was true, to some extent. Over the past few weeks, the Rikanan forces deployed in Novograd to fight for the Junta had been pushed back by the pro-government rebels and their foreign supporters. Their superior technology and the large amount of troops present made the Rikanans' morale drop drastically.

Some even started questioning the actual reason they were being sent to fight a war for another country, far away from home, outnumbered and outgunned by the enemy, and without a logical reason to push them forwards. Only the ones with extreme loyalty to the State and the Party kept their calm and still willed to fight. Rizmanni would've executed them for mild treason if it wasn't for the fact that those troops were stranded thousands of kilometers away from their homeland.

With many nations siding against the Junta, Rikana had instead been actively aiding the Junta in the war. Recently, SAFSC received news that Usea was intervening in the war on the Junta's side. Their advanced technology (by Rikanan standards, anyway) could prove beneficial in the conflict. But even then, they would probably still be outnumbered by the pro-government forces. The countries assisting the rebels had been dragged into the civil war to fight for the "democracy" they uphold, and would likely not let anyone or anything stand in their way of reestablishing a democratic Novogradi state.

Rizmanni muttered a curse under his breath. What else could they possibly do? Throw in another handful of troops over there to even out the numbers? If the SAF were entirely made of expendable synthetic humanoids, the Supreme President wouldn't think twice about sending an entire Corps to fight in the war. But soldiers are humans, and Rizmanni knew their valuable lives couldn't be replaced by simply "manufacturing" new ones. There was only one thought clouding his mind right now.

Getting his men out of there and back home. But that would mean surrendering to the rebel forces.

"Sir?"

Rizmanni looked up to find the Grand Admiral staring at him expectantly. Only now the Supreme President realized the proud SAF that was seen as the guardian angel of Rikana was, in fact, inferior to the armed forces of other seemingly weaker countries. He must take action now, to either save his men or order them to continue fighting for his personal goals. Rikana could continue to support the Junta should he decide to pull his men back to their homeland, although only financially. On the other hand, he couldn't guarantee the lives of his troops, should he decide to order them to keep on fighting.

"Normally, I wouldn't even think of having to issue this order," he said. Hamilt raised an eyebrow. "We will continue to financially support the military Junta, but our forces would need some time to rest and recover," he finally said. "It is time we pull our troops out of Novograd, Admiral. Do what you can do in your power as commanding officer of Operation Iron Hammer."

That's right guys, I've decided to drop out of this RP. Mainly because I have a plethora of things I need to do IRL and the little time I have for NS, but also for the reasons stated by my President above. It's been a fun ride with you guys, and I thank you all, specifically the OP, for giving me the chance to participate.

P.S: Rikana would still continue supporting the Junta financially, as I also stated above. I'll put in more details in a separate IC post.

SOUTHERN MOUTH OF THE RED SEA

The fleet stopped just short of fully entering the Red Sea once they saw the massive fleet buildup just North of them. The admiral had ordered that the fleet intercept any and all communications to figure out what the hell is going on. What they found out was that everything they had been given on the war was wrong, and that they were completely outnumbered and outgunned, but not out-teched. Plus, that they were going in to support the wrong side, but were slowly realizing that they could not support the current pro-Democratic forces. Because in the Usean Codes, it states that if the militaries of Usea say that the gov't of Usea and it's countries is corrupt, that the military may remove the gov't from power and replace it. The military has the final say in the governments of Usea in short. So by that logic, the Usean forces had to support the Junta, which was heavily outnumbered and gunned. "What's the plan sir?" Asked the skipper to the admiral. "Well, we hail the fleet in front of us." "Yessir."

The Emmerian fleet was hailed by the ISAFS Galli.

"This is the Usean second invasion fleet fragment. We are hailing you to figure out your stance in the war. But whatever it is, we request that you pull out immediately. The same goes for any allies of yours. For all your doing is adding fuel to the fire. Let this war play out between the two forces on the mainland."
This of course, was just to see how easily the fleet would pull out of the war, and to see where it stood. If it stood against the Junta, the Usean fleet was going to have a hard fight ahead of it since it was outnumbered 1:10 almost.
